I just scheduled my NT scan for Monday and want to throw up. This is when we found the CDH with my daughter.
Also we are having another house issue. I heard some loud noises that sounded like they were coming from underneath the floor and then we noticed two cracked tiles. DH heard the noise again yesterday and now we have more cracked tiles. We haven't even lived here a month. I'm used to the normal settling cracks but this house is brand new and this isn't normal settling.
I feel like I'm slightly starting to panic. I found out that I'm going to be going on-site to work at my client's site. I thought maybe I could start in two weeks, but they want me to start much sooner. My MS has not been great and I'm really nervous I'm going to feel like crap at work. Does anyone have any suggestions on how they get through the day at work when they are feeling constantly nauseous??
@chrssyms My MS is not nearly as bad as yours, but I pretty much am always snacking on something small or sucking on a preggie pop drop to help at work.

I kept mints in my pocket and a sleeve of saltines in my purse at all times. I work in a medical setting so the smells are tough. I had a little thing of Essential Oils (lavender and peppermint) to help as well. Put a little on my wrist and if I was with a patient and I felt nausea coming on, take a discretely quick sniff. It didn't work 100% of the time but definitely helped!
@chrssyms Obviously haven't had NEARLY the rough go with nausea that you have, but when something does feel a little off, I found some ginger gummies in the health market section of my grocery store that have done the trick. That, and Sea Bands. No idea if that would touch yours...but it's a try, anyway.
@sparklingdiamond Good lord with your house issues! That sucks. Did you serve as the GC or did you have a homebuilder do that? For SURE call them...whoever the sub was for that piece should have a warranty on their work because that's not normal. So sorry you're having to deal with that.
@amaren-2 they didnt really tell me anything at my NT scan so it just seemed more like my first US except with having to empty my bladder 4 times. What made me super nervous was seeing my doctors number pop up on my phone today. Thats when i wish DH was home. I will be thinking of you tomorrow!
@canuckbaby Thanks, it is all very nerve racking at this stage. I remember at DSs NT scan they told us the result then, (at least the neck flap or whatever) but this is a different OB so they may not do that.
I don't remember who/where is was posted but I wanted to report that at my 12 wk apt today my Dr used the Doppler and struggled to fine anything. As she was about to switch to US she found the babe. So even someone who does this for a living struggled to find it at this stage. (I do not have a tilted uterus)
Had a BIG basketball game tonight...it was an away game, so I wound up at a sports bar working my way through an O'Doul's for two hours, screaming at the TV, manically refreshing Twitter, and chewing on my sweatshirt. Gonna need to find something to calm me down during those as this pregnancy progresses...I know in my heart of hearts Baby doesn't really understand the words I said about the ref who called a foul on our player for getting kicked in the face, but it's still probably not the most healthy thing for me. BUT WE WON! (This is huge in our world. One step closer to still having insurance by the time Baby gets here! Still grinning like a madwoman, now that the game is over.)
@eleven_ I didn’t realize usernames were such a big deal to be honest. I’ve changed it so anyone can identify me now but it hasn’t switched over for some reason yet.
@nmbrcrnchr1 I think you have to do it on PC. You click on their username and there is some sort of ignore button I think.

My son woke up crying last night at 11:30 so I brought him in bed with us . Then my husband couldn't sleep so got up then came back to bed later . Then my son was snoring. They both kept waking me up and now I'm tired.
@sparklingdiamond sorry you had a rough night of sleep too. It’s the worst when it’s one event after another and boom morning is here and all you want to do is sleep.
Also, I hope someone is keeping track of the post it note. Why do people only want to post the sex of their baby and then argue they don’t have to post a lot to be a part of the community? Uh, well actually that’s exactly how this kind of works. People that don’t post a lot and offer support in return can stay right here on TB when most move to the private fb IMO. We had a few like that in our last BMB and we ended up deleting them from fb since they weren’t active and people were posting more personal information in the group. I look at TB as a trial run for end game when we all have babies in our arms and want to continue to support our ups and downs beyond pregnancy symptoms. Maybe some of the posters aren’t thinking that far ahead?

@meatballs37, I was wondering the same thing. Like, why is this the hill you’re willing to die on?? And yes to the post it note.

