Congrats @AliKay20, she is adorable and I love the name!
With the birth of another baby it finally motivated me to get the car seat out of storage. I thought our bouncer was in there as well but apparently I sold that and the swing was in there. It's a tiny swing so we wouldn't have reused it anyway but now I feel like I need a bouncer.
It's like somewhere in between a rock n play and a bouncer. Of course we haven't used it yet, but it seems like a cool concept. You can shift it between flat and sitting without removing baby too.
There are a lot, but the one is saw was on a good morning America post from April I think? It's a list of trending names, not the top names. Ezra is #1 for boys on it, and Levi #8. Crazy! Although I wonder how they come up with these lists
@Katm89 really? It's a boy name in the bible. I've never met one though, just my friends baby. My baby's name will be Levi. I only know of one, and he's 5. My husband has only met one other person named levi. I'm just surprised either of those names are making any lists!

That's crazy! Nearly 6 years ago when I named my son Levi, it was in the 130's! I had only met one other Levi in all of my life. Same with my 8 year old. He's name wasn't even on the lists when we had him and now it's in the top 20! Oh well.
@Mfuller76 it's still going! Everything is moved in, but the unpacking continues... We hated our old place, but the one good thing was there was a TON of storage space (full attic and basement). This place has basically none, except a small garage space and an extra closet, so we are struggling with where to put a lot of stuff. It will definitely take us a little while to get everything settled. Are you all unpacked? All of our other moves, I unpacked in just a couple of days, but this time, I'm struggling!

They go off the list of names registered to the social security department. So it's the "official" list.
Just an update: Doctor called this morning and I do not have cholestasis, just PUPPS. AND!! I found something that mostly helps with the itching, so Ive gotten some relief. @AliKay20 Beautiful baby!!! Congratulations!
Had my 32 week appointment today (even though tomorrow will be 33 weeks for me). They estimate that my baby is already 5lb 3oz. Eeek! That is pretty big, isn't it? For a kid with 7 weeks to go that puts him in at around 9lbs. He also has a big head. This is making me nervous for delivery. The epidural is sounding pretty good to me at this point, but I also want to ask about inducement options -- like if he gets up to a certain size, will they recommend inducing? I was born two weeks late, and this baby will be huge if he comes that late! My doc was in a delivery today so I saw an NP, so I'll have to ask my doctor next time.
@Snaps816.. if they think he's big they might give you the option to induce at 39 or 40 weeks. But theyight not. My first baby was born early, and small as she was, her head was in the 90th percentile! I had an epidural with her, but it didn't work so I felt everything.
@Snaps816 I had an ultrasound last week at 33w 1d and baby is measuring in around 5lbs 12ozs. He's also measuring around 36 weeks in every category(weight, head size, arm/leg size). I don't see my doctor till Monday so I'm nervous as to what he is going to say about it. I also have GD but it's completely diet controlled.
They may reccomend inducing at you around 39 weeks or so but I also know that size is just an estimate that can be very wrong. I think it just depends on your doctor.
@Curls919... this list wasn't the ss list of top names, that list shows Ezra and Levi a little ways down, not even in the top 20 I don't think. I dont know how they come up with the trending ones, and that's what I was looking at.
@lotsofsunshine... you picked a great name! Lol I love it too my 6 year olds name is now making lists too. He's James. It's nothing usual, but it was not anywhere near popular in recent decades up until recently. I'm going to blame Blake and Ryan Reynolds for that though. I've only met one other kid named James since I've had my son. All the others I know are in thier 30s or older
@Snaps816 - Over here, Baby was 7 lb 7 oz at my 35 week sono, and I have a C-section scheduled for other reasons at 39 weeks. The doctor did say she'd be concerned about me going past 40 if we didn't have the C-section scheduled, but she was mainly just like "omg where are you hiding this massive baby" because the bump measured at 35 weeks.
My cousin sent my dad with a huge black garbage bag full of little boy clothes, socks, bibs, and receiving blankets. It's safe to say we don't need any clothes at all for a while! Some of them weren't even worn. I'm so thankful for hand me downs!
@Lynnlove28 hand me downs are awesome! We got boxes and bags of baby boy clothes for this baby from my mom's friend. Baby's drawers were full without spending a penny! Only bought a couple cute outfits and sleepsacks.
Can there be a separate labor thread for labor updates? I HAAAATE the symptoms thread and had to go through AliKay's profile to even find why people know she's having a baby today.
Lol, okay, so not gonna lie. I totally dropped the ball in finding the Labor thread to post my progress updates. Knowing I posted my latest symptom as "I think my water broke," I just continued on that Symptoms thread for continuum purpose. But let's just chuck it up to "labor brain," as I was seriously bumping throughout the night while the whole world seemed asleep (including DH).
I am actually glad to remember our labor thread exists for these stories more to come by y'all!
A terrible storm rolled through and we lost power. I was checking the outages with our power company, it's been out for almost 2 hours, 11,000+ people are out of power in my county and there is not currently an estimated time for when it'll be back on. Cue the whiny pregnant bitching because it's like 80 degrees in my house right now.

