Only found a sac so he thinks ( I hope) that I may be off on my dates . I know I did ovulate pretty late . Getting hcg levels checked also so praying .
Here is our ultrasound pic from today. Doctor says I am 9 weeks and keeping my due date May 6th even though baby is measuring 8 weeks 5 days. Little peanut
I had mine today. The heartbeat was perfect according to the OB, although he didn't specify what the rate was. I thought I was 8 weeks but I am measuring 7w 3d. Seeing the tiny flicker on the screen was breath taking even the second time around.
The same thing happened to me. I thought I was 8 weeks, but ended up measuring 7 weeks 4 days. Did the doc change your due date based on your measurements?

Same here! Thought I was 8 weeks but measuring 7w3d. My dr used the ultrasound to calculate my EDD. So I got moved BACK to May 18th.
Had the first ultrasound yesterday. Found out I was a little further along than I thought. They said everything looked good and heartbeat was great. 9 weeks today! During the ultrasound we actually got to see the baby move around. I was so surprised that something so small could do that.
I had my first ultrasound today! I would have sworn up and down that I was 9 1/2 weeks because I tracked ovulation (OPKs and temping) and I really thought I ovulated 6 days late. But the dating scan had me at 10 weeks, 3 days... Which is spot on based on my LMP! Due date was changed to 4/29... But I'm still skeptical! I will probably straddle the boards! Happy day, though, seeing our little gummy bear!
I can't wait. I'm so jealous of all the pictures. I'm 6 weeks today and I have to wait till Monday for a sonogram. (7weeks) I had a chemical pregnancy in May so I'm praying I see and hear something. It would kill me waiting till I was 20 weeks.
I'm loving this thread! I've got one more full day before my US Wed am! So excited to see my little bean and get the dating done. I know the day I ovulated so I don't think I should be far off from my estimate!
Tomorrow is my first ultrasound. I'll be 6w6d and I'm so nervous! I know things should be fine and the doctor said we should be able to see the heartbeat but for some reason I'm preparing myself that there might mot be one. It's completely irrational and unfounded. I've had no spotting or cramping. I guess it still just hasn't sunk in yet and I'm nervous. So glad DH worked out his schedule to go with me though.
@sincerelymom I can't believe how well detailed you can see your little one in the first picture! I go Friday for my us and can not wait!
Yes, I was shocked myself! I think because they did a transvaginal they were able to do a 3-D pic. They actually gave me a few 3-D pics, but I picked my favorite for the post! Also- I am 10 1/2 weeks so baby is pretty big compared to a 6- or even 8-week u/s.
There is no longer a "new discussion" button at the top of the board for me when I use my desktop and when I go on mobile and click it, it redirects me to my profile so hopefully someone can see this and give me some insight....
I had an ultrasound today where I measured 7w0d (right on for when I ovulated) but the baby had a slow heartbeat. The three measurements the tech took were 90bpm, 108 bpm and 100bpm.
Half the stuff I'm reading online says "perfectly normal" and half says "imminent miscarriage" and doom. Has anyone else had a slow HB to start? Did it eventually go up?
I'm just nervous because our last loss had a HB of 90bpm at 6w1d and then died the very next day. Thanks ladies!

I don't have personal experience with this, except to say that my u/s nurse that did my first u/s at 7w2d said at that stage they are just looking for the heartbeat to be between 100-200. It's too soon to make any assertions about the baby's health because the heart is so new, and still quite erratic. I would say it's not time to panic, yet.
Can I just ask other mamas who had recent CS (within the last three years) if the external US felt like your insides were being ripped apart? When the tech pushed down (fairly gently too) I almost kicked her in pain. I have a ridiculously high pain tolerance, but the pressure of the US wand right on my scar was probably the worst pain I have ever felt. I swore my uterus was being torn asunder. Can I just always get a transvaginal? It is sooooo much more comfortable! And aparently now I am a wuss when it comes to pain.

I haven't had an external US yet, but will within the next couple weeks. I'm concerned about it being uncomfortable as I have some areas around my scar that are still very tender after 1.5 yrs-- then right above my scar still feels numb. I'm expecting some aspects of this pregnancy to be odd because of the mix of sensations (or lack thereof).
First ultra sound ever I was suprised that that they said the same due date I thought! which is may 13th a day before hubby's birthday! I got to see the heart beat and it wiggle it's limbs
I feel bad though because I didn't think they would do an ultra sound today so hubby didn't come and now I think he's upset!
6w+1 day measuring on track from LMP and 1 day off from O date. Heartbeat was there, but no measurement was given!! I totally was so happy I forgot to ask!
I had my second ultrasound today, measuring 9w5d but they are still keeping my due date at 5/2 and saying that I am 10w2d. CRL is 2.88cm and HB is 180, last ultrasound I had the HB was 147!
New discussion button is missing for me on my laptop. I had my first appt today expecting to be 8 weeks based on LMP. They did a transvaginal ultrasound because they were worried about a possible cyst and the sac was measuring at only 5w4d. You couldn't see anything in it yet. Based on when I think I ovulated, this would make sense... my cycles are usually long... but that didn't stop me from bursting into tears. Neither the tech or the doctor were worried and they want me to come back in 2 weeks for another ultrasound, but I'm freaking out. Is 5w4d just too early to see anything? Did anyone else have their EDD completely wrong when they went for an ultrasound?

We had our first appointment a week ago yesterday when I was 8w3d! I'm now 9w4d. The doctor said I'm measuring a few days ahead but kept my due date of May 7th. This little gummy bear was 2.11 cm and had a heart rate of 170! It was so squirmy the whole time, it was incredible to see.

5 weeks 4 days is super early. Baby is barely the size of a pea, and the heart will only just start beating this week. Not surprising at all that you didn't see anything. May I ask how you thought you were 8 weeks along? Were you temping or using OPKs? If you were just basing your o-date off of some period tracker app, I would not be surprised at all if you were off by so much.
concreteayngel, I got pregnant in my first month of temping. I started temping after my cycle had already started, so I never got crosshairs. The 8 weeks was based on my LMP; since the doctor used that date when I went in to confirm pregnancy, that's what I was going by. I know it makes sense that I ovulated late. It was just really awful to think I was going to see something and then to not see it.

I can totally understand that. Hang in there, mama. If your doctors weren't worried, then you shouldn't be either. Keep us posted!
Had my first appointment today. Sounds like it's going to be a long road ahead. I have a uterine septum with a 40% chance preterm labor, 50% c-section and my child will more than likely be breech. Appointments every two weeks and then every week in the third trimester. Dr wasn't worried about baby - on track and very healthy. Just need to keep an eye as baby grows. Here's to many prayers and a healthy and hopefully full term pregnancy!

I went last week and they estimated 5w3d. all we saw was a sac. I go back tomorrow at 6w3d. everything I've been told and read was that you don't see much until at least week 6. good luck fingers crossed!
First appt. was this morning. So excited. LMP dates us 8 wk 5 d and the ultrasound dates us 8 wk 4 d. Pretty darn close to each other! We didnt listen to the heartbeat today and the OB had the screen turned so she could see it, so I didnt get to see if there was any movement. I have to go back in two weeks and then again a week after that. Heres hoping everything stays okay!
