Prudence9 ugh OMG i'm so sorry I have no words.  I'm so sorry you have to stop i know how disappointed u r, but so glad you had the test done!  Have you had a previous pregnancy?  You had a D&C is it leftover from that?  I know you're sad I totally understand but you're protecting your embabies good mama!!  Are you in any pain?

@Prudence9 -my heart hurts for you.  The bright side is that, you're right, it's good that they found it instead of moving forward and being confused/ disappointed it didn't work.  As for the hysteroscopy, I had one last August to remove polyps.  I am shocked that they offered not to fully put you under.  I wasn't given the option--meaning they put my fully under no choice given.  They removed the polyps and "junk" from my uterus (the dr. is funny and said that.)  Also, they discovered that I was born with one ovary...it was an anomaly.  It seems I ovulate every month (I think--at least when they monitored me a few months naturally.)  My solo ovary has always had to do all the work since I never had another...weird!  I suspected maybe I had one when they consistently couldn't find the other during ultrasounds, but sometimes they thought they "saw a piece of it" or my bowel was blocking it, having me always press down on my stomach.  

   Anyway, we are here for you.  You definitely want to put your embryos in an optimal environment, which is why I did the hysteroscopy too.  I suppose some women reject it, but since they recommended it, I thought, well, I might as well wait a few more months so it's optimal.  I was upset too because I was in the middle of stimming, expecting a transfer in August.  What pisses me off is that they saw the polyps for months, but let me continue...then suddenly said they should remove them...made me freeze and wait I think until November to transfer.  There were only a few, and they were small, but they said the one polyp was in a location where the embryo implants, so better to remove.  Makes no sense they didn't have me remove them before starting IVF.  

   Sorry, don't know how this rambling got so long.  I don't want to share my good news in the midst of all of this, but I did hear the heartbeat  My next hurdle is genetic testing during week 16, which is standard, but I can't help but have mixed feelings because I have read some people get false positive.  What do you guys think?

@hopeful_mom the leftovers are probably from the pregnancy that I just had. The only pregnancy I know of. But since I had a procedure similar to d&c called MUA it's very strange that there are leftovers. Another possibility is that I was briefly pregnant when I've done IUI and it's leftovers from that? No way to know for sure. 
And yes, I'm glad we found out. I need to protect my 3 embryos!!! 

@LoveDontCostAThing so exciting that you heard the heartbeat!!! So happy for you! As for genetic testing, are you going for an amnio? Amnio is pretty accurate. But on the down side it's invasive. 

As for hysteroscopy, I also had one done before my first IUI about 4 years ago. It was also to remove polyps and I was also put under. The scheduling person I spoke to today told me that I will be sedated if I chose the local anesthesia. I'm going to talk to an OR nurse on Monday and find out more. 

I know this is a good thing. Because if I went with this FET it would have not ended well. But I'm not getting any younger. I was hoping to have a child before I'm 40 and instead I'm now hoping I can have one before I'm 43. (Turning 42 in few months). 

Going to have a nice drink at home tonite. And put away all the needles...

@Prudence9 -hey, no amnio.  The paper says AFP Tetra.  I googled and it seems to give the probability of downs syndrome, trisomy 18, and open neural tube defects.  They will also screen for cystic fibrosis.  All so scary.

@LoveDontCostAThing I've never heard about this. But just googled it... it does seem like the accuracy is not that high. But maybe if you get a bad result they will recommend a more accurate test?

@LoveDontCostAThing I know your terrified of all the test but all of these are the normal screenings and tests that they do, are they scary 100%  BUT lets be positive and assume that all is perfect with your lil pnut!  You have made it through the first trimester and are already in your 2nd trimester - that deserves celebrating woohoo!!!
As I was reading your other update about polyps it reminds me tat i have a fibroid somewhere in there but they always say that its small and ok...really hope that is the case.  I had the same procedure as you back in aug of 2014.  Assuming since I did get pregnant that it all ok in there.  Thats the hard part about all this crap you just dont know.  the thought of going through another MC is just too much.  I dont want to prolong a transfer but its like I want a double check all is ok in there. Prudence9 I wonder if my RE will agree to do the same test on me...hoping you enjoyed several drinks last night and are taking it easy today!!  Really praying we are both knocked up by the rosh hashanna!! Its so hard thinking like that when my babies should have been here by then.  I was thinking while I was pregnant how i was going to be taking them with me to shul for the holiday and being only 8 weeks maybe...ugh how i hate this process!!