No, no, nooooo. Stay strong...I am seriously feeling so bad for you. Ahhhhh!!

Thanks everyone. There are a few hotels close by but I managed to get DD to sleep so as long as she stays asleep we will probably just tough it out. I just want an estimated time or something!
Our AC stopped working yesterday. The guy came today and he has to order parts before it can be fixed. So we'll be without AC to most of our house (the master is on its own unit since it was an extention). So I feel ya, @Lynnlove28. It was 80 in our house this afternoon on the main thermostat but DS's room was 84 according to his monitor thermometer! He is currently sleeping on an air mattress on our bedroom floor. I hope it's not too hot tomorrow since we're home all day. And top it off, DS is sick (fever, swollen tonsils, but not strep) so it's not like we can get him out of the house and into AC.
@Curls919 bless your heart! The power came back on around 11:30 so it's starting to cool down. I couldn't imagine.
On an unrelated note, once our bedroom light came on I noticed a huge spider in the corner. It was a freaking wolf spider! I feel like I need to deep clean our house even more than I already have now!

I had one of those in my house the other day! Terrifying!
@Lynnlove28@midwestbaby Yeah when I got on and saw that someone else had posted in the announcement thread I got all excited and then when I saw what it was I was super disappointed and annoyed - hence the response.
I started having contractions on and off yesterday all during work and then went to get my step son I was 20mins away from home when I had to pull over because they got so intense I started running out of breath and felt nauseous and started getting light headed than a cop pulled up asked me if I was OK I told him no and paramedics came and took me to the hospital I was having contractions every 3mins on the way there to hospital and then they took me to monitor baby and they had to give me some shot to slow down my contractions after seeing I dilated 1cm and kept tracking me I was in tears because I am not ready and all I could think off was God help me because Idk what is going to happen and this is my first baby please help me that's all I can think off and I have step son with me until my mom came and got him then I got mad because my mom starts to call my cousin and his girlfriend after I told her I don't want anyone there was frustrated and scared but I had to calm down because that could trigger to something not so good, and they came by and then doctor said contractions were slowing down and they checked to see if my water broke but everything was good I got an IV and they watched me and then told me your good to go since I only had one contraction after shot kicked in. I am home but need to take it easy so this baby can keep cooking longer.
@Allisun85 Its called Mother's Special Blend (yellow label). Its an oil my OB used on her stomach when she was pregnant. I just slathered it EVERYWHERE and really massaged it in after I took a shower. I found it at Natural Grocers in the baby food aisle of all places, but if you dont have one of those, I know you can get it on Amazon. Hope it helps if you try it. It hasnt taken all the itchiness away, but Im not nearly as miserable. Has anyone heard from @texasmama2014? Havent seen her name pop up in a few days.

@Curls919 ugh that sounds awful! I hope your DS feels better soon and your AC gets fixed! A sick kid is a job in itself, let alone being pregnant and sweating on top of it!
