I thoroughly enjoy pulling my pants, undies and giant compression stockings down every 18 minutes to pee, and then hoisting it all back into place.....said no pregnant woman EVER. I'm glad I have these bad boys to keep the stupid clots at bay, but holy moly.
I just want someone to come do my laundry and put it away for me. I'm uber tempted to send it out for the rest of the pregnancy. I'm gonna say it's so I don't throw it at my husband in fits of p-rage.
@nicknshan just say you missed him and needed it there not to be lonely.
ETA: spoke to my coworker first thing this morning and gently asked her to refrain from commenting on my food or weight or really anything she wouldn't say if I wasn't KTFU. It went really well and I feel 100% better about it.
GOOD for you! Why any co worker would think it's okay to talk about your butt or diet is just so beyond me. I'm proud of you for having an adult conversation instead of just giving her death glares after every comment... because that's probably what I would've done. I think we can all agree you get the gold sticker of the day.
My airbrush gun exploded iridescent purple paint all over my garage...... Time for a new one. Thank god it didn't explode on the skating dress I'm in the process of making though!!
@sdLindenberg That sounds miserable to clean to up. But I'm glad it didn't get on the skating dress.
My random for the day (or at least the moment...) I'm sitting at my desk and baby boy seems to be rolling somersaults in my tummy. I absolutely love feeling him. It is far and away my favorite part of being pregnant. I really can't wait to meet my little man.
I'm about to hire a once a month maid to come do deep cleaning. I can't do baseboard anymore, and bathrooms are getting tricky. We have a corner tub in our bathroom, and the last time I cleaned it I was exhausted after and had to lay down!
I also want one to come while I'm in the hospital so I come home to a clean house. My MiL is staying with my boys, but I'm not going to expect her to keep up with them, and clean my house also. DH is good with cleaning the kitchen, but that's where his cleaning skills end.
@HBMama2B - Seriously, GOOD for you! I might have to take a page from your book. I've had no less than THREE co-workers comment today on how I look pregnant. Mind you, two of them were nice comments but one was "Wow, you are really getting big!". Why is that ok?!?
My random for today. We got our new car tinted a few weeks ago and it looks awesome but we can't wash it for 30 days and it's driving me nuts!
I've only ever had silver cars so you couldn't really tell when they were dirty but this one's a dark blue and it looks nasty already. And I still have 2 weeks to go....
@ahernandez16 - If you are really itching to wash a car, mine could use some TLC. It's black and the snow/rain/slush/salt mix is taking it's toll.
I'm proud of all of you (especially @HBamama2B!!) for taking those comments and NOT bursting into tears. I feel extra-wide today and if somebody commented on it, I would just cry... and then go home and drown my sorrows in ice cream and feel simultaneously guilty. Thankfully, I work with nerdy dudes who know well enough to keep their mouths shut!

Yup, me too. At my 24 week check up today my obgyn told me that I've gained a total of 16 pounds so far which is 3 pounds too many. Now I feel extra fat.
@ahernandez16 if the tint's on the inside of the windows, you should be able to wash the outside, right?
Question: I was measured on my belly for the first time today by my OB, and it came out at 27 weeks, which is two weeks ahead of my due date. How reliable are these measurements?
I actually want to hire someone to deep clean just my bathrooms. Our house is 50 years old with original everything. Which means tiles everthing! The shower in the back "master" bath is something like 3'x3' and completely tiled with a glass door.. mold loves it! The ceiling of the shower is even tile. I have to stand in the middle of the shower to clean behind the door and higher than half way up, literally in all of the chemicals used for cleaning. My husband tries, but he isn't a detail person when it comes to cleaning.
Oh and getting in the shower is a ton of fun with a belly because you have to hug the wall to close the door...
@shannonrnbsn I would say not extremely accurate, when the use the tape measure like that they're measuring from pubic bone to the top of your uterus. There are several factors that could make this number larger or smaller than your actual gestation.
@shannonrnbsn yeah, what @gray51015 said. Like say 2 weeks worth of poo*, curse you constipation! (*No actual scientific evidence went into the making of this statement)
Thanks @kballew10 and @mkemommy! And definitely try it. I'm going to try to continue to educate people on what not to say to ladies in a delicate condition...before I morph into the hulk and rip their heads off. (Or cry. Really trying to avoid that!)
@mkemommy and @winniethepoohpants def feeling you on the wide load! None-and I mean none- of my underwear fit this weekend! And when I tried to push down my DH sweatpants to pee, they got stuck. I had to shimmy them over my hips. So mortifying. Especially followed on Monday by that comment. I recommend 90's girl power hip hop. It staved off the tears and brought on my p-power.
Ugh @WinniethePoohsPants - still have you beat...yeah me! I'm up 19lb at week 25. I was 17lb up last week. God only knows where I'm going to be next week. I seem to be gaining 2lb a week on average of late. I wish I could get it to the "recommended" gain of 1lb a week so at least I could feel like I would still hit the higher end of the targeted 25-35lb recommended gain but it just doesn't seem in the cards.
@shannonrnbsn - I was measuring 26 cm at last week's appointment (24 weeks) so two weeks ahead too. I take some stock in those measurements but not too much. After all, how can they be universal when each of us are different heights/body and stomach muscle compositions/get measured at different times in the day, etc, etc.
@shannonrnbsn that's what I thought too! But unfortunately H took it to get tinted and they told him 30 days and he is the most annoying stickler for rules. I could wash it at the 29 day mark and it could bubble 4 years from now and he'd say it was because I didn't wait.
He's super fun to play board games with. Ever wonder if anyone ever actually reads the directions front to back? I married him.

