any other march moms hit that next wonder week? i realized today that we are in week 12 and holy shit! that explains so much. no sleeping during the day, screaming and fighting sleep, increase of food and the crankiest little boy.
We are going into week 11...i'm scared. Very scared.
Lots of creepy internet hugs to @colleenswerb and @fourthandlast-- that sounds so tough and I'm sorry that you're dealing with a rough period with LO's.
@biggerinreallife we're having the same issues with DD. She'll go 5 days between poops and will get super fussy from gas. Then, a tremendous blowout (which she has a knack for doing in public!) and repeat for another 5 days. It's frustrating because our Pedi assures me that it's normal and keeps suggesting things I've already tried.
@pineconey I think that was a baaah-d idea. Then again, maybe it could help Asher become as athletic as this little fellow?
All the hugs @colleenswerb and @fourthnlast (and the others with needy babies). It's so hard not to have a minute to yourself sometimes. I hope things get better for you soon.
@aviola329 my right side is a mega producer compared to my left as well (due to some surgeries that I had a long time ago). I try to pump more on my left to stimulate the demand and it does seem to be producing better this time than with DS1. I'm always sure to pump for the full 2 minutes after the milk stops on that side.
I found picture backups for the past month, so at least we are only missing stuff from month 1. Luckily we have the hospital pictures on our regular camera, all the pics from our newborn photo shoot and I have 15ish that I posted on FB/Instagram, so not the end of the world. I still want to kick myself though because I had hundreds of pics of Owen on my phone
DH is failing at night time "experiments" that I think are actually just laziness. DS wet through EVERYTHING last night so for the night feed I gave DH a different swaddle to put on him. DH says that he will just put him in his sleep sack, despite me reminding him that this kid has only been sleeping well with the swaddle. Well, what do you know, DH feeds him, rocks him to sleep, lays him down and the arms start flailing! I get that there's a lot of "it's not the wrong way, it's just not my way", by some things you have to just go with what works. What works is the right way, and the swaddle works.

Good luck @puresparkKnock me dead. And yay cy and all the other babies with long sleep stretches. DH and I both got 7 hours of sleep this morning. Now we are eating breakfast together reading the news while kids sleep. I joked that in 10 years when we have teenagers, this is gonna be our normal quiet hour together.
This made me lol. But for reals, @purespark hope the interview goes well! Good luck!!!!
I hate having to get snippy with my MIL and SIL. They always mean well but they always think they are doing me a favor by snatching up Lucas when he starts to fuss. Usually they just make it worse. When I ask for him they always say something like "no you eat" I don't want to eat I want to soothe my baby and you clearly aren't doing it right!
Yes!!! I know YOU don't mind holding my fussy baby, MIL. My BABY minds!
Gah! Got dd to sleep in the bouncer, until the stupid vibrations shut off! Stupid manufactures, don't you know vibrations should be longer than 15 minutes! Naps are longer than that!
And yay for a better morning @ColleenSwerb, hope she keeps up the good behavior!
DD was good for DH while I had my 6wks check-up, slept the whole time Nursing her now - totally leaked all through the gown but at least I didn't spray him, lol. Got the all clear, but he said I healed pretty tight and just the exam hurt so we'll see...
With the possible exception of the equator, everything begins somewhere. - C.S.Lewis
@Jessieann1020 guilty! I totally don't put on Keeping Up because if I do I have to watch the next 10 episodes (always on a marathon) to see what crazy debauchery those three create.
I have used the bottle brush to clean out my wine glass... The shape is just too perfect for a wine glass. I do rinse it really well after though. I should probably stop.

