@BrunetteBabe722 Have you gotten on all fours with your butt up in the air ( like you are going to have doggie style sex lol) and rock back and forth... This happened to me the other day when baby's hiccups started showing up near my belly button and I felt baby wiggle back into place. Worth a try! How far along are you?
@Bookhousegirl The move went smoothly and is done, thanks! I definitely went into "throw everything in random boxes" mode at the end, but it's all good. I used different color duct tape on most of the boxes so the movers would at least put them in the right rooms - zebra in the kitchen, blue in the master bedroom, etc. - and didn't worry about labeling contents. Are you almost done packing? Try to take it easy and not to overdo it... although that's easier said than done!
So smart to color code. We moved for work, so we used our moving allowances to have the movers pack for us and they didn't label anything but packed everything including garbage cans full of trash.

Just in case anyone needs an extra dose of cuteness this morning go check out the July HDBD thread for all the newborn/baby pictures. I can't wait until that's what our HDBD thread consists of.
Ive been lurking July like crazy checking out the birth announcements(how on earth is this the last month before it's our turn!?) and I've also been lurking September to make myself not feel so bad about how much longer I have to be pregnant(sorry any S16 lurkers).
Oh and also, my MIL is driving me absolutely crazy today. With our move, we asked is she wanted to take DS for ONE night. But of course, she demanded more time, saying she wanted him through the weekend - which is absolutely nuts! 2 nights is the max I'll have him spend away so far. Anyway, DH called and told her we would let him stay for 2 nights, as long as she didn't get him until after dinner tonight, and brought him back first thing Friday. He's been off with all the changes, so I don't want him gone for very long. She freaked out, saying she has already made plans for all day today, tomorrow and Friday. Umm, last we talked we were still saying one night, so I'm not sure why you made all these plans?! I just can't stand the entitlement she has about it, he's our kid, yet somehow we're supposed to feel obligated to give him to her whenever she wants for however long she wants. UGH!
@Bookhousegirl I'm sorry your MIL is driving you nuts. I keep having this fear that with my family visiting for a week after the birth that I will pop out my kid and never get to hold my own baby... which is insane bec I will need to breastfeed so duh I will be holding the baby all the time haha. How old is your son?
@Lynnlove28 I lurk the July announcements too. I really like reading the birth stories.
@Bookhousegirl That is so frustrating about your MIL. It's like everything you said went in one ear and out the other. Makes me kind of dread the future with mine, but it will more likely be my mom. My MIL likes to pick and choose what she hears from us too. It's like...I'm sorry..were we having the same conversation?
Had my 36 week appt today and I'm dilated! Yay!! Not quite a 1 but I'll still take it! Also got a prescription for ambien, which apparently can be addictive, even for baby, so I don't know if I even want to take it. But I'm glad I got some good news to help get me through the next week
Ambien can be kinda scary--if you don't quite fall asleep all the way, you can sleep eat, sleep walk, sleep talk, etc. Doesn't sound that restful to me!
Married May 2014 DD born August 2016 Baby #2 due December 2017
@Katm89 I was having a lot of pressure and cramping yesterday so I sat in that position because it was the only thing that sort of relieved it. I think the lump I'm feeling might be his butt (FX) he just had the hiccups again and this time they were low and internal like usual but on my right side so I'm thinking he flipped horizontally. Before his back and butt were on my left and feet on my right now I think his butt and back are on my right and feet are on my left HOPEFULLY!
Weird odd ball question. Have you ladies heard what sounds like baby's joints popping? I've heard it a few times now. I'll be sitting still and baby is moving around them I hear a muffled pop almost like a joint popping but it's not any of mine. It freaks me out because I'm not definetly sure what the sound is.
Last night I went on Pinterest to find some new recipes then I eventually ended up pinning some ideas for the nursery. Afterwards I went on Facebook and realized that every single thing I pinned had posted on my wall. What the heck Pinterest!!! I couldn't find the settings to make it stop so I just signed in differently.
I'm just glad it wasn't anything more personal than food recipes!
@BrunetteBabe722 I feel like my baby flips sides like that all the time... FX for both of us because today at lunch baby had hiccups that were higher... lets keep those heads down lol
@StarLiteKiss I'm also going in twice a week, but will probably deliver at 38 weeks (three weeks from tomorrow). Between those visits, blood draws the chiro and now a liver ultrasound tomorrow, I feel like all I'm doing is going to appointments! And I just started a new role at my company yesterday so work is very busy!
@Katm89 my DS is just over 2. I was actually worried about the same thing when DS was born, but I ended up being very grateful for a break, because, like you said, with breastfeeding, you're holding them basically 24/7.
@Hannah0726 it has been an intense process of trying to get my MIL to respect our decisions, especially since DS was born. Everytime we seem to make progress, we end up taking 2 steps backward. Hope yours is a bit more receptive!
@texasmama2014 For your sake, I really hope not! I tell myself all the time, especially now that I'm having my second boy, she's teaching me everything not to do as a MIL.

