@irisheyes81 I used it during a past stim cycle but have been trying to use the Circle & Bloom program since I paid for it . If nothing else, it puts me to sleep.
@safire3 I feel like the nausea stepped up today. I don’t quite feel like throwing up, but I don’t feel like eating certain things (the lunch I brought today) and so tired - and not having much to do at work isn’t helping. Maybe starting progesterone will help (knock me out if nothing else). Or maybe it’s because we’re a week out

Well ladies.. its been a rough day, fulls of ups and downs. At my U/S this morning, the lining was 7.3mm, but the tech saw fluid in my uterus. She said that was common and usually goes away. They would likely have me come in or check again on transfer day. Then my RE herself calls at 12pm and says that she isn't liking the fluid, along with the less than optimal lining. She reco'd that we freeze the embryos and try a stimulated FET next month. Queue: Crying (after I got off the phone) and feeling like life is so unfair and my body hates me and going home from work to cry it out and work on the couch 3pm: IVF lab calls and we had 22 mature and 18 fertilized! 4pm: nurse calls with the plan. Start 10 days of progesterone pills, then get AF, and then start stim meds (follistim) since my lining was excellent during my fresh cycle. We will trigger, and then transfer on day 5. Based on my math, thats right after Thanksgiving.
So overall- a 4 to 5 week delay, but I will hopefully still be transfering in Nov with you lovely ladies... hopefully you will all stick around with me once you get your BFPs

@JamieH2000 Quite a roller coaster indeed! 18 fertilized is great though (I got 4 normals from my 18 fertilized at almost 40, so I would hope a young spring chicken donor may get you quite a few more good ones). SO sorry for the delay, but yay for a plan and better to have optimal conditions in the long run. Hang in there!

