@JamieH2000 After all of this, nobody is gonna tell us we are weak, not even ourselves! That doesn't mean we don't have our moments... its more like the strength comes in when we pick ourselves back up, make a plan and get back in the saddle doing what needs to be done and then finding the strength to encourage others... to me that's what makes us strong... I saw the ted talks!
@JamieH2000 Those are great ted talks! Awesome advice. There is nothing in the world worse than being at work and unable to avoid people. I still don't understand how the donor could be pregnant! There is such a lack of control in this process and to have to count on another woman... yuck. You are going to be an amazing mom. The donor was irresponsible and disrespectful! I still can't even believe that story. Mind blowing.

I had no idea how emotionally solid I was until this process. It has been one disappointment after another and I have just been able to move forward every time. I have to give the community here credit for a lot of that though. I would be lost (and grossly uninformed) without you.
I also love acupuncture. I go every other week right now and will add some sessions in closer to transfer.

@JamieH2000 what a brilliant idea!! I met a woman who is an unpaid lobbyist (at a cocktail party) Anyone can actually do it... It got me interested in the process in general... this is a good cause!
@JamieH2000 we are waiting to hear back from our lawyer on if the donor/ donor's attorney accepted the agreement. We were told on Monday we would likely hear in about a week.

@JamieH2000 I agree that is definitely something I would like to get involved in. For me the financial aspect is what causes the most stress. I just keep thinking that if this doesn't work we will be paying off this debt for months with nothing to show for it and we won't be able to afford to try this again for at least another year.
@safire3 Not to mention that we've basically spent our potential future babies college education money (in a way)... All of this money could have gone to creating opportunities for future kids. And yes, if it doesn't work, we get absolutely nothing but debt and heartache...
Sorry for vanishing! Nasty cold knocked me out this week and it was all I could do just to read along.
@dragonette505 OMG to your RE AND your nurse. You seriously have the patience of a saint. I can't believe "I think I told you but maybe the anesthesia got in the way" is somehow a viable excuse.
@adirat Hooray for your check and getting your possible FET date. I know that range is going to be hard for you, and it's ok to be hopeful and sad at the same time. It's like the end and a beginning all in one day; maybe it's auspicious, even? For now, lots of hugs and here's hoping the next few weeks fly by.
@JamieH2000 WTF to that whole situation. Who could blame you if you did have a full-on breakdown? That is messed up and traumatic. As always, @funkykey has totally nailed it with her analysis and I'm not really sure I could say it better than her. I hope no one gives you sh*t for being anxious because they could not possibly know what that must have felt like to you. Screw your old donor. Also I second all the comments about how strong you (and we all) are. We certainly have our weak moments (I currently refuse to engage with pregnant people when I can avoid it, which may not be the most emotionally mature way to handle the situation), but who doesn't? Sometimes you have to give into the grief before you can pull yourself back together.
AFM AF finally came today, so baseline on Sunday and then I guess we're starting estrogen. I don't really know how they time FET in a cycle when you're not suppressing O, but I'm guessing it'll be around October 31 or early November?
@coco305 I kno you're scared and it makes sense, this process really does it to you. You try to "prepare" as much as you can. When I started with my RE in Feb 2016 I asked, am I too fat that's why this isn't working. At the time I could've lost 10/20 and thanks to all these cycles and meds I first gained 20/30 lbs . I can't tell you how I have moaned on these boards about all the weight I've gained. Who gains all the baby weight first!! (TW) I did do my first FET in sept and got a BFP, now praying it sticks for good!!!! (TW) just try to relax I'm sure you've done and are doing everything for your pnut!!!
@dragonette505 I'm still confused with this polyp! If she can remove it during ER is there a reason she didn't remove it when she saw it during the last ER?? That makes no sense to me! And again if it's small and not. Y the cavaity why does it need to come out? I'm frustrated for you that they didn't take it out last time.

@hopeful_mom I think the type of ultrasound they were doing was not the proper way to see and remove a polyp. It requires different tools too, so I think if youre not expecting to see anything you are ready to remove something. Ive had the water ultrasound before and in the past that doc saw what she thought was a polyp, but couldn't remove it then... it needed to be scheduled later. At least she will now do it during my next retrieval so its all done at once
@bababatty Thanks friend. I'm trying to reconceptualize those dates in exactly that way -- a beginning and an end. I was talking to my friend @wabash15 (I know some of you know her) and she was telling me the same thing, how the baby I lost is the one who allowed us to get to this place, and they have such a connection. I hope I can get there emotionally and I really appreciate your kind words
@bababatty- yay for AF and getting started!! sounds like you are doing a natural cycle? Probably less than 3 weeks until transfer then!!
@laurad75- ok gotcha! i thought maybe you had reached out to get start on the calendar before the legal was in too much waiting in this process but hopefully not too much longer!!
@dragonette505- have you finally o'd and get to start priming soon?! so wish you were able to have a transfer with us! But I feel like its gonna be a good cycle for you!

