@UnwritteN12 I just wanted to tell you that I had this terrible pain in my right lower abdomen at about 35 weeks during my last pregnancy. It was in one spot just like yours. It was so awful that I was nauseous and throwing up from the pain. Ended up going to L+D and spent the entire day there getting an ultrasound and then an MRI. The doctors were totally convinced it was my appendix but nothing showed up on the MRI, so they told me it was RLP!! I couldn't believe that it was muscle pain--I mean, I was taking dilautid it was so bad! It lasted for the majority of the final weeks of my pregnancy :-(
So, I think what you have really could be muscle pain, but they really should rule out everything else first. I hope you get some more concrete answers from your doctor at your appointment and I am sorry you are in pain!
I've been waiting for a call for my GD appointment for a week. After googling my butt off, I finally just went out and got a meter and started taking my glucose levels. I'm in between trying to figure out what I need to do and feeling a little hopeless. Also, hungry all the time now!
My other random is that baby girl has been dancing on my bladder since yesterday and it hurts like UTI pain with a constant need to pee. I don't mind it (it's not like she's doing it on purpose!) and love the movement but itd be nice not rushing to pee four times in an hour only to have a few drops come out.
@sunshinern96 - RLP was mentioned by the GP doc I saw on Monday too. (Mind you, this is the first time that I've ever seen her and I wasn't impressed overall but when she suggested muscle pain I wanted to scream because, REALLY?!) As much as I'm sorry that you went through that, I'm glad to hear your story too. Thank you for sharing. I think I may loose my mind if this lasts the next 9 weeks!!
Driving back from a meeting, I had to stop for a cow in the middle of the road (WTF PA?). Stopped for a Frosty. Then there was ice cream cake when I got back to work. Baby is happy
@AlwaysAuntNeverMom If you're hungry add in some high protein, no to low carb snacks. Even if you've already eaten your alotted snack carbs. Cheese, almonds, boiled eggs, and beef jerky are all good!
Not to be a mother hen, but have you checked with your OB's office about what is taking so long? I took my class within days of when they called me with the diagnosis.
But until you hear from them, I can try to answer any questions you have, if you need me to. I don't remember all the specifics off the top of my head, but I still have all the info I got at my class from my last pregnancy.
Just caught up. It's my day off and husband is off too. We took little man to the ocean and he played happily for 3 hours.. amazing morning. He has since been napping for nearly 3 hours... amazing afternoon!! 28 week appointment tomorrow so trying to be good so I don't bloat up today but all I want to do is eat junk!!!
@camichael They finally called and said they'd mistakenly put me in 'already scheduled' status. I finally got my appointment scheduled!
Thanks for the help. I haven't even thought about how many carbs from snacks as I feel that I don't know what I'm doing. I've done low carb diets before but I don't know how much is too much now so I'm confused. Since today is my first day monitoring, I am taking my levels before eating and an hour after to bring it in to the appointment.
@AlwaysAuntNeverMom What my hospital's dietician did was give me allotted amounts of carbs for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and three snacks. For me, it felt a lot like being on Weight Watchers. Except instead of points, I had carbs to eat. I don't want to confuse you even more, but total my total daily carb allowances were around 200-220 (as a top... I was allowed to eat less, but had a minimum amount as well). Hope that helps some!
Eta: You probably won't have to check your sugar that much (I only had to do a fasting and one hr after my three meals), but it doesn't hurt when you're unsure. Also, you've made me decide to check my fasting for the next week until my GD test. That was my problem time last pregnancy, and I'd like a heads up of how things are going. Also, I won't do things like eat cake for breakfast again if they are high...
My random. I just noticed my bellybutton is only barely an innie, I think in a week or two it will be a flat-ie...
that is how mine looks now! I used to be able to fit my pointer finger inside it, and now I can only fit my pinky and its slowly rising to the surface...
BTDT moms - were there any keepsake sort of things in the first day or so that you missed and regret (or were able to do and love!)? I'm thinking baby handprint/footprint crafts? I have an elementary degree, but I am not a very crafty person by nature...just don't want to miss out on a super adorable, easy one that can only be done in the first few days.

I was curious to see if my belly button would become an outie but mine's a deep innie. Weirdly the top part of it is kinda popped out and the bottom is almost flat. Creepy confession: I make DH touch it because it weirds him out.
@Sbrown721 - At some point after we got home, we did their hand prints in blue and pink clay and baked them. Prior to baking, used a toothpick to put their names and ages in the clay. It was quick and easy and we use them as Christmas ornaments now. Outside of a million pictures and the hospital hand prints and foot prints, that's the only thing that I remember specifically doing with them soon after birth that was sentimental.
What is going on in Orlando!? That poor little boy and his poor parents. I can't even imagine the variety of emotions they are feeling right now. It sure does make me want to hold my little guy close.

