I had a very odd dream last night, complete with a college friend I haven’t seen or talked to in years. She and many others whom I can’t recall were judging me for needing an extra pillow for my back as I sat on the ground next to a wall for a presentation.
Not really sure wtf was going on, but I was mad I wasn’t getting the special pregnant attention that I really needed!!
@lillywonderland Lol pregnancy dreams are wild. Maybe there is a hidden meaning. You should look up something about college and judging being in your dream! I'm a weirdo that does that though.
Has anyone used the Bactine cleaning/first aid spray that says its "No Sting?" Does it really not sting? I have to clean some road rash on DS's face when I get home today and really don't want to use something that's going to hurt him even more... I'm ready to give myself an open wound to test it out on....
@nomangos23 I think usually the 3rd trimester. I didn’t get any until 39 weeks and they’re so faint and tiny that nobody would ever notice them. I also know that a lot of women get that after birth when everything is shrinking back. Ones I’ve had on my hips since puberty are getting longer currently
@nomangos23 I've already got some stretch marks on my boobs (my boobs were not the biggest to start with). Haven't noticed any on my belly yet. And I am using lotion every day. I'm not surprised that I'm getting them tho. I have stretch marks all over. I even have really bad stretch marks on my knees from growing too fast lol.

It’s DH’s birthday today and he took off work. I was thinking he’d want to do all these things together, but he’s just been playing video games and programming for the last 4 hours.
Confession (because @themadcamel): I lotion my bump twice daily with some stupid $30/bottle lotion even though I KNOW it does nothing to prevent stretch marks.
@nomangos23 I’ve heard second/third tri and also the shrinking back thing.
@redbreast35 I don’t think any of the no sting ones really don’t sting. I usually just do soap and water.
Does anyone have the linea negra yet? I don’t think I got one with DS until I was like 36wks...
@lillywonderland I lotion up before bed every night with TriLastin. I used it with DS and didn't get any stretch marks on my stomach (already had some on my hips/butt from puberty), so I figured eh, what the hell.
I've found that lotioning keeps my skin nice and soft so I don't get itchy. I think that's a big driver in getting really bad stretch marks so I make it a point not to scratch at all. I also drink collagen every day because it helps with skin elasticity and joint pain.
ETA: No linea negra yet! I think I got it somewhere around 34/35 weeks.

@lillywonderland DH swears he could see it since the start of second tri, and I kiiiinda see something. I’ve read that they’re more prominent on darker skin tones though. I’m more concerned about all of the hair that’s cropped up around my belly button lol.
@nomangos23 Like @LJMoon6 I've already gotten some on my hip area (weird) and boobs. But I get them super easily. I have them up and down my spine and knees from growing too fast too. Genetics suck.
I definitely lotion up everyday even though I think I'm doomed anyway. I love the Mama Mio stuff.

undertones. My brother has even darker skin than I do and once when we were little my mom got asked if he was adopted because his skin is just so tan/dark.

@lillywonderland I'm definitely rocking the linea negra. I don't mind it in general but it makes me crazy because the part below my belly button doesn't line up with the part above!
@RedBreast35 I totally understand the desire to make your own open wound and test it, but rather, maybe just start with it diluted with some water on a wash cloth and add a little more if it does okay? Why am I getting choked up about this for you... damnit I still have 27 minutes until I leave work to go pick up DS! I swear every afternoon I’m like sobbing until I get to go pick him up now.. how will I do this with a newborn too?!?!
@RedBreast35 poor little guy! Do you think you need to clean it again or can you just put some bacitracin on it? I’ve found that bacitracin is my go to for everything! I’m like the grandfather from my big fat Greek wedding with the windex.

Aren't stretch marks genetic? My mom only had a few on her chest and none on her belly, but I still rub the lotion into my skin. Confession though, I'm a total lotion hoe. Love the stuff. Always have. Get obsessive about it even before pregnancy.
DH decided to randomly finish painting the bathroom while I was napping yesterday. Without asking or prompting. How do I check to find out if he has been replaced by a pod person? Then today, he cleaned out the gutters! Y'all. I'm getting concerned here.

Not gonna lie, I’m struggling a little more with the body image stuff this time since I don’t have a husband around to build me up. Still in shock at what is happening in my life. Please let me still be in the PG even tho I’m in and out. So much shit going on, but I need you all!

And my random- my son thinks he’s funny and sneaks his tricycle into the house and rides through the kitchen. I keep telling him the rules so yesterday I put it up and had him mop the kitchen floors before he could have it back. Well today, he tried to bring that tricycle back in. I said no, and come to find out, he wanted to make the floors dirty so he could mop. I told him he could mop without making the mess first. I wonder how long I can expect him to enjoy swiffering the floors!!?! Pretty stinking cute, that little booger!
@blitzybee that's so cute of your son! Glad you checked in, I've been thinking about you and hoping things are OK; can only imagine how hard it must be. I'm so sorry you're dealing with this.
AFM, I have boob stretch marks from puberty so expected to get a ton with DS, but ended up with one big one on my hip that turned up at 38 weeks and that was it. Still half expecting to get a bunch this time, but only remember to lotion if I feel dry or itchy and that hasn't been often.

Re cellulite - same here, sister! But it goes away (well, I’ve done this two times before and it has). I find that my cellulite responds well to exercise - not sure if that’s universal?
@ternsetc same! It’s like the boob skin is sooo thin. I have always had stretch marks and really saggy boobs. I can’t blame my kids at all! I am kind of whatever about it as long as I feel fit. Which I am obviously not feeling atm.
