Anyone have funky smelling sweat lately? Seriously I smell like a loaf of bread or a yeasty beer. It's kinda gross. It's mostly under boob sweat and I don't have any sort of yeast infection there at all but honestly I just feel like I stink! I'm sure wearing my bra for weeks on end doesn't help but it comes back even after a fresh wash...I'm giving up on the issue and resigning to smelling like bread!!! Yuck
I've been getting the boob sweat...being quite busty I have had boob sweat before. I can't tell if my sweat smells or it's just my super pregnancy smell levels but It's annoying. I use Lush brand vanillary dusting powder and it works wonders. Less sweat and I smell lovely.
Hit with cramping today. Like I am getting my period. This is unacceptable. Part of not getting my period for 9 months is also not getting period like cramps for 9 months!
Ok, working moms - what are you doing to help the swelling? I sit at a desk all day and my feet are MASSIVE by the time I go home. I am down to wearing only sandals (not very professional) but even those are tight. I have tried upping my water intake (I'm currently getting about 100 oz/day, and using my fitbit app to track it) and I have been cutting back on sodium. I have my feet up on a bankers box but obviously that doesn't elevate them enough. Anything I missed? BP is fine so my OB wasn't concerned, just pretty much said "lay down on your left side with your feet up" ... can't really do that from about 7:45 am when I leave the house until I get home around 6, and even then I have a toddler. So I pretty much can only elevate them when I'm sleeping.
@sillyfox I brought in an ottoman that I put under my desk to prop my feet on, and that seems to have helped. I had a bankers box before, and it just wasn't high enough. I've heard that cutting salt can actually be bad sometimes... but that what you really need is good salt (like fancy Himalayan salt) instead of regular table salt. Worth a try, maybe?
As for my symptoms, the swollen feet seemed to have went away a bit. Definitely have a lot of pressure in my pelvis, which makes it hard to be on my feet for long. Some lower back pain if I ignore the signals and overdo it trying to clean my house like I did this past weekend. The sweating though, that is my worst symptom by far. Total swamp crotch. Yuck.
@sillyfox have you tried compression socks/stockings? I got some last week and that seemed to have helped a bit (at least my feet felt better).
As for me, things are really getting fun...seems like the irritable uterus contractions that sent me to L&D Saturday night were due to me trying to fight a stomach bug. I clearly failed at fighting it, and spent a considerable part of my day on the toilet. So now on top of everything else, I have bleeding hemorrhoids. I already have some Prep H wipes, but not sure if they're safe to use during pregnancy. GP and OBs office are now closed, so I'll have to call L&D for any information. Any suggestions?
I got them for $25 at the pharmacy (Shoppers in Canada, but I'm sure you could find them in any Walgreens/CVS or place of the like, in the same area as where they keep other socks, but with those for diabetics).
@sillyfox I have pretty persistent swelling too. The only thing besides water and laying down that helps is when I have days that I can keep my on-feet and off-feet time fairly equal. Then, when I get home, I have DS convinced that my legs make awesome car racetracks so we can play and I can have my feet up for a bit.

My midwife told me I can also try increasing my protein intake. To what idk but she just said to try and incorporate more into my diet and it sometimes helps with swelling in addition to the other stuff. Compression socks or stockings definitely though. It's really the only thing that's helped me.

You should be fine with the preparation H wipes. It's basically only going on your bum anyway. If you have them in the US get some Tucks wipes too. They have witch hazel in them. Supposed to be soothing and great for haemorrhoids/post partum soreness! I would also just get some regular wipes for when you've been to the toilet for #2 to minimize the chaffing from regular toilet paper.
Any other moms with spontaneous water breaks last pregnancy getting fearful of the downward pressure and low kicks or head butts? I feel like everytime there's strong movement down there, I'm bracing myself for a gush.

Yes, even though my doctor keeps saying it doesn't usually happen I feel like it's happened once, I'm sure it can happen again! I also get nervous when there's a ton of pressure going from sitting to standing.