as for the biopsy, since everything came back normal for you, no harm with bringing that up. I'm so happy I've done it. With this piece of whatever I have inside, I wouldn't be able to hold a pregnancy. And it is not something they've seen in an ultrasound 

But just be prepared it is PAINFUL!! But only super painful for few minutes and then painful for another 15 min after the procedure. And that's it. 

I havent got a drink last night as I still done the Lupron injection in the morning so decided to wait one more day. lupron and alcohol don't go well together.

I have to be honest i'm getting a lil nervous after my US today, I'm taking all these extra vitamins and supplements this cycle and yet I wonder if they're hurting instead of helping.  For 3 days of stemming my follies are certainly taking their time growing this cycle so who know if they are normal eggs growing.  I'm gonna put the comparisons for you.

3 days ago Right had 1 at 7, & today was 3 at, 6, 6.5 and 8.  In 3 days of meds the 7 went to an 8...that makes me un easy.
3 days ago Left had 6, 7 and 9.  Today was 6.9, 9.5 and 11.  For 3 days that shows really slow growth.  Looking back at my files I haven't stemmed this slow in a while,  Es went from a 42 to an 88 i think which RE is fine with but makes me a bit uneasy! 

I know its quality over quantity for me BUT if only 2 eggs look ready, thats ALOT of money.  I hate that i have to feel this way already!  It kills my whole mood, I feel so down today.  Here this cycle was suppose to be easy breezy and i feel like its anything but....

@Hopeful_mom sorry to hear they're growing slowly. Did you ask if that is okay? Maybe they need to up one of the injections?

Prudence9 So far the RE doesn't seem to be concerned we shall see what the US says tomorrow and my e2.  I'm already at 600 for meds so theres no where to really up them to.

@prudence9 -how are you?  feeling a little better, I hope.

@hopeful_mom -what is the location of the fibroid?  I will tell you that they said depending on size and location of polyps, you could get pregnant, but then miscarry due to polyps.  It's not always the case...I'm sure plenty of women who aren't doing fertility have polyps and fibroids, get pregnant, and never even know.  I think size and location is probably most important.  Since one polyp was where an embryo implants, they wanted it removed.  Thanks for the positive vibes...you're right that I need to be happy to be in the 2nd trimester!  I am for sure!  Just can't help but worry about the next thing!  As for your follicles, the dr. says your level are normal.  Could it be too much for your body doing 3 cycles in a row?  And remember you have FOUR frozen, perfect embryos.  Yay for that!!!!

@LoveDontCostAThing Is this all too much for my body i'm sure - its actually 4 cycles in a row now so who knows.  When is your next US, I can't wait for that pic, if you dont want to post, pm it to me.  Now it looks like a baby other then the blob at 4 weeks  Once you start this motherhood process the worrying never stops and I think gets even worse with age.  I find a worry about everything and anything!  And back in the day I ever used to.  As for my fibroid it seems way off the side of the screen when they point it out.  In 2014 I had whatever removed so that technically cleared up and questionable areas...and they dont think that was a reason for the MC.  I just hate this roller coaster.  I mentally prepared myself one more cycle so I would just like it to go smoothly.  The scary thing is that it doesn't matter how many you have waiting as anything can go wrong, so its very hard to put all of that out of your mind.

