Just got a second BFP (first one was not nearly as convincing). Estimated due date from Nov 30 to Dec 3 (I have a short cycle, so my doctor will be treating me like I’m due in December thanks to last AF.)
second pregnancy, second time conceiving easily, within first two months of TTC. I know they say every pregnancy is different, but I’m girding myself for some rough “morning” sickness and a toddler to wrangle. DS is 17 months old today.
Already have some of the symptoms I remember, so I knew i would get a BFP today. Upset stomach, increased sense of smell, frequent urination (which is why I’m here at 5:55 am my time), that tingly about to have letdown feeling in my breasts. Check check double check.
I got a positive test on Wednesday, but it was SO faint that I didn’t believe it. I took a digital test on Thursday and it was a BFP. Based on LMP, I’m due 12/4! I am SO excited. I can’t wait to go to the Dr. so we can tell my other 2. DS is 12 and DD will be 9 in June.
Congratulations everyone! This will be our second, too. DS just turned 2 last week. We are thrilled to be adding to our family! I am a little nervous, since it is so early, but we found out at 11 DPO last time, also, so I am hoping to be fortunate and have a healthy pregnancy again this time, too. This was my first month charting, but we have been NTNP since January. I have been tired and my boobs have been sore the past few days. Then on Thursday night, I was massaging one of my breasts and I expressed a drop of milk. I was shocked, since I had production issues the whole year I was bfing. So, I waited until Friday morning and tested with a dollar tree test. I thought that maybe there was a line if I held it in the right light, but also thought I could just be wishful thinking. After work, I bought a FRER and it came back with a second faint line. I keep peeking back at it to make sure it’s real!
Ugh. I'm sorry. I accidentally made a new discussion instead of commenting on this and I can't figure out how to delete it. Anyhoo, what I wrote was:
Hi ladies! I got a very light, but still there BFP this morning so I'm joining the December club! I should be EDD of December 4th with my very first pregnancy/baby. I don't really feel it's real yet so I'm hoping to test again in another few days and hopefully I'll get a much stronger BFP
Hi ladies! I am completely shocked to have gotten a BFP this early, but I am psyched to be joining you! My EDD should be December 7th. I started testing on a whim late Saturday night (which I thought was completely stupid because my period isn't due until Thursday or Friday) and was floored to get a faint positive. I've tested twice today and every time it's getting darker. The last one I took midday today was dark enough to make me feel comfortable enough to intro here!
**TW miscarriage** I've had two losses in the past six months, so I have to get betas done asap and I'm not going to allow myself to get excited until that's done and I see a heartbeat at an ultrasound. But, of course, I can't help but be a little excited and hope this is our rainbow. I'm looking forward to calling my OB first thing tomorrow and scheduling the betas! end TW** This will be (hopefully) my second child. I have a DD who just turned 2 in February.
I've been active on the Bump for a long time now, first with J16 with my daughter (who ended up being late enough to be a Feb baby) and then on Babies on the Brain and, most recently, TTGP. (PS - If anyone from TTGP is lurking here, I miss you guys already and am *so incredibly grateful* to the amazing TTGP community that I got to be a small part of for a while. Knowing that TTGP exists and I can go back there, especially to the TTCAL board, if I have another loss, has made me feel more at peace and slightly less terrified. I love all of you and am rooting for you to join me in this BMB or another one soon thereafter.)
@katy0990 Congratulations!!! Since a few people have responded to your thread to introduce themselves, would you mind editing the title to say Introduce Yourself Here, so we can use this as our intro thread for Dec 18? It would be cool to keep all the intros in one place!
@celette482 Congrats! I am also wary of morning sickness with an active toddler! My 2 year old is basically a tornado, lol.
@maureenmce Omg yaaaaaaasssssssssss, I'm so happy I stalked here!
I will come here now to see all of your updates I'm so thrilled for you!!!!!!
People think we become mothers when we give birth but the truth is we become mothers the moment we start calling our babies to us in our thoughts, dreams and prayers. Some paths are short and some are so long that you can easily forget where you were headed.

