  • @aprilsarahjune i bet that was the spinal. it is the same exact process. just on the operating table. it must work faster or something? it didnt make me shiver as much as the epidural but i think i was a little chilly. i remember they put blankets on me for both.
I remember my doc telling me the shivering has nothing to do with being cold. It's because of the sudden release of hormones when they cut into your ute. DH kept asking them to get me a blanket because I was shaking so much and I kept telling him I'm not cold, but I can't stop shaking.

  • @sdarling2010 @canonmom413 +1 to men being useless when it comes to preparing period!  I prefer DH to lay his clothes out so I can pack our stuff neatly together.  I usually remind him of this daily for a week before we leave and he is usually pulling his clothes out 10 minutes before we walk out the door.  They also don't listen like when I tell him that his waiting to the last minute gives me major anxiety and that's the reason why I'm grumpy during our trip.
  • ^errrr i mean H wants a big one...for fathers day.

  • No problem @mrs_fogue

I see that your comment was on this thread, but apparently I'm blind when searching for anything while on desktop.

  • @mrs_fogue flourless chocolate cake is my go-to and surprisingly easy. there are tons of great recipes out there to choose from, but Ive made this one recently and can vouch for it: https://cooking.nytimes.com/recipes/11001-intense-chocolate-mousse-cake (I used whiskey instead of brandy cause that's what I had, but you can also leave it out)

If you want to go fancier: cheesecake with a chex and/or nut crust, pavlova, macarons or panna cotta are all good options.

If you want to keep it simple: any sort of rice krispie treat works as long as you use the GF krispies because the normal ones contain malt (a form of gluten).

And if you want to pretend it's a healthy dessert, this is delicious: https://chocolatecoveredkatie.com/2011/05/31/deep-dish-cookie-pie/

  • It's 5:15. I'm working until 8:30. I'm starving. Should I eat dinner ( pasta , sauce, chicken sausage) now or wait a little bit? I do have pudding as a snack too.   The classes switch over at 5:30. So I'd have to wait until atleast 5:35 anyway. Hmmm.....
