The whole sneaking around behind our back and coming up with a new name for him is really what blew me away!
I love the name George and so does my DH. It also has a very personal history so I'm very emotionally attached. My Grandpa, who I was really close to and died when I was 13, was named George. But on top of that..my dad is Lloyd Allen, his father was George, his father was Lloyd Allen, his father George..it goes on that way for generations. My dad only had girls though so it ended with him. So I love that even though we missed a generation and the last name changed, we are keeping the tradition. So for them to hate his name so much, I have no words.

Funny shower vent. My sister is throwing me a shower on the first and her RSVP date was by today. She has been texting me every single yes and no and has been freaking out since the invitations have gone out about RSVPs. Last week she was complaining to me that only 7 people had responded. And while I understand when you invite 60 people and only hear from 7 that can be unsettling, but they had a week and a half left to respond. I tried reassuring her that it will get taken care of, and even if only seven people want to come, I am happy with that! (a lot of our invites were more to be polite, I didn't expect any of my family in South Dakota to fly to NY for this) I feel bad she is so stressed about it but I cant help but laugh at the five texts I get a day updating me on who is or isnt going to be there.

Shes a wonderful sister, and I can't wait to throw her a shower, and text her about invites 500 times haha

Chicken is protein, the breading is a grain, strawberries are always good and the ice cream is dairy. So all in all a very well rounded meal.

You should be a pregnancy nutritionist.. You could justify anything to anyone who side eyes the pregnant lady!

I'm not from there, my dads mom remarried and moved there so I would jsut spend summers in Mitchell when I was younger! I loved it, I wish I would have spent more time there.

The "biggest snowstorm of the year" is making the odds of my sisters making it to town tomorrow slimmer by the hour.  I'll be a crying mess if the weather prevents them from coming.  I've been looking forward to this sisters weekend for so long.  They would just postpone the weekend but they are hosting my shower on Saturday morning.  Please let the road conditions improve tomorrow afternoon so they can get here safely.

Ugly crying. My friend who lost her first daughter to a rare genetic disease just found out her 5 month old son has life threatening cancer. I couldn't imagine her pain. I wish there was something I could do.

i kind of hate bedtime because it just means an uncomfortable and consistent cycle of crappy sleep, heartburn, needing to pee, and hunger.

i don't think i'm getting any more rest now than i will with a newborn, and at least with a newborn i'll have someone small and cute to cuddle while i cry about not being able to sleep...

Woke up to a few BH. They have calmed down, but now I'm starving so I can't go back to sleep. But my pup seems like she can't sleep either which is slightly amusing. She keeps waking up to change positions and sometimes even sits up just staring into space. I feel ya girl. My in-laws are in town so running around to sight see is going to be suuuuuper fun. Ramble ramble. Early good morning A14 :-h ETA: finally got out of bed and got a donut. It was beyond delicious.

I'm driving to Charleston myself at 36 weeks and then again with DH for a mini-babymoon at 37-38 weeks.  I have no worries!