@Prudence9 I am so sorry you have this extra step.  It seems there are a million things that can delay and it is just so frustrating. but it will be so much better if this is something they can fix and it wont cause another MC. So lets hope this solves the issue.

littledarlins i was going to ask how u r.  Ur now just waiting on AF to arrive?  At this point being so off I have no clue when ER will be,  I wouldve thought it would be this week as I started stemming last monday but only having one follie at double digits puts the brakes on everything.

hi ladies -  I had a special treat and my RE did my monitoring today - I mean what a surprise that was!!  I told her I was a bit concerned and she felt like everything was fine as I usually progress late...I just reminded her that I think its a lil later then my usual.  She still saw the 3 on the right but they didn't grow all that much in 2 days all still under 9. This was funny she's not sure if she saw 2 or 3 on the Left.  The 2 on the left grew to 12 and 13.5 so i'm adding the cetritide tonight in hopes the smaller ones can catch up and keep growing with these two.  The big concern is what if they dont!!  My E2 did rise in the 200s now so have to hope on thursday my report will be ever better then that!!  I have a feeling this is going to be my longest stemming cycle!  Hoping all this cooking are making them super strong eggs!

OH and since I was with my RE I asked about retesting some embabies and like I suspected she thinks i'm nuts and said it will be a last resort.

Yes, I am just waiting (waiting , waiting waiting!!!) for AF to come along.  It sure is taking a long time to start!!!

@Hopeful_mom glad your RE is happy with the progress. When is the next u/s?

AFM... yesterday I spoke to a procedure nurse. To get a better understanding of what the non anesthesia hysteroscopy is.... she said they are gonna totally drug me up. 2 types of pain killers orally and then 2 types of pain killers thru the vein. 
With another pain killer on standby if I need it. She said I will have local anesthesia. 

I also heard back back from my RE. I asked her what happens if once she's in, she sees a lot more to remove. Would the fact that I'm not asleep be a problem. She said she doesn't think I have much to remove (how does she know? She didn't even think this was a possibility). But did say that if they do have to remove more, me being asleep would be better. 

Im very conflicted about it. Not sure what to do. I want to get done with it asap. And we might be able to get an appt sooner if I don't get general anesthesia. At the same time, I don't want to need to have another procedure. And don't want to be in too much pain. 

It is better to avoid general anesthesia if possible... plus, she does think it will be okay.

Prudence9 ugh sorry for all the back and forth i know its not an easy choice.  I would want the full anesthesia as i'm a baby am I missing the reason they dont want to?  You have to wait longer for the appt is that it?  I would want to get it over with too ASAP so its a tough call for sure!!  
Maybe your RE can tell its not a lot due to the blood work that came back?

i can have the procedure without general anesthesia in 2 weeks. Or be on the waitlist for it in 2 weeks and 2 days. But I might not get it then. And then will be on the wait list for the following week...

UGH such a tough call!!  if it was full anesthesia and its 2 days i would then just wait the 2 days.  Are we talking alot cheaper?  maybe just go for the sooner appt.  The dont want you moving around as that would make it harder for them so I maybe its not as bad....i'm not helping am i

@Hopeful_mom yeah. If I knew I could get in two days later I would have done it. But I don't know for sure. And to be honest, I just want it done. She hasn't done any blood tests. So her guess that I don't have much more, is only a guess. I hope she's right. Because if not, not doing a general anesthesia would suck. Ahhh. 

Also while I was pregnant I had rapid heartbeat at times. And after the m/c I thought that the b/w will show I have thyroid problem. But it didn't. And I do think that now with the patches I had it again. So I told the doctor and she said I might need to have to get EKG before we can go forward with a transfer. Ahh.

Prudence9 i was going to say i had rapid heartbeat as well during the pregnancy and the RE said its really because I was carrying 2 babies that my body was working harder...of course have the ekg but I would take that into account too.

@hopeful_mom -I can't believe you asked to retest the embryos...that's too funny.  is that even a possibility?  that's good that the dr. did your ultrasound and verified that you're doing well!  I don't get my next ultrasound until around 20 weeks, which I think is the anatomy scan; however, my next appointment is at 18 weeks, so I'm confused about that.  I'll call when it gets closer and ask when the scan is because I want my husband at that one  I can totally post my 11 and 12 week ultrasound pictures, but am I allowed to on this thread?

