Hi! Loving the weekly randoms! *waves white flag* jet lag kicking our butts here at home. SO happy to be home. Crappy weather, though. So much misty rain. My poor H is working overtime because the other guy he works with got in a pretty serious motorcycle accident. Dozen of broken bones or so, and he's going to be out for 3 months at least. H's company is sending in some backup to help my H but not until next week. *TW living child mentioned*

My toddler is taking the time change the worst. We were in Florida for almost 6 weeks so I feel like we both had the chance to really adapt to the time change over there. The red eye flight was pretty bad. DD slept most of the time and did well, but it was a packed flight on a super old plane and my middle seat had this uncomfortable bar (or something?) in the seat that just exasperated my usual airplane tailbone pain even more. And it was so hot on the plane. Luckily there was no line at immigration and we were reunited with my H pretty quickly. Looking forward to catching up.

  • I would love to revisit the GTKY thread I made for weird things seen on the side of the road/median.

There's some kind of big, plush leather chair in the road in the shoulder after the lane that breaks off to the on ramp of the freeway. It showed up sometime last week and it is still there as of right now.

  • @mercury94 Ugh, that is such a backhanded comment, even without the IF aspect.  Like, way to take something you should feel good about and put a negative spin on it.  Why do people seem to love to do that?  Sorry, friend.  Huge congrats on the weight loss!  It's no easy feat!

  • Anyone affected by the thunderstorms / tornadoes yesterday?! We were luckily spared and just got a lot of rain, wind, and lightning, but lots of people in the county were without power and a HS in the county next to us suffered damage. Getting up and out of the house wasn’t fun today due to the late bedtime.

My BIL's car has all kinds of dents from the hail and our friends place was completely flooded at the bottom of their driveway. • Also random, I just ate a 2.83 oz bag of M&Ms on my way home. It was bigger than fun size, but not full size... so I played that game of needing more to feel satisfied and then feeling like I should just finish them. Ugh, AF better not be on her way... I did feel slightly satisfied that I got to watch some dummy with their convertible top down get wet. There was plenty of room and time to pull over to do it. The clouds were very obviously about to open in a downpour!

I also had the joy of just going into my basement to find water trickling in on three sides.  We have had the problem before so it's nothing new but it's still sucks.  So the dehumidifier is on and we mopped up what we could.