@Jamieh2000 what a ride! So glad you got 18 fertilized!!! It's is definitely a bummer waiting, but honestly, I have been enjoying some of the calm before the storm, now that I'm actually doing it ((((hugs))))
@Irisheyes81 I have been taking just 1/4 of a 5mg melatonin for a WHILE now. I started for helping me sleep, but when I found out it's good for egg quality, I just kept it up! The only times I didn't take it were the night before surgery/retrieval so it didn't mix with all the anesthesia. But otherwise I don't see the harm!
Oh my gosh @jamieh2000 what a day for you! 18 fertilized is so great -- I hope they're all growing steadily and you have tons to freeze. Sorry to hear you won't be able to do a fresh transfer...did they have any explanation for the fluid?
@jamieh2000 what a roller coaster indeed! I'm so glad for the 18 fertilized - such good numbers! I'm glad you have a plan in place. I know how much it sucks though to be planning for something and then have to wait. This whole process seems like a waiting game sometimes.
@artemis618 I fall asleep during the circle and bloom meditations too. Every time. I figure maybe that's a good thing:)
@Bababatty how did your book club go? Hope you enjoyed the wine and cheese and the annoying KU woman wasn't too bad.
Curious about if any of you are doing special diets or anything during the time before your transfer. I never did before, but figure it can't hurt this time. At the worst, I'll be a bit healthier. I'm trying to go off sugar and mostly gluten free (not 100% but limited). Stopped caffeine too.
@coco305 GL on the transfer. Sending you lots of sticky vibes.
@JamieH2000 I'm sorry to hear what you had to go through today. Congrats on the 18 fertilized!!! Wow what a number!
AFM, I'm on my way home from the hospital, I had my u/s, got my new calendar and I'm all set for Nov. 6 FET. I'm having mixed emotions now because I'm SUPER EXCITED (my first FET) and at the same time so much doubt is beginning to consume me by the minute. You see, I've got only one frozen embie to transfer and its quality isn't that good- it's a 4-cell embie with slight fragmentation. I don't know how to manage my emotions now, I'm getting quite nauseous with this anxiety. But, I'll try to pick myself up and will try to master this fear. (Deep breaths)
I won't be doing much special really @natehk But I do have a fresh supply of red raspberry leaf tea in the way for pre-transfer, plus lots of Pom juice on hand, and will get some fresh pomegranates too, since we like them. :) then closer to transfer I will get a couple pineapples to snack on, core and all probably to start around when we add PIO to 5 or 6 days post-transfer. And try to cut back on coffee/replace with more tea, only bc I drink a lot of it! But I won't worry about cutting caffeine completely bc I already know the headaches I get can be pretty debilitating. But hoping at least to start tapering in preparation for hopefully the rest of pregnancy where I won't be able to keep drinking as much coffee as usual for me. That plus just eat a healthy balanced diet, not too much Halloween candy etc. I will try to transition to more Bradley method once we have a bfp/maybe during tee if it keeps my mind occupied ;) we also have a couple projects around the house here to help take my mind off the wait...
@tinjp78. So excited for you!!! 11/6 is so close. Sometimes, I think all we can do is close our eyes tight, and throw the proverbial penny in the well. (((Hugs))) I will be wishing and hoping so hard for one sticky little miracle to happen!
@JamieH2000 first of all: AMAZING fert report!!! Second: I HATE delays (as you all know)!!! So sorry the delay monster caught you too this cycle. I don’t blame you for crying and feeling angry at your body. But that body of yours is going to carry those awesome embies for you very soon! Sending hugs
@dragonette505- thanks chica, I know you get delays and waiting more than anyone! I can't believe I have been waiting 9 months since our last transfer. I just NEED to be done with this journey soon for my mental sanity... plus just dreading another thanksgiving, and maybe christmas, not being pregant. We are also doing a saline sono next week since its been 10 months, and just terrified they will find something else wrong since it seems like so many do get polyps or fibroids...
@tinjp78- thanks! I am excited for your transfer! I know the anxiety is hard! Try to stay positive. maybe do something stress reducing like a pedicure or massage a few days before?
@safire3- thank you! I should know this, but when do they start thawing your embryos to start growing before transfer? soo excited for you! I feel like if you have a girl, you need to have the middle name Irma or something!
@natehk- I have been doing (kinda) a similar diet to you... trying to eat less gluten, carbs, sugar, because they can cause inflammation. I am always super motivated for the few weeks before transfer, and then i get delayed..and lose motivation!
@adirat- no explanation for the fluid really.. the tech made it sound like its common from being on estrogen, and it usually goes away. but it seems my RE thought it was a bigger deal, and with the thinner lining, thought it was just best to cancel and try a stimulated FET since my lining was perfect on my last fresh cycle. I do this my body didn't like all the synthetic estrogen, but also not looking forward to a stimulated FET since its pretty much a fresh IVF, but no retrieval. So I will have to do stims, monitoring, trigger, etc. So more stress, appts, money, etc...
@businesswife- thanks! I actually was enjoying my break and calm before the storm this summer... but now I am just ready to get this show on the road! Winter is just a hard time for me since the sun/summer is really what pick me up when i am down. Hopefully we won't have any more delays, and the next few weeks will fly by. when is your first lining check?!
@artemis- Thanks! I feel fortunate with 18 for sure. Last cycle, the donor had 16 fertilized, 10 blasts, and 7 PGS normal. So hoping we don't have any unknown sperm issues and we can get at least 10 too! We aren't doing PGS, but sometimes I wonder if we should if we end up with that many... but I am just confused on PGS after that article about mosaics.. and my RE doesn't reco it for donor since 70% normal is good and you will usually have success within 1 or 2 transfers. hard to know what to do though!

