Hello! I got back yesterday! Nice little trip...amazing how much more we did since I can't drink ...usually we just hang by the pool and drink lol. Now, back to reality and working on getting this damn house organized/ ready.

Soooo, today I started watching "Outdaughtered" on TLC on demand. Ever heard of it? They are on season 3 currently, but I just started from season 1. It's about a couple who had trouble conceiving, but after a couple of years doing IUIs, they got pregnant with a girl. A few years later they wanted to give the girl a sibling, so did IUIs again, and it worked quickly...and they got pregnant with quintuplets!!!! FIVE GIRLS!!!!! Apparently, it's only the second time in the world it's happened with all girls. So the show starts when she gives birth. I feel like I find all the fertility-type shows and movies lol...but it's very interesting/ overwhelming...check it out!!!

I don't have a transfer date. I know it will be the week of August 7th. I will know more on the 31st.
Lupron is really kicking my ass this cycle. I'm having constant headaches. And Tylenol is not really helping. And I'm not suppose to take anything other than that. So the nurse at the baseline yesterday told me to take it with coffee. So it will be more like Excedrin Migraine. So I'm now thinking if I should go make a cup of coffee. (It's 9:30pm)... ahhh. Can't wait to be done with it.

@LoveDontCostAThing kind of freaking out right now...exhausted from working just wanted to watch TV and came across outduaghtered on TLC today HA!!! come on how freaking funny is that!!! I ended up being so curious myself that i started google assuming she did IVF and couldn't believe IUI brought her all of this are u kidding me!!! Its just unreal! I might go back and watch from day one I just caught the few episodes they were airing. I agree I like watching things about infertility and I find I have issues with many of it and hate they dont give you the information I want to hear. In the opening of this show they should better explain how we got to the 5 girls, I had to search to find it out AND there is a set of identical twins in there...I find it interesting for sure! DO you RHOC real housewives? The girl is now mother to a girl that went through 1 cycle of IVF because her hubby got a vasectomy and they had to use the vials he put on ice. They ended up with 3 strong girls and 1 fair boy. So they put in one strong girl and the fair boy and the strong girl stuck. Dumb dumb goes and gets a puppy at the same time so she has both to take care of and just complains about how much work it is. I get it fine. Who knows if she really had "infertility issues" but it was more because of the hubby. I was curious how many eggs she got and so on to get to the 4 normal ones, bad story telling! I feel if I had to google the story you're not doing your job! Trust me the 6 girls has to be a handful 100% I can't even imagine!! Just too funny we find it on the same day - lets go play lotto. AND for the record i LOVE animals but dont complain about the work it is to have one when you just had a baby was my point. I wish I had a farm for all the homeless animals to live! Glad you and hubby had a nice time away! hope you'll have an easy time making room for ur lil nugget!

I know your comments here were more to show that this "real housewife" should not have gotten a puppy at this point in her life, but on behalf of my MFI ladies, please know that "infertility issues" are still extremely painful for us, too. I'm still going to need to go through the whole IVF process since we have a 0% chance of conceiving naturally due to MFI. It hurts my heart on a daily basis and I know it hurts my husband, too. I know you weren't trying to throw shade on the MFI families and I certainly cannot pretend to know what it's like for dual-factor households, either. AlohaKumu, by no means did I intend to offend anyone. As you stated, you realized that my post was about the DOG and her complaining. Yes, that's what it was about...her complaining about her choice of taking in a puppy while having a newborn. Did she not think it might be difficult?
That said, I'm not sure which part of my post ruffled your feathers and why you think it had anything to do with MFI. Her husband Jim on the show made the CHOICE to have a vasectomy after having four children with his 2ex wives. Little did he know he would meet Meghan who would want biological children of her own. Lucky for the both of them, he was smart enough to have banked a couple of vials in case he ever changed his mind. Funny how that ended up being the case! So, while yes, it is true Meghan did have to undergo an IVF cycle, she had to since that was the only way she could have a biological child with Jim. She knew she was going to need ivf with icsi because there is a limited amount of his sperm available. This is NOT MFI. His choice of having a procedure to stop his sperm from being able to ejaculate out of his body is not a male factor infertility issue.
How's about being with a guy for three years only to find out they have the Bi lateral absence of the vas deferens. That's a real MFI problem. After a TESE procedure...nada, nothing. When you have to consider using donor sperm because there is no alternative, then you're really in MFI land.
What's also interesting given Meghan's situation is that she didn't have to go through the disappointment month after month of getting her period and crying because she wasn't pregnant. She knew she couldn't get pregnant naturally. She didn't have to go through iui after iui praying that the sperm would find the right follicle only to be disappointed that they didn't do their job. Again, she knew that's not how she was getting pregnant. So, for women who have been on this disappointing journey...factoring in a pregnancy that ended up in miscarriage... I don't think Meghan has been through the ringer. Is a month of injections tough? Sure. Is retrieval a process? Sure. But, considering she did a month of ivf which resulted in a healthy baby girl...I'd say she is one of the lucky ones. I'm happy for her but don't feel like she should be complaining all that much when there are many of us that have truly endured the trials and tribulations of infertility whether it is based on the female or the male factor. Do you see the difference? There is a huge discrepancy between the two.
@LoveDontCostAThing My apologies if my earlier post in anyway offended you as it did to alhoakuma, especially considering you do have MFI issues. My post was so about taking in the puppy which requires such demands at the same time of meeting the demands of a new born. Its hard watching someone complain about those things when she's actually lucky enough to have had success. You will certainly have your hands full even with your older fur babies in tight quarters, but I see you managing it fabulously!

