Just watched a story on the news that they are making snow because they don't have enough for the Olympics in Russia. Oh yeah, well we have plenty in Chicago, with more on the way. So f**k you Russia, F**k you very much!
I just can't with this man's snoring right now!!! If I had to be up early in the morning id be one angry ass woman. Thank god that full sized bed is still in the nursery. I may be sleeping in there tonight.
My back gave out on me walking down the stairs tonight. Luckily I was almost to the bottom, so I caught myself on my hands and knees on the floor. Seriously, is it April yet?! I'm over it!!!
So I have been hit with the stomach virus from hell tonigh...I can't keep anything down... Not even water.... I've been trying to stay hydrated and I'm still trying to drink water even though it's coming back up. I seriously haven't been this sick in ages.... I really hope this subsides soon.... Just needed to vent a little and feel sorry for myself.

Ugh. Feel better soon. Maybe try those pedialyte popsicles or ice chips. Last time I had a bad stomach bug they helped me keep fluids down so I didn't get dehydrated. Good luck!
Ugh... So we live with my ILs in their unfinished house, and they have 3 dogs. Our bedroom is upstairs, and the dumb dogs will come into our room (because it doesn't have a door) in the middle of the night whining and wake us up. We've started angling chairs on the stairs to deter them from doing this, and it had been working... Until tonight.
One of them came up about an hour ago, and I told him to get out. I was on the verge of falling asleep, and my husband was already sleeping. When I said this, it woke him up. So he got up to deal with the dog and try to get him back downstairs. He accidentally stepped on his tail, and he yelped pretty loudly (the dog, not my husband). This startled me, and I yell my husband's name and ask what he did. He tells me, and then a few moments later I hear them going down the stairs. Then I hear this terrible crashing, tumbling noise, and I'm thinking either the dog fell down the stairs or my husband did (because there's no railing). I'm terrified at this point and scream my husband's name with a hint of terror in it, and there's just a lot of commotion going on.
I have no idea what to do with myself, so I just throw myself back into bed and start bawling! My husband comes back into the room and tells me it's okay and everyone's okay. Turns out when the dog was going back under the chair, he knocked it over, it tumbled down the stairs and landed on the biggest dog who came around to see what was going on.
Anyway, after I calm down I realize I have to pee, so I go use the bathroom. When I get back I realize I'm having a BH contraction, and I start crying again because I thought I brought it on by being scared. And I'm worrying that I scared my baby, and I feel silly that I may have overreacted.
Sorry that was so long. I just needed to tell someone. Sometimes I hate those dumb dogs and all the time hate living in this unfinished house. (

This heartburn/reflux is outrageous. Second night in a row waking me up in the middle of the night. It's so bad I feel like I am gagging on it and then I get choked up, and then I get nauseous and throw up. I get so worked up and upset and then it takes me forever to calm down. Now I can't sleep again. Ugh. Somethings got to give. This is awful :-S
Hope you are feeling better this morning @danamarie421.
Tonight is our breastfeeding class. Did your SO go along too? I'm not really looking forward to it honestly because it goes until 9:00 pm and I will just want to be in bed. Is a class like this generally helpful?

Just got an email from management "encouraging" us to take our laptops home tonight so we can have the option to work from home tomorrow because of the crappy weather we're supposed to get overnight (5"-10" of snow plus freezing rain/sleet). I hope they realize that if I take this baby home to work, I am so not coming in tomorrow and my productivity will be absolute crap!
I was wondering if someone might have any idea about this situation. My DD (who is 4.5) has been getting fevers that last about 36-48 hours, usually run at a temp of 100-102....what has me puzzled is that they come practically on a schedule of ever 4 -6 weeks and she doesn't have any other symptoms. This has been going on for a while now and since she hasn't ever really complained I've just treated the fevers with Tylenol or Ibuprofen, but I've finally decided to have her seen by her doctor today and see if we can figure out why it's happening.

@kseecomb that's fucking insane and unwound have flipped my shit LONG ago. Get the fuck out of my house uninvited. Change the locks for SERIOUS.
@lindsay808 - tell your mom "that's up to you if you really are going to cancel a vacation just because I'm not willing to watch 2 insane dogs right after giving birth when someone else is perfectly willing and able, but nice try on the guilt trip".
I am just waiting for a call back from my OB. I'm still not keeping anything down and I'm nervous at this point about becoming dehydrated. I have been throwing up since 6pm last night...I sent DH out to get me some pedialyte, but I'm not keeping that down either. I seriously wouldn't wish this stomach virus on my worst enemy...
Just googled perineal massage. That's definitely not what I imagined it being X_X
This made me LOL. I honestly thought about asking DH to look it up just to throw him for a loop, but after making him watch "The Business of Being Born" I think I've done enough lately...
I had some majorly effed up baby dreams last night. The first one involved little fetus feet pushing out of my back, and his entire arm pushing through my chest--reality, I'm definitely too fat to be able to see the outline of any limbs pushing against my belly. So then after going back to sleep, I had a dream that I was at Target with my newborn, trying to feed him in the women's bathroom for the first time ever. He latched and it went well, but then I went to stop the milk (it was rushing out like blood from a wound), and when I turned around, he was gone.
Thanks girls, we'll see what they say. Her appointment is a 2:30. I'm kind of afraid that they'll just claim virus but I really don't think its a virus since its so regular.

My heart keeps racing and I don't know why. I had a freak out moment on the dogs earlier and that made my heart race a little but it's been that way ever since. I wonder if my blood pressure went up or something? Or maybe it's my anxiety?
@celticlullaby Oh man, I hope you get back there soon and out soon. I hate when I push food off thinking something will go quickly and then ends up taking forever.

So it appears that my DH has lost his wedding ring. It's been missing since Jan 21 (day after our 5 year anniversary). I really don't want to spend the money on a new one...but I am impressed it took him 5 years to lose it.
@lorimc12 - our breastfeeding class was part of our birthing series and DH happened to be working late that night, otherwise he would have come. All of the other husbands were there, so it would have been totally normal. I found it helpful for DH to be there when meeting with the LC at the hospital because he could see the latch better than I could and help make sure DS was positioned correctly.