@JamieH2000 Wow that is so frustrating! I figured for a stimulated cycle they would just give you letrozole or something for ovulation, not ivf stims. Sorry to hear it's another delay And I related so hard to what you said about Thanksgiving and Christmas. Here's hoping none of us have to face that and we're all pregnant for the holidays
@JamieH2000 guuurl... I feel you... maybe its this darn estrogen. My doc told me today I cant start stims today since I'm too suppressed (I cant even!!) and have to go back Tuesday to see if I can start then... I d*mn near wanted to choke someone... lol Its so frustrating. And yes.... I had really hoped to be pg or at least 2ww for ONE of these durn holidays for once in my life... Well.... that said, I'm with you with this waiting, so you aren't alone lady! Plus you have lots to look forward to in the next couple of days with the embryo reports!! Who knows...maybe when they look again the fluid will have resolved itself
@adirat- right?! Luckily I still have a bunch of follistim left (that I was hoping to sell eventually) or I would be mad! I'm not a great responder, so i am thinking I will have to be on pretty high doses to get enough follies to grow to make my estrogen rise alot and give me a happy lining. I am dreading the holidays honestly.. and we have to have my husbands family over mid dec and one of his sisters is pregnant with her third (and can't afford any of them- but thats a long story) and another one may be pregnant too. So if we do get to transfer end of Nov, my beta will be one week before that, so it BETTER be positive! Last year I skipped family christmas and went to FL.. never thought i would have to consider that again this year...
@dragonette505- NO WAY! even a week delay is horrible when you have been waiting SO long! Are they hoping to see more AFC on tuesday? or how do they know you are too suppressed? Maybe they should be giving you less estrogen since this happened last time too right? I am looking forward to hopefully good news with the embryo reports.. that will definitely lift my spirits. I kind of wish we could check again on the fluid, but we made the call yesterday to cancel... so now I wouldn't be ready anyways since they had me stop all meds except for doing 2 progesterone pills and 2 estrace per day for 10 more days so I can get a period after that.

@JamieH2000 what a crazy rollercoaster of a day! I feel like your doctor is really taking care of you and giving you the best chance. Delays are awful and so frustrating but it sounds like they want you to have a perfect lining and they know you can. Sorry about the rough day but 18 is absolutly amazing.

All of you ladies give the best advice! Thank you! I got stuck at work last night finishing a report, so I didn't even make it to Book Club. I'm actually quite sad to miss out on the glass of wine I was definitely going to have. I'm glad I'm not the only one who's had to avoid people or stop doing things they like just to save their sanity.
Lining check today and all looks good (8.8, triple striped, ovaries quiet). Waiting on the call from the nurse once they get my blood work results, but I expect to start the progesterone tomorrow. Less than a week to FET!
@JamieH2000 Wow, that was quite a rollercoaster yesterday! I am SO happy with your donor's retrieval and fert results! When you talk about her previous results, does that mean she's donated previously to someone else? I'm not really sure how this all works. I'm so sorry you're delayed, though. It really is always something. Lots of underlying anxiety with appointments because you never know what they're going to find or if it's going to set you back. On the plus side, you can drink some wine at Thanksgiving? Seriously, though, delays suck and they hurt a lot. Hugs to you! I am glad you are still transferring in Nov., even if it's later in the month. This is such a great board, I'm definitely sticking it out until the end so we can all move on to our BMBs together. :-D
@adirat Did you find out what hypercoag means? I'm assuming it's not going to set you back?
@tinjp78 HOORAY! You're back in the game! I am SO excited for you. I know you're stressed about the 1 embie, but even less than ideal quality embies can make perfectly good babies. I've got lots of hope for you.
@BusinessWife I think you just solved the dilemma that I was also having (like @Artemis618 I think) about when to start the pineapple. Must remember to get some pineapple tomorrow... Avoiding the Halloween candy is going to be tough. My colleague brings in her kids' rejects and I'm usually far too happy to help make it disappear.
@dragonette505 Whhhhhyyyy?? Another delay? That's so frustrating! Are they having you adjust your estrogen to fix the suppression?
@JamieH2000 that sucks that you have to do stims and everything. I’ve been complaining about having to take all these meds and suffer all these side effects for something that my body does by itself every month anyway. If I had to do stims again I would be so mad but I gues we have to do what we have to do. As long as it works I’m sure we won’t care after.
So my embryos should be thawed on Monday to let them grow until transfer. I am super nervous since I only have 5. Lol at naming my child Irma. I don’t think I want to constantly remember the stress of Irma though. When we did our retrieval 2 days before the storm hit, there was a couple there for FET and they had more people scheduled the next morning. I remember telling DH I wonder if any of them will name their kid Irma lol.
@tinjp78 I’m glad in the end your transfer didn’t get pushed back much. 11/6 is around the corner. I feel the same way, excitement one minute and hopelessness the next. Really hoping your one fighter keeps fighting!
@dragonette505 ugh so sorry you hit another delay. Too suppressed? I didn’t even know that was a thing! And I’m with you guys on wanting to be KU (or at last close) for a holiday for once. Hopefully we all make it for Christmas. We are rooting for you!
@natehk Regarding diet, I go back and forth between trying to behave (sugar is my big problem) and last hurrah (sushi dinner date tonight!) mentality. I keep saying I’ll lay off of the sugar when I start progesterone (tomorrow), so we’ll see if it happens. If this takes (knock on wood), gestational diabetes risk will be a real thing at my age so I need to get some discipline. I just had what will probably be my last cup of mostly decaf in a while. I listened to both a Mindful IVF and a Circle & Bloom meditation last night and still couldn’t fall asleep. *sigh*
@tinjp78 I wish I knew what to tell you to better manage the anxiety (this will by my first transfer too, having done our first IVF cycle last December (OCP)/stimmed January/retrieval Feb - so this feels like a long time coming). I am going to acupuncture 2x/week and doing the day of acu, trying the meditations, even using this cheesy emwave biofeedback thing when I remember, getting to yoga class...but it’s hard. I have high hopes for the Valium! But the TWW anxiety will be a whole ‘nother thing. Try to be positive and have faith!
@dragonette505 Ugh, So sorry about the delay. Hopefully you won’t have to do this again, but is natural start an option for you?
@JamieH2000 We mostly did PGS b/c of our *TW* loss and my age. Not that anyone “has time” for losses, but we felt like we kind of had to make what embryos we were going to (at least own egg) now or never. Your donor sounds great and I look forward to hearing your report updates! That does sound sort of tempting to escape somewhere for the holidays though...hmm...

