  • Thanks for the advice ladies! I called (definitely using the website phone number) and talked to someone there and its not a scam. They put someone else's payment onto my account, so the check they sent my was not mine at all.   :((  Nice to know I'm not being scammed, but more frustrating since now I actually have to pay it back. And it was a lot of money too. I just don't even understand how this can happen. After all my loans have been paid off for over a year. You'd think someone would have noticed that before this all happened! If I could get my hands on the idiot who screwed this up...

  • Am I the only one who thought the Japanese "beauty product" is really a sex toy?

    I'm gagging looking at the photo.

    I think that's what Vinny thought and why she shared it with us, but my question is: is it really intended to be a beauty product?? If so, what the heck is its purpose?

  • Isis is the Islamic group going around from town to city telling everyone to convert to Islam or die. So they kill everyone. They are super anti-American and are now promising to pay people to move back to their motherland, so people are starting to move out of places (America, Australia, Europe..) or starting to form their own groups of terror. An Isis group in Australia is just shooting random people that walk by them...

  • @RedDawnsRevenge‌ Good luck!!

    @KatieGummow‌ your boys are so stinkin' cute!

    My kid is so sweaty!
  • I'm really struggling with daycare guilt. I don't feel guilty that LO goes to daycare, I know he loves it there. That's kind of the problem. I feel like he loves being there more than he loves being home. I've been dealing with such a grumpy Gus lately mornings, nights, and weekends and the daycare lady always says he was perfectly pleasant all day. When DH drops him off he starts laughing and kicking, but when I pick him up the daycare lady just holds him and says "who's that?? Is that momma?" And we just stand there awkwardly everyday waiting for some sort of reaction from DS before she finally hands him over. He just blankly stares at me. It makes me so sad. He is refusing to nurse 80% of the time and I'm almost dried up now so we're hardly boding through nursing anymore.

    My mom reassured me that kids always know who their mama is, but it just seems like LO would rather be at daycare and it makes me so sad.

    Can antibiotics make my EBF girly sleepy? I was put on an antibiotic for an upcoming dental procedure, started taking it yesterday morning and now A's sleeping a hell of a lot more than she normally does. Maybe the magical sleep unicorn is visiting me for a day, but it's a little worrying...

    Probably not. Is A-Game growing? 8-}
    Yup, and aside from sleeping more than usual today she's eating and having wet diapers normally as well. Her 6-month appointment isn't until sometime next month, so I won't know exactly how much she's grown until then. ^^;;

  • Thanks for the nice words. Although it sucks of all working mamas, I'm glad I'm not the only one that has these feelings on occasion. I guess I'm just really worried that he will bond more with the daycare lady than me since we only spend 2-3 hours a day together.

  • I purposefully ignore that ISIS madness. It has me worried about DH potentially deploying again and missing parts of LOs life. He already missed the birth. No more please.

    The few days I left JH with my mom, when I'd get him he wouldn't even look at me he'd move to look around me totally giving me the cold shoulder. It's heartbreaking
    I'm getting this now. She went from being super excited to see me when I get home, to not even really caring and looking for DH everywhere (DH stays home, she doesn't go to daycare). It sux.

    I'm worried too. I know it's part of the territory but the past two years I've been lucky and he hasn't had to leave, the Isis situation just brings a whole other level to my worry.
  • @Vinny424‌ I'm that dumb all the time about most things in the media. Don't feel bad.

    @mamrotu73‌ We don't have any furniture except for beds and a coffee table, and we've lived here for 6 weeks. :-<

    My husband just told me there are identical twin boys at his school, and they have the same name. The only difference is one is junior, and the other is the III. :|

  • LO is so nosey these days when she's nursing. She hears something interesting or someone talking and rrriiipppp, off she pops to look around. It's so much easier to feed her when we're home alone during the day!

    Glad to know this is happening to others ;)

  • Yeah, most of the news lately kicks my anxiety into overdrive. I sometimes have to take a media break or I get a bit obsessive. Ebola? Isis? Stolen airplanes (where did those go, anyway?)? I'll go bury my head in the sand now.

  • My sister ships out for boot camp in January. I know I should be watching the news but I can't. I'm sure future and new sailors won't be involved immediately but I am still uneasy about it all
  • @Jessimax‌ from the description of the job the RN assess the pt in hospital or at home s/p claim. They state they are looking for someone with a background in managed care with 5+ ER years. (Or other CC) Honestly the only thing that matches that, that I can think of are the VA and Kaiser, and not every VA hospital has an ER. I figure I have nothing to lose at this point. Did talk to a recruiter for a travel agency that might have openings in NC. But Ca is not a compact state (for licensure), and you can only do a live-scan from within the state. So if I do that we are looking at 8-10+ weeks to even get a temp license. So I'm leaning much towards this insurance gig. Did talk to an AF recruiter today that said they are only accepting doctoral candidates for officers. I laughed. Honest to god if you have the money to get a doctorate in nursing you probably don't need to join the military.

    I am not sure if this has been answered yet because I am a tad behind but you have to hit the on button twice for it to rotate colors.
