Good morning everyone!
We had our Gender Reveal yesterday and my MIL decided she would give me my birthday present a month early. She got me my first maternity shirt that says "You are my sunshine" with a heart over the belly and money to go shopping for more. She's a saint.
Re: Weekly Randoms (5.22-5.28)
Im getting so anxious for my AS Wednesday. My appt is at 10:30 am, but I have to hold it in until we do our live FB reveal at 8pm! It is going to kill me. But I suck at pretending to be shocked/excited when I already know something. There's no chance of me peeking. The good thing is I'm dropping off the envelope to the baker after my appt. so I won't have anything to peek in. The hardest part is when I pick up the cupcakes at 4pm and have to work at the dance studio. It will be so hard to not poke and prod at them.

Not gonna lie, it works miracles
@canonmom413 so excited for you for your AS!! I know I would peek if I were left to my own lol
I was pretty sure we were done with the stomach flu here. DS hadn't puked since Saturday morning. Until he power puked all over my iPad and my bed this morning.

@canonmom413 Hope your AS gets here fast! I'm so not patient enough to not find out if I know I can know haha.
@PizzaMonster3 Ahh, DH got himself a squatty potty a month or two ago and we both LOVE it! It's seriously the best lol. We seriously may get a second for upstairs!
@shan24 That's the worst, hope it passes soon! I got sick this morning, but I'm really hoping it was just from coughing too hard (from drainage built up overnight, ugh)
We are flying home to visit family this weekend, so I get to spend my week getting out house ready (I can't leave it messy or anything undone lol). Both sides of our family are in the same town, so we are excited to see the whole family! Getting my baby fix while we are there; We get to meet our 3 month old niece for the first time and our 3 month old "nephew" (my step-sister's son, but I'm not sure if she considers me his aunt lol, we didn't grow up together or anything), plus we get to see our little cousin that is 6 months. I told DH it's a good thing I'm pregnant, because I still have baby fever haha.

@pizzamonster3 haha I think I'm going to get my DH the squatty potty for a random present. He has way more issues than me, but he scoffs at it.
@shan24 oh no! I hope your DS and your iPad are both ok.
@jessafishy what is your DH going to school for? I'm sure once he relaxes a bit from the stress of class he will be better with DS. I always have a shorter temper during the semester.
@ksf13 +1 to baby fever. It gets worse x10000 when we're pregnant! I visited my new cousin (3 weeks old!) this weekend and wow all the heart eyes. He's so damn adorable I just wanted to snuggle with him the whole time

this morning she came into our room to sleep and i woke up to her puking a little. so now i am totally freaked of second drowning. i called the pedi and they had a nurse call me back who had such an attitude. and told me they are not related. i mean logically i know she is fine, and if something were to happen it would have by now. but still so scary.

@bluejeanbabi05 I believe it! I do have the little baby nursery at church once a month, so that helps a little haha.
@carries2018 DH is normally more patient than I am, but he sometimes decides to get onto DD for the most random things that I wouldn't think twice about. I try not to go against him on discipline in front of her, but sometimes I just look at him like "really?" it's not that big of a deal.

@PizzaMonster3 DH has had a squatty potty for a couple years now and swears by it. He complains when we go on vacation and he doesn't have it. I've never actually used it but maybe I should. I usually just make fun of him lol but apparentaly it is amazing!
ETA changed squatter to squatty but a squatter potty sounds funny too

Re: DH has been dying to get one since they hit the market and I made so much fun of him for it. he tried adding it to our wedding registry, and he tried trading for it at a white elephant we went to. I gave him so much crap but lately I found myself rigging my own versions of squatty potties. I was using a box of Kleenex in our master bath, and down stairs we have a square trash can that I'd flip on it's side. The other day I was in a CVS bathroom that had all their spare rolls of indv wrapped tp rolls next to the toilet so I stacked a few of those and sent a pic to DH.
He knew I wouldn't pay for one so I guess this was his way of finally getting what he wanted lol

@carries2018 that is so frightening, um if you are a nurse with a pediatrician you need to know how to handle scared parents with a much nicer attitude or find a different field. This is like my #1 pet peeve right now. Parenting is scary and at times we just need comforted too.
Randoms: Gender Reveal was great. We had to push it back a day because of rain, but this just gave me extra time to prep. Now back to the great name debate.
DD melts my heart when she talks to baby and gives him kisses. Even more so know that we know and call him brother.
This week is going to be another crazy and intense week at work. Seems to be the running theme now days. So sorry for my sporadic Bump time.
No way would my kids be at her house unsupervised if they had a pool.

@jessafishy DH always admires houses that back up to little man-made lakes, and I have to remind them that a lot of those houses are not allowed per hoa guidelines to have a fenced off backyard because it impedes the view or some shit. Sorry babe, never gonna happen.

she needs the "if you don't have the right attitude for customer service then go home" talk right now! No way in hell should she be handling worried parents
Something similar happened a few weeks ago when we were at a waterpark at Legoland. DH was playing in deeper water with DD1 and I was standing in the shallow wave pool area fully clothed, with DD2 who had a life vest on. I looked away for a few seconds to take a short video clip of DH and DD1 and when I looked back down DD2 was face down in the water and struggling. It was only a few seconds but it was still so scary! I had such a false sense of safety since she was in a life vest and we were in shallow water and I only looked away for a few seconds.
We have a small koi pond right outside our back door and it's terrifying with little people around. Luckily neither of the girls are strong enough to unlock the screen lock, but they will be by the time the twins are here. I really hope we move before the twins are mobile because I will never be able to go to the bathroom again.

We went to a few garage sales in our neighborhood this weekend. I got some good baby stuff for so cheap, all in really great condition - 3 crib sheets (boy colors) and crib skirt for $2, a diaper genie for $3, changing table pad for $5!! I'm still riding my shopping high! Its true, baby 2 definitely gets the shaft on brand new stuff ... because mommy is smarter (and on a tight SAHM, single income budget!)!

Today I had my followup appointment with my OBGYN and baby girl measured normally and things are looking good!

eta: it sounds a bit weird that she had a surprise wedding but trust me, with the drama that happened btw them last year, it was best that way.