@natehk I actually started weight watchers again to try and drop those last stubborn 10 lbs to finally get back to my goal weight... I figured it can't hurt, I have lost 7.5 lbs since oct 9, so I am pretty proud! I am planning on pom juice and pineapple before transfer.
This is my 3rd transfer so I am reaching at this point. We only have one embryo left after this, and tbh I am not sure if we are going to do IVF again after this. I really just can't afford pgs right now.
@funkykey Ah, I got it all mixed up in my head. I think it was @Irisheyes81 who mentioned the fertility meditation. Sorry for the confusion!
I laughed when I saw your post. Sometimes I take everything on here so seriously, and try to respond so earnestly... When I realize that I've totally misread a situation and responded with some GIANT paragraph, I'm always like: "Wow, I really need to lighten up!" LOL! I will say that is one downside of just text conversation - it can be so hard to read tone!
@JamieH2000 - I am so so pleased that you have so many mature, fertilized embryos! Keeping FX that they all keep progressing nicely and you get a nice group to blast!
But man, that would be a roller coaster day. Ugh. The delays are like torture. I totally understand the wanting this to be over, wanting to move on from this journey. Even when you're doing your best to tolerate it, sometimes I catch myself thinking: "Wow, I can't believe I'm in the exact same spot and it's 6 months later." And I think about how endless it seems. The other day I got a notification from TB that I'd been on here for a year. Not really that fun, you know?
Keeping FX that your saline sono is smooth and you can move forward next cycle.
@tinjp78 - excited for your FET! I'd be nervous too - having just the one embryo would be tough - but then I think, I'm sure that has worked for lots and lots of women, maybe it will work for you too! Don't lose hope! It can be so so hard to stay hopeful during this!
@dragonette505 - another delay?! Oh no!!! "Too suppressed"? Ugh! I would have cried!
@natehk - I'm not doing anything special for diet. Just trying to watch my portion control a little more and (hopefully) lose some of the weight I've gained this past few months!
@Crystal321 - good for you! Congrats on the 7.5lbs! That is HARD!
I have been watching what I eat really closely this last 2 weeks, and I've lost 2 pounds; so, basically, nothing. LOL. I was so excited the other day because I weighed myself first thing in the morning and thought I'd lost a whole 10lbs; later I weighed myself again and realized that it was actually only 2 and I must have mis-read the middle digit on the scale because I weighed myself in the dark and without my glasses.
DH was like: "I thought that seemed like a lot of weight to lose over a weekend." Yep.
Finally got our PGD results...Two of our five embryos are chromosomally normal and free of fragile x! One boy and one girl. Crying tears of relief over here
@irisheyes81- Thanks! I do know my RE wants the best for me, and I know its safer to wait, I'm just pissed at the universe that they send me ANOTHER issue! You would think that crappy eggs would be enough already
@bababatty- Wow, great lining! I want that next month what kind of progesterone are you doing? I was doing both crinone and PIO, but not sure what the next protocol looks like for me. Yes, my donor has previously donated 3 times actually. once at my clinic and twice at other clincs. The cycle at my clinic was the best one, they claim its the REs and their lab... so I'm hoping thats true. So far, my cycle is the highest # of eggs and fertilized, so hopefully mine will also be the most blasts too we will see! Thanks for sticking it out to the end of the month with me!
@safire3- Yes not looking forward to more shots but I actually felt way better on stims than I felt on the estrogen for the FET, so maybe it will be better! Just hoping I respond ok since my ovaries were so suppressed by lupron this cycle and I have DOR... I have gotten decent linings back in the IUI days when I only have a few follicles, so hopefully my lining will be ok if only a few grow. I know next week will be stressful for you as you get the daily updates! Will they check day 2 and day 3? Is a day 3 transfer an option if all them doing keep growing (though i really pray they all do!)?
@artemis618- that makes total sense about PGS.. I am sure I will kick myself if I end up having a m/c with a chromosome issue. Its just so hard to know what to do and everything costs so much money! I am so excited for your transfer- i know you have been waiting for this for a long time as well! Its cases like yours where I think, maybe I should have tried once more with my own eggs! Truly an amazing result for you!
@crystal321- I really hope the third time is the charm! I know its hard to be hopeful after multiple failures, but then i do see so many ladies on here have it work on the 3rd, 4th, 5th try!
@funkykey- yes, why does the bump want to celebrate our anniversaries?! I definitely don't want to celebrate that I do my best to still enjoy life, but I must be honest and say each month is getting harder. I don't want to look back at these years and just remember the sadness, so we are doing our best to take trips and try to have a little fun. But its really really hard. LOL are your DH's comment.. sounds like mine! But I think 2 lbs is great, especially since its easy to gain right now from stress eating or enjoying drinks for the "last" time. I have found that eating better
AFM- somehow I missed my clinic's call! It was ringing Unknown for like 1 second and then ended and then I got a VM. But I guess it doesn't matter really if I spoke to them.. all 18 are still dividing (though its only day 2), so that is great news!! They won't call again until Monday or Tues with the frozen report. Excited but anxious.. with my last cycle I had all 6 that fertilized looking great on day 2, but then by day 5 only 2 were left and they were behind. I hear these things about sperm kicking in on day 3, and worry that we have unknown sperm issues. So I am totally hoping that my eggs truly are just shit and that our sperm is just fine

