@adirat My acupuncturist is inconveniently out of town the two and a half weeks before transfer. I’m stressy, so I found another for treatment 2x/week in the interim. But for transfer day because my clinic is a good 40 miles away, I just asked the clinic if they recommend/work with anyone local, so I’m using the acupuncturist whom my IVF nurse used herself for her transfer day acu. Maybe your clinic could recommend a few providers with whom they’ve worked in the past?
Annoyingly, on site day of (before and after) acu will cost more than the nurse practitioner anesthesia for my egg retrieval did. But again, I’m stressy so will pony up for it.
Weekend plans: Tonight is a friend’s b-day karaoke, tomorrow acu, puppy class, college football game watch, and movie (we’re seeing “The Killing of a Sacred Deer” - we really liked “The Lobster” so look forward to seeing this one). Sunday I may drive all the way to my gym by my office for restorative yoga (again the stressy). I’m already tired and too old for all this activity!

@adirat I am in NY, too. For one glorious year I had a dishwasher. My old roommate still lives in that apartment and I'm jealous. If he ever moves out, DH and I are moving in.
@coco305 sorry to hear you're having nausea. Since when have you been on the patches and until when will you be on them?
@Bababatty Thanks dear. Your schedule seems packed this weekend. They seem interesting, hoping you'd have a fun time. I got my dishwasher 2 years ago, my DH insisted on getting one 4years back but I refused because I thought it's just a waste of electricity and I could wash dishes myself coz it's just the two of us, but now I'm so greatful for this item. I'm actually so guilty now because I haven't taken care of it so well.
@adirat Sorry to hear your acupuncturist won't be available on your FET date, is there anybody else who can susbs
@artemis618 aw, I'm sorry some stuff are getting you stressed out. I hope your activities this weekend would give you the R&R you deserve. Puppy class? Oooh I like the sound of that.
AFM, I'd work on one of my grad school papers, cook chicken gratin for a church fellowship lunch for Sunday and do housework as much as I can.
We are doing some housekeeping tomorrow and then having dinner with friends. A while ago, my family bought half a cow to share (!) and now our own little freezer is jam-packed with beef. Tomorrow (with friends) is flank steak, and next week we're going to try a slow cooker pot roast, which we've never done.
Most of the time, when I'm planning meals and shopping, we'll do vegetarian, fish or chicken. So the beef is totally out of character for us. We now have all these cuts of meat that we've never made (eg. blade roast). We are newbies! (DH is in heaven; I'm overwhelmed. What is the difference between inside and outside round? And how do you cook for best results? I've spent so much time researching, and I still get lost...)
I'm hoping for AF on Monday, but it might be a bit late, given the procedure.
**lurking** @adirat does your acu practice have others who can do your transfer day? It’s always nice to have your regular, but I’d take someone else if possible (I’m at YinOva right now, and they are open 7 days a week so someone is always hopefully able to help)
Sorry I haven't said much, the app wasn't letting me post, but only read. I had to login through the browser. I have been reading along though.
I just had another US yesterday and we are still on track for nov 3rd. They did up my estrogen to 2 patches though. This whole cycle has been weird. Maybe it is a good omen since the other two failed
Also, one of my previous month FET posts (sept i think) had a google sheets open for all to edit where we tracked everyone's fet date and beta date and results. Would you guys be interested? If so I could set it up tonight
@Crystal321 pls count me in. I like that spreadsheet idea. I wanna keep track of everybody's progress and mine too, just in case I forget. Btw, what's the dosage of your patch? Mine's 0.72mg each. I also have 2 now. Have to replace 2 new ones every other day.
@tinjp78 I've been on patches since oct 5, and I'm on them until at least my beta on 11/6. How do you feel with them? @Crystal321 count me in. @adirat Glad you found an alt to your acu. I haven't seen my accupuncturist in months, once I started stimming I had no time and kind of dropped the ball. @Irisheyes81 i don't plan on forgetting your bday anytime soon - it's my FET date.
