@lia619, I'm sorry. It is very frustrating to be treated like you're always on duty!
We're in the same boat because DS won't regularly take a abottle, and DH has done nothing to help me in that regard. I keep explaining that it doesn't make sense for me to be the one giving the bottles, that he needs to do it and make it a priority because I need a break (and this is our 2nd kid! We had the same battle with kid 1). He just comes home and starts on housework and I'm tired of having to tell him to come hang out with his kid, that HE is what I need help with, not the effing house!!! It took me having a crying screaming fit at him yesterday, but I think he gets it. I literally had to say, "I'm drowning here. I need help. Imagine that you couldn't leave the house by yourself for 9 weeks. The housework can wait. I can't." So we'll see.

Ugh add me to the want to TP a so club! I call DH in tears last night because I am so tired. Apparently dd thinks she should go back to waking up every two hours and not sleep during the day. I know he has a busy weekend at work but he says he can't give me a break till Tuesday! Then he proceeds to take his sweet time getting home from work so I deal with a baby who won't go back to bed.
This morning he's been sleeping for 6 hours straight. (I haven't gotten that in a long time) I bring her up to him to see if he'll watch her while I pump. He goes back to bed with her wide awake on the bed. So here I am, watching her kick on the play mat while he sleeps.
I think what pisses me off more is that he barely sees her and this is his opportunity and he's missing it.
I hear you ladies regarding husbands not really helping Mine wanted to go away overnight last night . When I wasn't thrilled about it he stayed home but left early this morning for the day! Like wtf we have a newborn there are no breaks! Here
Also pissed because he couldn't sleep this morning so got up at four and watched movies He so could have taken care of the baby when he fussed at five am and woke at seven but I guess it didn't occur to him Sorry vent over
sounds like we need at TP to SO thread! LO woke up at 5:30 and was hungry. my BF decided that LO needed a shower and playtime instead of putting him back to sleep after his bottle. then has the nerve to ask me at 7:15 why is he crying and fussy! uhh because he is fucking tired and should have been put back in his bed. guess who will be the one handling the fussy baby all day? sure won't be him
My DH doesn't need a TP--but only b/c he thinks helping will get him some sexy time. ;;)
Oh lord, don't even get me started on sexy time. Dude, you're less than helpful and then pout when I don't give you sexy time? Take a load off me and I'll take a load off you.
Err.... So to speak.

Getting excited about it being almost the 25th - planning on kicking off a Christmas in July tradition with the girls. Did a little bit last year but putting a little more planning and effort in this year. No gifts or excessive decorating, but definitely crafts and music and food. Wheeeeeee...
Realizing we still have a coupon from the holidays for a free turkey (courtesy of DH's work) that expires in August... We didn't host so we never used it. Hmmm...
You should definitely include a trip to bronners!

@mamrotu73 Ahhh! I can do it! Totally makes sense and I can do it as long as I'm singing Carol of the Bells in my head! (I think that's what you meant?) Awesome! I've been able to do rhythms that are easily divisible by each other for a long time, but triplets and eighth notes... That's talent!
I love talking music with people on here!

It cracks me up watching DH change the baby. Big man bending over a table, and all I an see of her is teeny tiny hands and legs waiving in the air to a chorus of baby coos. :x )

I thought I'd be more self-conscious to NIP since I've never been around anyone who's done it, but I've done it in the middle of clothing stores, restaurants, at the dentist, etc. My favorite place was in someone's garage during a garage sale (I asked first, DH was slightly embarrassed). LO goes from zero to a hundred when hungry, so I feed her ASAP. :-)
Farmers market frenzy this morning!!! We bought all the foodsssss! Bok choy, Swiss chard, onions, snap peas, berries, beef... Oh man. Can't wait to cook!

Ba-BAM!!! I NIPed it all up in my neighborhood diner! WithOUT the Boppy! Who knew armrests would make all the difference! Was gonna go sans cover, too, as I was feelin' my oats, but people were eating. I made DH snap a pic for y'all, I was so proud. Note the teeny tiny toes hanging serenely out the side. Brunch, babies, and boobies, yo!
I want a clubhouse sandwich so bad but I have a feeling Dh will be "tired " after his day away and will want to just get take out . I rarely leave the house aside from baby related errands and groceries . Eating a sandwich in public is exciting for me !
Owen takes a pacifier for up to about 5 minutes, and then usually ejects it and sucks on his hand. I'm not sure if trying a different brand will help since he will take this one for awhile? Am I just stuck having a hand sucker?
Forgive me I'm way behind!
My LO isn't a fan either but seems to like the gumdrop ones better. We use it occasionally for short spurts, then wants my finger instead. I plan on continueing to offer it and see what happens.
Some days - make that many days - I wish it was acceptable to nurse your child in a moving car. Someone needs to figure out a safe way to do that. Le sigh.
@AprilMay9 I use charlies and really like it but lots of people have luck with plain old original tide powder. In an he machine powder isn't technically recommended. People use it anyway, or you can predissolve it in some water. Liquid detergents have gelling agents that can cause problems.
Mama to a little girl born July 2011 and a little boy born April 2014!
Aiden was having a pretty good week when it cane to nursing/taking a bottle. Got the new reflux meds working, and was testing giving up dairy to see if that is his problem. Went out to dinner last night and accidentally ate something with dairy. Aiden hasn't eaten well for half the day.
I was really hoping dairy wasn't the problem, but that's starting to look like it. I hate going dairy free! (
@aprilmay hmmmm I have an old washer (top loader) so I use homemade (powder) Could you dissolve powder in water to put in? I don't know much about HE machines

Dear LO,
Please, please, PLEASE for the love of God, take a bottle!!! Mommy needs a drink!
The need to drink probably woudln't be nearly as strong if this child would take a bottle!