I'm that person too.
Ditto here too. My husband is the man that said the snowblower instructions gave him a headache and then couldn't figure out how to make the wheels turn when the snowblower was turned off...the pregnant wife had to show him...go figure.
So team green went out the window when baby BOY decided he was going to show the good about 10 times during my AS this morning . He was vary obvious about it
At my last appointment (22 weeks) I was at 26 pounds. It was a ten pound jump from my 18 week. My doctor wasn't concerned and that really surprised me. I thought for sure he was gonna lecture me. I've also heard everyone has one month where it's like BAM! I do seem to have slowed down quite a bit this month. I was hoping to keep my total gain around 35, but that not gonna happen.
@fishwife799 Congrats! I hope you're super excited, even if you had to leave Team Green! I have a toddler boy and he will be 22 months older than his new brother and I am just tickled thinking about them rolling around playing like puppies together in the near future!
So that sharp pain I was woken up with last night just came back, same place as last night. I'm wondering if it happens when the baby is changing positions? Reason I think that is because I was feeling kicks on my right side, had that sudden pain, and a few minutes later I feel kicks on my left side?!

Stuck in box!!! My son will be 21 months when this on is born. I fully expect a lot of rough housing and possibly a few broken bones over the years
I need to vent because I'm seething right now. My husband somehow lost his keys, can't remember where he moved the spare key to and long story short, I have to drive an hour back home to let him into the house. I'm out of town for work and have to be back here for a 7am meeting. Luckily I was staying at a friend's and not a hotel but what a colossal waste of time packing this morning and now adding another two hours to my already shitty commute schedule. Plus it's like 10pm! I want to be in bed! I am angry enough to make him sleep outside but we have a cat to feed.
Related to the discussion regarding comments from others during pregnancy, this is definitely not on the same level as people making rude remarks about my size, but I find that I am kind of over people always asking me how I'm feeling. Pretty sure they don't really want to know...it's nice and all...but it's constant. Next time someone asks me "are you feeling good these days?" in my mind, I'll be saying to myself:

YES! Do you want to hear that I'be been awake since 3am? Or that I'm effing 26 weeks and STILL HAVE MORNING SICKNESS? Or that it feels like this baby is already falling out of my crotch? ORRRRR that my back is so.stinkin.sore and I still have an entire trimester to go?
just say "yep! I feel great." It'll save even more comments
Re: Weekly Randoms go here...
Complaining over. I promise.

@mamanicole3 and @sdlindenberg dying laughing right now at the imagery. Perfect.

If you wanna be my lover, you gotta get with my friends.
That's literally all I can think of right now.

I wish I could poop as often as I fart. I don't think it's the hormones making me grumpy all the time. It's the 2 weeks worth of poo.
Also, @winniethepoohspants, I've gained about 25 pounds and I'm 24 weeks.

@catherinekate - WTF. I would be really mad too. I hope he apologized.
