My doctor encouraged two baths a day if I want with no soaps. She said it would give me major relief from the hemorrhoids. Took one last night and it was amazing. I would call to see.
I gave birth on Thursday morning super early and still haven't pooped. I'm eating fiber rich food and taking a stool softener. Not sure what to do because that seems like too long. How long did it take for y'all?
@LWC1112 It took me 4 days for my first BM. I was extremely constipated the whole pregnancy and on oxycodone though. I seriously can't wait for my digestive system to get back to normal.

10/2017: Twins confirmed with TTTS at 22 weeks. 10/10/17 Twin B passed after in utero placenta surgery 11/2/17 Twin A & B born 11/26/17: Twin A passed after 24 days fighting in the NICU Benched 6 months BFP: 6/28/18 MC:7/16/18 BO BFP: 10/2/18 EDD 6/15/18
So I'm extremely constipated thank you oxycodone. Boo. I am having the worst cramps, but can only poop out little tiny pebbled/nuggets. And it feels like there is so much more in there. It takes a lot of effort just to get like one out. I'm so frustrated and feel awful. I know a lot of it has to do with the pain meds I was on, but also how swollen I am from a 4th degree tear down there. I have tried milk of magnesia, a little miralax yesterday, am taking 400 mg of stool softener and drinking tons of water. Any advice?
Signed, An extremely miserable mom who just wants to poop.
I finally turned to a suppository on day 4 or 5 and it worked wonders.
Thanks @mfuller76 and @midwestbaby that makes me feel better. I'm sure it will happen soon, just wasn't sure how long until I needed to worry.
They had me taking everything you are plus gas-x at the hospital. Have you tried that?
I just got so dang tired of waiting and was hurting from gas pain/not going that the suppository sounded like the better relief so I asked for it--the nurse wasn't pushing it.
@midwestbaby I've had major constipation issues all of my life, I found that 400mg-800mg of magnesium oxide helps! Milk of mag never worked for me oddly enough but the magnesium oxide did. It's basically just a magnesium supplement but you might ask your doc if you can try it!
4 weeks pp and I'm still bleeding! It's not much, reminds me of the last day of my period, but still. It's annoying and I'm so sick of wearing pads/liners. My first two kids the bleeding didn't last this long. I've been thinking for 2 or 3 weeks I'll wake up and it will be gone, but no such luck!
Anyone having a lot of headaches or migraines now?? I take motrin twice a day for the back pain and pain from the stitches, and it doesn't help with my headaches at all. I've had one for two days now.
I will say before this pregnancy I had chronic migraines and I was taking fioricet. Is it possible they've come back already???

I've struggled with migraines on and off since having my first child. While pregnant with her u got migrainesso bad I was on vicodin. I had them often after she was born, one time ended up on steroids from brain swelling. I suffered with them during my 2nd pregnancy too, and was on fioricet. After he was born they were nearly non existent. I expected them to come back during this pregnancy, but they never did. I got and get them occasionally, but nothing like I used to. So far pp my headaches have been controlled with ibuprofen. But I realized they are happening because of neck and back pain from poor posture while nursing. So I've been seeing my chiropractor and feel much better. Try seeing one if it's possible they are caused by something physical. But it's entirely possible they could be back already hope you are able to get them under control!
@Stephanie7693 I'll call around in the morning to set something up. In the mean time I will ask for a refill on my fioricet. I hope they haven't come back so quickly, I've been suffering with these since I was 12. They suck so much!!!
I still have to find better nursing positions right now I'm struggling... I just go with the flow however he's comfortable (because of his arm) plus he gets kind of wild, snorting and moving his face all around only to come right back to the nipple to drink. I'm guessing that's normal.
Anyone have bright red bleeding start up? I was pad-free for about a week and yesterday started bright red bleeding. I am close to 4 weeks PP and LO is EBF.
@bsckgb7 Just yesterday at 3 weeks pp I started bleeding red again with a few little clots. It freaked me out, but my disharge paperwork says to call if I fill one or more pads in an hour. I'm filling almost fully a pad in 2-3 hours, so I'm hoping that means it's okay. Going to call tomorrow.
@allishally13 - good luck!! I'm gonna be pissed if it's my period already!! I'm calling too, mine is not 1 pad an hour either, but definitely pretty heavy like yours.