Ladies....today was my last Lupron injection!!! Can I get a high-five or an amen!! PIO starts tonight. I downcycled down to two patches weekend plans: get hair dyed, bikini waxed, mani & pedi, hang out and go shopping with bestie. Have date night with DH. I told him last night that HOPEFULLY this is our last weekend of not being pregnant FX ✨✨✨✨
@crystal321 my patches were 1 patch every other day, then 2 patches every other day, then 4 patches every other day (three times of that) and now 2 patches every other day until I'm told to stop. I'm doing vivelle
Thanks all...I think I'm just going to go without acupuncture the day-of because I would be more stressed going to a different place. I get anxious easily so I really want to focus on just staying calm and relaxed.
@coco305 yay for last day of Lupron and last weekend not being KU! I also dyed my hair last week lol. Although I know you can do all these things while KU I have a long list of things to do before then!
@Crystal321 I’m in! I’m also scheduled for the day after you - 11/4. There are a few of us clustered around that time.
@funkykey Freezer full of beef sounds great but I am no expert with the cuts and how to cook it so don’t think I can help. We have a freezer full of meat also because my in-laws decided to go vegertarian recently and gave us all their meat. They buy everything in bulk so it will take us forever to get through it.
@Irisheyes81 hope you have an awesome birthday next week!
@tinjp78 I’m on vivelle-dot patches and the dose is only 0.1mg/day. I have been doing one every other day then I go up to 2 then 4 before I get my lining checked again.
@Crystal321 it says I need permission. Not sure if I'm doing something wrong. I'm on my iPad. Also the email I use for the bump is not the same as my gmail account so I'm not sure if that has something to do with it since it's a google document?
@funkykey Did you research any fun recipes for those less known cuts of beef? DH is veg so my already limited meat knowledge is now further limited because I never cook meat now.
I had my lining check today. It was a bit over 8, triple striped (I know there's a fancy word for that), and all quiet on the ovary front. I'm impressed at how well estrace suppresses follie growth. BUT the RE doing the u/s saw something he thought might be a polyp. It was lower down in the uterus, which worries me only because at my SHG last cycle, my RE saw something in the same area he thought might be a polyp but then decided was just a piece of lining. Waiting on a call now about my blood work results and what if anything they decide about the possible polyp. Probably I'll be back at the RE on Friday for a recheck.
@coco305 happy transfer week! I’m so sad to hear you had
nausea and headaches from the patches.
Did it get a lot worse as they increased the number? That’s such a
bummer! Yay for being done with Lupron!
I had my very first one last night. I hope you are feeling better and getting
relaxed and ready for the FET!
@bababatty how was cleaning this weekend? We moved from an
apartment this past March and didn’t have a dishwasher for years. I can totally empathize! We didn’t have a
garbage disposal either. It’s been so hard to get used to the simplicity of
appliances haha. Your lining looks GREAT! Let us know right away about the
possible polyp. There is always
something! Hopefully that something is nothing and just a piece of lining.
@adirat Thanks for the birthday wishes. That’s a bummer
about the acupuncturist! It’s good you’ve decided to just relax that
morning. I get valium for my
transfer. I think I’m one of the only
ones. They like people to be completely relaxed. I just hope I don’t pee on them. Haha
@artemis618 it’s amazing you do what it takes to take care
of yourself and your stress. How was restorative yoga? What is different with
that than regular yoga?
@tinjp78 You are in grad school on top of all of this?! Superwoman!
Hope you got a lot done this weekend.
@funkykey I hope AF came to visit and things are moving
forward! How are you learning how to cook all of those cuts of meat? It sounds
like a lot of fun and a little overwhelming.
Maybe share some good recipes as you try them. J
@crystal321 So glad you are on track! My estrogen patches go
from one, to two, to four! Maybe it’s just their new protocol? Thanks for doing
the google sheet!
AFM: Lupron started last night and so far has been fine. I really do think I was having hot flashes last night but honestly, it could also be in my head. I'm tired too but I also work at 7am. BC comes out Thursday and my first check is on November 1st. It's all happening so fast now!