@Prudence9 -hmmmm I'm a baby to like @hopeful_mom and would wait for the full anesthesia.  If the wait was months long--definitely no, but if it's only a matter of weeks it may be worth it to save yourself the anxiety of potentially needing to do it again.  Also, when you're pregnant my nurse said that it's typical to have a "racing heart."  Your body is working harder and increased blood flow!  Although, an EKG isn't a big deal and better be safe than sorry!  My genetic testing is sometime next week.  I just have to go one day during the 16th week.  I'm not sure when I get results.  I know they will send them to the OB.  I asked when I was there and they weren't very specific, saying they would either call or tell me at next appointment.  I hope I don't have to wait until the end of June for results!

@LoveDontCostAThingso i know i'm jumping ahead BUT you realize 20 weeks is 1/2 way there right?? eeeeekkkkk i'm excited just thinking about that for you!  Now you get treated like everyone else and you dont get as many US boooo.  BUT thats also a good thing meaning all is going great!!  Yea my doc didn't think I was being funny - it is possible to retest embryos.  Its just costly.  You dethaw, re biopsy, and refreeze and hope for the best.  BUT you really think as they say to do PGS that they would want it to come back normal, they really believe its accurate!

AFM: I have to say my US was anything but great this AM - as I was expecting the 2 follies on the left are the only follies really cooperating they had a growth spert and are at 16 and 17, I have the ones on the right at 10 and 11....so its really not looking to great..  Why cant one cycle just go smoothly...I just dont know what i'm doing yet.  My E2 did go up to over 300 so thats good they said.  My RE actually called me as I was wondering what she would suggest.  AND I have to tell you she seemed way more optimistic then me and still felt that the other 2 on the right could still catch up...they're going to need a magical burst tonight so i guess we shall see.  At this point I'll be back to the RE everyday till ER I believe.  Would you all like that cake topper my RE is expecting and its about 4 weeks after i was due.  Meaning she was preggers when I MC.  SO now hopefully I will get preggers and she'll probably be out on maternity leave by then, i mean what are the odds!!!  Shes trying to cover up, not like shes not entitled to a life.  Her clock is ticking too so she needs to listen to all those stats she tells her patients right

So I got my period yesterday which was a surprise as I thought I will get it 3 days after I stop the progesterone. (Today was suppose to be the last day of progesterone). The weird thing about his period is that I'm almost feeling like I have a fever. And feel kinda shitty. Maybe it's because of the progesterone pills that I've been taking... 

Funny that your RE is pregnant. But can you imagine the heartbreak that she sees day to day?

Prudence9 yes she sees heartbreak BUT also not - shes getting this chicks preggers i'm just the one still in waiting  Its good AF is here?  That means you get to move on quicker or no?  Still have to wait for the procedure?

AFM:  seems i'm still in it.  So after some acupuncture and another day on meds the right side has seemed to perk up a bit...I laugh I can count all my follies and have a close personal relationship with all of them   My right now has a 13.5 and 15, left 20.5 and 17.5 SO I'm still doing another day of stems, I dont want to lose the big one BUT last cycle the big one was empty and then the smaller one wasn't mature enough.  I would just like to avoid that and get all 4 This round! My E2 is in the 400 zone so I might almost want to push for 2 more days of meds...but i get the feeling they will want to trigger me tomorrow.  Lets hope the right one will get a nice boost and the left side will just hang out....I ask so much of my body dont i   Back for bw and US in the morning!  Hate having to go every day but gotta do it!

Here's some TMI for you  all my periods in the last few months never really had red blood. It was always brown... I'm glad to announce that the period that started 2-3 days ago now having red blood...  don't know if it means anything... but I am taking it as a good sign. I also have period cramps which I haven't really had since before the pregnancy....

Prudence9 hmmm thats very interesting!!  I wonder if that has to do with whatever was left over from the MC.  Thats so concerning to hear, did you get a date for the procedure?

@LoveDontCostAThing I was thinking of u the other day at my US going over the fibroid again and the tech was showing me how far away it is from the lining for the transfer, like almost off the screen, probably why theyre leaving it at bay.  Its odd my other OB didn't fish it out when I got the removal done 3 yrs ago...

