@Prudence9 -I think my FETs were considered medicated.  I had to take estradiol and maybe one more oral med?  Other than that I took progesterone.

@Hopeful_mom -Hope your ER went great!  You are amazing for doing ...3 or 4 ERs in a row???  Be proud of that!  Also, I've never heard of which side to inject.  If that's true, then our doctors should definitely tell us these things!

AFM, still going crazy over what my results will be!  Also, stressing out because we have to move soon...annnnd sell our house/ find one!

@LoveDontCostAThing its 4 in a row...I am proud BUT so happy to be done!  This was a hard cycle!  Took them a while to find my vein as usual.  My RE was being understandable but also mentioned she doesn't want me to ovulate you should've seen how fast I got changed and ready to go!!  I know ur stressed about the results but I know good things are coming!

hi ladies!  Its been a day I swear!.... ER days should just be easy and relaxing and this was anything but!! 
(OH had a family emergency which took him away and made me late for ER where I was back to possibly using a frozen sample instead of fresh...so you can imagine all the extra stress that went along with already being anxious for today)

After all was said at done I did walk away with 4 eggs, I didn't cry do thats already better then last ER  However it was 1 from the left and 3 from the right.  Meaning the big left one was empty  and then the 2 smaller ones on the right made it...just praying they are mature enough and fertilize.  I feel like if they dont fertilize thats when they determine they're not mature.  I hear others after ER know right away how many eggs and then how may are mature and so on.  Maybe cause I get so few they can tell right away?  Who knows.  Glad its done!  Just praying they all fertilize and make it through!!

Side note I asked my RE about my right vs left and she said right is right and left is left...so who knows, just glad I'm done and no shots tonight!!

Update is in already yay!!

I did get the call and 3 of the 4 fertilized, one per icisi and the other 2 regular insemination.  Am I happy sure, bummed about the 4th hell yes!!  You want them all to make it as when you do testing it cuts the odds down tremendously at my age    I feel more frazzled maybe as my RE said they were doing icsi on the "good looking mature ones"  so I feel like that means one egg was bad??  I know i have to take the 3 and PRAY they will all make it through!!  My clinic will have a report for me day 2,3 and then 5...so I shall be a basket case everyday!    PLease keep that normal good juju coming for me please ladies

AFM... decided to stick with the non anesthesia procedure. One week from today... and yesterday decided to book a trip to Europe the following week. (For a friend's wedding). I think I will still be on antibiotics. So I really hope you can drink with them! Haha

@hopeful_mom -Don't worry!  I am also a basket case until I get results!  I swear there is always something to worry about no matter where in the process or pregnancy you are.  So, how soon will you do a transfer??

@Prudence9 -You deserve a trip to Europe and to drink!!!  August will be here before we know it.

@Prudence9 I'm glad you planned something nice for yourself to enjoy!  I think a few drinks won't kill you at this point!  I hate any delay at this point, i'm with you I need to see when I'll be good to go for transfer.

@LoveDontCostAThing 100% worrying will never stop for sure! This is only the beginning Are you starting to feel movement...i'm assuming yes??  Well maybe at 5oz no  Now I pray these bundles of goodness come back to me normal!!  I will hopefully prep for a transfer when AF arrives wich should be as soon as next weekend.  So I need to see my RE prior.  She said they dont do BCP and start on CD2 of your AF so I feel like I should be hopefully good to go!!
I'm excited thinking about a transfer but TERRIFIED at the same time.  I have to be honest.  My previous MC has scared the hell outta me.  I hate that i keep expecting the worst out of this process.  I'm trying hard not to talk it into myself but its hard too.  You ladies will help keep me sane i hope!

@LoveDontCostAThing the only reason I decided to go on the trip is because they told me I'd be on antibiotics after. I'm assuming at least 10 days of antibiotics? So I think that my trip to Europe only pushes everything by few days.

@hopeful_mom I know what you mean about being afraid after the m/c... I'm terrified as well! 