Hi Everyone, Sorry I've been MIA. the site wasn't letting me on through my phone. Looks like I've missed a ton. @JamieH2000 two hugs for you, 1 for all those great fertilized eggs and 1 for the delay. I'm so sorry. It just plain sucks. I was having a minor meltdown yesterday thinking of how frustrated I am that my body can not function how it's supposed to. So I get where you are coming from, just know you are not alone
@Bababatty your transfer is coming up huh? When do you start progesterone? @artemis618 you too, are you ready?? @Irisheyes81 happy belated bday! how was your day? @safire3 you're almost there too. so exciting the the eggs will be thawed, did they fertilize them that day or are you fertilizing once thawed? @adirat yay for 2 healthy embryos! how exciting @dragonette505 sorry for more delays. We constantly have to walk a tight rope, and everything has to be in perfect balance. The real miracle of life is how women get pregnant unassisted. because the stars really do have to effing align. I know I missed a lot of you. I'm sorry. I read so many post a couple days ago, without the ability to respond. Those suffering from estrogen side effects, yes it's real, BUT it got better for me once I stopped Lupron. I think the combo was killing me. Also, I'm downcycled to 2, and it's much better. My body is used to it. So hang in there, because it will get better. The PIO, I have no side effects really, just some soreness at the injection site.
AFM: My transfer was yesterday. Thank you for all the well wishes. I felt like it took a while to get the catheter in, and then they finally put in the catheter with the embryos. I had a valium, so I was fiiiiiiiiiiiiine. Other than that it was pretty uneventful. I did sip water on my way to the appt (not chugged), whoever gave me that tip, you are awesome. so the pressure of the U/S was not bad at all, but my bladder was sufficiently full. We did see the flash of white as the embryos when in that was amazing. I did not cry, I think I was just more in awe than anything else. Cramping afterwards was very mild. My dog has been super extra sweet too, laying her head on my belly, and being super gentle around me (I have a terrier mix, I'm sure she is part jack russell, so hyper is her normal) other than that, I am on bedrest, relaxing, watching netflix (The LITERAL meaning of netflix and chill, not the implied one, bummer LOL)
@adirat so relieved for you!!!! That is amazing! How wonderful for you to be able to build the beautiful, healthy family of your dreams! ❤
@coco305. Congrats on being PASP!!! That is sweet your doggies being extra tender. ;)
@JamieH2000 I hear you on having waited plenty long enough (((hugs))) this is why they call us warriors!!!! You are a wonder. And you can do this. Fx the wait will all be worthwhile, and there will be NO MORE non ku or (Or non tww, at least) Christmases for any of us this year!!!!
AFM, I got a clear pathology report from my polyp today, so that's a bigger relief than I anticipated, even though we really didn't expect anything wrong. I go in for baselines tomorrow morning, and then I guess we will see how often they want me to come back - I think every 4 or 5 days maybe? This will be my first FET, so I'm not really sure what to expect. I have to call back on Monday, and if the PIO is still backordered, again the following monday, so I have that in time to add PIO around Nov 11 or 12.
@businesswife Clear report, what a relief! So happy for you to move on finally! For me, I have gone back every 6-7 days after my baseline which is much easier than the stims/every 2 days!
@BusinessWife yay for a clear report. You'll probably go 3 or 4 times total before FET, including baseline. Quick tip: I just ordered more PIO since I realized one bottle will last me 5 days (I take 2cc daily) and I called my specialty pharmacy, they are on backorder but said that PIO is not considered specialty so any pharmacy should have it. I just called around, found a local cvs and had the specialty pharmacy transfer over the script. Hopefully it's the same in your area
