Our stolen credit card was used to buy McDonalds at several different locations.
Book club people, I'm going to fail. I'm sorry. I kept putting off starting it because it sounded so sad, and now that I'm away on my work training trip I've barely had time to breathe. Please forgive me @PerraSucia. I'll do better in October.
Started watching Shameless the other day and I'm sucked in. Can't stop watching. Frank is the absolute WORST.
I've been binging Shameless and they just put the latest two seasons on Netflix. I have a love/hate relationship. It's so good but it also makes me cry. But, it's so good.
I got Cracker Barrel and a MacBook pro today. I'd say it has been a pretty successful day. My old PC was a dinosaur so I can now finally leave my husband's computer alone and he can play his video games in peace.
Our Halloween costumes came in yesterday. H is woody and I'm buzz. DD will be Jessie but hers hasn't come in yet. She keeps asking us to wear them around the house and I'm regretting showing it to her so soon.
@PerraSucia top cabinet, bottom tiles, carrara countertop if you are really good about wiping things up. We are not and I would love white marble tops but they would get etched so quickly.
I feel like Jennifer Anniston is so over rated. She can't play any role that isn't basically a modified Rachel, and I don't think she's pretty. They did her dirty, for sure, but I love Angelina even though she's crazy.
Ok so I'm leaving for Disney World this weekend. We are taking our 3yr old for the 1st time. Well I booked the trip before I was pregnant and now I'll be 19 weeks when we go. I've looked at all the rides that say you shouldn't ride if pregnant and I'll obviously avoid things like major roller coaster and Tower of Terror, but do I really have to avoid the Speedway cars that you get to drive in Magic Kingdom and the water raft ride in Animal Kingdom??? Those are some of my favorites. I have already spoke to my dr and he didn't really go into detail about what I should or shouldn't do so I was hoping maybe some of you ladies have been to Disney while pregnant.
So this is a Random Bitchfest. I have epilepsy. It's very well controlled; I've only had one stereotypical seizure (with visible twitching and unconsciousness). Those are called grand mal or tonic clonic seizures. Had one 6 years ago while driving, started medication, been 100% controlled for over 5 years now. During the first 6 months I had the occasional 'breakthrough' seizure, or simple partial, which honestly is more like a hallucinatory trip than anything. They are even enjoyable as they happen.
I've successfully decreased my dose over the years from 1500mg to 500mg. It's been so well controlled for so long, I was beginning to think I might be able to try going medication-free after the birth.
I had a breakthrough seizure last night, a fairly intense one. I have a 1-5 pt rating, and this was a 3. My opinion on this:
and then today I had another, a 2 pointer. I knew this was possible, something like 30% of pregnant epileptics have an increase in activity and must increase their dose. But GRRR!!
@jstringfellow19 I was just there but I didn't do either of those rides. I guess the main concern over the speedway is if someone rams into the back of you ? I haven't been to animal kingdom since I was very young so not sure about the other. Sorry I can't help more but have funnnn!
@jstringfellow19 I've never been to Disney so I'm not sure what the rides are like, but I did go to am amusement park while pregnant with my son. I was told I was only allowed to ride gentle water rides (think lazy river rafts with no major drops or bounces) and the merry-go-round. It was somewhat boring to me to watch everyone else ride the rides, and I think I'm the oldest person to ever say ooooo let's do the merry-go-round again. Lol but I hope you find things you can do there and have fun!!
@Lafreeman21 I'm sorry the seizures have picked up recently. That must be scary, especially during pregnancy. I'm sure you're bummed about needing to increase the med doasage, but maybe after pregnancy everything will go back to how it was before?
@jstringfellow19 My family booked a trip to Disney before we got our BFP and we were supposed to go with them. When we found out I was pregnant, I called Disney to ask about the rides and why almost everything said to not ride if pregnant. The woman was really nice and explained that even on the gentle rides, there is a liability risk for pregnant women. For example if the ride breaks down and something happens where you would need to get off, or if something happened later on in your pregnancy that Disney doesn't want to be sued for, etc. Basically she just told me that Disney doesn't want to be held accountable for saying "This ride is safe for pregnant women!"..just in case anything bad happened. She said it's a "Ride at your own risk" situation.
I would have gone on the really slow rides (no tower of terror or splash mountain or rock n' roller coaster), and just judged it on a case by case basis. But now we aren't going at all (it's next month). OB highly advised against going to Orlando because of Zika. And I'm cool with that.
I hope you're able to still have fun though!!
I don't love Jeninfer Anniston as an actress and I don't know what she's like as a person but I felt so badly for her over what happened. What Angelina said about her after was horrible and what Brad did was obviously horrible. And the rumours spread about her not wanting kids so somehow that made it ok for Brad to cheat, awful.
I am sorry for the kids involved but I am glad their 'happy' marriage is done. I am glad their "true love" that couldn't wait for a divorce is over. I should feel badly about feeling this way but I just don't.
@srscott3 Thank you! I plan to take it easy. My mom is a nurse and is going so if she doesn't think I should go on something I won't. I Iive in the south and Zika is a threat in my own backyard so i just wear bug spray regardless. My OB didn't even say anything about it. I guess that's because of where we are at already maybe.
My hubby is in nesting mode. We found out we're having a girl and now all of a sudden, nothing in our house is good enough for a little girl! I love how his brain works! Haha! This is not our first child, but apparently a girl is a game changer!