If you can start the prep on CD2 without BCP seems like they are doing a shorter medicated protocol for you. Which is great!!! (I'm jealous. Haha)

i can't stand how I'm benched since my m/c in March!!! Ahhh. But I'm hoping that once they do this surgery that I'll be good to go...

i had EKG yesterday which was normal. But they are sending me to a cardiologist... 

so many doctors and procedures this last year... I feel like I'm 100 y/o

Feeling crushed already - Not feeling very hopeful for this cycle!  Have a 4AB which that I'm happy about but 2 - 2AB so thats really not great.  Hoping they will perk up tomorrow and get in the game.  This is where I even get frustrated with my faith, you can't give me a few days of hope and then crush my spirits.  This cycle was torture and its not getting any easier.

@hopeful_mom are they on day 4 or 5 now? Remember I had two that didn't perk up until day 6 and then they both came back normal. So don't lose hope just yet!

And I know how tough this wait is!

@prudence9 no its all day 2!!  I think thats whats freaking me out even more...we'll even see where they are at tomorrow...have to really pray hard something magical happens.  Need to sprinkle extra duct on this one!!

@hopeful_mom ah! The grading of your clinic always confuses me. 4ab would be a blast in my clinic... not a day two. 

Actually in my clinic they only check on day 1, 3 and 5. 


Oh no, not packing just yet... I still have to have a surgery before I go on vacation! So next Wed I have hysteroscopy and I'm flying the following Tues... so 6 days to the surgery and 12 days until vacation!

@hopeful_mom -Not feeling movement yet...here and there I feel random things, and I'm not sure what it is!!  I have noticed localized feelings sometimes when I am lying in bed.  I don't know, but can't wait for movement!  I think it's natural for you to be scared, but it won't stop you  We are all worried about it all, and we will be here for you!  That is SO exciting you may transfer soon!  AHHHH!!!

@Prudence9 -that's great you are taking a trip after your procedure...you'll have some time to think about something else and relax!

AFM, the online portal says my results were sent to my dr. early this morning and that they will be available to me tomorrow online.  I HOPE SO!  My friend and my dad said they would probably have called me today if something was wrong, but who knows!  I hope all is well!

P.S. I'm watching lifetime...I've seen this movie before, but it's funny because it's about IVF.  The couple sees this crazy doctor who apparently used to date the husband, but he doesn't recognize her from so long ago.  Well, he had gotten her pregnant back in the day, she miscarried, so now she transfers HER embryo into his wife!!  Well, she transfers two--one of hers and one of the wife...anyway, at least IVF is so common now that lifetime is making movies!!!  It's from 2016.

My clinics grading goes by the cell division I believe, so day 2 should be 4, day 3 should be 8 then day 4 they dont disturb them and then day 5 we hope for the blast...so getting a 2 is certainly upsetting!

@hopeful_mom no, what confused me is the letters after the number. My clinic says on day 3 anything between 6 to 10 cells is good. Doesn't have to be exactly 8. Anyway, I hope they are just slow starters and will catch up! FX!!

Hi Ladies!!

Today I shall be a glimmer of HOPE!!  Just got off the phone with my RE she called after my lengthy email from yesterday   I promise she wants me to become preggers as much as me so she doesn't have to deal with me anymore!!

OK so today everything is still growing - even my 4th egg had late fertilization and is a cell 4 today...is it a long shot sure BUT for today all 4 of my embabies are still in it.  Today is day 3 and they should be between 6-10cell,  Now I have 2 that are at 8, a 5 and now a 4  Today I am breathing easier.  I doubt I will get an update over the weekend so its probably Monday that I will here who has made it for testing!!  Really praying hard they all continue on!!

