Yesterday DH and I went and spent $20 on ice cream even though we are on a budget. Not even mad.
But like.. look at this (also, sorry if huge.. posting from mobile). Chocolate ice cream with chunks of reeces pieces and chopped up reeces peanut butter cups in a sprinkle crusted waffle bowl.
I didn't finish it and it's in the freezer right now. I'm trying to figure out if it's socially acceptable to eat it at 9:20 in the morning after having just ate a bagel.
@dumbledoredies That looks totally worth breaking the budget. Also, of course ice cream is acceptable at 9:20 am. Pretty sure that's not even a question!
@dumbledoredies You're talking to the girl who ate pad thai for breakfast last week.
Ice cream is completely acceptable at breakfast. I mean, you need plenty of calcium right now and ice cream is a FANTASTIC way to get calcium!
I spy some chocolate, which comes from a bean - so not only is it considered a vegetable, but, as the saying goes, "beans, beans, the musical fruit, the more you eat, the more you toot!" - I mean, what preggo girl doesn't need some extra assistance in the pooping department?
And even if the beans didn't help - the waffle cone is packed full of some great fiber!
And finally, peanut butter is such a great source of protein.
You're doing a great job!!

the bachelorette i think will be a good season, the first episode always makes me want to crawl out of my body out of awkwardness. but i can see some dramaz down the line. there is already one morality police on there. he is such a dweeb.
@natleilynn gosh, I didn't realize just how much nutrition is in my calorie packed ice cream! All healthy calories, of course.
Its like when I eat cookies but I also eat some strawberries. The strawberries automatically cancel out the cookies...
@carries2018 the first episode is always the worst. People are so damn awkward! I could never handle being in a situation like that. It makes me so uncomfortable. I also like the bachelor way more then the bachelorette because I can't handle watching these prissy men cry.
All of this. I don't really watch bachelor but i am an avid bip watcher. Mostly because I would have loved to be on that show when I was younger lol, how fun does it look.
We're having a boy and clearly H is excited and has had a favorite boy name picked out for awhile. He offered to rub my back each night in exchange for naming the baby his name choice. It's secretly my first choice too, so I'll probably/definitely be cashing in on this offer.
Dangit - I didn't realize The Bachelorette started last night...must check hulu tonight!
i would go home on the first week. i would be too busy judging all the couples whilst getting crunk on the beach all day forgetting that i actually have to make a connection myself.
5 months from right now my guts will be on a table
Such a sweet way to anticipate your RCS.

For those having a repeat csection, what anesthesia were you given? An epidural or something different? With both of mine, I had the epidural before the csection was decided so I already had an epidural.

spinal. it didnt make me as thirsty but it did make me itch but they just gave me benadryl after. overall it was easier/better i would say. all i remember with my csection with DD1 was being so thirsty. like i cared more about getting water than my baby laying next to me haha.
@Brambles23 i am sure they give you options. i forget the reasoning but they prefer to do spinal for some reason. but talk to your doc about it. you are completely awake. and i was chatting away about lyfe with my doc whilst she put my organs back in. its all very surreal haha.
@carries2018 Does the spinal feel different from the epidural in the insertion process? I definitely had an epidural with DDs, but now I am starting to question what I had with DS, as it was inserted while I was on the operating table. The side effects were the same for me - wide awake but shivering and somewhat itchy.

@aprilsarahjune i bet that was the spinal. it is the same exact process. just on the operating table. it must work faster or something? it didnt make me shiver as much as the epidural but i think i was a little chilly. i remember they put blankets on me for both.
ok google says - the spinal works faster and is more dense/reliable. epidural you can feel tugging. Also the epidural needs to be left in for a drip, where the spinal they can just do a 1 time injection for a specific block of time. don't make me site my sources bc i got my information from forums so could be all wrong. but i feel like that sounds right/what i remember.
I'm all about the gluten all day e'er day! Especially during this pregnancy, I need all the breads. But we are going to a going away party for some friends Thursday and she is gluten free. I'm bringing dessert, so give me all the yummy gluten free dessert recipes that you love.
I love family trips! But I hate packing myself, DD, anything else we may need and reminding DH of everything he needs. Plus the unpacking.
Our trip to Boise this weekend reminded me of all of this.
Ugh why cant men think for themselves! I have to ask DH if he has certain items because if I don't pack it, he'll forget it!! And then he'll blame me and say, " you notmallynpack this stuff for me" yes but you're a grown man. I have three other people to pack for. And next year. I'll be packing for 4. I really shouldn't have to pack for 5 myself.
@canonmom413 SO much yes. Major WTF in DH's direction. Pack your own shit ... without reminders, or pack everyone else ... except that would be a disaster. Never mind.
Okay, I swear I saw a thread where @mrs_fogue was asking about a paleo/gluten-free dessert recipe and I can't seem to find it now. This is what happens when I look at TB on my phone and later try to pull it up on the computer.

Anyway, I like this recipe a lot. It's super easy and peaches are in season right now. I forgo the rosemary though. https://fedandfit.com/2012/08/04/paleo-peach-cobbler/
