@aprilsarahjune i bet that was the spinal. it is the same exact process. just on the operating table. it must work faster or something? it didnt make me shiver as much as the epidural but i think i was a little chilly. i remember they put blankets on me for both.
I remember my doc telling me the shivering has nothing to do with being cold. It's because of the sudden release of hormones when they cut into your ute. DH kept asking them to get me a blanket because I was shaking so much and I kept telling him I'm not cold, but I can't stop shaking.
@sdarling2010@canonmom413 +1 to men being useless when it comes to preparing period! I prefer DH to lay his clothes out so I can pack our stuff neatly together. I usually remind him of this daily for a week before we leave and he is usually pulling his clothes out 10 minutes before we walk out the door. They also don't listen like when I tell him that his waiting to the last minute gives me major anxiety and that's the reason why I'm grumpy during our trip.
If the Midwest seems a little brighter than usual right now, it's because I got my pale ass out in the sun. Hoping to start working on my "tan" (aka freckles) before our vacation in a few weeks.
I'm currently sitting outside in the sun on the patio of the Kaiser Permanente building, waiting to check in for my follow up ultrasound (they couldn't get a good pic of LO's spine at the AS last week because he was lounging the whole time). I may have strategically planned dropping DD off at my parents early so I could get here and enjoy some vitamin D in peace. This is what my current dreams are made of, ahhh.
@curlyq423 I have found the L'Oreal self tanner towelettes to be my best friend now. I use to be a tanning junky until I had a few problem spots and had a kid and have virtually no time for my self, ever.
@mrs_fogue flourless chocolate cake is my go-to and surprisingly easy. there are tons of great recipes out there to choose from, but Ive made this one recently and can vouch for it: https://cooking.nytimes.com/recipes/11001-intense-chocolate-mousse-cake (I used whiskey instead of brandy cause that's what I had, but you can also leave it out)
If you want to go fancier: cheesecake with a chex and/or nut crust, pavlova, macarons or panna cotta are all good options.
If you want to keep it simple: any sort of rice krispie treat works as long as you use the GF krispies because the normal ones contain malt (a form of gluten).
It's 5:15. I'm working until 8:30. I'm starving. Should I eat dinner ( pasta , sauce, chicken sausage) now or wait a little bit? I do have pudding as a snack too. The classes switch over at 5:30. So I'd have to wait until atleast 5:35 anyway. Hmmm.....
I am not outdoorsy enough for sex in the wild. What if there is a critter out there? Or sticks digging into me. Call me a snob but I need the luxury of furniture.
I watched a tiny house hunters type show the other day and the lady kept commenting that it was small. Um...small is a synonym for tiny. You're going to have like 2 square feet.
But not laying down, because ew to sticks and bugs. Usually I'm leaning against a tree and we're both standing up doing it. Doggy style is good in the wild.
I love my husband dearly. But he asks the dumbest questions. I made chicken salad tonight so I could take it for lunch. He comes home and walks into the room all confused "did you make chicken salad tonight?" "Yes" "oh...ok...just checking"
uhhh did you think it just appeared in our Tupperware?
DD's been running around all night singing "oh Cecilia, you're breaking my heart!" over and over. DH is definitely trying to brainwash us to agree with his name pick.

We did it on a four wheeler once. It wasn't moving but that's the extent of my outdoor experiences.

You all may remember my fffc from a while back that DH had no idea I was on the bump. Last night, while I was bumping on my phone, he asked, "what's that app you're always on?" I've been caught!

@beezeemarie I always feel awkward when I talk about things from TB with DH. So I usually say "my forum friends". He's on gaming forums ( lurks doesn't post- doesn't even have an account) so he somewhat gets it.
@canonmom413 yea I gave him kind of a cursory "oh it's a pregnancy thing where I can talk to other pregnant women." He didn't seem to think much of it.

I'm contemplating putting baby #2 out on social media this weekend...we're going kayaking on Sunday so trying to think of something to go along with that. SIL sends me this (as a joke).
BFP#1: 12/3/13 EDD 8/15/13. Heartbeat found on 12/26/13, HB gone on 1/4/13. D&C 1/7/13

I told DH about this group about a week ago and have brought it up a handful of times since. I don't think he gets it because every time I say something about it he gets this very confused look on his face. Kind of like this
It will become the norm for him and then he will start rolling his eyes He normally gives me grief when we try and schedule meet ups with other moms, because you know internet strangers. But has been a good sport about it all.

I see that your comment was on this thread, but apparently I'm blind when searching for anything while on desktop.

Omg I can't imagine the sand... brings a whole new meaning to "sand in your clit" which is also a term used for someone who's pissy lol