I do the same exact thing! I really can't believe we are next. I remember when our month was the newest in the community and I felt funny about posting bc my pregnancy was early.
I cant ant wait for birth announcements. My EDD is the 25th so I will be watching with envy.

Stuck in the box - YES!!! I think it's so funny! Never heard this with DD'
My random for the week: my feet and hands are so swollen (haven't worn my wedding ring in weeks), my hair is a gigantic frizzball, heartburn is out of control, my pelvis is in excruciating pain, I'm starting to outgrow my maternity clothes and I look like a waddling beach ball, but the silver lining is my skin has never looked better!! Gotta love all those pregnancy hormones + prenatal vitamins!
Same as @lucypod, I'm starting to outgrow my maternity clothes! I just ordered a couple more tank tops in larger sizes because I'm not keep on just letting my belly hang out. I think the problem is that my belly is lower so the stuff is just sitting differently, plus I'm taller. The clothes fit, but they're just not long enough. I thought I could get away with the stuff I had from DD but my body is just so different this time. Ugh!
Learned today that my short term disability doesn't kick in until 8 days after my "injury" so I have to use up my PTO before I get the 6 weeks of leave. (I don't qualify for FMLA yet because I started this job in Oct)
When the hell with the US stop considering giving birth an "injury" we must get over?!?!?!
I love my job and the company I work for but it's a smaller company (350), and my past employer (40k + employees worldwide) was much better at putting in work/life balance policies in place.

I spoke to someone who designed for a maternity line once and they said that maternity clothes are designed for a 7 month bump since that's the average size of the women wearing the clothes. I remember telling my boss about a month before my due date with DS that by the end of my pregnancy all bets were off with what I wore to work. If it fit, that's what I was wearing lol I didn't end up making it that last month (he was born just past 36w) but at almost 34 weeks a lot of the full panel bottoms are starting to get small. I have to wear the panels folded down.
@katienu and @lynnlove28 I'm a July birth announcement stalker too. I am going to be so excited when it is our turn, but the end of the month club may kill me. I know sonogram weight and estimates are usually way off, but because he is measuring so big, I'm allowing myself a glimmer of hope that I might deliver in mid-August.
@Hannah0726@Katienu 27th here! I almost feel like a newbie or something at only 32 weeks.
With DD I was due the 25th and I remember being so jealous of everyone on my BMB who was due at the beginning. I'm due mid month this time and I'm still jealous of everyone due at the very beginning of August lol.

It doesn't even have to do with how big the baby is measuring. I delivered DS at 36w and he was only 6lb 6oz. And they still have no idea why he came early!
@Curls919 I know. I'm just hoping he will get so uncomfortable that he will decide he wants out ( I know this is not a practical thought at all and I'm absolutely want him cooking as long as he needs).

Dude, I've been wearing yoga clothes to work like 3/5 days. Luckily my jeans still fit but the top of the band is starting to dig into my belly. I got these super long yoga tunics earlier in pregnancy and now they just fit like regular shirts, lol!
I am also in the "maternity clothes becoming too small club". I feel like the bottom of my belly sticks out of everything. At home I wear DH's t-shirts but I cannot wear them to work lol.