Can I just say THIS.IS.THE.MOST.AMAZING.FET.BOARD?!?! there are so many many women on here that I know and love from TTGP or the IUI threads, and for the most of the rest of you I have been following your stories for so long. I am rooting so hard for all of you. I lurk this thread every day. So many hugs and so much love for this amazing group of women. You all inspire me.

@JamieH2000 I O'ed yesterday, and of course I've been playing with my calendar... My guess is I will start stimming around Oct 31 (my doc had me start stimming on CD7 last cycle). I'll start priming next week Its time to prime!!
Hello! I was on the October board but due to my progesterone failing to cooperate, I have been delayed and now my tentative date is Nov 3rd! Good luck everyone!
Did blood work this morning to make sure I ovulated. Despite starting my period a week early after my September IVF cycle it looks like ovulation is a week late. I just got a call and my LH is elevated so I'm either ovulating now or just about too (cd 22 today).
I start Lupron on the 17th and since my progesterone is low I also have to do 10 days of Prometrium starting on the 17th as well.
The last IVF and Lupron trigger made everything all wonky

@Bababatty This is a little fuzzy to me since it’s my first time through this part, but one of my nurses told me that the Estrace I’m taking is supposed to suppress ovulation? She said if they start seeing an uncooperative follie they’d give me an antagonist for it. Sounds like your timing should be around quite a few of ours.
All this IF stuff has also made me greatly appreciate DH. I didn’t meet him till I was 37, but I’m glad I waited for him (even if maybe We wouldn’t be going through this if we were younger). Women who go though this journey single simply amaze me.
Question: I’ve been taking all these supplements, mostly to try to improve egg quality most of the year - PNVs, ubiquinol, vit C, D, E, Fish oil, low dose aspirin, NAC, inositol when I remember or feel guilty about eating sugar... We were convinced we’d be cycling again, and are sort of afraid to jinx ourselves (as logical as that is ). What do you all keep taking at this point?

@artemis618 All I'm taking now is prenatal vitamin and vitamin D. I stopped taking the CoQ10, vitamin C, zinc, etc., after my egg retrieval. My husband also stopped taking his vitamins because he hates them so he's especially thrilled the ER is over haha.
I have another question for you ladies -- are you avoiding alcohol in the run-up to FET? I forgot to ask my RE if I can drink.
@adirat All the drinking! lol My doctors have said its fine up until transfer as long as the meds you're on aren't contraindicated. I'm on Metformin so no drinking for me (I kinda miss it)...

Question about baby aspirin and FET for @sunnyrain2 and others -- my RE ordered me 81mg baby aspirin to start along with medrol at transfer. The medrol is because of possible endo, but I don't have a history of clotting issues or anything, so why the aspirin? I am going to ask my RE about this also but I'd be interested to hear from you all if this is standard or only indicated for specific conditions?
@adirat For me it's because I'm homo for MTHFR and have had two unexplained losses. I know some RE's feel it can't hurt since it's a small dose so they recommend it for everyone.

