I'm talking to the dog. Like legit. DH has been gone for two days, and I'm trying to convince her that her tail would make a great duster if she would just back her butt up to the surface. 2 days alone.... What's gonna happen when I'm on maternity leave for 3 months? :-)
Going to a "yoga for labor" class tonight with DH. He is not excited. And I may have forgotten to mention to him it's a three hour class. This should be interesting....
I just showed my mom a crib that I am in love with. She just informed me it was the exact same crib I had as a baby and its in the basement. Totally wild. I don't remember!! (Although, mine doesn't convert to a toddler bed, but still! weird!)
My living room is disgustingly cluttered, the kitchen counter is stacked with dishes, and I have no clean clothes to wear to work tomorrow. I need to get my butt off the couch and spend a couple hours cleaning. I don't want to. Somebody yell at me.
Currently watching my alma mater's annual Christmas candlelight concert. I love that I can sit here by the light of our Christmas tree and enjoy some good Christmas music! It's totally making me miss being there though. Just a year ago I was there on that stage playing
My MIL is into extreme couponing she's gotten us about 14 packs of newborn and size 1 diapers. I think it's awesome, but I wonder how long she can really keep it up. She hasn't paid for any of them yet. I hate to burden her with the task (though she loves it, couponing is her crack) I think I want to CD. It seems like a challenge, but in a way seems totally worth it. I started watching some you tube videos and she was talking about all the different types you can get. Does anyone actually use just receiving blankets? She said that was the cheapest, and most basic, but they seem so big. Thoughts???
Im still angry at the bimbo who gave me the stink eye all night last night at a sushi restaurant. I only ate cooked and vegetarian rolls. I should have just marched up to her table and been all "hey, quit it.....I'm just fat" X(
I've officially reached the point of being too big to see my cooter to shave it. It's gonna be a hot mess down there for 5 or 6 months. Sorry DH.
Yeah, no shaving here either. I did do some trimming yesterday though, because being pregnant has for some reason caused my pubes to uncurl and they were getting really long and silly-looking. TMI? Probably. Sorry.
Ladies day in Frankenmuth! Getting my free birthday meal and seeing a living nativity </p>
What's Frankenmuth??? 8->
A German tourist trap in Michigan with the world's largest Christmas store. Lots of German food and beer, horse drawn carriages, little old dudes in lederhosen playing polka on their accordians. It's my happy place.
Neatttt we have somethin like that in the NW it's called Leavenworth! I love it when it's snow covered. Have fun!
How close are you to Leavenworth? We go almost every year for Oktoberfest but have never made it for the holidays.
@jbug88 We are 5 hours away.. We usually go for the weekend and make a trip out of it. You should go especially in the holidays they do it right!

That is a LOT of small diapers. Are they big packs? We didn't use newborns or 1's for very long. She might want to move on to size 2's, lol. As far as the receiving blankets go, you would fold them up so they were smaller. I don't know that they would be any cheaper than using prefolds though. I got 1 dozen newborn sized prefolds for about $15 (maybe less, I forget). I forget what the like Carter's pack of 4 receiving blankets is at BRU or wherever.
I know she's insane! I told her to slow down. They aren't huge packs, but once I take him to work they change their diaper every hour, so if we don't use them I'll donate them to the school. I think I like the pre folds, they seem easier to manage. Did you have any issue getting DH on board with CD? I have a feeling it's going to be a battle because it's "not as easy"
I just walked by our large bathroom mirror in my big fuzzy robe and thought "damn girl you're looking a little chubby". I honestly forgot I was pregnant for a second. Idiot.
BFF Is in the throes of her first bad bout of morning sickness. I feel so bad for her! It's funny how quickly we forget what it was like, because all the sickness seems so far away for me right now. So glad to be second trimester and passed all that! Bringing her a care package now. Hopefully something helps!

Aw, but you are in the unique position to be the best BFF ever to her now! Nobody can give her commiseration and endless empathy and a light at the end of the tunnel like you can right now. You're a sweetheart to bring her a care package!
One more quick DH gush and I'll stop for the night, promise. He's been really distant about the pregnancy for a while, waiting for it to sink in and get more "real", and he was a little bummed that the baby isn't a girl; he was so pouty in our conversation about names, and isn't sold on the name I'm in love with. Today while we were looking at toys and books he referred to the little guy as Sullivan, casual as can be!! I melted. I'm so in love with watching him process being a daddy, I can't wait to see him bond with the baby when he is here!!!

Had this same realization about a week ago and had a really great laugh to myself. My plan - the Gillette fusion trimmer. I'm pretty sure you can't cut yourself, at least if u r just doing trim work. Of course blind trimming could lead to some very interesting designs ">
I just got a big bad craving for sushi. The raw and delicious kind with plenty of wasabi. I think I'm having a mid-pregnancy crisis.
ETA: @JessieAlbin It melts my heart when DH refers to the baby by his name, too. Yesterday he asked me "have you felt Dorian kicking today?" I just about died, because he's the same way as your DH.
March 2017 September Siggy Challenge: Favorite Fall Things
DD asked if we could go out today so she could buy something for her new baby brother....my heart melted and we headed out to Babies R Us and I let her pick out a new outfit for him.

Ahh, that sounds so great! I would totally be in the mood for that today.
@Stace0616 I didn't know you lived in Minneapolis! I'm here too!
We should get together sometime and bump I could always use more mommy friends!
Sooo today ended up being super fun--I wrapped a ton of presents and went major grocery shopping at Trader Joe's. Bought fresh fruit and veggies and ate a salad for the first time in five months. It was amazing!
Also, wrapped DH's gifts, including a copy of "'Twas The Night Before Christmas" from the baby. It was soooo fun to write "to Daddy" on the gift tag
Re: Longest Thread EVER! (aka Random Thoughts Thread )
