8 week ultrasound and there's twins! We were only able to see one heart beat and they thought I'm a week behind where I thought I was so please send good growing thoughts my way. Headed back in a week to hear Baby B. also if anyone has had experience in this area, please advise.</p>
Headed in this am to have second ultrasound. I need all the strength and good energy that's possible now. Definitely very nervous.
One strong and growing baby. We are grateful for that❤️
I have been lurking for weeks, waiting to make sure everything was good. After this last ultrasound I am getting more comfortable with embracing this pregnancy. Too scared to jinx anything lol
Hey all! So my US went great today. The measurements all came back perfect. I did get my 1st tri screen as well and they are going to do a baseline 24hr urine just to see. All in all, great visit (even if the MFM specialist is one of my students' mom!)
@kbrands7 I missed why you had to have the ultrasound but so relieved for you things are good. But now, can we talk about those baby fingers?!?! Aghhh can't wait for my next scan, so precious!!

Thank you! I mentioned it in my ticker change thread, but I probably forgot to put it here. I had a gush of blood overnight that turned out to be a hematoma clearing. Sorry for confusion!
I love the fingers too! It was so amazing to see little one bopping around and putting fingers in his/her mouth. :x I hope you get to see some cuteness (and of course a healthy baby) during your next scan!
We had our first ultrasound yesterday, baby is measuring right on track for a due date of 5/18. I'm 10 weeks today. Strong heart beat too! Loved seeing our sweet, little one for the first time!
Had our first U/S yesterday.... Heartbeat is 167. Technician said she can't tell me anything else though. Radiologist will look at the pictures and send them to my doc who will give me details....so now I wait until November 2 to find out due date and everything..
Just had my first US. I have been convinced I am further along than 12 weeks. I ovulate early with a short cycle. Found out I am a full week further along! 13w4d which puts me at April 24th EDD. 144 hb and the US tech kept reassuring me that even though I won't get official results for a week that baby has a very thin measurement for the NT.
Had a complete FTS today was told the baby has a 1 in 39 chance of possible disorder :-S I just turned 12 weeks today. Have to go back on Tuesday for Genetic counseling
I know I already asked this, but I just want to see if I am being a big baby or what. At my NT scan, the sonographer said she HAD to do an external when I requested a transvaginal. By the middle of the scan, I was crying in pain and begged her to stop. Of course, the baby was hiding right behind my CS scar and the sonographer had to push hard to get the exact angle for the scan. I couldn't get up after and had to lie down for a few hours when I got home because sitting up hurt so badly. I felt like if I moved the wrong way, my incision would split open. I know that is completely impossible (the scar is 2 years old!) but I was down for the count. I used to have a super high tolerance for pain, but when it comes to my CS scar, it is a 10/10. I kept tensing up and it would make it even harder to get a good shot of the baby. Does anyone have any suggestions or tips on how to survive an external US with a CS scar? And if it hurts this much to have pressure on the scar, am I in for a world of hurt when the actual baby starts pushing on it?! I don't think I will be able to handle it if I get a swift kick in the scar (my placenta is at the back so no protection from tiny fists of fury!).
@laurenmdrn16 That sounds absolutely awful!! DS was born via c/s, he's 16 months now. I had my first u/s this week and I had no pain what so ever. I think you should talk to your doctor about the pain, it can't be normal!
Finally had our ultrasound yesterday. 9 weeks exactly! HB is 163 BPM. I was so nervous walking into that room that something may have been wrong. I am so thankful and feel so blessed that our baby is healthy! :x :x

You need to talk to your doctor!! This isn't normal. After 2 years you should have no feeling there! They must have damaged some nerves or something with you c/s. Also, when I've had ultrasounds since my c/s, they don't even go down that low. They always are above it, but still below my belly button. I'm so sorry you have so much pain still! Does it hurt on a daily basis from your pants or anything?
I am so happy! Had an ultrasound at 12w2d today, after losing last pregnancy in a MMC. Baby was kicking and doing really well, measuring at 12w6d! I just feel like I can finally breathe, being over the milestone of when we lost LO last time.
Also @laurenmdrn16 that sounds so horrible! I hope you can get some answers from your doctor soon, and some relief. Not speaking from experience, but that's sounds neither normal nor pleasant! Glad things with your babe sound good though : )

Honestly, since it was an emergency CS, they kinda did a slice-and-dice. It is not pretty. They were going to try a vertical, just because I was in so much distress, but my (old) OB was adamant about doing the transverse incision. So it basically goes from hip to hip in a jagged smiley face. The right side (where they started the incision...I remember every single cut because I couldn't have anesthesia) is pretty jacked up, but the middle and left side feel a bit better. I did have a post-op infection and it never really healed right (more prone to yeast infections etc). I also had adhesions and major nerve damage. I keep feeling zings and shocks (MH jokes that when my scar hurts, Voldemort is on the move!) and I only wear super high-waisted pants (like, above my belly button...very stylish). I had to get rid of all my bikini style underwear and low-rise pants because they would make my scar tingle and hurt, and I have a nice belly pooch/muffin top so they weren't very flattering anyways.
I think that my scar is a lot higher than most (still below my belly button, but at least an inch above my natural hair line) so that might be why it is in prime US location. I have an appointment on Nov 2nd and will definitely talk with my new OB about my scar issue. I am sure there is major nerve damage because I remember they hit a bleeder and needed to cauterize while I was having a seizure so I bet they nicked a bunch of other stuff in there too. I just have no idea what we can possibly do to make US less painful, but also avoid issues with the uterus stretching against the adhesions and how they will go about getting in there for the RCS. I don't know if they will go through the same incision (or just a portion of it since it is pretty huge) or if they will make a second one lower (like in the more traditional spot for a transverse incision). Fun fun fun!
Question for everyone. At my first OB appt at 7 weeks (currently 9w2d), my midwife informed me that my first ultrasound would not be until week 18-20. Has anybody else ran into this? I feel like that is such a long time to wait. As a first time mom, I'm having a hard time accepting/feeling confident about this pregnancy without actually seeing it with my own eyes and knowing everything is going the way it supposed to. A few people have told me I could go to separate ultrasound facility, but I feel like I would be going behind my midwife's back. Any thoughts or suggestions?
There is a board for late pregnancy ultrasounds I had seen a bit ago. Not sure how active it is, but it does seem a few people are in the same situation.
9 weeks 5 days. Got to see bean's heartbeat and a little movement!!! Idk what was sweeter, seeing the movement or the look on my husband's face when it happened! I'm on cloud 9 today!