I didn't even concentrate on the letters today so there you go

Today technically would be day 5 for my embabies but because its sunday I really didn't think I would get a call and to my delight the head of the embabies dept. gave me a call.  In a crazy frustrating day I got a glimmer of hope!!  One is ready for testing and the others are still in it...shes hoping to get one or two more tomorrow.....praying with everything they will pull through!!  If you've been following my grading you will find it interesting that the first that made it to blast was a regular fert and originally was a 2AB on day 2 and just perked right up...so praying that is a normie fighter right there!!  Still a basket case but still hoping for the best!!!

ive learned that grading is really not everything. Out my 8 blasts that were tested, the one with the lowest grade turned out normal!

AFM - I've been on BCP for about 12 days and all of a sudden I'm having some spotting today. How could that be? My surgery is tomorrow and they wanted me to have no bleeding/spotting! Ahhh.

@Prudence9 well I'm thrilled it's procedure time! Sorry u have to go through it but glad u r!! One more hurdle to get you closer!! It's because of everything ur going through my dr did run some type of test today similar to a Pap smear to triple check all is good in the hood, so thank u!!

AFM: Had my RE appt today so I was able to get my full report!! I have some fighters on my hand so hoping this is a good sign in the end.  Day 5, I got the one 5AA and on day 6 I got the other 2 at 5AA woohoo!!! My lil ladies are already striving for excellence.  Even my late fertilized one was still going to day 7 but I think it's a wrap on that one.  So 3 are ready to go! Praying they all come back to me.
finally taking the next step for FET, I kind of can't believe it's finally time.  Looks like I will learn the joy of pio but hopefully not everyday if my levels are on point.

@hopeful_mom was it a Pap smear or a biopsy? I believe that during a Pap smear the dr takes a sample of the cervix and it is not painful at all. 
During a biopsy, the dr passes the cervix (painful) and takes a sample from the uterine lining. 

So glad 3 made it!! And 5AA is a great grading! Hopefully they will all come back normal! FX!!

As for PIO, it's not the end of the world. Some days are painful but some are not. Will you have to do it during preparations or until 13 weeks?

Prudence9 it wasn't a pap but it felt similar, however I am in so much pain now!  (TMI) My ass and vagina are killing me, swallen and burning a lil WTF!!  It was really hot out today and i did a lot of running around so maybe all the friction post the test OMG - I can't even right now.  Trying to see which topical cream is gonna work.  My nieces AD ointment isn't doing the trick like I was hoping grrrrr.  As for my embabies I"m really trying to be optimistic!!  Really want to go out on top moving on from IVF

@hopeful_mom was the procedure painful? My biopsy was super painful. But the pain was gone by the time I got home. Sorry you're still in pain! 

Did they tell you how long before they get the results? For me it was 2 weeks...

@Prudence9 We were chatting through it so no not really - its the aftermath, my ass feels like I have rug burn almost on it.  Im very sensitive and if you blow on me the wrong way I'll feel uncomfortable, so I'm really not sure....I know you know that we dont want any hiccups getting so close so its annoying!!!
Good luck on your surgery what time is it at...hoping its over in a jiffy.  heres something to make you laugh!!
My RE was in a good mood, I think pregnancy agrees with her and shes much friendlier to me, glad it only took so many cycles!  Anyhoo I told her that I share that she tells me how old I am and she stated "no, thats not true, your ovaries are just old"  thanks Doc!

do you have any idea about your FET protocol and when you start?

the surgery is at 3pm. I have to be there at 2pm for preparation. And fast 4 hours prior (since it's not general anesthesia it doesn't have to be all night)

i was was surprised to hear that the actual surgery is 1 hour long... yikes. And I'm awake for that. Hope I won't regret my desicion.

