@lorimc12: I've offered to have student SLPs the past two years, but my school is "too far from campus". In grad school I drove 90 minutes for placements!

Both of my students came from a college about an hour away and I was contacted by the school on both occasions.  One had an aunt and uncle in town where my school is and the other one was just married and they had a house in town due to her husband's job.  Their school had a supervisor willing to make the drive.  When I was in grad school, I had to do my medical placement in my hometown 5 hours away because my school couldn't find a placement for me.

Thanks @ColleenSwerb. It's nice to have that affirmation! I did think about returning it if it wasn't what I was looking for or got bad reviews, but I'd be afraid of them finding out. But oh well.. I'll cross that bridge when/if I get there I guess.

My DH is out in the field this week. Tonight they are doing night operation practice (so he's incredibly busy) but he found time to call me for like 2 mins to tell me good night. During those two mins, I mention my dr appt tomorrow...and he tells me that it's not tomorrow, it's march 5. How does he remember this with lack of sleep and complete craziness, but I don't? I sometimes question my ability to care for our toddler with my pregnancy brain.

My SIL stood in on her first C Section today (she just got an RN position in L&D at the hospital we will be at) she called me after and answered all my questions. Didn't quite calm all the fears but I feel so much better. It's been such a draining week trying to switch gears and into a different delivery mode. Thanks for letting me vent!

Why is it that my acid reflux only shows up when I get in bed? I'm not even laying down. Just sitting here. It's like a good night's sleep is taunting me! (

Yes, reflux just knows! It is evil. Pop a few tums smoothies. They work much better and quicker than regular tums. I just took my nightly dose as I am now laying in bed.

There are so many things I wanted to get done tonight, but I am too tired to get off of the couch again. I did manage to do a load of laundry and take out some of the recycle though

Sounds like one of the places in my old town.  Cheeseburger pizza is the ONLY way DH will eat pickles, ever.

The smoothies are my BFF lately. DH calls them my candy. Sad thing is I can nap on the couch no reflux but major hip pain. It's a no win situation.

Same with me and Mexican food tonight. First time I've been woken from a dead sleep choking on acid induced vomit. It took me so long to stop coughing. Now that I'm fine I am afraid if trying to go back to sleep!
That was seriously gross.

@Mamamonzo My c-section was unexpected and I had never mentally prepared myself for the possibility, but I have to say that even under those circumstances it was not anywhere near as bad as I was thinking. I actually remember telling DH "This isn't so bad. I could do this again!"

Ugh I had that about a week and half ago and it was horrid! I got so worked up choking that it took my body forever to calm down and then I was afraid to go back to sleep as well. I had never felt anything like that before and it was a really frightening experience! I swear I think I will be the first person to die of heartburn.

I gotta AW the crap out of my DH before trying to fall asleep (again). 

Slight backstory: In the middle of January DH finally got the promotion he had been trying for many months to get (store manager for a retail business). 

The good stuff: His store is #1 in the state this month with regards to overall metrics. So he's making himself look real good to his new bosses. Andplusalso, prior to him getting the position we were stressing about income (though budget adjustments were helping), but we just got a glimpse of what his new pay is going to be like today. Salary checks appear to be 50% more than they were for his previous position and his commission check this month is double what he's used to seeing from his previous position (at a different store). Holy crap!

I watched the whole series at the beginning of this pregnancy (so long ago!) and I watched that episode like five times and cried every single time.

In other news, I'm up at 4 in the morning because SO had to leave for work and wanted a quickie beforehand. Sorry about the TMI but no matter how many times I tell him to be gentle on the boobs, he does not get it. They are so sore, and I'm positive he milks me every time. Pretty big mood kill for me. P.S. Sorry if I've brought this up before, after typing it, it sounds like I've complained already...

Maternity tights are seriously the most uncomfortable thing ever! I am completely out of breath from trying to put these stupid things on..... And I thought putting on socks was bad....

Ugh, I'm hated my maternity tights. I got one pair that wouldn't stay up. They next pair would stay up but were very snug. NOT nice. I'm DONE with them. We're still in boot season so I can do leggings with socks and no one knows :-)

My DH is kinda awesome-day one of the CA bar done (two more to go counting today), and then 9 days till I see him again...  I didn't realize how much I actually like him and enjoy being around him until he left!  It's sad coming home to an empty house.

So I had nightmares all night and then woke up at 3am and didn't sleep. I came in lookingtired and one of my ccoworkers just looked at me and said the magic words, "oh you think you're tired now!" I finally snapped,looked at her, and said "go shove it and leave me alone."

2). I'm surprised I still have a job here after years of this.

Woke up at 5:30 to DH's alarm. I only had to get up once to pee last night and didn't need a midnight snack. I took a bathroom trip and got some pre breakfast then laid down again... And now I'm wide awake but simultaneously exhausted.