@meatballs37 I know you can ignore users, I’m not looking for that (yet) but someone earlier on accidentally ignored the Introduction Thread and she said it never came back...I guess I’ll log onto my desktop later and check it out. Also agree, you can’t be part of a community if all you do is lurk in the background and then come to complain about the way the active participants are running things, well you can but I hope those in charge of fb later on wouldn’t let those people in to a private group. There’s a right way of going about things. I think if people want to change how things are going they should first participate and then bring up the change in a discussion. To me I’d be much more open than just hearing people “wah, wah, wah, monopolizing, blah blah blah”
@nmbrcrnchr1 ohhhh! I remember that. Hmmm that would be a nice feature. If you figure it out, update us. I’m sure a few here would love to hit ignore on threads.

Maybe we should have one thread for all the AW/one-offs/white knights/lime twins/don't want to participate but here's a pic of my ute, etc. so the rest of us can make that post disappear and never read any of it Except they would continue to start new threads anyway because we're not the boss of them
I don’t think we are far off from a private Bump group. Just keep the bump admin drama (not the #admin obviously lol) and drive by/BSC posters to a minimum. I feel like I am a post away most days from getting a warning.
Edit- @bakerstreetboys this is my mental image after you said that
I agree with you ladies my last bmb I joined super late and even then I was a super lurker and never really posted much so I knew I had no say in how things were ran. besides most of you have had more bmb experience and know how things can get lost and I wouldn't want to miss someone's announcement.
I mean, I feel kind of bad it’s the thread I started that’s causing drama. Now someone specifically commented on the language I used to justify posting all the comments. This is too much for me lol. Also, every time I see a new comment I’m excited to see what people are having and then it’s just people complaining 😑 Totally murking the water of a supposed to be fun thread! Like hello I told you all my baby is a boy on there! Stop being jerks! lol
I don’t post often but I read most threads. Mostly because I either have nothing new to contribute.
We close on our house today and the new house on Friday. Both have 30 day occupancy clauses. I’m nervous of the dates lining up. Also sad because this this was our first/starter house. But we need the space of the new house and I’m totally in love with the new one. Bittersweet day. Pregnancy emotions are not helping.
I don't know why someone who never participates thinks they can dictate how things are ran on this board. Why complain if you aren't willing to take the time to be apart of the community?
Seriously, the best place for someone to post a picture of their ute is in a place where people actually know who they are. We don't know them and quite frankly, I don't want to see a picture of their ute.
I am really a horrible employee. I've spent the majority of my morning researching places to go for our babymoon. Way more fun than actually working...
Ha I hope this doesn’t end up being an unpopular opinion and I hope I don’t end up (or am not already!) on a post-it note!
On one hand, I totally understand where you ladies are coming from that you don’t just get to come in and dictate how something is done if you don’t put much in to the community. You get out what you put in and you just can’t come in and try to go against the grain. Also, I agree with @luckystar28 that the most annoying thing to me is that I think I’m going to find out what gender someone is having and it’s just more discussion or complaining hah
Now on the other hand, their perspective wasn’t completely off base asking a follow-on question to something that was immediately posted. I might also tend to be less confrontational about things because I feel like I only have so much energy and I just get lazy. Haha so when I think about the effort it will take me to actually do something or say something, it usually just doesn’t seem worth it and I lose interest.
My (maybe unwelcome) suggestion would be, let’s not waste anymore energy on this particular incident and focus on the great things that are going on or worry about the important things. We all have a lot to be thankful for right now! I know I’m thankful for the fact this board is a welcome distraction from my MS 🤗
Wow, are these pregnancy hormones out of control. I know that not everyone is religious (or of the same religion), but I am and since becoming a mom, Christmas has become extra emotional for me. I’m decorating the bookshelves while the twins nap (my oldest is at preschool) and I’m listening to Christmas music. Two songs have come on that make me tear up every time. One is Breath of Heaven, the other is Mary Did You Know. Joseph’s Lullaby is another one. Thinking about Mary giving birth in a stable, unsure of what was to come, and being told what her son represented but just wanting to protect him, just to let him be a baby...I cry listening to them every time. I feel like the Christmas story has so much more emotional punch now that I have my own babies.

@luckystar28 My three and four year old test my patience allllll day long. I must be crazy for doing this again. Then I think of those newborn baby snuggles and I know that somehow I can make this work. There may be a lot of wine involved though.

I got my furbabies back from boarding. I think they thought we were abandoning them. My dog cried all the way home and my cat growled at us. Of course, my cat loves me so much he follows me around the house all day but he has bitten me several times since we arrived home. I hope that is all he does as far as retaliation.
