I am going to kill my fucking rottie right now. I was taking a glorious nap and he was barking at basically nothing waking me right the hell up! Of course now that HE's quiet and napping I can't fall back asleep! FML

BiggerinRealLife This is the time many retail stores begin changing into the next season and clearance out items in store. I would look online to see if they added anything new and just update from there. I worked for Target for 8 years and most often we would get the same item right back but with a different barcode. Unfortunately the registries don't update with the new info so it will show out of stock or no longer available.

After I grocery shop I strategically place items in the fridge and pantry so DH can't find them right away. I don't want to share my donuts or chocolate milk!!!

This bothers me to no end. English is only the de facto language of the United States. There is NO law stating an official country wide language. Some states have made English their official language, but as for the entire country, it doesn't exist. And lets not even get in to that English is not the NATIVE language of the U.S. :-P

This is just one of those things that seriously piss me off. My mom is originally from Panama and came to America 26 years ago but still has a strong accent. Well some idiot redneck got frustrated with her at her work (she works at a bank) and told her to go find him someone that speaks English. Seriously?!? That happened a while ago but I still wish I could've been there to kick him in the nuts.

I can't stop eating, even despite my stomach being on fire! And SO and I got a can of Pringles each, but he's sleeping and I don't want to open mine cuz if I do, they'll be gone before he even starts his and then ill want to eat his. Pringles problems.

@J&NL I don't get it. To move to a new country and learn to speak a new language is an impressive and difficult thing. And, TBH, ALL Americans have accents.

@aronie82 That's what I did too. The inky clothes I registered for was woombies, swaddles, and cloth diapers. I put, like, three toys on there and a bunch of books on amazon, more like a "if you wanna get something extra maybe one if these" because I'm totally the person who will tack on a $6 book to an amazon order. But everything we registered for I'd say falls under the category of useful items, not clothes. I know people will get what they want, even though I never buy off registry personally. But I want to get people what they think they need, not what I think is cute.

I hate moving to new towns and finding new doctors! I have a rare genetic condition called Ehlers-Danlos (EDS) and DS has a 50% chance of having it too. So I take DS to a new pediatrician today and first thing she says, "you don't look like you have EDS" umm no shit it's an "invisible disease" so I look at her blankly and then ask her what she means by that and she says well you aren't tall and skinny. Umm thanks for pointing out that I'm short and fat but that's Marfans disease, similar but not the same. The rest of the visit she questioned my diagnosis and told me that I had nothing to worry about with DS. I've been under the care of 3 different genecists, I'm pretty confident they aren't wrong. DS saw a genecist and he said he was pretty confident Micah had it but wanted to get the blood work done to verify. I hate doctors that don't listen and think they know things that they don't! Sorry for the long rant, EDS took many years to get diagnosed with and she frustrated me so much!

I'm sorry. Sometimes doctors need to remember that listening is a HUGE part of the job.

@jessieann1020 I'm a little late to the party (had a busy weekend and catching up). My own mother sounds just like your MIL. Your post pissed me off all over again. Just ha this conversation with my grandmother seeking advice. Bottom line, let DH set her straight. It's my mom and I'm totally freaked out by her. I made it quite clear the other day that this is MY baby and MY life. NOT hers. Ugh!!!!!!! Back the f off. Good luck!

I hear a lot of people say that you will get a whole bunch of the "cute" stuff and nothing that you register for. but my shower this past weekend was the opposite. we only got 3 outfits and they were all accompanied with items off the registry. I would say about 95% of my registry was completed at my party with only a few "add ons" so it really depends on your guests. BIRL I would just see if you can find comparable ones that are in store BRU will tell you if its available for in store pickup which means they carry it. if that's not an option, and people want to buy off the registry but can't pick it up, you will likely get a lot of gift cards.

I've had a pretty low sex drive the entire pregnancy. But it has completely disappeared over the last couple weeks. I use to at least have sex dreams but I don't even get those anymore. Even watching that David Beckham commercial running around in his undies....annnnd nothing.  (

Hi ladies! I've been MIA for way too long. My school has just started making the switch to a compressed schedule, so all of my classes are only 7 weeks long. So instead of homework, quizzes, and tests for my online classes being very week, it's changed to pretty much every day. It's killing me.

Plus, I'm already dilated 2 cm at 30 weeks. It's been rough. My OB isn't too too concerned; she wants me to just watch the lifting and such. No true contractions being felt, but somehow 2 cm??

We've been busy working on G's room, well, me pointing where I want stuff to go after hearing about starting to dilate. Hahaha.

And then. The kicker. Today. I'm making a rag rug for her room, and was cutting strips of fabric, and for the first time ever in 7 years using a rotary cutter, I sliced my finger open. Great. Three stitches later, I'm scared to start up again. DH said he'd finish it, which means she'll get it around the time she turns 2. Oy.

I have a LOT of catching up to do, but from what I've skimmed lately during my on the toilet moments, my prayer list is going to be quite extensive. I wish it weren't so long! I've missed y'all. Quite a lot. School can suck it. I need my bump time!!

Prayers to those who need them, hugs to anyone who wants one, and cake all around! Eat up, it's raspberry elegance from Publix - my fave. It's on me!

@BIRL I wouldn't worry too much. I made my registry solely on amazon because everything I wanted was there. But @colleenswerb makes a great point.. the blanket I wanted for the crib from dwell studio is now discontinued and there are none left anywhere! I'm so glad I was poking around because I was forced to pick a different one.

Also, birthday cake!! DH made me a pistachio cake for my bday in June. He used boxed vanilla cake and added pistachio pudding to the mix. He made two 9in cakes and filled the middle with pistachio pudding, frosted it and topped it with candied pistachios. HEAVEN. I am not going through that effort for his bday on wed, but I am going to go to our local bakery and get him some pistachio cupcakes! Mmm we love pistachio baked goods

Once a year one of my stores does this huge 4 day order. It starts tomorrow and needs to be out the door at 6 am. New managers, a new rep for the company and snow mean I have to be there tomorrow at 2 am. And probably work till at least 2 pm tomorrow. Hopefully the Tylenol pm I took gives me some sleep or I am going to be such a witch tomorrow afternoon...

So I just had an insane coughing fit and pissed my pants. Soaked my underwear so much that I seriously just wrapped them with our crappy 1 ply toilet paper.
I'm having flashbacks to 7th grade and starting my period at school.

This happened during my pregnancy with DS too. I'm so pissed.

I hope to be back to my (week)daily bumping status soon. First, we were packing/moving/cleaning/insanely busy for two weeks and now this week has started off with the plumbing getting backed up and raw sewage overflowing into one of our bathrooms. Luckily it's all sorted out now and we still have one fully functional bathroom until everything gets ripped out and replaced this weekend, but I am so tired of cleaning and rearranging and not being able to really settle in! The uncertainty and hassle (not to mention the smell and the way my skin crawls just thinking about what touched some of the surfaces in our bathroom) are just too much to handle today. I need a bath, a cigarette, a few shots, some meth, a vacation, and a back rub.

Long story short, my life has been a stressful mess lately and I will be back to join you ladies asap. I hope everyone is doing better than I am!

I had to take the gtt twice this pregnancy (once early due to history and once at 28 weeks because its practice policy) and I failed the 1hr and passed the 3 hr both times.

Am I being stubborn by requesting to not have the nudie new born pics taken with our photographer? He keeps saying you'll want those tiny little butt pictures blah blah blah.... I don't find the naked pictures necessary? Am I going to regret this decision?

I don't like those pics personally and I have none for my son. My photographer (who is my sister) put a white wrap around his diaper.
