Re: Hodor 2.0!!!

  • Of course @CandEChicago‌ would be all healthy and get it in a salad. Give me all the tortillas!

LOL. That lettuce is just on top. Can't do the tortillas since they are not gluten free.

  • I like chipotle salads! And I like alllll things fattening but sometimes a salad of theirs hits the spot!
  • Salt & vinegar chips are where it's at!
A further US/Canada divide: apparently Canada has something wonderful called "all dressed chips."

@desertsun - we have All Dressed chips in Maine as well - made by Humpty Dumpty (and they make damn good BBQ chips too - am I right, @mainemama ?)  I bought a bag of them on Saturday and I'm down to 1 serving... could be the longest I've ever had a bag of their chips
Oh man. REALLY want some chips now. I'll settle for BBQ in the absence of all dressed.

@jengallagher, I believe they are called all dressed b/c they have pretty much every flavor: BBQ, onion, salt & vinegar, etc.

  • All Dressed is like if you took the seasonings for all of the other flavours of chip and mixed them together. It is shockingly delicious. They're probably closest in flavour to BBQ chips?

Which makes sense because barbecue sauce is usually an unholy mix of different things..
  • We have Pickle chips in Virginia.  Now I want to go get a bag.

We have these in Maine too. My dad bought them this weekend thinking they were plain chips. I went to visit them and he was outraged about it because he didn't feel like they were labeled well enough! I thought they were quite disgusting.

  • @Anna930‌ they were humpty dumpty. It was like they were almost salt and vinegar, which are my favorite, but then they were ruined with other flavors. I'll send you the half eaten bag.
  • Still no dice on alcohol free witch hazel. I have a huge bottle of 98% aloe at home -- do you think that's okay for padsicles? Pretty much no one here sells 100% aloe.
Have you tried looking at health food stores?

    Also, Amazon.ca has this:

Also, Refreshers. I fell in love with them when studying abroad in England a decade ago.

@Slaps - Our Smarties aren't even the same as the British ones, unfortunately. :( I think the British ones are different flavours for each colour (or maybe just the orange ones), right? Ours are all just one flavour.

Just the Orange ones are flavoured.
@MissChristineMarie‌ I get some of the English treats from world market, but when I know how much they cost in the UK sometimes I refuse to pay what they have them priced at, plus they don't sell English crisps.
But I get my tea bags and other stuff from them, like Heinz soups and baked beans!
My British client friend hits Amazon for all of his UK treats
  • @misskilljoy I don't think that's too many hats, because they are adorable. I really like how you've organized everything--I need to go to the Container Store.

  • @Anna930, I don't get HGTV, but I loooove watching it at other people's houses, and I have been watching Property Brothers on Netflix since someone mentioned it being on there now. I noticed a bit of accent that I thought was Canadian, so I googled, and sure enough!

I googled too when I heard the slight accent. "Proceed," "about," "out." Adorable. But Jonathan's bleached hair in season one? I'm having 90s flashbacks

  • Wait. We say "proceed" differently? I knew about any word with "ou" in it because of "Canadian raising" (a linguistic phenomenon that only occurs in Canada and a very limited part of the US) but I have never heard that we say "proceed" differently!

Every time I get on voice chat with my old guild mates from Guild Wars 2, I end up saying something that they tease me for because of my accent.
Haha At least with the brothers, the "o" in "proceed" is pronounced with a slight accent. And they say proceed a lot.

And I keep being tempted to buy GW2. I was an avid player of GW1 for years. And GW2 keeps going on sale for 50% off too >.<

  • Sorry, I kmow this thread is for regs, but I really am trying to participate more now that I'm on maternity leave. Anyway, I went to my 37 week appt this morning and before my husband went to work, I made a big show of vacuuming downstairs. After he left, I have been laying in bed watching Thanksgiving cooking shows on Food Network and googling gourmet cheeses online. I really love cheese.

You-- you guys have sour cream and onion flavoured chips, right?
    Cheddar and sour cream Ruffles.
    Orgasmic.
    And Dill pickle Lays.
    And jalapeno cheetos.
    And Honey BBQ Lays.

I may or may not be eating Cheddar and Sour cream chips right now to follow up my awesomely (un)healthy lunch.

Also, I am almost out of ramen and will make a trip to the store for this sole purpose.

I seriously have zero clue how I am still losing weight.
  • So I received my new phone via UPS 2 hours ago. Just realized the camera doesn't work. I connect with online chat support. I tell her all the troubleshooting I've done and she recommended a phone restore. Then tells me she recommends I back up any pictures I have taken onto my computer... uhhh, camera doesn't work >.<

  • Maybe the beanie baby is to make up for her rule following?

You might have a froyo addiction when....the employees make beanie babies for you. ;)

@MissChristineMarie‌ I love that you go there so much you lunch with them and they make you gifts lol!!!! My coworker told me a customer dropped off a gift for me yesterday - a bouquet of flowers made out of baby socks. Super cute right? The only issue - they're all pink. She knows I'm having a boy Haha Oddly enough I got a few girl sleepers at my shower, also from people who knew I was having a boy.
I'd likely still use them, but I'm the mama who let her 2 year old son wear a dress out in public, albeit, Whole Foods. But, it was in Georgia, which isn't known for its open-mindedness and acceptance of diversity. He's worn dresses and girls shirts (his sisters) out in public, and I couldn't give a rat's ass. I've also painted his nails, and he sports long curly hair. Ladies love his hair.

My dad, super conservative/fundamentalist Christian, does not like that he has long hair. :eyeroll: My heathen ass doesn't care.

Ruby has some "boy" clothes, onesies and sleepers. Mostly superhero/nerd/geek related stuff.

  • I got a bunch of boy clothes and blue /green blankets at my shower and I'm having a girl. People know me too well though, I really don't want her all in pink. Her room is overwhelmed with pink right now and I don't like it!

<---- Does not like pink. Most of her stuff is decidedly NOT pink. I have a lot of neutral and non-pastel colors.

I'm originally from Cincinnati! Can he bring me some pizza from Larosas? And one of their cherry cokes! Mmmmmmm. Lol

Yes larosas!! If only it would travel well.

And he's bringing me cans of gold star. I'm so excited for coneys!
  • @MissChristineMarie‌ the dirty/muddy/pee on everything boy describes my brothers perfectly. My oldest brother used to "helicopter" in front of the tv when we were kids just to make me mad and send me crying to our mom. I just had a flash image of the next many years if my life, so much penis showing!!!
