  • I just got home from work, its only 3pm (monday here) and DD feels very warm, has rosy cheeks and slightly glassy eyed. teething vs cold?? no temp - already tested that.

Sigh could be in for a long few days! still got to 4.5m and no illness yet so we count ourselves lucky!

  • Skipping so many posts. T&Ps for everyone who needs them! But so exciting about the exchange! Can't wait. I had family here over the weekend and It was so nice to have 4 babysitters to just pass LO off to. He still won't fall asleep for anyone except for me. I am 4 days without caffeine and totally dying, but DS' gas is a million times better. I'm so sad thinking that I won't have coffee for another few months. :((
When I have my morning coffee, I'll pour a little out for you in reverence to your dead coffee addiction. Rest in peace, @MrsStanton87‌ 's love of coffee.
I'm back on decaf. I'll keep a second mug full just for you.

  • My sister just published her website, to try to get more jobs teaching. It's epically horrible. I tried to give her critism in a constructive maner. But as always she got emotional. I'm kind of hoping people see it like that now. Complete face palm.
  • Praying for you @3crazykitties‌! Sorry it's late, I'm catching up.

  • Have started Jessica on solids - purees at this point until she can sit on her own. Was originally done kinda out of curiosity because she was paying a lot of attention to us eating, wanting to try stuff, and now she throws herself at the spoon and I do mean that literally! mouth open and everything! And if she isn't getting something when we are eating dinner she gets very annoyed! only been a couple of days but crazy!

@mrsstanton87 We can be miserable together. I've been off caffeine since J was 1.5 months. Just tried reintroducing it and her tummy still can't take it. The last week and a half with coffee may have been the best of my life. I miss it so. :((

Ughhh I was hoping J could handle it, as a beacon of faith. Darn it. Have you tried decaf? Is it just as bad?
Decaf seems fine. I'd have a decaf latte on Sundays on our way to church and it didn't seem to bother her much. I wouldn't chance it every day though. I gave coffee another shot for a while, nine glorious days, thinking every baby can have off days and some days she seemed pretty fine. But in the end she was doing gas screams for sure, so back to occasional decaf and no chocolate. It's a pretty cruel joke that right in the middle of the worst sleep deprivation of my life I get told to try nixing the coffee. The good news is I saw her feeling better the day after I cut it back out, and only had a few minor episodes since. So the recovery time is quick if you ever slip and just have to have a cup. On the up side, I'm hoping this means I can have major dairy back! If I can't have coffee, I'd settle for real ice cream.

  • Ugh! So night 4 of the MM sleepsuit and it was only magic for 2 days. He woke up a bunch again the past two nights. I hate this. We've had crap sleep for 2 months. How much longer can this last? I wish I liked coffee.

I came in from making breakfast to find my boys like this. Instead of eating breakfast at the table like every other morning, DS1 brought it down to G and they laid together talking.

    So sweet!

Why must you talk to your farts at 4am child? And then at 6 sing to your feet?

"I'm not hungry or anything. I just like talking loudly in the dark. It's my favorite."

    Sounds like my LO....
  • DS used to talk all the time. Now he is very inquisitive, but quiet. If he does make a noise it's a laugh or squeal. I wish he would talk more.

  • MIL left this morning! Ugh. She is so loud and messy and needy and I was hoping she'd help out a little with the baby because she was really excited to meet her, but there was very little she was willing to do. If she had a wet diaper or needed a bottle she'd just hand her back to me. And her loud voice scared the baby. But I'm glad her husband got a chance to meet LO and spend time with the kids because I really think this is the last time we are going to see him. He's old and frail and not in the best of health. So sad :(

I noticed that this weekend as well (except at night per my precious post!) I think it might be because she is teething and is distracted by her teeth.
  • @Vinny424 I would post a pic but I'm pumpin n bumpin.

How old is he? Edolie just turned 20 weeks today, and she was like this for a while (maybe a couple of weeks?). She went from talking all the time to being very quiet and observant, but now she's back to talking a lot. And maybe age doesn't have anything to do with it. Maybe they just go through little phases. :)

Same thing happened with Merriwether. She'll be 20 weeks on Wednesday. She's back to jabbering away. Consult Wonder Weeks maybe? I wouldn't be too worried about it! Our babies are going through so many changes and learning so freaking much!

  • @PoppySeedWindsor‌ @edoliesmom he just turned 20 weeks. He is talking more everyday, but it has yet to restore back to before. The pedi said he was great, so I guess I shouldn't worry. Good to know other babies went through that stage too.

  • About to take G to his 6 month check up!! How is he so big already? He actually doesn't turn 6 months until the 28th, but we start our moving process next week so they wanted to see him once more before we left.