Did I mention how much I hate the Lupron needle? Today it took good 10 seconds to get it in!! Not sure why they don't make these tiny needles a little sharper!

Prudence9 is it the smaller 10ml needle? I used those for the microdose lupron and they are AWFUL!! I thought the same thing as well! Did you get a date yet? or first when AF starts?

@hopeful_mom -so weird that you stumbled upon outdaughtered! not sure if you saw the first episode, but they did explain that they did IUIs. they had to do lots of them for their first baby, but I think only a couple for the quints. I think it's crazy that five resulted from an IUI too!!! I thought that doctors canceled cycles when too many follicles to avoid multiples! I don't watch real housewives, but you didn't offend me. I understand what you're saying, and I don't think their situation is the same as MFI because it was his choice. It was unfortunate for Meghan, but it all worked out. Also, if she wanted a baby so bad, then she shouldn't complain about a puppy and a baby. These were her choices. My two fur babies are soooo much work and soooooo spoiled. I am also worried about one of them with a baby because he has snapped at toddlers before. I might have to hire a trainer. I already have him on anxiety meds. He's my first baby, and I need him to behave for my new baby! I'm nervous!

Prudence9@LoveDontCostAThing so I was wondering about my other embaby in waiting and I just found out that it "survived nicely" (to go for testing) ahhhhh how great if that could be a normie for me At least it made it through one hurdle right! It was fun to get a lil glimmer of hope today!!
@LoveDontCostAThing I definitely will watch the first episode to get the info. You would think with the googling I did I wouldve found ore but its all about the show and so on. I'm AMAZED an IUI brought her all that its just amazing! I was suppose to do an IUI with 3 wouldn't that have been exciting to work!! i wish it did I'm curious of the "what she did different for that cycle" I'm sure everyone has that same question. Her eggs were just spot on that cycle or was it the hubby that had better quality sperm. You went straight to IVF never tried an IUI right? Its tricky on an IUI board gosh over a year ago I think a girl got her BFP through an IUI and her DH had a sample of like 2-3mil and it worked....like they say it really only takes one

Prudence9 yep its the 3rd that came back inconclusive with no DNA and they didn't suggest I test it. But you know me, but now I need to know as much as i can!! It would be such a great story - come on normie!!! It's exciting how close you are!!!! Maybe I'll have an ER around the same time

Anyhoo I had then send it in with another batch going so I could save a lil on the shipping cost for the re-testing on it...no need to wait at this point, I rather know asap! My appt this weekend will probably show if I can start priming and I would assume my AF should show up in another week would be my guess so hoping that will be the case and I can get this show on the road

Prudence9 you know whats so odd I get no notifications from the bump ever...which i have adjust in my settings but yet nada. Hope you're having a good weekend. I feel like I couldn't sleep through the night at all and all I want to do is sleep, sleep, sleep the day away!!! The results are in my embaby is NORMAL, i got my normie from cycle 7 - I couldn't have asked for anything better...I'd love to take back all the extra hours of crying and sleepless nights...but finally some good news. @Prudence9- hey, I am doing well! Thanks for checking in How are you doing? Do you have your transfer date?? I have an OB appointment tomorrow where they check heartbeat and my urine...maybe measurement? They're quick appointments. I wish there was an ultrasound everytime! I've been working hard to clear the spare bedroom...probably doing too much because I also work 3 days a week during the summer (I'm a teacher.) So much to do!!!!

I've been on Lupron for over 3 weeks now. And on estrogen patches for about 1.5 weeks.
Lupron suppose to prevent ovulation. And so I wasn't expecting to see TMI white vaginal discharge... am I about to ovulate? Or is it just because of the estrogen?

Prudence9 hmmmmmm I'm not sure...that happened once or twice before i had my trigger and thought i ovulated prior...but I didn't. Couldn't hurt to call and ask as a precaution.

