@AdorkablePixie I'm in a stay cation . I'll be at the pool daily just relaxing! I'm on day 4piui and not stressing. I actually feel no different aside from hot flashes from clomid. I wish I felt some sort of side effects. I feel like nothing is changing.
I just want to say i am glad I joined the community. All of you have been very supportive of myself and each other! I was able to keep my mind off of the 2ww this weekend by camping with my family. Which consisted of a lot of sitting and doing nothing

@rachlee2010 GL. Let us know what the results are! Do you have any side effects from Menopur? I have been having headaches but I don't know if it's from that or just my body hating me.. because it does that a lot. lol
@didi0308 GL! I hope you get to have your first IUI this week. I should be getting my first one next week!
@Krista537 Stay-cations are nice! I think it's good you don't have many side effects. I've been getting headaches and I can't tell if it's the Menopur or just me.
@mummysmomma We are glad you're here! This is such a great group of people.

@roosh1982 : on what day was that measurement taken and what was the size of your follies then? Ideally, you want it to be above 8mm so it's nice and cushy for implantation, but pregnancy can occur with thinner linings. On my 3 Femara and TI cycles, I was always between 6-7mm and in my case, the shape of my uterus was to blame. It's been corrected through hysteroscopy and with this cycle, I reached 8.4mm the day before my IUI. However, for many people it depends on the meds you're on, with Clomid being a bit of a lining killer.
Went in for my ultrasound and blood work this morning. Now waiting on the call from my nurse, which won't be until probably noon at the earliest. My lining has thickened, I'm not at 5.34 mm. So it hasn't thickened a lot but that's a start. I've started drinking soy milk because I've read that helps and I've eaten some of a pineapple core as well. When I went to my appointment last week the woman measured a lot of my follies, this woman didn't. I am hoping maybe my nurse does. She had a hard time getting my left ovary, which doesn't make sense to me because the other woman had no problem.
Quick question for everything.. does your RE tell you not to BD without protection while on the medication? Mine does, but DH and I definitely BDd last night without protection. Condoms are so uncomfortable for me.

I now have 1 week done, 1 week to go in my TWW! I'm going to go crazy! I was slightly nauseous last night (laying down in bed and DH comes to kiss me, and I told him to hold off because I got that sudden nausea...he usually doesn't have that effect on me). And this morning I'm exhausted. I snoozed for 30 min, took a shower, and went back to bed to spoon with my dog for another 15. This could all be due to progesterone though, so I'm trying not to be too optimistic. How are you all doing? And GL to those getting their IUIs and betas this week!
@KidShrink One week left, not too bad!! When do you go in for your beta? I am not looking forward to how tired the progesterone is going to make me. I am on day 22 without coffee, so I really don't want to start back up on it. lol

8am next Monday! Excited and scared all at the same time. I never drank coffee (despite 10 years in university), so that piece isn't too much of a problem for me, but I hear you! When are you starting progesterone? I hope you don't have to, it's awful. But you gotta do what you gotta do...there's a baby at the end of this, right?!
Yay! It'll be here sooner than you think, just keep busy!
I start the progesterone when I get my IUI, not sure when that will be. I will probably have a better idea once I heard from my nurse later today about my ultrasound and bloodwork results. I hate the waiting for the phone calls... I imagine it is so much worse waiting for the beta results.

Went in for my baseline. There's lots of eggs but they found a cyst. So now have to wait to hear if it's an estrogen cyst. Whatever that means. Not sure what will happen if it is. On the plus side for my last iui I found out my husband had over 100 million sperm with 90% motility.
@Drove2u That's probably why AF was late! I had a cyst at the beginning of this cycle too, but if it's not producing estrogen, it means it'll just go away on its own and won't mess anything up. Mine was gone a few days later.
@KidShrink I hope that the lining is good enough! I have had headaches and so much bloating!!! It's nice though- the rest of the month I get to relax and wait (yeah right!). It is something that there is no more meds, shots or u/s until at least the 28th...
I hear most of you though, there is so much anxiety of having the 2ww. I have 11 days left- which seems forever
@Drove2u thats amazing on your DH's numbers. At least you don't have to worry about him.

@Drove2u : I think that's when it risks getting bigger and rupturing, but not 100% sure. I think in that case they would want to wait until it resorbs before stimulating you because they would risk stimulating the cyst, whereas if they don't produce estrogen, they're not responding to stimulation anyway.
It could happen. When they saw mine, they were pretty sure it was fine and told me not to worry about it. They didn't call back to change the plan, so we went ahead with it.
Had my cd 8 blood work and ultrasound this morning. Saw 1 great looking follow growing and a bunch of small ones that will hopefully catch up. Waiting to hear from the nurse to hear what dose meds to take and when to go back
@rachlee That's good! I am waiting on hearing back from my nurse too. I know I had at least one decent sized follie on the right hand side, but the technician didn't measure them. I thought that was weird. I wish she had, because I am curious!

@AdorkablePixie for you or anyone with lining issues, try red raspberry leaf tea every morning for the first 3weeks of the cycle. Day before IUI, I had ~6mm last cycle (no tea) and had almost 8mm this cycle! That was the only change I made. Huge help and doctor recommended. Def don't take after week 3 tho since it 'strengthens' the uterus a little too well.
Also- them not giving you numbers?! That frustrates me more than anything else! Grrr for you!
@HBamama2B I know! The one I saw last week did the numbers without me even asking! The only number I got was for my lining, which went up a little but not a ton. Where can I get the red raspberry leaf tea? I know raspberry tea, but it's the fruit celestial seasonings tea.

I am having my first IUI hopefully next Wednesday. We will find out at our follicle ultrasound on Monday if they are ready. This is our first round with any fertility medication so I am excited but nervous at the same time. Any tips or advice for the IUI procedure and even things that are supposed to help make it successful would be great!
Got my results. Everything's fine and I can start clomid tonight. Whoo hooo!!!
Yippee!

@AdorkablePixie I had to search for the right kind of red raspberry leaf tea. I bought the celestial tea at first too. After going to 3 supermarkets, I found the yogi tea.(picture attached) I found mine at Stop N Shop in the organic aisle. I'm sure organic stores, like trader joes or whole foods have them too! The yogi tea worked for me! Great results.
@AdorkablePixie and @Colleen0516 My DH picked up the one I have at whole foods. It's not yogi, but I'm sure they are similar. I also picked up some loose leaf at a tea shop near me. But yes, definitely the organic or specialty food stores should have it! Also, it's caffeine free in case you are worried.
@mummysmomma : I caved in today and ordered cheapies from Amazon. I know I won't be able to wait til next Monday, so at least I won't have DH bitching about how much money I'm spending on HPT! I'm SO tired and having nausea (which never happened to me while on progesterone before). I swear my body better not be playing with my mind for nothing!
@Colleen0516 After seeing your post, I just bought some from Amazon and will start next cycle (I'm currently 5 dpo on non-medicated, non-monitored cycle). Or, if I'm lucky, I'll start 2nd trimester. Thanks for the recommendation!
