@Pregghers Doctors frustrate me so much when they insist on using a 28 day model for everyone. Sometimes I have very regular cycles, 32 days like clockwork. Sometimes I don't ovulate until day 80 or 90. Three years ago, I had a period in February and then went the whole year without ovulating or having a period. I finally ovulated in late October and found out I was pregnant in November. My doctor kept treating my like I was some kind of medical miracle because I "got pregnant without having a period." I knew my cycles well, knew that sometimes it would take a long time for my body to ovulate, but she kept insisting that you ovulate on day 14 and I should have had a period before I was able to get pregnant. Up until the day I miscarried, she would tell her colleges about me and they would stare at me in amazement. I couldn't believe it.
Oh, man, that frustrates me, too. Especially when people are tracking ovulation and KNOW they didn't ovulate on CD14!
NGL, at my first prenatal appointment with my first kid, they asked when my LMP was, and I was like, "Gosh, I don't know, but I ovulated on May 19th. So I guess it must have been May 5th, right?" :P I wanted to avoid all that nonsense.

With my daughter I gave the nurse a made up LMP date since I O'd on CD30. I went into my u/s at exactly 8w and that's what baby was measuring. It was worth the white lie to avoid the hassle.
Aah! Just a few more days and I am vacillating between nervous and excited. I was here nearly a year ago, and did not see that happy sight. So hopeful (and all your photos are encouraging!) and apprehensive too. Here's hoping I can add my happy news soon.
@casssandramariec Wishing you the best! I hope you get to see a healthy little one when you go in. @krzyriver As I understand it, it's pretty common to either not see things yet, or for things to be a little unclear before 7 weeks. At my doctor's practice, 6 weeks is the earliest they'll try to see something. Hopefully they're just being over cautious with you. FX you get a clear picture next time!
@kbrands7 Ok, thank you! This makes me feel so much better. Lol. I figured that was probably the case, but my previous pregnancy (which ended in MC) I only had one ultrasound and of course we didn't see anything because it wasn't a viable pregnancy. So hearing how unsure she was about the fetal pole was unnerving. I'll be 7 weeks 4 days (by my count) at my next scan on Friday. So hopefully things will be clearer then. ">
I'm so excited, nervous and worried for our U/S Mon!!! I'm 7 weeks and I'm hoping to hear heartbeat and see our little one. We had a miscarriage earlier in the year and I can't go thought that nightmare again. Crossing our fingers... God is Good!!
Just got my first US this morning! I was expecting to see a little blob but it actually looks like a tiny baby. I am 7w1d. Very excited! Heart rate was 164.
Here is my little one! We are 7 weeks 4 days baby was measuring 7 weeks 1 day and the heartbeat was 128bpm! Best thing ever to see that little heart flicker!
We had our first appointment today and saw LO! I'm 9 weeks today, baby looks great and has a strong heartbeat (169 bps). Seeing that little heartbeat always makes me cry.
Measuring 2 days ahead of where we thought we were! Heart beat 120 bpm! What an amazing sound! Tears for this emotional momma!! I'm tearing up now even!
Slight bleeding in the top right of the photo that we are watching, but my doc says it's fairly common and should go away.
Due date May 15! Two days before my husband's birthday!
Had my first ultrasound today and I'm not as far along as I thought based on my lmp. Dr. said it looked like a healthy 7 week pregnancy with a strong heartbeat! I'm a little depressed that I'm not as far along since it means more weeks of feeling crappy, but I'm psyched that everything looks good!
A little blurrier than others, but I am at 8w by lmp and Speck measured as 8w4d and heartbeat at 150! Such a relief given past experiences! We aren't out of the woods until 1st trimester ends of course, but so thrilled there is a baby in there, and all is well at this point!
Had our 1st appointment last Friday. Measuring 8 weeks (which is spot on) and they said the heartbeat was normal (didn't say bpm and we didn't get to hear it either) I felt like they rushed a bit through the appointment even though we were there 2 hours. So excited everything is normal and well!
I had mine today. The heartbeat was perfect according to the OB, although he didn't specify what the rate was. I thought I was 8 weeks but I am measuring 7w 3d. Seeing the tiny flicker on the screen was breath taking even the second time around.
8 Weeks 5 days yesterday! HR-161 We tried to Ramzi the US and came up with nothing. Being transferred from our RE to an OB-GYN. Starting to really feel real now!
Went in for our second appointment yesterday to check on growth because I was measuring a few days behind last time. Everything looked great! Dr said she was very happy with the growth. 8w 6d 183bpm
We had our second U/S today. Was a milestone for us after our losses. I cried when I heard the heartbeat. Our little gummy bear is doing great! We go back in 2 weeks for a feel good check up. My Dr. is seeing me ever 2 weeks which will help cLm my nerves!
Bumping from the ER. What what!
Yup, HG so I needed IV fluids, sublingual Zofran, and IV Reglan with a script for Diclegis. Oh, and an U/S! Check out this beefy nugget!
@laurenmdrn16 Just wanted to tell you how relieved I am that everything is ok! So sorry that you had to go through all that! I hope the fluids and meds are helping!! You are one bad ass mama!!
Just found out the only u/s we get is at 20 weeks. I may try to find an u/s place around use that will do them out of pocket. I don't think I can wait until 20 weeks.
Soooo excited to finally get to post my u/s of our little chicken nugget. 8 weeks 1 day. Got to see the little heart beat flicker as well as hear the beautiful sound of the heartbeat. Such a surreal moment, one of the top moments of my entire life.

The same thing happened to me. I thought I was 8 weeks, but ended up measuring 7 weeks 4 days. Did the doc change your due date based on your measurements?
Doc says she (we're calling a baby a she until we know for sure) is healthy and strong heartbeat (but didnt say how many bpm)...i cried like a baby when I saw the heart beat. I have been pretty scared about that. Morning sickness is far and inbetween now. Doc says she measures 8w3d we have been saying 8w1d and the doctor actually wants to stick to OUR timeline since it's not off by much.