Soooo, today I started watching "Outdaughtered" on TLC on demand. Ever heard of it? They are on season 3 currently, but I just started from season 1. It's about a couple who had trouble conceiving, but after a couple of years doing IUIs, they got pregnant with a girl. A few years later they wanted to give the girl a sibling, so did IUIs again, and it worked quickly...and they got pregnant with quintuplets!!!! FIVE GIRLS!!!!! Apparently, it's only the second time in the world it's happened with all girls. So the show starts when she gives birth. I feel like I find all the fertility-type shows and movies lol...but it's very interesting/ overwhelming...check it out!!!

Lupron is really kicking my ass this cycle. I'm having constant headaches. And Tylenol is not really helping. And I'm not suppose to take anything other than that. So the nurse at the baseline yesterday told me to take it with coffee. So it will be more like Excedrin Migraine. So I'm now thinking if I should go make a cup of coffee. (It's 9:30pm)... ahhh. Can't wait to be done with it.

Hi, @Hopeful_mom. I know your comments here were more to show that this "real housewife" should not have gotten a puppy at this point in her life, but on behalf of my MFI ladies, please know that "infertility issues" are still extremely painful for us, too. I'm still going to need to go through the whole IVF process since we have a 0% chance of conceiving naturally due to MFI. It hurts my heart on a daily basis and I know it hurts my husband, too. I know you weren't trying to throw shade on the MFI families and I certainly cannot pretend to know what it's like for dual-factor households, either. AlohaKumu, by no means did I intend to offend anyone. As you stated, you realized that my post was about the DOG and her complaining. Yes, that's what it was about...her complaining about her choice of taking in a puppy while having a newborn. Did she not think it might be difficult?
That said, I'm not sure which part of my post ruffled your feathers and why you think it had anything to do with MFI. Her husband Jim on the show made the CHOICE to have a vasectomy after having four children with his 2ex wives. Little did he know he would meet Meghan who would want biological children of her own. Lucky for the both of them, he was smart enough to have banked a couple of vials in case he ever changed his mind. Funny how that ended up being the case! So, while yes, it is true Meghan did have to undergo an IVF cycle, she had to since that was the only way she could have a biological child with Jim. She knew she was going to need ivf with icsi because there is a limited amount of his sperm available. This is NOT MFI. His choice of having a procedure to stop his sperm from being able to ejaculate out of his body is not a male factor infertility issue.
How's about being with a guy for three years only to find out they have the Bi lateral absence of the vas deferens. That's a real MFI problem. After a TESE procedure...nada, nothing. When you have to consider using donor sperm because there is no alternative, then you're really in MFI land.
What's also interesting given Meghan's situation is that she didn't have to go through the disappointment month after month of getting her period and crying because she wasn't pregnant. She knew she couldn't get pregnant naturally. She didn't have to go through iui after iui praying that the sperm would find the right follicle only to be disappointed that they didn't do their job. Again, she knew that's not how she was getting pregnant. So, for women who have been on this disappointing journey...factoring in a pregnancy that ended up in miscarriage... I don't think Meghan has been through the ringer. Is a month of injections tough? Sure. Is retrieval a process? Sure. But, considering she did a month of ivf which resulted in a healthy baby girl...I'd say she is one of the lucky ones. I'm happy for her but don't feel like she should be complaining all that much when there are many of us that have truly endured the trials and tribulations of infertility whether it is based on the female or the male factor. Do you see the difference? There is a huge discrepancy between the two.
@LoveDontCostAThing My apologies if my earlier post in anyway offended you as it did to alhoakuma, especially considering you do have MFI issues. My post was so about taking in the puppy which requires such demands at the same time of meeting the demands of a new born. Its hard watching someone complain about those things when she's actually lucky enough to have had success. You will certainly have your hands full even with your older fur babies in tight quarters, but I see you managing it fabulously!

@hopeful_mom -so weird that you stumbled upon outdaughtered! not sure if you saw the first episode, but they did explain that they did IUIs. they had to do lots of them for their first baby, but I think only a couple for the quints. I think it's crazy that five resulted from an IUI too!!! I thought that doctors canceled cycles when too many follicles to avoid multiples! I don't watch real housewives, but you didn't offend me. I understand what you're saying, and I don't think their situation is the same as MFI because it was his choice. It was unfortunate for Meghan, but it all worked out. Also, if she wanted a baby so bad, then she shouldn't complain about a puppy and a baby. These were her choices. My two fur babies are soooo much work and soooooo spoiled. I am also worried about one of them with a baby because he has snapped at toddlers before. I might have to hire a trainer. I already have him on anxiety meds. He's my first baby, and I need him to behave for my new baby! I'm nervous!

I've been on Lupron for over 3 weeks now. And on estrogen patches for about 1.5 weeks.
Lupron suppose to prevent ovulation. And so I wasn't expecting to see TMI white vaginal discharge... am I about to ovulate? Or is it just because of the estrogen?