So devastating. I can't even imagine what they are going through. I was hoping for a miracle all day for them
Every.morning. I awake to my smiling little boy standing beside my bed, or he's on the toilet pooping, waiting for me to rise and wipe his bum. I prefer the creepy standing beside my bed. lol
I was making pasta tonight, and I was stirring the boiling pot... anyways, some water bubbled out and hit my belly and now I have a burn on it it hurts!

RE: the Orlando situation involving the gator. I have to refrain myself from looking at the comments and commenting on these other trolls blaming the parents and/ or complaining about the fact that the euthanized some gators looking for the body. What happened to having some compassion for these poor parents who literally watched their son get dragged into the lake. Can you imagine what guilt they will be living with for their rest of their life? It's terrible and for people to be so ignorant and critical really upsets me (obviously)
Every pregnant woman should get a car with air conditioned seats. Omg it is glorious.
Oh my god...I was just thinking I wish I had air conditioned seats. Driving home from my doctor's appt today, my back was sweating against the leather seats even though the air was full blast. I'm jealous!
H caved on the diet!!!! Thank goodness! I hid in the bedroom last night he was being so irritable. It is his birthday so I'm glad he is in a better mood. It's also our anniversary so I might have to put out later.
My belly button's turned into a weird sort of mostly outie (it was a deep innie before, but it was always a semi-hybrid around the edges; I had a tiny little rim around a deep hole).
Now I've got a circular ring that sticks out (which has always been there just a tiny bit), a little higher on one side than the other, and then a little nub (clearly the bottom of my navel) that doesn't quite make it to the same height as the outer rim sitting inside, surrounded by a little "moat." From the top, my belly looks like a giant boob with a nipple sticking out.
I'm curious to see how much more it changes. It was super sensitive, but thankfully, that's passed. I couldn't stand the feeling of my shirt touching skin that hasn't been touched before.

You and me both. I always have hope until I don't, ya know?
I have to re-interview for my teaching position in the fall because it's turning from part time to full time. They knew about the job in February but waited until the last full week of school to do demo lessons.
So, I haven't mentioned to them that I'm pregnant, because "hey I want the job, but I want to work the first two weeks and then take the rest of the year off" isn't exactly what I think they'll want to hear, even though I did my demo lesson this week at 26 weeks pregnant. My shirts are just getting bigger and bigger and my best hope is that they think I got fat.
Hiding a pregnancy at this point is weird. I wish they would have done their hiring earlier. I feel like a teen mom wearing sweatshirts through her senior year and then being shuffled off to "spend the year with her aunt"
H is "sick" and called in to work today. He is nauseous, and feels weak. Lol he hasn't even thrown up. Had the nerve to ask me to waddle down stairs to get him some crackers at 5 am
@KimmySchmidt Oh man, I can't even imagine hiding the pregnancy at this point. It would be doable, but I love shirts that show my bump, haha. I also wish for you that they'd gotten things figured out sooner. Best of luck!

Me too! I always wear fitted. I was miserable trying to hide it in 1st tri, I was so happy when my bump was big enough to wear fitted shirts. Sorry you have to work so hard to hide!
Good morning ladies! My belly button is the same as some on here.. started as a typical innie, now it kind of stick out at the top (looks like a super tiny hernia, though I know it's not) and below that is still an innie, but is more like a flat line across versus a circle. Hoping it stays that way, I think it pretty much just flattened out completely last time.
I have my 28 week appointment at 3:30... Brought raisin bran, a yogurt and a salad to work to last me until then - I don't want to starve but I also don't want to eat a lot of carbs that throw off my glucose test (though I've already prepared myself for failing it again). Admittedly, raisin bran is a lot of carbs... but if my body hasn't handled my breakfast by 3:30 this afternoon then it definitely deserves to fail the Glucose test!!
I was just reading the new stories for the day on the Bump home page and one was about the essentials for the changing station. It said "6-10 dozen cloth diapers and diaper covers". WHAT?! You're telling me I should have 72-120 cloth diapers?!
Re: Orlando - Living near central Florida right now is rough right now. 2 very sad shootings, and an alligator death in the course of a few days. I cannot look at the news, facebook or even being at work without the subjects being brought up constantly. Don't get me wrong it is VERY VERY SAD but everyone wants to blame everything and it is causing such hysteria. Lots of political and social agenda's being tossed around.

I had the weirdest most random dream last night. The baby was kicking and it was kicking so much that the doctor was worried it was having a seizure so they took the baby out and put it in an exercise ball. They said they could just put it back in me soon. I was walking through the mall holding the ball and could feel the baby bouncing around inside the ball against my hands. Then I walked under a skylight and it was so sunny I could see through the ball. And the baby was so weird looking but I thought it was cute. And I took a picture of it on my phone. Wth?!

I've been avoiding FB, so this is the first I've heard of the boy in Orlando. Going to have to Google it.
My belly button is like it got last time, a very shallow innie. I think it's a lot cuter than my usual deep innie.
@blondie080300 Congrats on finding your name! We are still undecided...
@Megan324 Congrats on the townhouse!
Edited to add that I too want air conditioned seats! That sounds amaze-balls!!
