Also, I'm about to leave work, which means no PC, which means limited bumping... so I'm sure this trophy will be short lived for me. Have a great weekend everyone! Nice job today!!!

Yo I was just stepping up my gif game for next time we do superlatives. I'm set to do some dethroning myself. (No lie: I am very proud of that giffing.) ("giffing"?) Who else is now getting nOtHiNg done todayyyy...
@shamrocandroll Have you ever heard that Billie Ellish song, "you should see me in a crown"? It came instantly to mind. Now I've got to listen to it...
@kagesstarshroom oh god, I don't know why I still opened that spoiler even after I read your TW. Itchy itchy itchy.... and all that talk about whatever the bloody hell sprickets/creekits/monster crickets are... I just have one word. NOPE.

@tyrion_ *TW* Had a similar experience in previous BMB. A lot of nastiness that made me more scared of the internet than I had been previously. I hope that the fact that most of us are honest and open here eases your anxiety some. Hugs to you.
I’m in the graphic design field and we call them gifs lol. But it’s funny because if I talk to another designer we all mention how it’s supposed to be pronounced and refuse lol.
In other news, MH had his follow up with the ortho today. Another month in the boot. On one hand, I've absolutely loved having him home to help in the evenings and doing projects around the house during the day. On the other hand, he's not getting paid 100%, and we should be putting that all into savings right now with the hopes of having a baby. Blahhh...

Found a tick embedded in my stomach this morning and I had to use tweezers to get it out. By myself. MH was out in the woods yesterday, so this is clearly his fault. He should be afraid to come home today. And I kind of want to burn my house down in case there are more. Tick in spoiler. 🤢
Anyone else go overboard shopping and then throw some boxers in your cart just so you can be like yea I spent a lot but see DH, I thought of you! ...just me? 😬
@b_1029 my go to is "I'm stopping at (store) after work. Do you need any personal items?" Answer is almost always no, but I at least make the offer!

@bobbyflies2020 I did save it, just in case. And because I can't kill crunchy things, so I'll leave it for MH to deal with. I found it a couple hours after a t-shirt change mid-morning and it was not there when I initially got dressed, so I don't think it was in for very long. I read somewhere that the odds of Lyme are significantly higher if it's been in for 24+ hours, so fingers crossed that's true
@ruby696 I think they only live a day or so once they are indoors and can’t feed so check yourselves really well for the next couple of days. Unless the ticks where you are a different species or something than the ones here. In that case, time for a new house. We have a lot of deer that go through our yard so I’m always worried about checking DH but I somehow never considered the possibility that he could bring one in the house on his clothes or something. Something new to worry about!
@ruby696 that is terrifying. Mh just pulled one out the other day too. They freak me out!! Yours looks HUGE. Blehhhh. Glad you were able to remove it ok. I can’t imagine trying to calm down enough to use tweezers properly.
@bows22 MH spends time in the "wilderness" for work and he usually changes in the garage, but not last night. Last year we actually saw three of them crawling on the kitchen floor TOWARDS ME before he started taking his clothes off in the garage. So effing disgusting.
@ruby696 Oh no!!!! That’s just no! Ugh! I hate ticks! How did you get it out? I’m a firm believer in the hot matchstick theory but it looks like you got him!
@ruby696 I’m sorry but I’m gonna be devil’s advocate here for your safety. I know firsthand that dealing with Lyme is hell, and the majority of mainstream info out there about ticks & Lyme is TOTAL BS. It’s an old wives tale that they must be embedded for 24 hours before they can transfer their nasty bacteria to you. It’s in their bite/mouths, so if you’ve been bitten at all there’s a chance you were exposed to Lyme and/or several other nasty infectious bacteria & viruses. You should get the tick tested ASAP & get antibiotics for 3-6 weeks in the meantime just to be safe. Doxycycline is the go-to treatment but it isn’t pregnancy-safe. You can ask for the equivalent in antibiotics that are pregnancy-safe, or use doxycycline till you’re actively trying again.
**TW for mention of PG & all-around scary s*** & one of the reasons why I’m so psycho about warning people about Lyme**
All my autoimmune problems right now stem from undiagnosed Lyme in my past. I spent YEARS & YEARS feeling frequently sick, exhausted, & not able to get pregnant. I was finally diagnosed with Lyme, treated with doxycycline for months & months, then able to have a healthy pregnancy. Now, after a few years of being “cured” it came back out of hiding & is making it hard to stay pregnant... Please don’t let this anecdote cause you anxiety, but please do get the meds—out of an abundance of caution.
@ruby696 I also have Lyme. I didn’t have a rash or find a tick. I did sleep for 16 hours a day for a few days and kept hitting my head on the car and garage doors because my depth perception was so off. Several other family members have it too, and my twin was even hospitalized several times due to the headaches, which damaged the nerves in her eyes. Consider getting checked, but also know that it’s often already transmitted before bloodwork comes back.
It's funny how it's the little things in life that mean the most...not where you live, or what you drive, or the price tag on your clothes... There's no dollar sign on a piece of mind, this I've come to know! *ZBB*
@brookert615@shoogapoff I’ve seen it but I convinced DH to watch it again with me. He’s really into it! Possible spoiler -
We are only 3 episodes in and he is like traumatized that Alexander Skarsgard is playing a character that is such a jerk (not a strong enough word but I can’t think of a better one) I guess he watched him in something recently where he played a really good guy and “but....he was Tarzan!” poor DH. But I guess it’s props to Skarsgard that he plays the role so well
Wow, lots of good info on Lyme. I saved it in a Ziplock bag, and we'll have it tested. @brookert615 you pull them straight out, slowly with tweezers. No twisting or burning.
@ruby696@keikilove@NYTino24 I will add a lyme fact. You can get it twice. My stepsister got it twice--she has an occupation where she is outside in the PA wilderness a lot, so it makes sense. She was like "...how" and the docs were like, "yeah, you can get it twice."
Just donated blood and I tried to make a joke when the girl was asking if I was nervous, something along the lines of “eh been stuck with needles/ done several procedures over the last year and a half of TTGP so it doesn’t bother me anymore”. She asked if I wanted a boy or girl to which I said “anything at this point” and she said “maybe you can adopt”...I have never shut down with a person so quickly. Didn’t respond or really talk to her the rest of the time. 🙄🙄🙄🙄
@brookert615 it’s ok, my inner rage at least distracted me from the actual donation 😂 I just chalk it up to general ignorance- either she doesn’t have kids or it was super easy for her, and maybe she doesn’t know anyone who had to struggle to conceive. It just boils my blood when that’s the first thing people say and dude you don’t even KNOW ME! Haha.
@b_1029 damn that escalated quickly! Also what's with asking "boy or girl"? You can't donate blood when you're PG so why would anyone even ask you that? Some people 😒