@Irisheyes81 Happy birthday week!! I get valium too (10mg - I actually have one left from my second cycle with my previous RE when we were preparing for a fresh transfer in case I didn’t get very many embryos too). The peeing thing also occurred to me . I figure if any time, now is the time to try to relax - but I didn’t even make it to restorative yesterday because I just passed out! Restorative is not so much of a work out - all the poses are supported by props and meant to be held longer periods of time. I swear some classes we’ve only done like 6-8 poses - laying in each for like 10 minutes. It’s very relaxing. Hearing snoring is not unusual!
So I thought I was doing fine on the Estrace, but Thursday (my 10th day on it) headaches started in, and I’ve been REALLY tired. I didn’t expect tired till I started progesterone (as the only time I have been *TW* pregnant, I basically slept for 10 weekend straight ). Even when I was cycling and my estrogen was 5700-5900 I didn’t feel like this. Also, I feel heavier, squishier, and like I’m shedding more (that one may be in my head). Anyone else?

AFM: I had the craziest morning. On my way to work, something hit my car and my side view mirror broke - immediately i freaked because I thought oh no 7 years of bad luck, will this affect my transfer?? (I know you all get my crazy, right?) then I'm almost at work and it dawns on me that today I had to start my doxycycline and medrol and it was at home - so I had to turn around and go get them. I got to work at 10:45!! Thankfully my day has been chill. I'm thinking of binging on Brie and other fancy cheeses tonight before I can't do it anymore plus I deserve the treat!
@coco305 That is a crazy morning! I have a broken window in my house (it was that way when we moved it) and every time I think it's horrible luck. At least a black cat isn't walking around. I bet you were stressed out though going all the way home to get the meds. Good for you for eating brie. Maybe have some sushi too
artemis618 restorative sounds so nice! I feel like any time there is a meditative state, especially when you are with other people telling you how to do it, it's so relaxing! good for you getting some rest Sleep is so nice.
adirat It was hilarious getting one Valium pill in the order. I had no idea I got to have that.

@coco305 Crazy! What a relief you got everything squared away.
TMI question...I think I may be getting a yeast infection from all the extra estrogen. I used to get mild yeast infections quite a bit on birth control pills before TTC so I'm guessing it's from the Estrace. My question is, does this matter for FET?
@adirat I also just got a yeast infection and thought it might be from the estrace. I asked this morning and the RE said it was fine to treat with monistat, and let them know if it doesn't clear up.
Thanks for the positive thoughts, all! The nurse called and told me to continue the estrace and we're still on target for FET 11/2, so it seems the "polyp" or whatever is not a problem. I asked and my RE hadn't made any comments on it, so she said she'd follow up to confirm.
@dragonette505 I thought of you when the threat of polyp came up this morning! I'm still sad that yours has delayed you again. Boo.
Ladies- is anyone else having tech issues with the bump? I have been trying to log onto my computer to write longer responses to everyone and it doesnt have a spot for me to write responses? It’s working fine on my phone but it’s way too hard to tag and write responses on here!

Hi all. Joining in to this group. My FET will be on November 21st. A bit about me - 41, TTC through IVF for almost 2 yrs. we've had 2 retrievals, 3 frozen transfers, 1 fresh transfer, and 1 cancelled cycle due to high thyroid levels. All BFN, except for 1 ectopic earlier this year. I'm thankful that we stil have 5 PGS tested embryos waiting on ice for us - and hoping this next one is the charm! I've actually taken a leave of absence from work (have a pretty stressful job) during the prep phase for this cycle so I can focus on me - sleep a lot, cook a lot and eat healthy, exercise/yoga, and generally relax. If nothing else, at least it will put me in a better place physically and mentally. I'm on lupron at the moment, then will go on estrogen patches on 10/27. (I also start with 1, then 2, up to 4 right before the transfer). Look forward to getting to know everyone! This is a s**ty process overall, but if there is a silver lining, it is the community and support I've found through forums like this.
@natehk- welcome! Sounds like you have had quite the journey already! I hope it ends this month with us all
@bababattty- SO happy there is no polyp and you are on track for transfer! Delays are horrible!
@coco305- that sounds like a hectic morning! I hope the rest of your day was more smooth! I like your idea of binging on cheese. Living in WI, we love our cheese here too
@artemis618- I hear you on the estrogen side effects. I have been feeling rough since starting 4 patches and 2 pills vaginally. I always thought estrogen was supposed to make you feel good, but I can't remember feeling much worse than this during meds. My estrogen did go from 58 to 2400 in 4 days, so maybe that's why. Do you know what your level is at?
@irisheyes81- happy birthday week! Yay for getting started. Hope your second night of lupron goes good any plans for your bday?
AFM- sorry I haven't been on much, but with the tech issues on the bump and being on vacation from thurs-sun, this is my first chance to share our update. Our vacation in the Smokies was great, but I was really nauseous the whole time- from the higher estrogen and from my husband "spirited" driving on the mountain roads. We heard on Sunday that our Donor had 21 follicles between 10-19mm, so we were super happy about that! This morning I went in for monitoring, and my lining is only 7mm even thought my estrogen is 2400+. Normally we would just delay and let it get thicker, but we heard today donor is triggering tonight for ER on Wed! She has 11 follicles that are 14mm or more. They said there are 12s/13s that could maybe get there too. I am really hoping for at least 15 mature eggs, so hoping a few more get there. I know this sounds a little greedy, but with what we are paying, I am really hoping for 2 children if possible out of this cycle. My RE thinks 7mm or more is fine for transfer, so I will start progesterone on Wed, with transfer on Monday. Its going to be stressful since we won't know how many embryos we have until we go in on Monday. Sorry for the novel!!