Can I vent in here? I don't want to do it at the Oct FET board coz I don't want our recently PUPO ladies there to get bummed out because of my post. I slept last night feeling some sharp intermittent pain on my uterus area, I didn't mind it since I was too tired but I woke up this morning with the same pain and right now, it is still there. This pain added to my crappy time at the hospital today. Our dr had set this day to know my condition and decide the status of my FET. My DH accompanied me. First off, there were so many patients today, it took us forever to see our dr. It seemed like everybody was moving in slo mo. I had my u/s and dr said she is seeing really big follicles and she thinks that I didn't ovulate last time so AF is a no show. During our consultation time (DH present) dr was in a rush to speak, she was wearing her surgery day scrub uniform so she probably has some operations lined up for the day and us outpatients are fillers in her schedule. She told me that 1) I probably didn't ovulate last cycle so no AF 2) she will prescribe a medicine to reset my body in prep for my FET. 3) my FET sched is cancelled (should've been 10/31)
me at that time
Dr didn't mention even once that there was a possibility that I was pregnant. And with the mention of that pills she was gonna prescribe, I thought what would happen to my future baby if ever he is really there? I was speechless and when her phone rang, DH and I just saw it as a cue that our time was up. We proceeded to the nurses' station to wait for our bill and prescription. While waiting, I started to secretly cry, didn't show my DH. I was so frustrated and sad. But a little while later, a nurse came to us and said Dr ordered to have some blood work done on me. As we walked back to the ob/gyn dept my face was red and I was holding back my tears really hard coz the other people waiting could see me. I told my husband that I'm relieved to have those blood tests. With a plain face he just said, our bill today will be $100. And I was like
Of course I didn't voice this out coz I didn't wanna make a scene there. Anyway, the bill turned out to be just $10, today's consultation and blood work were covered by the insurance, DH and I didn't know why.
Dr called in the evening and told us that she is expecting I'd ovulate soon and get my AF coz she saw high estrogen and LH levels from my blood work. She saw nothing from my HCG. We'll call her at 10/18 to set an appt with her to prescribe my reset meds.
Im not blaming dr and DH for anything. They are really important to me, what I'm upset abt is IF itself. Solving crises is not my forte, I mainly depended on my parents to do that for me. That's why I'm here at this forum to know and learn how you guys are doing it.
@tinjp78 I am so glad they ran that blood work!! You shouldn't have to take something and they haven't even checked to see if you are pg! Also now it looks like you won't need it anyway! Sometimes I think they see us as ivf robots and they just wanna crank us through the system. Sending hugs because one thing is for sure.... even the best of husbands and doctors aren't the ones who are turning their bodies into a science project (well some husbands totally are!) but it can feel very lonely in somebody moments. I'm sending you the biggest hugs and proud that you still have enough sense of humor to post up killer gifs!!!
Guys, I am so exhausted, so I'm sorry if my participation is drifting right now, but I am reading and supporting everyone so hard!!!
@JamieH2000 I was thinking about you this morning and what you went through... we have a saying too, "Man's rejection is God's protection." so yes - absolutely as much as these trials are making you stronger - ...maybe there's even another reason, one you may never get to fully know or understand? I just can't help thinking that all these roadblocks are just the universe's crazy way of steering us to our babies, kwim? Like as great as the first donor seemed at the time, she obviously wasn't meant to be (otherwise it would have), and perhaps this donor is the one who always was written in the stars for you. ❤ Fx more will be revealed in due time, and when you are finally holding your baby, you will know that you wouldn't trade her for the world, and it couldn't have happened any other way. ;)
And I'm sorry this feels like it's all coming out so clumbsily, and sounded so simple and perfect in my head this morning, lol but now tonight apparently I'm having trouble wording.
I do have a small piece of happy news, tho! So apparently we get a floating holiday due to Veteran's Day falling on a Saturday. ...Which means I can actually take the 17th off for my FET afterall!!!!!! Yay! Quite possibly the best part of my day, today
@BusinessWife awww sorry you're battling fatigue! Try to carve out some r&r ahead of transfer as it can help with a balanced immune system for implantation! But soooo happy you can get that extra time after transfer!!
@tinjp78 So sorry for all the confusin and frustration today. Sometimes these docs are just cruising on autopilot. I'm glad they did your blood work. Did they give you a date for transfer if you do ovulate soon? Hopefully it shouldn't get pushed back too far. Hugs to you!
@artemis618 I also stopped my Coq10 so I'm just taking prenatals, vitamin D and baby aspirin. @adirat I would ask your RE about the aspirin. I pretty much put myself in it because I have a condition that can predispose me to clotting. I told my RE about it and he didn't say to stop so I'm continuing it.
@BusinessWife I hope you are off for the weekend and can get some good rest. Sometimes when work is crazy I can't get on here for days or only late at night like now.
@wabash15 you are such a classy lady and we love you so much!!
@dragonette505 Thanks! They were going to give me the half day (it's in the afternoon) but I think this is nicer because I can spend my morning relaxing, maybe I can convince DH to go on a romantic trail walk with me, stop at Rita's etc, just make a nice couple's day out of it would be a dream... (I realise now I'm thinking Rita's like it's still summer in November, but ykwim)
@safire3. Thank you so much! Unfortunately we are open Saturday so now that I'm ft, that's me every time from 815-130. But the half day is not so bad. ***tw*** death