Prudence9 thinking of you sending you all the relaxation I can!!  I'd like to think they give you enough loopy medicine that you should still be sleeping!!!  When I was a kid I had my wisdom teeth taken 2x and the time I was relaxed i slept through the whole thing and the other time I was a basket case and up through it all.  SO my best advice is please try to relax!!!
I did get my protocol and a preliminary calendar so if AF shows up soon it could be as early as the week of July 10th eeeeeekkkkkkkk!
I'll be taking estrace orally and as the days continue I'll add to the dosage.  Crinone 2x a day which will be new for me as I only use to take it at night BUT I did learn something new!  The nurse mentioned that if you actually walk about and move around the gel works better and doesn't get all clumpy up in there where it needs to come out!  Who knew?  I told her I wish I wouldve known that the first time.  Luckily if my levels stay good I can do the estrace orally which I prefer, so not a fan of it vaginally!  My RE is also adding the PIO but only every 3rd day if my levels are good.  She mentioned theres a new study that hasn't even been published yet stating that it does help during FET so I'm all about it!!  Its funny we will do anything for this cause to help the outcome!!

Prudence9 as long as everything looks good - so shall hope for the best!!!  Not being able to drink water is the toughest part for me too...I would cheat and brush my teeth  good luck!!

@hopeful_mom funny that you say that.... I just brushed my teeth too. And I can't wait when in 2 hours they give me few pain killers with a little bit of water. I also made the mistake of going outside for a short walk. That wasn't smart. Ahhh. Soooo thirsty!!!

Sorry, it's been awhile.  This was my last day of school, so I've been busy, busy.  My school isn't air conditioned, so it's terrible!!!!  I'm so tired.  The genetic testing came back normal!  I haven't gotten the cystic fibrosis test back yet, but I hope that is normal too.  Now, I keep worrying about when I will feel the baby!  I need constant reassurance!  It's been awhile since my last appointment, so I am feeling that itch to confirm.  I have an appointment next week.

@Prudence9 -Good luck today!  I'm sure your surgery is going great!!!

@hopeful_mom -Sounds like your embabies did great!  Wahoo!  That's so exciting that you are doing your FET soon!!!!!  Honestly, crinone is good in that it doesn't fall out since it's gel it really does stick up there.  I had that TERRIBLE allergic reaction to it, so it sucked for me.  TMI, but they may not tell you: you also need to clean it out of you...it's gross.  Eventually it starts building up inside, and you need to stick your finger up there and get it out.  I did it in the shower...lovely.  It also can come out brownish black at times or just fall out in the toilet.  LOL, but better to be prepared.  Ohh, as for the lifetime movie, luckily she got pregnant with only her own embryo and not crazy doctors.  There is ANOTHER fertility lifetime movie where the woman uses donor eggs.  She hires a nanny, who ends of being the donor of her kids eggs.  The woman found out she cannot have kids, so she wants them back...LOL.  Lifetime is crazy!

@LoveDontCostAThing u kno I think I saw the end of that other crazy lifetime movie!!  so glad you're test came back normal - I just see continued success!!  Thanks for the crinone tip, I guess I didn't share with you when you first started I felt like I was giving birth to a baby smurf!  Taking the estrace vaginally with that was a special treat NOT!!  I wish my nurse gave me the heads up after I had asked about it, one day I felt like I had a tampon stuck and was thinking the baby was falling out...you worry about it all!!  UGH what we have to go through - I'm actually happy to get back to it so that means I'll be closer.  Let me ask you this...talk about BD not being romantic but once you started your prep for FET no more sex?  Between all these back to back cycles IVF its pretty non existent already.

@hopeful_mom & @LoveDontCostAThing I'm back! They drugged me so much that it was manageable. Painful at times. But not the end of the world. (The MUA and the biopsy were more painful ) this took much longer. 

I looked at at the screen. We saw two pieces of something hanging there. So they cut it off and will send to pathology. 

Ive been put on a 14 days antibiotics which means my trip to Italy doesn't postpone anything!! I will be on meds for 2 more days after I get back. And then we will start the prep on the following day. So my guess now is FET on the second week of August.

Right now I'm feeling great. No pain and relaxed. But they told me that by 7:30 I will need more pain meds. So I'll just take it. 

But being so relaxed is so great. Got an email from my boss that would usually upset me. But not right now. Haha

im so tired but don't want to go to bed so early. So will try to stay awake for another 2-3 hours.