@BusinessWife thanks for the good vibes. Raspberry tea sounds nice, I might look into it since all the Pom tea is sold out in the stores I went to yesterday...hmmm im glad you had a good clear report!
@JamieH2000 Thanks. I also hope I could do all those stuff-pedi,mani and even hair dyeing- but DH isn't comfortable for me doing them, so I'm seeing a couple of long silver strands of hair now. Kind of funny, I guess I'd have to wear hats this autumn.
@dragonette505 Oh no! More waiting... I really really hope that these delays exist to prepare you and your body very well for that special day. (((Hugs)))
@Bababatty Thank you. Congrats on the nice lining and dc on your upcoming blood work. 1 week left before transfer... that's so soon!
@safire3 Thank you for cheering on me and my embaby. I'd be praying and thinking of your embabies too on Monday.
@artemis618 thank you. I'm a bit calm now and I'm preparing myself and my house and putting matters in order so when my transfer day comes, all I have to do is rest. I like what you said- 'have faith'. Yes, I remember faith in God is what keeps me going in tough times like these. I'll do that and pray more.
@Crystal321 7.5lbs! Wow that's great! Congrats! Thanks again for making the spreadsheet. It's nice to see our updates there. I'll keep checking it every time.
@funkykey It's good you are watching your weight and keeping a healthy lifestyle. Keep up the good work.
@adirat Yay for the great results on your embies!!!
@coco305 so glad your transfer went well (and it’s nice to get an idea of what to expect). I hope you peanut is getting nice and comfy in there. Relax and enjoy the weekend!
@adirat I’m so happy you got some normies! And isn’t it just perfect to have a girl and a boy. So precious!
@JamieH2000 I think you should get a good number to freeze. Can’t wait to hear the day 5 report. For me ours were fertilized but just frozen after one day. I have no idea if the will give me reports before day 5. I will ask when I go on Monday.
@BusinessWife yay for a clear pathology report. That’s definitely always a relief. GL tomorrow!
Sounds like good news all around today! Keep it coming ladies!
Heyyyy!!! Guess who has two thumbs and is starting FET meds today!?!!? <img src="https://us.v-cdn.net/5020794/uploads/editor/nh/wwh4e17nqpw8.gif" alt=""> Lining was good, ovaries were quiet, lands were good, so I start taking one 2mg Estrace pill 2x daily. A little annoyed at myself I didn't bring them with me to take the first one at work, so the timing will be a little off today, but then I'll try to get on a better am/pm timing after today. :p
@coco305- Congrats on being PUPO! sounds like everything went really smooth! Hope you have a nice relaxing weekend! Can I ask how you decided to transfer two? I am still struggling with what we will do.
@businesswife- thanks, the waiting really really sucks, but hopefully it will be a slam dunk once we get this lining looking good. So glad to hear the pathology is normal. Always a relief to confirm normal results like that! They better get that PIO back in stock! I believe there is two types- sesame oil and ethyl olate.. so maybe if one isn't in stock, you could ask for the other?
@tinjp78- you should definitely try to dye your hair before transfer then! Its totally ok now. Even pedicures/manicures are really fine I have heard after transfer, pregnant ladies get them all the time! Otherwise maybe a massage?
@safire3- I will definitely keep you posted on the day 5 report. I feel like sometimes I update you ladies before I even call DH I would definitely as about a day 3 transfer and how they do that.. for my clinic, if they have 5 or more looking good on day 2, they will go to day 5. If they have 3 or less, then they do day 3. I think 4 is in the gray area and we make a call together. Something like that. Obviously success rates are better with day 5, but most clinics would rather put 2 or even 3 back on day 3 if that is all you have. FX that all 5 do GREAT!!

