Had the cutest coffee art this morning! I have no idea how people do this. I can’t even draw a normal looking pumpkin let alone do it in coffee.

@b_1029 That's amazing!!! I have no idea how they do that! I worked at a chocolate/coffee shop as a seasonal job a few years ago and they never taught those fun designs I barely knew how to make a decent latte 

I can't believe how fast October flew by! It was a pretty good month though! I am very excited for Thanksgiving and Christmas  Not so excited about trying to plan what we are going to be doing though as we are far from our families. Anyone feel the same way? I am overwhelmed by that.

@jiraiya Definitely excited for holiday season! I've decided to do a goose for Thanksgiving, so now I'm pretty hyped up for planning our meal

@mamanbebe Oh wow! Goose! I've never made my own thanksgiving meal, just helped, but that sounds like it will be really great! My FIL smokes his turkey and it actually comes out amazing, but we won't be able to be with them since they're almost 3,000 miles away  my grandfather invited us to their house but I haven't talked to H about it yet. I kind of want our first married Thanksgiving together to be just us but then I think well maybe we should spend time with family (It will be most of his wife's family who we don't really know at all). I don't know what to do! But I digress, have you ever done goose before?

@jiraiya I think Thanksgiving for just the two of you would be really sweet. It's kind of fun to spend that time together decompressing, enjoying each other's company and avoiding any potential drama from not being able to see everyone for the holiday. That being said, I still enjoy being away from family for Thanksgiving but like being together for Christmas when possible And I have never cooked a goose! I was reading about it on the farm's website and supposedly they are fattier and more flavorful than turkey, so I'm really looking forward to it. 



Also, I have just need to put this here because it's cracking me up!

@jiraiya our families are 2,000 miles away and we have spent all holidays alone together. It's kind of sad, but it's also kind of nice. I think the hardest part is being on social media and seeing photos of families together, but let's face it: social media gives us severe FOMO on any given day, and holidays are no different. It's definitely fun to not have to get dressed and go anywhere, though!

@riff323 You're definitely right! The pictures on social media are the worst part! I've missed so many things but its just so expensive to travel. Plus i've gone home more times than my family has visited me (zero) so if they want to see us they can come down for a change lol. We are pretty comfy people so my H will definitely enjoy just lounging around & eating good food. But it's also nice to go to those family get togethers. Maybe next year!

I’m having serious mixed feelings about the upcoming holidays. 

Im super excited and pumped because who doesn’t love this time of year?! But ***TW deceased family***

 my father passed away over the summer and I am so sad he won’t be with us. And I am worried about how hard this will be on my mom.

@mamanbebe Oh for sure! You hit the nail on the head with that. Christmas is definitely a holiday I like spending with family but I haven't had one with just DH yet so that would be nice too. I haven't seen my family for Christmas since 2014 so i'm overdue for that. However like I mentioned before they haven't tried to come see me at all even when it wasn't the holidays.... Now that i've moved closer to where they are (they're in NJ), the drive is only about 12 hours so doable because it's not a plane ticket. But I still have to decide if I even WANT to go up there. Lots of drama and issues! & yes that sounds great about the goose! I imagine it being a good cross between a duck and a turkey but i've never had it myself. You definitely have to let us know how it turns out if you end up doing it! & that gif is hysterical!! Cats are the funniest creatures

I love Thanksgiving! We have a ton of family in town, and my parents drive down to visit. Last year I think we had a total of 40 people. My entire family with SOs makes 10, DH's side is 7, plus he has a cousin that comes with his family = 9 more, and then some friends and whoever makes it into town. It's so crazy and fun! We have 2 or 3 turkeys and a ham, so many pies and side dishes. 
Thankfully we do it at my IL's house and everyone gets assigned a different dish to bring. I normally do 3 or 4 pies and DH smokes a turkey. So it's not overwhelming.

Wow what a crazy story! Poor woman was diagnosed with stage 4 bladder cancer but instead decides that she's pregnant with six babies.

So I saw this article on a site that is “supposedly” articles that look like they’re from The Onion but not. Anyway it was about a woman saying she’s engaged to a poltrogist(I can’t spell) and can’t wait to have his child. She hopes it to be human form but had researched a lot about phantom pregnancies and how that would be ok as well, since she believes it, it will go to term, unlike most phantom pregnancies. That made me think of TB

one of my mom’s friend’s thought she got pregnant at 42 after her husband had a vasectomy years before. She thought it was twins-her whole body showed as if it was a baby. It wasn’t, apparently it was menopause and she reacted oddly. She thought she was pregnant for over 2 years. So sad.

I just watched the Dr Phil -- It cut off right before the OB did the ultrasound!  So the one lady has a back pregnancy.. and won't believe anything anyone says.. and oh does not want to be pregnant.  What??

Soooo today is a little hectic so not doing my usual WTO check-in but I do have some news to share...

This happened last night. Surprise proposal that I did NOT see coming. Still in shock. Going to take the weekend to let it all sink in and we need to let our families know (although my whole fam was in on it).

and... I saw that article. Wat. I just can't even. I mean there are times I have thought "Oh! I'm tots KTFU" for like a week... then I POAS and yeah, reality. That is crazy to the nth. 

Also. Control top leggings? That .. no. Just leggings. I basically just wear dresses and leggings now because #nopantsclub. So much more comfortable, and a dress hides any midday bloat. Glad to hear I am not the only one combating it, lol!