Every.Minute.Of.The.Day.
Been married since 2009. Unicornuate Uterus (yes I menstruate glitter) Several MCs DD born 2013 (our miracle "you can't have babies" baby!)
baby has been moving like crazy I know he is still head down because I can feel it especially when he gets the hiccups .. I've had to take it easy today I've found myself not being able to walk from spontaneous sharp shooting pains in my vagina from what feels like my cervix it's extremely painful ! He was up moving for 2 hours the other night so of course I was up at 2:30 in the morning and I swear I thought my water was going to break the way he was moving was like a fish out of water and I honestly thought his head was stuck it was insane !! lol I have officially added another pillow to my night time routine so going on 5 but still doesn't seem to help. I can't get comfortable at all and I have been waking up drenched in sweat ugh
My cervix hurts All. The. Time. LO has been head down and sooo low for a month now, and the pressure on my cervix is just too much. The only time it doesn't hurt is when I'm laying down. At this point it has me practically bed ridden. I'm getting pretty miserable
I got tired in the 1st tri and thought that was bad but this 3rd tri exhaustion is intense. I worry about me driving home after work. TMI WARNING: Another new symptom I have is loose stool. I wouldn't call it full on diarrhea but after being constipated for months it's just not cool to jump to period like cramps and poops.
TMI maybe? Anyone have vaginal numbness? It's been like this on and off for a month or so. I wouldn't say completely numb but getting less sensation then I will go through a day or two where wiping after peeing will feel raw and slightly painful then back to being numb. I have (and didn't even really realize it) hemorrhoids and vaginal varicose veins.
i had a check up today at 36 weeks and that is when my doctors office starts offering cervix checks. I've been feeling a lot of pressure and like he's really down low so I figured I'd have her check. It's not much at all, and I could stay like this for weeks, but I'm 1cm dilated and 75% effaced.
Using soap and shower gel internally can greatly upset your vaginal pH levels. Soaps and gels ( even very mild ones ) get rid of not only bad bacteria but also the good bacteria that helps ward off the baddies.
U only need a little soap. Like a pea size, or just plain water if you prefer. I just find it more hygienic.
RE: Tucks wipes. I have looked for them in every pharmacy I can't think of and can't find them for the life of me. I'm too embarrassed to ask for the hemorrhoid butt wipes section....

Hahaha just ask! Seriously no one even cares and you're pregnant!! Usually it's under or near the stomach section where you'd find antacids etc. Occassionally the tucks are kept in other places so just find the best stocked pharmacy you can and ask away. They may be able to order them even if they don't usually stock them!

Bjs has an economy pack. While I don't need them yet I was tempted to get them on our last trip there. Just in case!
On top of the SPD and the extreme pain from that I have been dealing with, I developed red bumps all over my legs this week. They itch a little but are just rather unsightly. I believe this is my body's way of waving the white flag.
Really looking forward to explaining this one at my massage tonight.

I dint have haemorrhoids but I got some for the post partum time. I've heard great things about them! Especially if you make "padsicles" then you put a wipe on top so it's in contact with your lady bits!

Honestly, if you choose one thing to get for post partum I would highly suggest the tucks wipes. They helped SO much!

I ordered mine on Amazon prime
haha same. eliminates the awkward pharmacy conversation.

Last pregnancy, I couldn't find them either. DH took one for the team and asked a store worker where they were for me when he saw the awkward look on my face.
@lalala2004They're usually on the bottom shelf with the stomach medication. Think tums, milk of magnesia and the such. I work at CVS and I swear I spend 10 minutes of every shift showing people where the hemorrhoid medication is. No big deal, we don't bat an eye.

What a sweet husband. My extremely cut and dry, blunt husband says at the pharmacy "excuse me, can you point me in the direction of the witch hazel and the butt wipe thingys for when you've got those bloody sore type things on your butthole? My wife is worried she may need them, she's pregnant, apparently pregnant women need these". Yes, I was standing right behind him.

Ha. Omg, I would probably kill my husband. I just ordered mine on Amazon to avoid that completely.m
I got a little freaked out last night, after eating dinner I started feeling very nauseous. I've had the nausea all 3rd tri but this was way more intense. Also feeling a lot of abdominal pain/discomfort. Like stomach cramps, but all over. and baby was moving around a ton which didn't help.I started feeling achy like when you're getting the flu, I could not get comfortable at all so I just went to sleep. I thought maybe it was some sort of BH but it didn't come in waves that I could measure. Just an hour of feeling terrible. Is it possible to get BH but not the wave-like intervals. I was doing a lot during the day and pretty worn out. Today I feel fine so I don't know what's up with my insides.

Yeah, I'm used to it by now lol. This is how he talks majority of the time, I've learned to love it lol. He never sugar coats anything, anything other than telling me I look beautiful when God knows I don't. It can be super embarrassing given the circumstance, such as the above lol, but his bluntness is USUALLY a really good thing. Amazon is a beautiful thing, I should have really utilized it for this purpose and I will for sure in the future lol.

Thank you so much! I normally don't get embarrassed about these kind of things at all, but for some reason, this make me nervous
Everything hurts. My uterus feels like it's going to explode. It's comparable to the worst menstral cramps I've ever felt. I'm hott. I'm tired. I can't tell, at this moment, if I'm contracting or just experiencing aweful pain, in general.
i juat want to curl up in a ball on my bed, but I can't because, lucky me, I'm the bread winner in the house. So if I do, we can't pay our bills. I'm just sitting here, trying really hard to keep myself together. This is proving to be an increasingly challenging task.

This is how I was feeling last night! but I don't know if it was contractions, something I ate or just another joy of pregnancy weirdness. I'm also the one working while DH is in grad school. So I feel your pain wanting to go home and rest, but here I am at work trying to keep it together. Hang in there it's only a few more weeks!

This sounds like my DH. I'm lactose intolerant so I have to take medicine if I want to eat ice cream. Every time I order ice cream, without fail, he says (very loudly) "Oh, did you bring your medicine so you don't poop all over yourself??" I get so many weird looks.

Heartburn. From. Hell.
It's so bad it's made me throw up a few times. Nothing works for it, either.