Woohoo AF started today. I’ll call my nurse tomorrow to schedule BW and an ultrasound and hopefully get a finalized transfer date.
Surgery went well. I’ll be hobbling around for 3 weeks or so and get the pin out around transfer time. My doctor prescribed me a healthy supply of Norco so I’ve been laying around relaxing all week.

@adirat That is AMAZING! Two perfect embryos. So happy for you
@coco305 I was so so so excited to hear your transfer went so smoothly and you have a great little dog to help you relax. I've been thinking sticky vibes for you this whole weekend and can't WAIT to hear updates. How are you feeling now??
@businesswife congrats starting FET meds!! I have my first check this Wednesday so I'm just a few days behind you. So glad the pathology report was all clear.
@sunnyrain2 congrats on AF. She came to visit me yesterday too! Hope your foot is okay
AFM I am just surfing the crimson wave, shooting up lupron with dull needles nightly and waiting for Wednesday when I get my ultrasound and blood work to start pills and patches. Time is standing still. I'm doing acupuncture, meditation, eating very clean (all organic, no sugar, no meat, tons of veggies) but will start with pom juice, avocado and pineapple around transfer. I'm also snacking on a lot of pumpkin seeds. I walk daily with my little dog. No caffeine or alcohol (I miss you, my dear sweet wine). I'm trying hard to get 8 hours of sleep. I stopped melatonin but it's easier now that it gets dark at like 6. Basically my life revolves around this embryo transfer.
I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend.

@sunnyrain2 I’m glad your surgery went well and you were able to get it done before transfer. @JamieH2000 waiting for your update today!
AFM I had a lining check today and looks like we’re on track for Saturday! Lining was 9.8 and they didn’t tell me if it was trilaminar or not but I don’t have any more checks until transfer so I guess it’s good. Estrogen was 395 and tonight I get to go down to 2 estrogen patches which I’m very happy about. I also get to stop Lupron and I start crinone today. Embies will be thawed tomorrow and it doesn’t seem like we will be given the option of a 3 day transfer so I sure hope they make it. Not sure if we will get updates on the embies either. The nurse said she would find out from the lab and get back to me.
@safire3. Oh wow, how nerve wracking. Deep breaths. Know that we are all here wishing and hoping and praying for your little embies right along with you!!! ❤❤❤❤❤
@adirat you are not missing anything. She just told me that as far as she knows that is the new protocol. No good reason. Keep in mind this is the nurse. At this clinic you hardly ever meet with the actual RE. If I am not successful this time I will definitely be switching clinics. I guess I will have to call and harass them on Wednesday to see how the embies are doing and go from there.
@sunnyrain2- yay for getting started! And glad the surgery went well!
@irisheyes81- Sounds like you are doing everything right! I feel like its so much more easy to be motivated when you are this close Keep it up!
@safire3- Your lining is amazing! I would definitely stay on top of your clinic about embryo progress. I have gone to two of the most reputable/good success rate clinics in the midwest, and both were advocates of day 3 transfers if there are only a few embryos. If the lab is good, any that don't make it to day 5 in the lab likely won't make it to day 5 in utero either, but of course there is no way to know this for sure, so thats why my clinics thought in utero was best unless there were a decent amount of good embryos at day 3. I know it may feel like nagging (or at least that is how I have felt when I email/call alot), but I think this is a time where you need to advocate for yourself and embryos We are here for you and know how hard these 5 days are!!
I forgot to add my update.. which isn't much.. I emailed and they will call tomorrow with the full report. Part of me is impatient, but I know alot of embryos take until day 6 to get to full blast, so I'm thinking this will be less stressful hopefully in the end.

