Super grumpy vent time. Havent been sleeping well because of my dogs and dreams about going into labor and heartburn. Not shocking, but part of the reason I'm so damn grumpy. Other part, I haven't seen SO in over a week, which whatever, it happens every now and then with his work schedule. But what is really irritating me is that the few times that we have a chance to even text each other (he works nights) he is impossible to have a conversation with! He never responds to half the shit I say to him or responds with "sounds good" or "indeed." Not anything of substance. I've been just ignoring it because I know I am not in the best state of mind, but last night I was panicking about being in the hospital alone overnight. I had a bad incident this summer and have not slept without a dog or my SO by my side. I still hate being in my house alone and am constantly worried someone is in my house or is going to break in during the night. SO seems to just brush this off and when I said I needed someone to stay in the hospital with me if he cant, all he said back was "we'll just give you some xanax." Livid. I wanted to kill him. I'm trying so hard not to overreact and keep a level head, but feel like he's being extra ass-y lately!

@dani+California my ob told me he wasn't worried if I didn't get it. There haven't been any outbreaks in my area. He said his office only suggests it because of "a moral obligation to society". Basically if a dr suggests it and people get it that helps keep the outbreaks down. When I told him my mom is a teacher and is coming for a week to help he told me to tell her he said to get it. Again because he thinks we should be socially responsible. (I agree with this thinking btw. Just my opinion)

That being said, I think I'm going to check to see where I can get it next week.

I have been awake for 3 hours. After the first hour I was ready for a nap. Now I feel like I haven't slept in days. Ugh. Also baby is going to claw her way out of me. I'm sure of it.

By some miracle we were able to get out of our Civic (that we were upside down in) and into an 2007 Nissan Quest last night! I think about 1,000lbs of weight have been lifted off of my shoulders. I can't even thank you ladies enough for all the support while I've been feeling so defeated lately.

That is very strange. You're in BC right? I'm in WA state and we have had a high number of cases of whooping cough in recent years. Do they screen for that at the border?

Can someone tell me who in the hell signs for a package when a) its not for you and b) you don't even know who the receiver is!!!!

I decided to reuse my Britax convertible car seat from my 2 yr old and ordered a new cover. It was shipped to my old apartment number and now the person that received says they don't know who signed for it!!! I am so ready to scream.

Ugh I'm sorry however, I know how you feel. I always freak out when DH is gone over night and we have the same issue with boring text conversations, as well. Sometimes I wish I could be as laxed as they are when it has to do with important matters! DH is the same way with just about everything. I'm the one that stresses and he just enjoys life in lala land.

That's so awesome! DH and I were actually thinking about going to Nissan this weekend to try to get a Quest. How do you like it??

I feel so bad for DH. He's working SO hard right now. He was up working until about 5:30 the last two nights. His eyes are all bloodshot.  I stayed up with him last night in solidarity. We both have jobs plus own our own company which we've been super busy with lately. Besides this current deadline he's been working on, he is also flying out this weekend for more company stuff. I wish there were more I could do to help so he could get some rest. I have a ton I need to do as well for the business, but I really just want to focus on cleaning the house and preparing for baby.  Also, gonna be pooped watching DS by myself until DH gets back.

My BIL does things like that to be in solidarity with his wife. Once she accidentally touched nettle so he did the same.... I don't get it. It's sweet but I don't know why you'd do that to yourself. No sense in two people being miserable!

Sorry to hear how exhausted he must be. I think by you letting him know how much you appreciate him and know how hard he's working that helps. Maybe get him a card and massage gift card for when he comes back from his trip?

I'm feeling stabby.  My car's in the shop  to finally get the repairs from when I was rear-ended in January. It was supposed to be a two-three day fix, and I took it in Monday.  I hadn't heard anything still yesterday afternoon, so I called and was told I'd get a phone call later in the evening or this morning. I still haven't heard, and I have a feeling there's additional damage that was discovered and the shop and insurance are arguing over costs/repairs.

Here's the kicker: I have to drive to my parents house in MI for my shower next weekend (yay!). The little itty-bitty car I'm currently stuck with/renting will not be cool for my comfort level or storage space for that drive... They'd better be done with my car before 4:00 on Friday or there's going to be angry pregnant lady hell to pay.

So I've been trying to convince DH we should use the nm love bug for our LO even though he doesn't like nm. (Mil has an obsession with nm's for her grandkids and if she's going to do it I might as well pick what is). I must've mentioned this to my mom because when her Valentine's Day package showed up and the gift for the baby (yep, my mom is going to be that grandma) was addressed to "our future love bug" and it was a hat she had made with lady bug fabric!

I feel like I might win this battle with him....everyone else is on my side. :>

My brother ordered something from Amazon and forgot to update his shipping address.  His package was shipped to his old apartment and signed for.  So he went to his old apartment and explained that he had something accidentally shipped there and was notified it was delivered and could he have his package.  The new tenants had already opened it, but at least he got his stuff.

After some hell raising at the not so close neighbors the boyfriend gave up the package. I told them if they really needed a car seat cover they could keep it...lol. They hadn't opened the package but the box had Britax logos all on the box.
