@BornReady - glad your friends had a good time too! the concert was over by 11:30, which isn't that late, but with the traffic, we hung out at our car for a hour, and had no trouble getting out of the parking lot. getting to i-95, however....instead of a 5-10 minute drive, it was about 45-60! didn't get back to our house in boston until about 2:30 am, and then i was at my desk at work by 7:30 am!
@PNW12RN no more POAS you will drive yourself crazy! Hang in there and try to wait for beta. I have to wait till Saturday as well. I have no symptoms that in can tell. Except some bloating. FX for a great Saturday for us BOTH

@AandDM2014 i'm sorry tht at the call wasn't what you expected. 10 days seems like so long in this world, but hopefully it will go by quickly and will be exactly what your body needs to be ready for that BFP!
@pnw12rn deep breaths, lady! i definitely think it was too early, and you're not out of the running yet. thoughts and prayers to you for sure.
afm- i had my pre op appointment today. the lining was where it needed to be, and we're officially set for wednesday, july 27 at 12:45! my doctor said she loved the good energy in the room today, and felt really good about it all. the nurse (who has always been cold and not friendly) was super nice doing the instructions and said she was so happy to see me to this point. she even gave me a hug when i left! so good news all around!
Me: 37. DH:37 Trying to conceive since May 2015 Diagnosis: MFI- told to go straight to IVF Egg retrieval: late January 2016- 7 embryos on ice FET #1: April 27- transferred 2- BFN- (beta 4, CP) FET #2- July 27- transferred 2- Beta August 8
@cmm012 I feared the PIO and read everything I could and watched lots of youtube videos to see how other couples do it. I've been on them for about 20 days now and they aren't as bad as I expected. I ice the spot until the ice pack starts to hurts. Then I remind DH to keep the needle straight like 15 times (sesame oil, 25 g needles - takes a while to inject) because if he is not keeping that needle steady, the more it moves the more bruised the muscle feels and if he pulls it out at even a slight angle it will hurt/bleed. Then DH massages for just a couple of minutes until the hot pack is warmed up and then I let the hot pack sit on the spot until it thoroughly warms the area (DH can massage during this too, but rarely does). Finally, unless I fall asleep during the process (the tired is real) I hop on the treadmill at 2 ml/hr for 5 min. and I swear this really helps. I'm slightly sore, but there aren't any lumps and I am comfortable walking or sitting/sleeping in any position. I think getting that muscle warm and moving afterwards is the key (squats, leg raises, walking, etc.). I hope this helps! GL!
@PNW12RN From what I've read in forums (slightly obsessively) when to test after IVF varies a lot and some hpt don't show positive until closer to 9dpt or even after beta. I think you had mentioned wanting to know before you get the call at work to be prepared. Maybe RE could leave voicemail to listen to with DH. FX
@ale9687 thank u! But I guess I should been more specific for the appt... It's my 8+ week BFP sono. Hoping everything is still growing and beating like it should...
And now I'm happy again... Man! What a roller coaster!!! My aug 30th consult with my doc got pushed up to next Tuesday and I just got a call from the nurse that I've already got preauth from the insurance company!! We're doing an EPP cycle (estrogen priming something) instead of starting with bcps. Hopefully this'll help with quality and quantity of eggs. I'm gonna hop on over to the August/sept IVF board to start getting to know those ladies. I'd love to know if any of ya'll have done an EPP cycle so I'll stay on here for another couple days to hear your comments. Good luck to everyone and may we all be bless with our little bundles quickly!!!!
We transferred two good quality embryos today. I'm super excited. Only upsetting news is that out of our 15 eggs that fertilized...we didn't get many that matured that my RE wanted. There are 3-5 that they are going to let grow for one more day so we can hopefully freeze something!
Waiting to get on the ferry after transferring my beautiful embaby. The picture they took this morning doesn't show it hatching, but the embryologist says that typically when they freeze them the cells suck back in then once they warm back up they start hatching again. When they put it in the monitor for us before transfer it was hatching again. The transfer was supposed to be at 3:00pm but I must have been dehydrated because wen though I followed the instructions there wasn't even a drop in my bladder. And they kept having to check me as I was drinking more till it finally filled up. Now I can't stop peeing!

@Sunflower5678 that's great! With my last fresh cycle I transferred 2 and they didn't like any of them to freeze that day either. So they watched them for another day and froze the one we transferred today.

On a side note. I'm pretty sure I have a rib or two out from being so stressed and tensing up when my husband does my PIO injections.
Its pretty painful when I breathe out just right.
my re said it would be okay to get in for an adjustment. What would you all do? I feel like my body is going to focus on this pain I'm in, instead of putting its energy in to these embryos growing.
Just took a FRER and I'm 8dpt and there was a second line. My DH and I were so convinced it was going to be negative, we were both so shocked. I'm still in shock because I've never seen a second line-just didn't think it was possible! Beta is tomorrow morning and I'm praying for good numbers. We leave for NC road trip tomorrow so I have to have second beta on the road in Delaware at Quest Labs. Kind of weird timing but if it's BFP I'll take it!

@emgem819 WHOOOO!!!! That is fantastic news and what a great way to start off your vacation! FX that your beta comes back with fabulous numbers today!! Be prepared for VERY hot weather this weekend/early next week. I'm in the DC/Northern Virginia area and it's going to be temps in the high 90s/low 100s through Monday plus a lot of humidity, ick! Hopefully near the water you will have a nice breeze!
@Sunflower5678 Congrats on your transfer! I would definitely get those ribs taken care of. Little Emby needs oxygen to grow. If you can't breathe well, Emby could be negatively impacted. I hope all goes well!

