@mtpbadger I'm not testing early either. I don't want to see another negative HPT and I'd be afraid of getting a positive but then having a really low beta. I'm just waiting it out. Trying to stay positive but broke down crying today. Can't wait to hear about your beta.
@lilmissslp oh I've had several moments of crying this weekend! I think it's par for the course at this point! Thankfully we are puppy sitting through Tuesday so it's hard to stay sad when she starts licking my face
AFM - Garth Brooks was amazing!! Concert started an hour late though, so we didn't home until 3am!! But that was actually perfect, bc while everyone slept (in-laws were in town), I snuck off to appt! I came home with Whataburger taquitos and no questions were asked! LOL
Clinic nurse administered my first PIO this morning, so I didn't have to wait for in-laws to leave. She tried to inject with the 18 gauge... ummm hell no. I made her switch to 22. Wasn't too bad though! A little soreness. Wish us luck for first at-home injection tomorrow!!
TL;DR Garth Brooks was awesome, in-laws are non the wiser, and PIO wasn't too terrible!
Edit: this app + autocorrect = suckage.

@babylonghorn16 - I found icing the area before the pio helps! Also heating pad on the area afterwards and I have my husband tell me to take a big breathe in and then when he inserts the needle I exhale and that's seems to help a lot! Good luck you will do great on your own! Ps super jelly about Garth!!
Good of luck to all the betas this week! Mine is not till Friday so I'm pretty sure it's going to be the longest week of my life!
@mtpbadger and @lilmissslp I've been crying this weekend too! All day yesterday and today I felt like I was having PMS cramps and it made me break down. Yesterday was only 3dpt so logically I doubt that's what it is, but emotionally that's what it feels like. Fun stuff.

@cat4151 did you to a 3 or 5 day transfer? It may have been implantation cramping.
@mtpbadger I hope the day goes quickly. I keep reading that it is too early to feel any symptoms so don't count yourself out yet. Hoping for a positive for you.

Afm as of yesterday I'm PUPO! I didn't get any grading but I was told the embabie was starting to hatch on its own. I keep telling it to stick in there and get comfy
Just checking in as I haven't been around much since my OHSS knocked me down for a solid week. Then we just kept really busy since I was finally feeling better.
As some of you may remember, they got 36 eggs from my ER. Out of those, 25 fertilized. On day 1 all 25 were still viable. Day 3 we were down to 15. Finally, on Day 7 our final number of embryos was 5.
Today we got our PGS results back. Out of the 5, only 2 were normal. I was hoping for 4 because ultimately we want 2 children and I was really hoping that they were both going to be in those embryos. Maybe they still will, but I can't help feel a little deflated about it and am worried that with 2 we may be lucky to even get pregnant.
Having said all of that, we are really thankful we did PGS. If we hadn't then maybe we would have wasted a lot of time and money trying to transfer any of those 3 abnormal embryos. And I'm so happy that we do have some viable embryos left for a future FET.
Now we have the choice of transferring one and having another shot or transferring both. Obviously this is a choice my husband and I will give a lot of consideration and make on our own, but I'm just curious what all of you would do if you only had two.
@mtpbadger Good luck today! I was a nervous wreck the day of my beta--totally unable to focus, tears, staring into space, etc. Hopefully all the anxiety will lead to a very happy afternoon. Sending you good vibes for a quick day!

AFM - PIO this morn wasn't bad, but when DH took needle out, I bled... a lot. Like running down my leg. Is this normal?? He said he pulled back and didn't see any blood, so I don't think he hit a vein. When I looked at syringe, I saw a few drops of blood, but I'm thinking that happened when he pulled it out. Freaked me out! I'm pretty sore on that side too. Thoughts???