This morning I woke up to pretty bad cramping... almost like I'm getting my period or ovulating. I stopped bleeding at about 3 - 3.5 weeks pp and am now 5 weeks pp (tomorrow). I am exclusively breastfeeding/pumping. I'm not currently bleeding but have had some liquid/discharge. Anyone else experience anything like this??
My bleeding slowed back down and I'm feeling back to normal- I'm thinking I was doing too much and need to try to take it easy more. Going to keep an eye on it today and call if it gets worse again!
My bleeding lightened up at 4 wks PP but randomly I'd have bright red blood on my pantyliner (never enough to fill a pad). It wasn't until week 5 that I only had light discharge and completely stopped by the end of week 6.

I haven't tried it. I actually finally went so am feeling a ton of relief. Hoping things start to regulate so I'm not so gassy.

With DD I had the bleeding mostly stop around 4 weeks and then start up again the next week. I thought it was my period coming back, but I didn't get them back until 4 months pp. I think it was just from over exerting myself.

I didn't have cramping but bleeding at 6 weeks which I'm pretty sure was my period. I'm tracking to see if and when it comes again in 2 weeks. I'm all exclusively pumping.
Lol! @AliKay20 there really is nothing glamorous about postpartum. I feel like it happens to me when I try and go to the bathroom. But then again who knows what the heck is going on down there.

So this evening I told DH for us to take a walk with all three kiddos down to the dollar tree (since it's not very far from us). You know to get a little walk in. I had DD it the Moby and was holding my 5 year olds hand and had my other hand by babies head. DH had DS2. As walking down the aisle two boys where running around and whoosh I almost fell down because there was what seemed to be bubbles all over the floor. Thank god I balanced myself but could feel my foot wanting to give from the slipperiness. I let go of my 5yr old since he hadn't stepped in the bubble mess. Called for DH ASAP so he could grab my hand and I could step out of my sandals and get my balance back.
I was so grateful I didn't fall because I had our newborn on me but man the jolt really hurt my pelvic area Trying to take it easy now.
We went to target today and for a walk down to the park for DD to play. I must have pushed it too much because I had the worst cramps tonight after pumping (I was so engorged it felt like my boobs were going to explode). Of course LO decided to be hungry in the middle of them and DH was upstairs with his phone turned off. I had really mild cramps pp for two days and wasn't expecting these cramps at all at 5 days pp. I'm kind of glad DH didn't answer his phone because I was in so much pain I was going to have him put the pumped milk in a bottle and feed LO, but I ended up making it through the feeding. It really scared DH though once he came downstairs and saw how much pain I was in. Luckily they seem to have subsided. I've learned my lesson and will be taking it a lot easier.
And my postpartum night chills/sweats have arrived. I woke up twice covered in sweat from shaking so violently from chills. Showering at night is now a complete waste.
No More Miss! Do you have a nursing pillow or a couple of regular pillows you can lay LO on to bring them up higher to eat so you don't have to hold the head? I use the boppy and cross my legs under it or use another pillow below it across my lap and it brings C up to where I don't have to hold his head.
@AliKay20 I never weight myself before going to the bathroom. But I also wait until my hair is dry, I have absolutely no clothes on, and I've gotten every last drop of pee out

What does one do when you're staying at home all day? Yep. I googled it bc I couldn't ignore it anymore. It's now week 7 too long.
Apparently, it's not just me bc when I googled it (don't know what that second link is all about just yet):
There is nothing glamourous about postpartum, is there?

Ouch. Anyone else?
My left is worse than my right. They ache the most when I wake up in the morning. I can barely make a fist.