Yes! I mentioned this on the PGAL thread maybe a month or two ago. First time I heard it I freaked out and thought something was wrong! But it happens a lot now. The thing that freaks me out more is I'm getting this rhythmic pulsing sensation that continues for an hour or two (way different from hiccups). I've never seen anyone else post about it so of course I'm worried something is wrong now.
I'm with all of you with wearing whatever fits to work. I'm huge looking already and it's 100 degrees here and my feet are so swollen that I can't wear closed toed shoes anymore. I look pretty casual and I just don't care.

I never heard it with DD1 either. I'm going to ask Dr. On Friday just to see if it is baby's joints or what. My curiousity is peaked!
@JournoGrl23 I have noticed that too!? And been attempting to figure out what it could be. Maybe sucking their thumb?? I seriously have no idea but plan to ask at my next appointment. There is no way it is hiccups and lasted around 45 minutes for me.
I hate my screwed up sleep schedule because I feel like I miss out on the convos on here. I wake up and read through all the comments but then it's too late to comment on everything. Sigh
Had my 36 week appt today complete with GBS swab (wee!) She went ahead and did a cervical check while she was down there and I haven't had one before. Holy Shit! That shit fucking hurt! I'm normally very stoic with pain when I'm at a doctor's office, but I was moaning and sucking air through my teeth and at one point had to clutch the table and bout kicked her in the teeth! She said my cervix was way up high and behind the baby's head, so I dunno if that's why it hurt so bad?? She was really pushing whatever instrument she had. I'm 1 cm dilated but not effaced at all so she said if I have been having any sort of contractions, they're not doing anything. So for those of us having the awful period cramp feelings, it's probably nothing. She said only thing you can try is Tylenol and a warm bath. I'm also spilling protein so I have to go back to give another urine sample Friday. My bp is good (116/76) and no headaches or swelling, so most likely I just need to be chugging water which admittedly I'm hit or miss about. Oh also the spotting from the cervical check is kind of alarming. It's been so long since I've seen blood on TP and "spotting" is an understatement!
@Car0liiine... my first cervical check was painful at 35 weeks, baby was still high up and I was not dilated, although I was 50% effaced. Today I had my 36 week check, baby is low and I'm dilated to .5ish and 60 or 70% effaced. Today's check was not painful, just uncomfortable. I think once baby is lower it won't be so bad.
@Stephanie7693 I hope it gets better! No one has told my baby has dropped, but she's been very low the whole time so I dunno if she even will. But how much lower could she get if they're saying my cervix is behind her head? I was talking to my SIL after the appointment and she said that the most painful part of her labor was probably one of the cervical checks before she got her epi. So maybe it just varies.
Baby Boy is measuring a nice big 7 lb 7 0z at my sonogram at 35 weeks today. The doctor was shocked...my fundal height always measures on week, and I was like... I've been telling you this baby is big!!!
In some truly WTF news, I call my mom on the way home, and she tells me apparently my Dad thinks he's coming and staying for a week when she comes to stay after I get home from the hospital. Ummmm no. And while she said she's talked to him, I get the distinct feeling I'm going to have to be the one to tell him no as politely as possible and probably start WW3. How in the world does my Dad think the first week home, when I'm recovering from a C-section, a FTM to a newborn and trying to figure out breastfeeding, makes a fine time for him to come live at my house for a week. The man can't cook, can't do laundry, will be of no help taking care of our dogs, and generally plays the helpless act. Plain nuts. Here's to hoping he can take my polite no thank you and I don't have to parade horribles or deal with him throwing a hissy fit. I can, however, assure everyone that when it comes to this, I foresee no problem putting my foot down, even if it starts WW3. WTF.
@Car0liiine Not to be the bearer of bad news, but my cervix never did anything but stay high until I was induced. It hurt like a mofo every time. I didn't dilate or efface.
