@whiska I'm at 21+5 and my kicks still feel pretty light and fluttery. I still can't tell for sure what's a kick versus my body, though they're frequent enough now that I think most of them are kicks. I haven't seen or felt any on the outside yet.
@leilagphillips do you think it could be because we're having twins and they're a little smaller than singleton babies? Mine are still light and fluttery too and very sporadic (I'm 20+5).
@breezybee Maybe! I've got an MFM appointment on Monday so I think I'll find out their current measurements then. They were both 10 oz when I went last time at 18+2, which I think was about on track with singleton measurements, but I'm not sure. I have a little extra padding on my stomach area too, so not sure if that makes a difference or not...
I felt the first kicks that were out of my pelvis today! When I woke up I laid there with my hand on my stomach and felt a couple of bops about 3 inches above my belly button. Then I was able to poke a little and feel her knee or elbow or something. Love that!
My kicks have definitely increased this week (hardness and frequency). Before he'd only kick me when I was in the right position. Now if I lean forward, lean back, lay down, sit up, etc- I get kicked. He seems to be pretty picky. lol.
Where are you ladies feeling the majority of kicks/punches? All of what I'm feeling is still below my belly button. He feels so low. I don't remember that with DS - his kicks were much higher.
@Marley629 All my waves & kicks have been very low, as well. FTM here, so I have nothing to compare it to, but I've still been somewhat surprised by all the low movement.
@Marley629 yep all of mine are so low. She is head up most of the time. I was napping today and she flipped head down and landed on my bladder. I came up out of that bed fast. Haha. Then I felt her right at and a little above my belly button. She is back head up now I guess because they are low again.
She is active when i eat, during church, and around 8:00-8:30'at night. Since I started back teaching two weeks ago she is sleeping most of the day since I'm on my feet. I think it rocks her to sleep.
@leilagphillips yeah, after I posted that, I thought about it. I think they're still the same size as singletons at this time, so my theory doesn't actually make sense lol. Mine were 12oz last week (20+4).
@Marley629 For the last week or so all the movement has been to the (my) left side of my belly button. The last 48 hours or so I haven't been feeling as many flutters but the few I think I've felt have been really low in the center of my pelvis, so I'm hoping she just changed spots.
@Marley629 The highest I've felt so far is right at belly button level. When we went for our U/S on Thursday, she was head down with her feet basically right at belly button height.
@Marley629, mine have all been down in my pelvis until this past week. Now when I'm laying down I can feel kicks as far up as 3 inches above my belly button. (When I am upright they are all still below).
I mentioned how low baby seemed at my 16 week appointment and my OB NP said, "After 2 babies there's just more room down there." Cool. Thanks.
Today I was trying to show DH the remote trick. And little girl kicked so hard the remote flew off. Hahaha DH then felt her kick hard again twice. About 2 inches below belly button. Girl is getting strong haha
@Marley629 my kicks have been at belly button level for the last few weeks but then over the last few days, she's been kicking me very low, well below belly button it seems.

@Marley629 Mine have mostly been below the belly button, maybe 1 in 50 taps is above. I was actually talking to baby yesterday like, "The doctor says the top of the uterus is way up here (5-6 cm above the belly button) baby, you'd have so much more room for activities up here!"
I looked at my chart though and it says my placenta is anterior fundal, so I guess it makes sense I'm not feeling the really strong kicks up there.

DH felt baby boy move for the first time last night. They were good hard kicks and then I reminded him that baby could hear us now so he started saying right into my belly "Calm down there buddy. Your mama needs some sleep." So sweet. Made me fall in love with him all over again.
