It's good they're just about old enough for sippies. (Sippys?) I hope the bottle works though. I feel for you mommas who are struggling with bottle refusers!
I feel for you mommas too! I was the bottle refusing baby for my mom. I never (and I do mean never) took a bottle. Luckily my mom didn't work, and she had a sitter who could put up with my screaming when she and my dad did want to go out (not only was I stubborn, I was a comfort nurser). My mom still talks about that girl like she was a saint!
I still pray that that portion of the Mothers' Curse (the I can't wait until one day you have kids just like you) never comes back to bite me in the arse.
Ok, another Dallas ladies question. (I should just group pm you ladies or something). We are planning on going to the Texas state fair either the 4th or the 11th. The 11th is Texas/ OSU. Bad idea to go then? Will it be super busy? Also, we want to spend a night or two in a hotel. Is there an area close that's fun to stay overnight in or should we do our old stand by of Frisco?
P. loves falling asleep to Symphony style music so we got him the Star Wars soundtrack do you think that will give him nightmares from the more intense scenes??
September Siggy Challenge: What I Sing in the Shower: Little Mermaid "Part Of That World"
@KendraColeslaw not super swank but not "sleep with one eye open so you don't get robbed". I like staying in frisco because of the shopping, but that's the only area we know. We're going to be celebrating our anniversary so I'd like to be somewhere fun.
Follow up question: we're planning on the whole weekend. Bumpie date at some point?
Daycare asked for bigger bottles for DD. Ugh. I send her with 4 oz bottles. There is no ducking way she is taking more than that from me based on my pumping. I really hope this isn't the beginning of the end of BFing because I can't keep up as it is!
I'm running into the same thing ((hugs)) it feels like I'm always pumping.

OMG DO NOT go during the Red River Rivalry Week (say that 3x fast). You will be stuck in the worst traffic you've ever seen. So yes, it'll be super busy. And what's your budget for a hotel?
Attending the fair during the game is actually pretty awesome because the rest of the grounds is practically empty for that 4 hours. But, yeah, traffic is terrible and hotel prices are jacked up. I'd go as late in the fair season as possible; fewer people and better chance at cooler temps. The Palomar (recently changed names to The Highland) is a very nice hotel in a great location that isn't crazy expensive. Frisco is sooooooo farrrrrrrrr. My ILs live there and I swear it's halfway to OK.
Well I live in OK so that's why we usually stay there! But we have to swap something at the rough riders (DH works for that company) so we have to head down there before the 14th. And since traffic gets under my skin like no other I guess we'll have to go the 4th!
Hey all! Big week for this mama. My baby girl started preschool and I won two VIP passes to an exclusive movie premier, so DH and I went on a date! We got an amazing dinner, went to the theater and had a few celebs sing, watched the movie and danced our faces off at the after party.
Here's this hot little number I was SO excited to fit into.
Wait,,,,,, I missed drama with Poppy, again?! Someone link me or explain. Also, glad my name didn't come up in the hate you thread, lol.
The toddler will not poop at school; I don't think she unclenches all day. Which is fine, whatever. But now it's like she's SAVING IT UP. And she only poops in her sleep. So like, this morning: woke up all poopy. I put her down for a nap at 1...at 1:30 she's still awake so I go upstairs: POOP. Change her. Put her back in bed. I can still hear her upstairs kicking the GDed wall. GO TO SLEEP. And POOP ON THE TOILET. Or at least be pleasant, and stop crying every time your granola bar breaks in half!

Have you talked to them about doing paced feeding? Also ask how they are holding LO. My daycare did the same and stressed me out til I realized they were 1) lying him flat on his back to eat and just holding the bottle and 2) they weren't burping him or giving him breaks, so he was literally finishing a 20 minute meal in less than 5. I've got some links I can send you when I get home with more info, if you'd like
Eta slow on the draw, sorry for the repeat lol
Gonna kill my DH! GONNA KILL 'IM! Dude is such a troll.
We currently have one car, and I needed it today because the kids had appointments so he walked to work (maybe a 30 minute walk?). The plan was that I was going to go to him on his lunch break and trade off the car (he would drop me off and go back to work). So he calls me on his lunch break and says "Hey babe, I'm on my lunch break, can you come pick me up now?" So I'm all like SURE, HUBBY!
I go outside and can't find the car anywhere. Like... Am I on drugs? I know I parked right in front of our apartment, didn't I? I walked back and forth the area in front of our apartments a few times looking for the car, hitting the panic button to find it. Nothing happens. Did our car get towed? Did someone steal our car? What the hell? No, this motherfucker DH walked all the way home and picked it up without telling me and then drove back to work before calling me to come get him.
Troooooollllll in the dungeon!
Note: Not actually mad. I find it hilarious. I just now feel the need to get him back in some way.