AFM:  After more acupuncture and another day of meds my right side showed some improvements 18,14, left is 19, 20...tech measure differently so hoping that everything is ok still on the left.  This is also the first time i split my meds and only put the gonalf on the right.  At first I was just going to put all the meds on the right but my acupuncturist mentioned gonal f is stronger and to only use that on the side.  HI DOC!!  I've been doing this for how long now maybe you shouldve mentioned that to me at some point.  I'd like to think it helped SO since my prog. is still at bay thank goodness I get to go for one my day of stemming and I believe tomorrow will be my trigger and then ER on monday.  Praying I got 4 nice strong ones to go!!!

Editing to add this question for you ladies:
Trying to figure out my own calendar here hopefully making it to FET after this ER, how long after you get your AF was your transfer?  I believe I'll be doing a medicated cycle.  I've never done BCP before so not sure whether i would be given that or not.  thoughts?

@Prudence9 that is not TMI and i dont know much about the effect on cycles but i would think it is a good sign for your system to be returning to normal?

@Hopeful_mom this is how a medicated FET cycle is for me... 
- start BCP on day 2
- start Lupron injections 6 days before stopping BCP
- stop BCP (this is flexible according to your schedule. But with at least 13 days on it!)
(so say you stop BCP 14 days after you started, you start lupron 6 days before that...)
- period will start 4 days after you stop BCP
- baseline is the following day. (So 5 days after you stop)
if all well at baseline, start with the patches...and continue Lupron
- lining appt 2 weeks later
- FET about 5 days later. 

So from starting BCP to FET it's about 5.5 weeks!

@Prudence9 I wanted to dislike ur last comment, sorry I know it sux BUT it saved your embryo too!  And thats most important!!  thanks for the info...I dont like your protocol, its a long one!  I'm hoping maybe we skip the bcp and i get to transfer sooner...this will be interesting...can't believe I'm looking to finally move on from IVF so odd right 
@littledarlins thanks!  My ER is actually doing my Retrieval, I feel like my eggs were waiting patiently for her as a different RE was on for sun and mon.


AFM: its TRIGGER TIME woo hoo!!!!!!!
Was waiting for my call to post my update as I did have US and bw this morning.  E2 is now 778 so really hoping I should have hopefully a good 4 eggs. My left is still looking good with 20 and 21.5, the right side is still playing tricks on me 18.5, 15 and a 14...a 3rd popped up??? Not sure if it's real I'd be estavtic with 5 for sure but thrilled with 4 too.  Nervous stemming for so long just praying these are some strong ones!!!  If you want to laugh at how I was playing dr, I asked if the dr doesn't want me to take an extra 300gonal f prior to triggering this evening. 

I remember another time they had me take the extra boost prior to triggering.  Since I had one or two still a bit immature and the largest is measuring 21.5, I didn't think it could hurt....and I was going to do it anyway   My nurse was laughing that I now think I'm a dr too, maybe this is my next calling in life

@Hopeful_mom -good luck with your ER!!!  Hope you get 5...at least 4!  it's funny how more follicles randomly pop up.  Too funny you thought of me and your fibroid lol...glad it's all the way off the screen!  Maybe it's new within the past few years when you had the others removed?  Also, I think my FETs were shorter than @Prudence9 ...can't remember exact procedure.  I do remember they are easy cycles with far less monitoring, which is nice.

AFM, I did the genetic testing this morning.  Now I am nervous yet again!  Never ends with the worry and anxiety!  Luckily I asked the blood girl about results and she told me that I can make a log in for labcorp and see my results quicker than probably when I would hear from the doctor.  She said a couple of days--ahhh.  So, I made a log in and will keep checking.

ER is less then 12hrs away now....

So I learned something new today - and didn't even think of asking this question sooner.  This is in regards to my follies and placement.  Apparently I was injecting the wrong side...I swear no one pays attention when I talk WTH!!  I told my acupuncture the size of my follies right and left however I learned today that the machine says right but its really the left and vs versa.  Is that possible I guess didn't think much about it and then I gave the wrong side the extra dosage of med   ugh this process!!!  I guess this means its really working through my blood and getting to the right eggs!  Just annoying for me, as I'm clearly explaining my results BUT I was pointing to the left when saying the left. I feel more confused then before and really hoping I dont have to go through it again!  Looking forward to getting this over with tomorrow!!
Really they are mature and healthy eggs!