Re: November FET
@safire3 I feel like the nausea stepped up today. I don’t quite feel like throwing up, but I don’t feel like eating certain things (the lunch I brought today) and so tired - and not having much to do at work isn’t helping. Maybe starting progesterone will help (knock me out if nothing else). Or maybe it’s because we’re a week out

3pm: IVF lab calls and we had 22 mature and 18 fertilized!

On my way now to shop for pomegranate tea.
@tinjp78. So excited for you!!! 11/6 is so close. Sometimes, I think all we can do is close our eyes tight, and throw the proverbial penny in the well. (((Hugs))) I will be wishing and hoping so hard for one sticky little miracle to happen!

Back for # 2!
lol Its so frustrating.

Back for # 2!

This is my 3rd transfer so I am reaching at this point. We only have one embryo left after this, and tbh I am not sure if we are going to do IVF again after this. I really just can't afford pgs right now.
@Bababatty - glad your lining check went well!
@bababatty- Wow, great lining! I want that next month
@safire3- Yes not looking forward to more shots
I definitely don't want to celebrate that
AFM- somehow I missed my clinic's call!

Back for # 2!
@adirat yay for 2 healthy embryos! how exciting
@dragonette505 sorry for more delays.
We did see the flash of white as the embryos when in
other than that, I am on bedrest, relaxing, watching netflix (The LITERAL meaning of netflix and chill, not the implied one, bummer LOL)
I have to call back on Monday, and if the PIO is still backordered, again the following monday, so I have that in time to add PIO around Nov 11 or 12.
is not considered specialty so any pharmacy should have it. I just called around, found a local cvs and had the specialty pharmacy transfer over the script. Hopefully it's the same in your area
im glad you had a good clear report!
@coco305 Congrats on being PUPO!!!
@sunnyrain3 How is your foot, dear? I hope that you are recovering well.
<img src="https://us.v-cdn.net/5020794/uploads/editor/nh/wwh4e17nqpw8.gif" alt="">
Lining was good, ovaries were quiet, lands were good, so I start taking one 2mg Estrace pill 2x daily. A little annoyed at myself I didn't bring them with me to take the first one at work, so the timing will be a little off today, but then I'll try to get on a better am/pm timing after today. :p
Next scan is Wednesday!
I feel like sometimes I update you ladies before I even call DH

@coco305 I was so so so excited to hear your transfer went so smoothly and you have a great little dog to help you relax. I've been thinking sticky vibes for you this whole weekend and can't WAIT to hear updates. How are you feeling now??
@JamieH2000 Any updates??? Pins and needles
@safire3 Fingers crossed they all grow! Why would a day 3 transfer be off the table? Sorry if I'm missing something obvious.
@irisheyes81- Sounds like you are doing everything right! I feel like its so much more easy to be motivated when you are this close
I know it may feel like nagging (or at least that is how I have felt when I email/call alot), but I think this is a time where you need to advocate for yourself and embryos
I forgot to add my update.. which isn't much.. I emailed and they will call tomorrow with the full report. Part of me is impatient, but I know alot of embryos take until day 6 to get to full blast, so I'm thinking this will be less stressful hopefully in the end.