Story of my life! I get so irritated at that damn bouncer. I'm to the point where I hardly ever turn it on anymore because it just causes problems after 30 minutes.
My kid has a really hard time sleeping anywhere but his beloved bouncy seat now. And he peed all over it. This morning's naps in the PNP have been rough while the bouncy cover is being laundered.
@ebie79 - I feel for you. I am dreading the first day of day care, which is coming up faster than I want to think about. I hope the day goes smoothly for you!
@P&B715 it was at Vacation Bible School and she was the lady in charge of the nursery kids of the workers! Guess who isn't going in nursery the rest of the week? If she's ok with that, I'm not ok with her watching George. I'll just wear him.
Swerb- our dd's must have talked last night and decided to help their mom's out today! Emma took a 3 hour morning nap, it was 6-9am, but still...1 hour mid morning and has been pretty chill all day.
After spending $ on slings and cheap baby carriers, i finally pounced on an ergo on ebay. Omg!!!! Best purchase ever!!!!
Keeping Up With The Kardashians is my guilty pleasure show. I love Khloe and I feel so sad for her right now! Someone else confess to loving this show so I am not the only one...
Love the Kardashians . And housewives. And chrisley knows best .
@dani+california my guy never takes his naps in his crib. Sleeps in there at night but daytime sleeping is in his bouncer or mamaroo or my lap. Usually the bouncer in the kitchen sunshine though because he seems to love to nap there over other rooms. I think I'll likely make him nap in his crib when he's a couple months older and has fewer naps
Hey ladies! Hope it's not too weird of me to want to get in on the RTT action after 1600 pages and I hope you'll have me Been mostly an occasional lurker and love titter but I feel the time has come. I have no intentions on lightening up on my bumping addiction, because let's face it, when LO is passed out in the Ergo and all I can do is pace my house and play on my phone, what the hell else am I gonna do? But the other threads just aren't cutting it anymore (what do you mean there are no new posts after a WHOLE HOUR?!?) and I think this one will carry on.
Hugs to those who also can't get their LO's to nap anywhere but right on them, my back is killing me and we just changed insurance so I'm not sure if chiro is still covered. It's on my to-do list for today but she's been asleep in this damn Ergo for almost two hours and I am NOT fucking this up with a phone call!! Continue to pace and eat cookies I shall.
Keeping up with the Kardashians is also my guilty pleasure show (please do not tell DH he will divorce my ass) and I seriously love Khloe. Kourtney's a close second, and Kim can pretty much suck it.
Welcome to the RTT. I should have put LO in the Ergo, she's sleeping on my chest, so i'm stuck on the couch right now.
Hey guise my home town made it into the huffington post! What for? For a prostitute trying to drum up some business at the local library. First line of the article..."some books are to be tasted, others to be swallowed" nice.
Week 9 has been more of a struggle than week 8... Clingy baby who likes to make sad faces and terrible noises to get our attention. Waking up every time I try to move, but how can you be mad at this cuteness?
Aiden got circumcised today. We couldn't do it at the hospital when he was born because the Dr.'s thought it would make his already patchy blood sugar levels tank, and I never want to have to wait this long again. I could hear him screaming through the whole procedure since he was hungry and tired to boot. Now my poor baby is a screaming upset mess, unless he's passed out on me exhausted from screaming.
Glad I took the day off/worked from home - I feel terrible for him!
Is it bad that LO has most of his naps in my arms? His longest one especially...like 2-3 hours. I can put him down if I need to...I'm just usually relaxing or watching a movie anyway. I just don't want to create any bad habits for the future...when do you normally start putting them down for naps in their crib?
We started crib naps with DS1 around 4 months, but he would sleep in either the PNP or RNP in the living room. Right now Owen usually either naps on me in the Moby or in the RNP during the day. He's been a great sleeper at night, but I like making sure he gets daytime vs. nighttime sleep before I start using his crib during the day.

This is the first of my 4 who thinks daytime sleeping needs to happen on someone. I will do chest or ergo for a little longer and then try crib naps again. She's a champ crib sleeping at night, i don't know why she hates it so much during the day. But it's more important that she takes a nap than where she sleeps.
I made the best dinner last night. Steak, shrooms, pasta salad and fruit salad. We had DH's friend over to celebrate wIth him because he didn't have his daughter due to baby mama drama. We sat around the fire and bs'd. The kids went down early and DH and I had a super make out sesh with a happy ending. It was awesome. It was the first time DS slept for more than two hours, and I got from 8-4 outta the little guy. DH is at work for three hours today and then I go pick him up to bring him to the doctor. Hopefully that goes well. Erin is having her cousin over for a camping themed sleep over. Hamburgers, hot dogs, junk food n smores. We're going to make mason jar night lights that you pour glitter and the middle of glow sticks in and they look like glow bugs. Im super excited.
@dani+california we have a pack and play downstairs that I put him in when he naps. A few days ago I put him in his crib to nap upstairs but that was because I was upstairs putting away laundry and cleaning. He seems too far away to nap upstairs yet alone!!
On our first road trip!!! Woohoo! Going to NYC to hang out with my bestie and meet our niece (DH sister), born 5/29!! Baby cousins keep sleeping Andrew....

@Emily041285 I just can't quit ice cream. I thought it was a pregnancy thing... Nope. I need it. But I also need it with Oreos or brownies, or both. I need to wean myself down to frozen yogurt or sorbet!!!

Ice cream is totally my stress relief lately! Pre baby I would go running. Two opposite ends of the spectrum huh?
Thanks for all the support, ladies. It helps me emotionally at least. I love you all.
@KatieGummow We do put Vaseline on the thermometer. It's basically doing what the suppository does, because that's pure glycerin. Gets things all lubed up do she can't hold on to it, or something.
@mamrotu73 That's a good idea. I got a doctor appointment fur Wednesday, so I'll ask about probiotics. It works for us, why not work for her? I'd think my breastmilk would be probiotic enough, but who knows? I'll try anything.
@kcp913 I've been giving her an ounce of pure prune juice a day in a bottle. It's one of the things the ped suggested and hasn't worked. Thanks for the suggestion, though. Maybe it'll be the key for someone reading this!
I'm so happy for you all with your sleeping babies! Go A14 kiddos!

@colleenswerb share away! I know I really appreciated all the car seat tips before I joined the board I really didn't know much I won't lie. If I had to transport kids while babysitting or whatever I always had the parents install the car seat or base it's amazing to me looking back at how many parents were doing it incorrectly. This board has really opened my eyes in all different kinds of things I think people will appreciate the guidance.