@JamieH2000 SO exciting! Glad you had a nice vacation but sorry about feeling nauseous. Yeah I’d heard great things about estrogen too so was not expecting this. I have an appointment tomorrow morning so will inquire about my level then (didn’t ask last week, they just told me to keep taking the 2mg 3x/day).
Oh yes @coco305 great idea on the soft cheeses (and sushi whomever that was...mmm).
Out of curiosity, is intrauterine HCG still a thing? I’ll try to remember to ask *at my appointment tomorrow.

@JamieH2000 I hear you on estrogen being the worst. It's the worst I felt so far too. I do feel better now that I'm off lupron. And yay for all those follicles!! I'm so excited for you!
Hi @natehk welcome to this neck of the woods. I'm 41 as well.
@artemis yes the estrogen is awful! Idk who said it was awesome, but they lied!! And I gorged on soft cheeses. Sushi will be tomorrow.
AFM: scan tomorrow. Last week my estrogen was at 242, hoping it went up. I know 1000-4000 is ok for a fresh transfer. Wondering what is good for an FET. Also, I haven't really seen my RE at all....not since my egg retrieval...in August. I feel like I want to see him before I go for the transfer just to know what the eff is gonna happen, etc.
Some news from me - AF has started, and I've started taking estrogen. They've told me I can expect to transfer between Nov. 9 and Nov. 12 so.... the ball is rolling!!!
You ladies have inspired me, I am going to spend the next two weeks doing all sorts of stuff I can't do pregnant. Eating sushi and soft cheeses, drinking wine, maybe having my hair dyed. LOL.
@Crystal321 - I think I have filled out the sheet properly. Thank you so much!!
@Bababatty - Oh no!! I hope not a polyp!! Those f*ckers!
@dragonette505 - I liked having you around! I don't think you're lurking. And if you are, I hope you keep lurking away!
@Irisheyes81 - Lupron! Ugh! Hoping your Nov. 1 check goes smoothly! Also... they're not giving me valium, but I wish they were!
@artemis613 - I'm really hoping I don't have the same side effects on estrace! That's what I'm taking right now. I love restorative/yin yoga classes. Some days, the fewer poses, the better!
I've only taken one dose of estrace though, will probably take a couple before I notice anything.
@coco305 - ugh! I hate forgetting stuff like that!
@adirat - I had a yeast infection my first IUI. I was so paranoid, but my sister (who is a doctor) was like: "treat the infection! Always, always, always treat the infection!" It cleared up before the IUI thanks to some monistat, and sure enough, my RE said that was the right thing to do.
@JamieH2000 - I have been having so many technical issues! I've barely posted because of it! I am hoping you get enough viable embryos for 2 babies too - we have 4 embryos on ice, and it was a huge relief when we had more than 2/3. Hoping you get at least 4! Or more! I don't think you're being greedy at all! (Though I might if you'd said you'd wanted 6 kids outta this. Then I'd be like: "Hold your horses." LOL!)
@natehk - welcome! Hoping this cycle is the one for you! And boo to stressful jobs! This is far, far more important!
Re: November FET