@acaawkward we just had the easiest time pee potty training. But he is still too scared to try pooping. And he has pooped in his underwear everyday this week at school. I am scared for this weekend cause I don't want to deal with it.
Ugggggggg poop in the underwear is the worst! she still wears a diaper at night and nap so I haven't had to deal with that too, too much but when I have... ick. I admit I've tossed most of the underpants she's pooped in. Ain't nobody got time to scrub shit off cheap Frozen undies... especially if they are Olafs and not Elsas.

I remember Honest Toddler talking about this and it made me start to fear toddler-hood. All of the little things that cause melt downs. Yikes.

I read this as cheap, frozen underwear... as in you store your child's underwear in the freezer. Perhaps you dunk it in water and mold it over a ball so it can be worn cold.
And then "Dang. How do I not remember her kids having such weird names?"
...
"Waaaaiiiit. I'm dumb."
Oooooo I just chuckled so hard, the nursing baby side-eyed me!

People warned me about the "food breakage meltdowns," but we've managed to avoid them...until yesterday at Target when I seriously think the entire store learned of the INJUSTICE that is a BROKEN GRANOLA BAR ZOMG. Repeat performance today at play group! 3 cheers for another irrational tantrum trigger!
Picked my pup up from daycare and her foot was all bandaged up. Turns out she ripped her dang toenail off! Poor girl. I can tell she's in pain and it hurts my heart!

This is us with graham crackers lately. I remember being in college, full of hopes and dreams, not realizing someday I would spend my days arguing with a 2 yr old who is melting down over the 4th GD cracker he has broken.
I take any and all advice about daycare and bottle feeding a BF baby @smushi! I talked to her afternoon teacher and she is waaaay better than morning teacher lady. She gets it. Thank you baby Jesus!
There is the Kelly Mom one then there is also this link:
@LuckySquare Aww, I'm sorry. What would you say are some of the things you miss most about Texas?
Sorry for the delay: was playing with crayons and markers with the toddler.
Lol, first and foremost I miss my family and friends. I miss Buc-ee's (specifically their jerky). I miss HEB and Kroger's. I miss Garden Ridge. I miss Bluebell ice cream tours. I miss Sugarland. I miss Dallas and Austin. I miss driving I-45 between Houston and Dallas (did it every two weeks my freshman year of college to visit my parents.) I miss the cow pastures... surprisingly.
I miss more than I thought I would.
I can relate to I-45! My husband went to Sam Houston, and we would go home about once a month or every other month for 3 years. I got so good at it I could probably do it with my eyes closed.
Did you know Buccee's is like a huge thing now?? It started out around here where I'm from, but they're eeeveryyywhere now. I have to admit I've never had their jerky. Have you ever stopped at that one place in Centerville with the jerky? Theirs is sooo good!
My Bradley method classes were in Sugarland, and I went there a lot when I lived in Rosenberg.
You're brave to move so far away. So glad I fell in love with a Texan. I don't know if I could move so far off! >:D<

I propose a happy hour/ Gif Roast thread. eg, Roast a bumpie with a gif that illustrates them, their posting style, or something relevant to their posts lately. But you have to call them out directly with a bat signal. Thems the rules.
I used to stop at Buccee's traveling from San Antonio to NoLa, and I just didn't get the hype. Obviously I was missing out on whatever was so amazing there...
Yeah I just like their bathrooms. The ones in my area are so tiny and unimpressive!

We are currently going through 18oz/day at daycare, which doesn't seem completely unreasonable. Total consumption is around 34oz/day.
I sat down to Pinterest "cleaning kitchen grout" and got lost here.... Aaaand now Carter woke up. Fml. Lyfe is hard.