@mowelt We may end up being due date buddies - I need to ask my OB if I'm going to be the 6th or the 7th (some confusion re: last period start date.) Anyway, congrats!
@BumpAdmin Can we please sticky this intro page too? Thank you!
Well hey there! Got two lines over the weekend; looks like we're getting a Squish right around December 5th. I've already got one Nugget at home; she's nearly 2. I bought the tests largely to tease my husband (25 Wondfos for $8.00 to mark the start of Insemination Season), and only took one on a whim because I was about to go to Trader Joe's to grab some wine and screw it, might as well make sure that's safe. Haven't yet called the doctor; I figure I'll at least wait until it's clear I've missed Shark Week. Assuming everything pans out, I'm pretty stoked to be here. I was pretty active on The Bump my last go around (A16 represent!) and some of the regulars from that board are still good friends; they made motherhood a much easier transition than it probably would have been otherwise. Never underestimate the power of a good online village
Hi, welcome and congrats! Psyched to see more people joining us - I bet we'll get a flood in the next few days! And yes, the power of an online village is so important! My little one just turned 2 in Feb - are you planning anything special for your DD's birthday?
I just got a bfp this morning. My due date according to my lmp is 12/7 . I'm 35 years old and this will be my second. I also have a 4 year old little girl. Nice to join you all.
***TW***
I'm actually really nervous to even post this intro so early but went for it. I got a bfp last thanksgiving day and miscarried over christmas. That was my second pregnancy. My hcg dropped to 0 near the end of January, got a period right away, and this is my 3rd cycle since.
Hey ladies! I got my bfp on a digital his morning so I’m cautiously excited. Based on timing my due date will be 12/3. We have a son and I’m still super close with my O16 bmb, so I’m excited to be here.
TW... We’ve been trying for almost 9 months and had a CP in January, then before our son we had a late term loss, so I’m super cautious. I’m also the type that can’t help but get my hopes up, though. So here I am! Hoping I can stay for the long run! Wishing you all a healthy and happy 9 months!
Welcome and congrats @GoyaBean913 and @westcoastfoodie ! And I'm sorry for both of your losses - we will definitely have a PGAL (Pregnant After a Loss) check in up and running soon - it's such a great place to talk about nerves and fears, and, of course, excitement too! I hope to see you both there when it gets started! (I think it's a Wednesday thread, so it should be up and running then.)
Hi ladies! I can't believe I'm back here again I got my BFP this morning and I believe I'm due December 5. I have a 13 month old baby girl and I was lucky enough to be a member March 2017 moms - they are an amazing group! I'm really excited to be here but I am slightly terrified of having 2 under 2! I look forward to getting to know you and congrats to all!
Good morning Congrats to all the mamas already here! I got my BPB yesterday - so excited! My EDD is Dec 7th. This will be my 3rd - I have an 8 y/o boy and 2 y/o girl. I'm still super close with my July 2015 bump group and can't wait to get to know all of you!
So thrilled to be introducing myself here. After 3 years TTC our son, who is now 15 months, I was beyond shocked and delighted to get a BFP after 3 months this time!
Current estimated due date is December 3, obviously haven't seen doctor yet.
@ALM2016 *waves* Me! I'm 37, will be 38 at delivery! We should definitely have an AMA check in, if there are enough of us and people are interested! Also, congrats!

What's Ama?
Eta: nevermind I think I got it lol. And I'd be interested for sure!
@maureenmce Ha, my husband and I didn't even plan a wedding for ourselves... definitely no birthday bashes over here. We might send treats to her daycare class, but that's about it.
@ALM2016 Not quite; I'll be 33 by the time Squish makes his or her debut. What an awesome surprise for it to happen so quickly for you this time; fingers crossed for an easy, uncomplicated pregnancy!
Hi @meganfranzen - as you were told you on one of the other threads you posted, it's against the rules to post a pregnancy test photo. It would be great if you could delete it. If you think your test is positive, you can just edit your post to remove the photo and instead introduce yourself with any info you feel like sharing (if you're a first time mom to be, or if you have other kids, where you live, what do you for work, entirely up to you.) You can scan back up through this thread for ideas of how to do it. Also, if your screen name is your complete first and last name you may want to change it - stranger danger and all.
*Edited to add, there is only one place on the Bump where you can post a pregnancy test - the First Trimester board has a thread called What Does A Positive Pregnancy Test Really Look Like? If you're still unsure you can post your test there.
Hi Ladies! Took a test yesterday morning and got a BFN but took one again in the afternoon and got my BFP with an FRER digi. EDD is Dec 9, four days after my birthday and my husbands, were so excited. We have a 10 month old son. I really didn't know that much about the community my first time around but I wish I did, I could've used all the support! Im glad to meet you all

Hi all! I am new to the Bump. I got a faint bfp on Sunday night, confirmed at the dr yesterday, and tests have been getting darker each day. I am having a hard time believing it -- though the recent waves of nausea have helped convince me. Due date should be around December 8 based on my lmp.
I just turned 31 and this is my first. It was actually an accident... we weren't planning to start trying until August. I thought I had my cycle worked out, but I guess I didn't. I'm shocked and so is my husband, especially because I have PCOS and always assumed I'd have a hard time conceiving. The timing is not perfect since I am in a PhD program and will not be finished with my classes until next May, but we will make it work. We also just got back from Mexico on March 25, so of course I am paranoid about Zika. I wore 25% DEET bug spray the whole time and didn't see a single mosquito, so hopefully all is fine. Now I'm just trying to enjoy and not worry too much. Wishing everyone a happy and healthy nine months!