@artemis618 - please let me know if Killing of a Sacred Deer is good! We also enjoyed The Lobster!
@tinjp78 - chicken gratin sounds delicious.
@adirat does your acu practice have others who can do your transfer day? It’s always nice to have your regular, but I’d take someone else if possible (I’m at YinOva right now, and they are open 7 days a week so someone is always hopefully able to help)
@Crystal321 count me in.
I downcycled down to two patches
weekend plans: get hair dyed, bikini waxed, mani & pedi, hang out and go shopping with bestie. Have date night with DH. I told him last night that HOPEFULLY this is our last weekend of not being pregnant FX ✨✨✨✨
@coco305 Yess last lupron injection! Woohoo!
@funkykey Mmm, freezer full of beef! Sign me up!
@funkykey A freezer full of beef is such a dream! It is going to be on my wish list from now on
@Crystal321 I’m in!
I have been doing one every other day then I go up to 2 then 4 before I get my lining checked again.
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1VyKrL3ijwRYdeVCFw3ZCNtds6GeubfYHAvtvi5eHw6Q/edit#gid=0
@coco305 Yay for no more Lupron!
@funkykey Did you research any fun recipes for those less known cuts of beef? DH is veg so my already limited meat knowledge is now further limited because I never cook meat now.
@IrishEyes81 Happy birthday week!
ETA spelling error
@coco305 happy transfer week! I’m so sad to hear you had nausea and headaches from the patches. Did it get a lot worse as they increased the number? That’s such a bummer! Yay for being done with Lupron! I had my very first one last night. I hope you are feeling better and getting relaxed and ready for the FET!
@bababatty how was cleaning this weekend? We moved from an apartment this past March and didn’t have a dishwasher for years. I can totally empathize! We didn’t have a garbage disposal either. It’s been so hard to get used to the simplicity of appliances haha. Your lining looks GREAT! Let us know right away about the possible polyp. There is always something! Hopefully that something is nothing and just a piece of lining.
@adirat Thanks for the birthday wishes. That’s a bummer about the acupuncturist! It’s good you’ve decided to just relax that morning. I get valium for my transfer. I think I’m one of the only ones. They like people to be completely relaxed. I just hope I don’t pee on them. Haha
@artemis618 it’s amazing you do what it takes to take care of yourself and your stress. How was restorative yoga? What is different with that than regular yoga?
@tinjp78 You are in grad school on top of all of this?! Superwoman! Hope you got a lot done this weekend.
@funkykey I hope AF came to visit and things are moving forward! How are you learning how to cook all of those cuts of meat? It sounds like a lot of fun and a little overwhelming. Maybe share some good recipes as you try them. J
@crystal321 So glad you are on track! My estrogen patches go from one, to two, to four! Maybe it’s just their new protocol? Thanks for doing the google sheet!
AFM: Lupron started last night and so far has been fine. I really do think I was having hot flashes last night but honestly, it could also be in my head. I'm tired too but I also work at 7am. BC comes out Thursday and my first check is on November 1st. It's all happening so fast now!
Yay for first check Nov 1 -- that's NEXT WEEK!!!

@Irisheyes81 peeing is my fear!! I get Valium too
( @adirat ask about it!) & I'm on the same protocol for the patches too. Hopefully you won't get my symptoms. Btw, what state are you in?
@Bababatty I hope it's not a polyp. Keep
us updated.
I'm thinking of binging on Brie and other fancy cheeses tonight before I can't do it anymore plus I deserve the treat!
artemis618 restorative sounds so nice! I feel like any time there is a meditative state, especially when you are with other people telling you how to do it, it's so relaxing! good for you getting some rest Sleep is so nice.
adirat It was hilarious getting one Valium pill in the order. I had no idea I got to have that.
TMI question...I think I may be getting a yeast infection from all the extra estrogen. I used to get mild yeast infections quite a bit on birth control pills before TTC so I'm guessing it's from the Estrace. My question is, does this matter for FET?
Thanks for the positive thoughts, all! The nurse called and told me to continue the estrace and we're still on target for FET 11/2, so it seems the "polyp" or whatever is not a problem. I asked and my RE hadn't made any comments on it, so she said she'd follow up to confirm.
@dragonette505 I thought of you when the threat of polyp came up this morning! I'm still sad that yours has delayed you again. Boo.

@Bababatty - Oh no!! I hope not a polyp!! Those f*ckers!
