any new years resolutions?

I kind of was thinking of resolving to get rid of the last of my baby belly, but having just invested in the size that currently fits me, the donuts downstairs look all the more enticing.  *sigh*

How about you?  Any New Years resolutions for yourself?

Re: any new years resolutions?

  • Save every penny we can (We've decided to eat out twice a month once we move- one will be my pick and one will be DH's)

I'm going to start the couch to 5k again... I almost made it before, I should be able to do it again.  DH is going to buy me a jogging stroller if I can finish before April... when I'm going to find a 5k in DC... I hope

  • Yes, but technically I've already begun.  Lose weight!  The weight that I put on my last two years of college and added to from having a baby MUST come off this year.  I've already lost a few lbs.  Woo hoo!

    what's your weight loss strategy?

  • Well, I NEVER make resolutions--they just seem like all talk to me.  Like who wants to jog when it's cold out?  But I was just tempted to talk about my baby weight too, lol.

Yesterday I bought a pair of jeans in the next smaller size (woo!), and when I got home, I almost fit into my favorite pre-pregnancy jeans (I could get them over my hips, just not shut).  So I guess I feel like eating a pint of ice cream every night is clearly working, lol!

But I'm resolved to get this frickin house set up already!!  Painters will start this weekend after it's taken us almost a month to paint DD's room (OMG we're still not done).  Not having things in their set spot and not being able to cook (stove doesn't work) are literally killing me.  I haven't been in this many bad moods I think ever.

  • My life is going to be changing so much within the next couple of weeks, so I don't think I will be making any resolutions. But my goals are to

    1. successfully EBF the boys

    2. loose the weight I've put on with this pregnancy (plus the 10lbs that I wanted to lose prior to getting pregnant)

    3. eat out much less.

    4. not be too cranky when sleep deprived

Hopefully having twins and EBFing will make the losing weight and eating out less more attainable. Don't know about the last one.

  • I generally don't make New Year's Resolutions but I do have some hopes and goals for 2010. Like jalaiaa my life is going to turn upside down soon....

     - figure out the status of my corporate job by January 20th - either get a gigantic new job with quite a bit of travel, slide into another filler position and work at home, or quit the rat race completely and start my own business

    - take at least 2 cooking classes and start guitar lessons before Squirt arrives in March

     - CD Squirt in an area where barely anyone CD's and people think I'm nuts for trying (I have 18 AIO's and 4 XS covers in my stash...can't go back now.)

     - breastfeed for at least 6 months

     - try to be more relaxed and let people help once in awhile...be a positive source of calm for my son

     - retain and continue to grow my relationship with my wonderful husband despite the chaos that is soon to arrive!

     - plan and cook at least 3 nights per week and learn to use the stuff I freeze ;)

     - keep running for at least 1 more month (please!), run a 5K by May / June, register for a fall / early winter half marathon and beat my October 2008 time.

I'm exhausted just thinking about it all! But thanks for helping me get it down on paper....now transferring to my journal where I can look at frequently.
