  • @canuckbaby sometimes men are so dense.
  • Loading the player...
  • @catmommac - Good luck with the house situation! House shopping and moving are so stressful in the best of times; I give you so much credit for dealing with it while expecting!
@wearyfuzzball - I've spent most of the day looking up articles on the pros and cons of circumcision. I'm pretty sure my employer (and our IT department) would have preferred babymoon research, lol.
  • @ellem29 At least the IT dept will get a kick out of that 😂
  • @luckystar28 i am super annoyed by the hijacked fetal sex thread too. I don’t want to have to scroll through a thousand posts of “I’m doing a balloon that’s pink” “oh how cute!” “My cousin did cupcakes” just to get to peoples results. I already ignore the US thread unless I see a name I know. I guess I’ll have to ignore that one too.
  • @Dcwtada I love my van. It makes life with 4 kids so much easier. I used to drive a Toyota Camry and I don't know how I ever survived.

    #vanforlyfe
  • @emeraldcity603 what kind of van do you have?
  • @Dcwtada I have been thinking of giving mine a name and just talking about her like she is another member of the family. I have never understood the antivan mindset.
  • Lmao! Mine is Vanessa but creativity was never my strong suit ;)
  • @emeraldcity603 ^^^^ lmao I knew I liked you
  • @nmbrcrnchr1 I have a 2018 Honda Odyssey. The only thing that would make it better would be a built in vacuum, stow and go seat storage, and a screen that synced the map from my phone (my mom's car has that and it is amazing). I know other vans have some of these features but I'm a Honda girl.
  • edited November 2018
@emeraldcity603 what year is your Honda? We just bought a 2018 Honda and it has Android Auto (and the iPhone version) which syncs your phone map to the car screen. It's amazing!

ETA: I'm also a Honda girl. Once we have (hopefully) a growing family, I'm definitely considering the Odyssey!
  • @wearyfuzzball I swear mine is a 2018. Maybe I need to check that. I plan to trade it in and get the next newest model in about 2 years so hopefully I get all the features I want.

My phone syncs with messages and calls but I can't see my map. I need to see if that is something I'm missing out on.
  • I'm so unbelievably excited for all the van love! ❤
  • @emeraldcity603 So weird.. the only thing I can think of is that ours only works if our phone is plugged into a specific USB port in our car to sync the map. I checked online and it looks like the 2018 Odyssey has Android auto and Apple car play, so you should be able to do it!
  • Just wanted to chime in on van love. We have a Kia Sedona as of last year. No longer have to deal with getting DD into a car seat as a struggle with a jerk who parks so close to us. Sliding doors are wonderful! #lifechanging

  • Ugh. I'm one of those antivan people but the more I think about loading 2 kids and a dog into my car everyday (I have a courthouse facility dog that comes to and from work with me) the closer I get to converting. Luckily(?) That decision is way in the future. DH needs a new truck before baby #2 gets here because he does not have a full sized can right now and can only fit one car seat. I have at least 5 years till a new car.
  • Van envy. We are letting my car die a slow death, and I am so ready for something new. We are also saving up a down payment for our next house, so that's the highest priority right now. No idea how I will fit a second car seat into my car though. 😖
  • @wearfuzzball where is this special USB plug? I have an android and ever since I got it my phone has been funny in it. It "slow charges" so I can't even charge my phone in the van. Slow charge means it takes 24 hours to fully charge your phone.
  • @kdestito I’m glad to see you back! I’m sorry you got some bad news at your ultrasound. I hope those SCHs give you the least amount of trouble possible and resolve on their own.
  • @kdestito I have a very large SCH. It takes up half of the placenta. I have been taking it easy and pretty much been on modified bedrest and that has improved things. **TW meaning this Wednesday will be 2 weeks with no bleeding or spotting. TW** I'm glad you're here. I lurk the May board because they have a thread specifically dedicated to SCH. There are several of them with them. Reading through it has helped calm my nerves some and just see what others are experiencing.
  • We have a hyundai sante fe xl - its a 7 seater.  We got it in january after we wrote off our escape. Lol and it is just the two of us plus my brother in law on occasion. Looking forward to utilizing the space more than just hauling the car seat stroller set we got on Saturday plus the swing and high chair we picked up
  • Our plan was to replace DH’s car in a year or two with a sedan and then replace mine with an SUV another few years after that. Then my transmission blew out this summer and we decided to go ahead and replace mine with a 2018 Honda Civic. So when we decide to replace DH’s, we’ll switch cars and I’ll get an SUV.
  • @antera23 Thank you! I was very thrown off, because I haven't had anything that would indicate they were there... I know I will feel better after seeing the Dr. I was only told by the Utech about them so far.

@emeraldcity603, I will have to go lurk the May board for that thread, thanks!! Fx yours does what it needs to and that you have a H&H 9, and LO in June!!!
  • @emeraldcity603 We own a Clarity, not an Odyssey, but our USB is under the shift buttons on the drivers side. I'm not sure which type of Odyssey you have, but Honda has info online on how to setup Android auto: https://m.owners.honda.com/howto/2018/odyssey/9_speed_automatic_ex
  • @wearyfuzzball thanks for the link. I am going to check that out today.
  • All the van talk is tipping away from the SUV side. We have a passat and pruis c. My awesome tiney tiny pruis c will have to be replaced  :'( .
  • Van Mom for life over here!  We have the Toyota Sienna and I looove it!  With #5 on the way, we have no other option, but I've had a minivan since I was expecting #2 .  The next step for us would be a bus :D
  • I have a Subaru Forester that I love.  It should fit two car seats but definitely isn't as big as a van!
  • @vv826 Yes, sold!  If they could add seatbelts, heated seats, and a drop down screen for long trips ;)