@babylonghorn16 I think if the needle isn't perfectly straight, you can bleed. I had a lot of blood with one shot, but the others were okay.
@Knottie17838963 Glad your OHSS is resolved. I know how miserable that is. If I had two, and my husband did not travel for work I would put them both in. I chose one because I'm alone most of the time and did not want a heightened possibility of twins.
@babylonghorn16 I always have a drop of blood after everyone of my shots so I put gauze right away on it when I pull out the needle. Maybe the pressure after will help.
Ugh just got a call that we don't have any embryos to freeze, I guess the quality of the other 7 weren't good enough to survive the freeze and thaw. I had a mini breakdown but am just going to think positive and not let it get to me.
@mtpbadger Good luck! I will be checking in periodically to see if you have posted your news!
Thank you so much for all of your well wishes! I am so nervous. I haven't tested at all either and I just have this gut feeling that it will be negative.
I just got back from the doctor's office so now the wait begins. They said that I should expect a call at around noon. I wanted to let it go to voicemail and listen to it with my husband when we are both off work but my he can't wait that long. He is going to take the call and then send me an email. I told him that if it is bad news type "Results." into the subject line. If it is good news type "Results!"
That way I have a heads up an I can decide when I am ready to read it.

@babylonghorn16, we've done over 100 PIO shots, and I still bleed nearly every time. Totally normal, not a 'DH is bad at this" thing. My best suggestion would be from my DH, who always checks for 3 bubbles of air when he pulls back the syringe before injecting. We've only had one time where he hit a vein, and it was no big deal, just change the needle and try again. You'll know if he hits one!
Best of luck to those testing today! I'm gonna have to be on top of my Bump checking game!

FET cycle #3 Transfer July 28th 2016, Triplets born healthy on February 26th 2017 at 33w1d!
@lilmissslp thank you, I hope so, I didn't remember feeling that way with my transfer before but maybe I did it was so long ago. I did a 5 day transfer, technically it was a day 6 blast that was hatching.
@Knottie17863111 it depends on how old you are and if you've already had an unsuccessful transfer before....My first IVF cycle I was 35 but only made it to a day 3 transfer so we transferred 2 and they were the best quality you could get. It didn't take so with my second cycle we made it to a day 5 and usually at 35 years old they recommend transferring 1 blast, but having already had an unsuccessful IVF they recommend I transfer 2. *tw* I have 1 DD from transferring those 2.

@kerami1 I have a gut feeling mine won't be great results but who knows! I'll be letting the call go to voicemail and listening with DH. Phone is on silent and will go in my bag for the remainder of the afternoon. I tried to convince DH to swap phones with me since he works in a secure location and can't have a phone but he wasn't having that lol. My one coworker who went through IVF knows today is beta day and keeps checking on me to make sure I haven't cheated!
Ahhh, so exciting that so many of you are waiting on beta calls today! Good luck ladies! I will wait to post the updated spreadsheet when your results are in. I hope to add some + signs and nice high beta #s!!

AFM, it's been a quite few days since my last update. My mom is in town (she flew in for my egg retrieval so I've been preoccupied with her). At my scan on Friday I was told that I had 10 follicles and they were a little behind on development. The nurse said that was likely caused by AF (which decided to start the day after I began stims). My estrogen was also in the 200 range so my doctor decided to double my menopur. Last night we added ganirelix and I went in for another scan this morning. My actual doctor did my scan and he said that everything looks really, really good! I have a lot of follicles all within the 11-13 mm range, all growing at the same rate. He said he expects us to get over 20 eggs at my retrieval, which will likely be on Friday. I'm so excited to get this good news! This has been such a strange cycle, what with my cyst and the delays and weird ultrasounds/labs so I'm just so relieved that things are looking good!

I'm really bummed but my RE also called me and it seems we have a game plan moving forward. She thinks it's my lining that's the issues and she's still perplexed at how my body responds to meds. I'll be taking a short break since we will be out of town for a week and a half in August. She's fine with me not going on BCPs and once I get back just going in for monitoring and starting estrogen patches and estrace vaginally along with adding in lovenox and steroid injections to see if that helps.
I'm so excited for all the BFPs on this board but I'll probably be taking a little break and lurking here and there on this board and the Aug/Sept board since that's where I'll end up over the next few weeks

I got my BFP!!!!! My beta came in at 740!!! I am still reeling from the news. I can't even believe it. I was so sure that it didn't work. I was having typical period cramps off and on for the last 5 days or so.
We did put 2 back so there is a chance that it is twins. My second beta is scheduled for Wednesday.

I'm so excited for all the BFPs on this board but I'll probably be taking a little break and lurking here and there on this board and the Aug/Sept board since that's where I'll end up over the next few weeks
time to drink some wine and watch some crappy television
@mtpbadger I'm so sorry for your negative beta! I was rooting for you. I'm very happy to hear they have a game plan for you. Indulge in your wine and crappy tv!