One of my dear friends / bridesmaid from our wedding lost her partner last week rather suddenly, due to illness. He was just 53. So sad. I can't be at the 10AM funeral due to work, but I helped her plan the music for the service and DH will hopefully be there. I also plan to meet her later on for dinner and chill Saturday evening.
Then Sunday is supposed to be the last hot day! So maybe I can convince DH to go to a BBQ at the local firehall. Busy busy... Maybe also sleeping in tho on Sunday lol bc let's be real.
What does everyone else have planned for the weekend?
@BusinessWife I can't imagine so sorry for your friend.
AFM and my weekend plans, this weekend is my husband's birthday. I started weight watchers last week hoping to lose 15 lbs or so before the holidays (I lost 3 so far!), so it will be a struggle for me vs cake
@BusinessWife How awful for your friend. I'll be thinking of her today.
@safire3 Thanks, that's helpful to know. Would you be willing to share the condition? I guess I don't know enough about this to know if I should be paying attention to having clotting issues? I tend to bruise fairly easily but I never thought much of it (I may also just be very clumsy?).
No big weekend plans here, except going to meet our friend's new black lab puppy! Puppy time for me!
@BusinessWife how awful for your friend. That’s terrible.
Hope everyone one is having a nice weekend.
I was was wondering about the CoQ10. What was the point of it in the first place? They told me baby aspirin also. Maybe it’s standard for some clinics?

FET November 2017 Transferred one 6 day blast (a little GIRL) BFP EDD 8/4/18
@adirat I have sickle cell anemia. It's not really something you have without knowing. If you bruise easily then I would think you are more likely to have a mild bleeding disorder vs a clotting (hypercoagulation) disorder and clotting disorders are the ones associated with RPL. Either way maybe you can ask your RE about testing for both.
@BusinessWife that is so terrible what your friend is going through. I just can't imagine, and still so young too . I work this weekend as well unfortunately. It's supposed to be once a month but I've been doing extra this month to get as many weekends as possible off around the transfer. Apart form that DH and I may catch a movie or something but nothing special planned.
@Irisheyes81 I think the CoQ10 was to improve egg quality so that's why I stopped it after retrieval. Also once I start estrogen next week I will probably start red raspberry tea and pomegranate since I think that's supposed to help with lining?
Thanks @safire3! Is that the same as raspberry leaf tea or would any raspberry tea work? I’m debating the old wives tales about pineapple, pumpkin seeds, avocado etc. I went crazy with diet etc. for my retrieval and still wonder if it was all worth it.
@tinjp78 what a frustrating story! This is such an unknown and unnatural process. I know I haven’t “met” you but I thought of you as I cried in the waiting room trying to get my blood drawn for my thyroid and there was a mixup. It’s hard not to immediatly wonder why a nice glass of wine and a little romance wasn’t enough to have a baby like the rest of the fertile bitc women. I’m thankful you vented here!

@Irisheyes81 yes I meant rasberry leaf tea. I still have some from when we were trying on out own before IVF. I may do the pineapple after the transfer as well. You are right that most of this stuff probably does nothing except maybe making us feel like we are giving it our all. In this process there is so much out of our control that it feels good to think that we are doing something that may help.
Re: November FET
I saw the ted talks!
I also love acupuncture. I go every other week right now and will add some sessions in closer to transfer.

@Bababatty good luck at ur baseline!!
@JamieH2000 wow those talks!!!

IVF#3 November 2016 (4 ER, 3 F, 3DT)-BFP with TWINS // MC both at almost 10wks
IVF#4 March 2017 //EPP (10 ER (1 wonky so 9 ER) 7F, 3B (5AB, (2)5BB) PGS tested- ALL abnormal
IVF#5 April 2017 // EPP (7 ER, 7F yes! 6B) 2/5 day 4/6 day - 2 PGS normal! yes!!
IVF#6 May 2017 // Antagonist didn't have time for Estrogen Priming...(4 ER, 3 F, 3B) (5AB, (2) 5BB) 2 PGS normal, yes!!
IVF#7 June 2017 // EPP praying this is it and then on to an FET!
Ah! I mean, I know you're right, but very sobering to see it there in black and white. LOL.
Please work, please work, please work, please work....

2) she will prescribe a medicine to reset my body in prep for my FET.
Im sorry for this long post. Thanks for reading.

@artemis618 I also stopped my Coq10 so I'm just taking prenatals, vitamin D and baby aspirin. @adirat I would ask your RE about the aspirin. I pretty much put myself in it because I have a condition that can predispose me to clotting. I told my RE about it and he didn't say to stop so I'm continuing it.
@BusinessWife I hope you are off for the weekend and can get some good rest. Sometimes when work is crazy I can't get on here for days or only late at night like now.
@wabash15 you are such a classy lady and we love you so much!!

AFM and my weekend plans, this weekend is my husband's birthday. I started weight watchers last week hoping to lose 15 lbs or so before the holidays (I lost 3 so far!), so it will be a struggle for me vs cake
@BusinessWife How awful for your friend. I'll be thinking of her today.
@safire3 Thanks, that's helpful to know. Would you be willing to share the condition? I guess I don't know enough about this to know if I should be paying attention to having clotting issues? I tend to bruise fairly easily but I never thought much of it (I may also just be very clumsy?).