@sunflower5678 I would get those ribs looked at and taken care of, that doesn't sound like much fun!
@emgem819 my beta isn't until Monday!! My clinic makes you wait almost the full 14 days, even after a 5dt (mine will be 13dp5dt). I'm starting to go crazy! DH doesn't want me to test early as ****TW**** during my last two IUIs I tested early, got a positive but they ended up being chemical pregnancies. I am so tempted to test b/c I want to know what's going on! On the other hand, I keep thinking well, if I test and it's negative, I'm going to be crushed and as of right now, I'm still technically PUPO so I might as well think I'm pregnant for as long as I can and just be happy in denial. I'm not going to answer the call from my nurse on Monday and let it go to voicemail, DH will pick me up early from work and we will listen to it together. Monday is going to be a tough day to get through but thankfully it's a busy day at work. I have a bottle of wine sitting in the fridge waiting for me already, just in case.
I decided to delete those of us who are on the August/September tracker just to keep the list more manageable and so I didn't have to make edits in two separate places!
@kyrgyzshan I'm so happy to read your update and that you'll be moving forward! See you over on the August/September board!
@heidis1 Ahhhh fingers crossed for your first sono!!! Keep us posted!
@emgem819 I'm sooo excited for you and can't wait to hear your beta numbers today!! Congrats on seeing that second line girl!
@Knottie1455746131 Do we have news from your beta yesterday? Hoping it was good news...
AFM, after 3 nights of stims now I think we have a routine down. I've been battling a headache since yesterday morning and I can't tell if it's from the injections or from AF, which came with a vengeance the morning after we started stims. But my mom flies in tonight so she can be here for my ER so even though I'm headache-y, I'm in a good mood!
Sorry @mtpbadger for some reason I thought you tested today too! It's probably good to wait the 14 days then you know for sure but I hear you the waiting is just plain brutal. I only tested early because we are leaving tomorrow and I wanted to get one test in with my re's office before taking off. Still haven't heard back and I'm on pins and needles waiting. My DH is at work and he can't get anything done until he hears! Anyways I hope Monday goes well and you won't need that bottle of wine!

Thanks to everyone who gave advice on PIO injections! Too many to name!
I've been intermittently checking updates, but haven't had much to post. Well I started Estradiol on 7/11 - 2 pills 2mg each - and was supposed to up my dosage to 3 pills on 7/15... totally forgot. Didn't realize my mistake until Monday... that's THREE days. Emailed my nurse and she said just to start taking the correct dosage from now on, but I'm terrified that I've totally screwed up this cycle. My lining check is tomorrow morning. So nervous! Anyone else go through something similar? Trying to stay positive!

@babylonghorn16 oh no! I'm sure you will be fine, worst thing I can think of is that if your lining isn't ideal they will have you stay on the meds for a few more days. I'm sure the nurse has seen it before! FX for a good, thick lining tomorrow!
@babylonghorn16 I'm sure that like @mtpbadger said they'll just have you stay on them for a few extra days. During a typical cycle for me, I'm on estrogen for over two weeks before transfer, and usually get up to 8mg orally and 4mg vaginally, so you can definitely go higher in dosage than you are now.

FET cycle #3 Transfer July 28th 2016, Triplets born healthy on February 26th 2017 at 33w1d!
@AandDM2014 - I feel your pain. Was so upset yesterday after results came back...lining not thick enough (it was 7.7 and they want 9 or greater), estrodiol too low (it was 224 and they want over 300) and so added estrace tabs vaginally and said there was no way we could transfer on the date I was planning for, and that I'd moved heaven and earth to trade shifts with people so I wouldn't be working. I was very emotional.
But I have had a day to cool off, stopped blaming my body for not cooperating (again), and have accepted that whenever my body is the most ready, that's when we will do this. And the rest will have to work itself out.

@emgem819! yay! that's so exciting!!! FX that the beta will bring great numbers!
Congrats on being PUPO @Sunflower5678 and @cat4151! Yay!

And the rest will have to work itself out.
first RE visit 11/15, me - blocked left tube and Low AMH, DH - low count, motility not great
5/16 Lupron, gonal f, menopur, dexamethasone (5/19 suppression check: 13 resting follicles; 5/24: estradiol 457 - decreased menopur;
5/27: estradiol 1417, progesterone 0.18, 5 follicles >15mm, 9 follicles 5-15mm; 5/30: estradiol 2964, progesterone 0.8, 9 follicles
>16mm, 6 follicles 6-11mm; 5/31: estradiol 3149, progesterone 4.1; 6/1 ER)
6/16 egg retrieval 6/1 (15 eggs, 14 mature, 7 fertilized with ICSI); 5 day update (5AB (biopsied and frozen), 4AB/C (biopsied and frozen), 2/3, 3 morula, 1 multicellular); 7 day update (4 frozen and sent for CCS: 5AB, 4AB/C, 5AB, 4BB); CCS results (2 normal, 1 abnormal, 1 inconclusive)
7/16 attempt to retest inconclusive - didn't survive thaw
8/16 transfer day 8/1: 2 5AB hatching blasts, beta 8/10 = 250!!, beta #2 8/12 = 572, ultrasound on 8/24...TWINS!
@cat4151 Adorable embabie! lets hope our embryos are snuggling down now!
AFM- good news from the lab today! Yesterday after our fresh transfer my RE was unsure we would have any embryos to freeze. They let them grow one more day in the lab and now we have 5 that we can freeze! So thankful!
And I'm also getting into a chiropractor tomorrow thank god! Lol!
