Now I'm up with a crying toddler. He wants me to stay up with him. I just want sleep. Luckily I was able to tag team DH, so he's up with DS and I'm laying awake in bed listening to them.

Thanks girl. I have an appointment on Wednesday. I am set up on a plan that we mapped out long ago with his pediatrician- medication wise. I'm just uncomfortable that it can make him sleepy and I feel incredibly guilty. I need to revisit our current plan with them and see what will work for us.

Pretty sure I'm in labor! Been having pretty steady contractions since 2 and now they are about 6 minutes apart. DH and I are getting our last minute stuff together then we are heading to the hospital!

@kseccomb17‌ good luck! Take care of yourself! Being a happy mommy is the best thing you can do for your LO. Talk to your doc for reassurance regarding your meds. It'll work out.

MIL is coming in on Thursday. She is the nicest lady in the entire world and way more calm than my own mama but for some reason I'm really nervous. This is our first family member to visit us since moving to Kentucky. I'm so nervous she'll think our apartment is a terrible place to bring an infant home.

I'm totally taking advantage of my Drs orders to put on more weight. Two donuts and a cookie dough flavored iced coffee from Dunkin Donuts for breakfast this morning! That'll do it.

@AshleyPixie Nice job lady! I rocked the hard boiled eggs/egg salad sandwiches (with bacon) when I was ordered to put on weight. Muscle Milks also have a boat load of protein but unfortunately won't be as tasty as your donuts. Mmmm. Donuts. Having just finished my yogurt and granola, you can color me green with envy.

We had the same fears moving into our place now with notoriously critical ILs, and they were totally fine. I think we (collective we) tend to be more critical of ourselves than others. Also, my sister lived in KY for a while and it's so pretty there and the people are super friendly, I'm sure she'll love it!

Thanks @macgrs. We moved to this place site unseen and...well...it's not the best place in the best neighborhood. We're making the most of it and we're saving lots of money by living here. It's by no means a dump but the apartment does have...quirks. And it's small. It just gives me anxiety, ya know? Want to make sure MIL knows I'm keeping a clean home for her son and her soon-to-be-born grandchild.

My big sister is one of those people that thinks holding your baby in the first three months spoils them. I'd tell her to read up on the fourth trimester but I'm not in the mood for the debate. This is just one of those situations I'll take as "it's my baby so your opinion means nothing to me"

@ricekez, @macgrs and @MrsStanton87 Thank you for the support. I know my MIL will think our place is just fine. I know they had my hubster when they lived in a teeny ass apartment. My folks were in trailers too when they had my brother and sister. I know I just put unnecessary pressure on myself to achieve that BS American Dream of owning a house and having perfect babies and a perfect marriage and being a perfect wife and so forth. Pregnany hormones only exacerbate all that, too!

I now have new found confidence in myself and my place. Thank you all so much!

I (wisely) worked my arse off for the last 3 months to get everything done at work by 4/4, just in case I had this baby early. Guess what? No baby yet, which leaves me with this odd feeling at work. . . I can catch up on cleaning my desk, shredding obsolete paperwork, doing mandatory online training, and making my reports extra perfect. I might go out of my mind if I go past my due date and totally run out of things to do. . .

She'll figure it out once she has kids (unless she's already had them?). Plus, how do you NOT hold them all the time?

She has two. The wonderful thing about everyone having an opinion about what I plan to do is that whether they agree with my choices or not I'm still going to do what I think is best soooo yea

@ashleypixie: Try cake batter or vanilla flavored muscle milk, mixed with cream of coconut (canned, in the drink aisle tons of calories and healthy fats) and pineapple juice + pineapple chunks. Virgin Pina Colada protein shake.

@ricekez: I feel the same way! I rushed to get all of my paperwork finished, now there is nothing to do at work and baby is still on the inside.

Breast feeding on demand is basically holding your infant 24/7 with the exception of nights (so far so good) who could just let them cry it's so sad!

I did this on Saturday with the hubster. Had 9 hours of contractions on Sunday. Still no baby.

Some people just SHOWED UP at my house to look inside. We have a showing almost every day but THAT was a first. I haven't even showered yet and my kids are home for spring break and have friends over! I hope someone buys this place before this baby comes!!
