  • Speaking of movements, the baby was moving very strangely last night. Almost as if he was shaking or something. I had a mild panic attack thinking he was having a seizure or something. Has anyone else felt this before?

My baby spazes out sometimes too. I think they just get really fidgety in there trying to make themselves comfortable and the fact that there isn't quite as much space for them to make big movements doesn't help.

It happens about once a night while I'm sleeping and usually wakes me up.

  • Happy Monday ladies!! Finally going to catch up on some RTT from the weekend.

Fresh Brazilian and a Seahawks Super Bowl win = great beginning to the week in this house!!
  • I have a friend who registered her baby for his first birthday. Kohls for clothes target for "everyday items" she keeps reminding people in facebook. I find this incredibly annoying and tacky. Do people really register for birthdays now or is she just a super special snowflake?

  • Wtf that is weird! Is she going to register every single birthday? Whatever happened to just shooting an email to your family with a few gift ideas?

Tacky that she keeps posting it on facebook. I can understand something like a wish list if the invited parties wanted ideas of what to get kiddo...but don't go advertising it.

  • My OB used to have 2 waiting rooms but they recently remodled and now they just have one room. It is always pretty much standing room only. Who had this bright idea!? They are always packed. I didn't have time for breakfast this morning. Seriously thinking of going to Cracker Barrell after my appointment and chowing down on some sausage and bacon.

If you call ahead you can get it to go and have it ready when you arrive. Then you can stuff your face in the car!!

there's a birthday registry link on amazon and I thought it was odd. I  guess I could see registering for yourself just to get the discounts but telling people about it... and continually reminding them...very tacky!

You know what is the best, too?  When none of the men with their pregnant wives get up and offer you their seat.  I would kill mine if he didn't do that.  This happened to me once but thankfully there was another waiting room that was offered to me.

  • @KatieGummow best. gif. ever!

You're totally gonna kick ass for that delivery.
  • We sure are, Katie. At the US I saw baby's whole face and it reminded me that I've got 9 fucking weeks. I'm cramming right now
  • So I guess the Little Lady has decided to change positions.... the need to pee (or at least the feeling) is about to drive me crazy. Takes 20 minutes to get comfortable no matter where I am sitting then Wham! that feeling again... Please 10 weeks please hurry along...

  • I don't know why I'm a little excited (because it means I need to make better choices), but I gained 6lbs since my last appointment.  First gain of my pregnancy after two weeks of wanting to eat/sleep all of the time, and I'm measuring larger too.  Gives me a lot of reassurance that things are going in the right direction with the baby and that I was right about his growth spurt!  :)

Now, I just need to take it easy on these cookies!
  • Question. Is it bad that I don't eat when I'm hungry? The only time I do this is when my husband wakes up in the morning before 7, and if I stay awake long enough, I get hungry. I know if I get up to eat something, I'll be up for another 2 or 3 hours before I go back to sleep, and honestly, I'd rather just sleep!

I've been reading about some of y'all getting midnight cravings or waking up hungry at random hours, and it makes me feel guilty that I don't satisfy my hunger when I feel it. I just want to make sure I'm not doing anything to harm my baby's growth. :-S

Sometimes, if its in the middle of the night, I try to drink some water first. I figure my bladder will give me longer sleep than my instant heartburn. I doubt you are doing any harm :-)

"everyday items"? Like she's not capable by now of providing things like bubble bath, snacks, and diapers for her soon-to-be toddler? I've heard of a birthday registry for toys because I received emails from BRU when DS was approaching his 1st bday to do something like this, but I think it was more to keep grandparents and friends on track as far as developmental toys vs really loud obnoxious ones or ones that were "oh so cute" but clearly made for children of a much older age - it was more of a list than a true registry...but this "everyday items" thing has got me scratching my head. Your friend sounds gift grabby and it's not even for her!

  • I think I need to spray out my sinuses tonight. I have a lot of pressure behind one eye and it keeps watering. It doesn't hurt at all, but, its just weird. Anyone have this before??

As a fellow "bigger mama" I sympathize with the fear of not gaining and the excitement of actually putting something on! I had my 30 week appointment last Wednesday, and I still haven't gained a thing...NOTHING! I've fluctuated between gaining and losing the same 2 lbs since the beginning of the pregnancy. This time I was back up 4oz.

My OB says that at my size I really don't need to gain at all, but then we compared my weight from last pregnancy and this one, and by now in my last pregnancy, I'd gained 6lbs overall. So to be on the safe side, she's ordered a growth scan U/S for my next appointment, since it's so hard to tell from the outside whether or not this baby is actually getting any bigger. I'm irrationally nervous cause I know she's ok, I just can't help but fear that I'm not doing enough... Somebody (figuratively) talk me off of this ledge!

Working on getting the templates ready for my next 2 months of staff schedules and realized I won't even be here for the last week that I'm doing! Woohoo! February is my last month of full days every day, then cutting back to mostly half days in march until the 21.

Woohoo! I am also planning things for work that I won't be here for. It's strange, but exciting!
  • @deidremaria yay great news, congrats!

Why does a female bathroom attendant in a busy office of over 2000 associates have to announce the arrival of herself and make you scream, "I'm
In here in 1 of the 10 stalls in this bathroom" just so she can add paper towels to the dispenser. I swear were on the same schedule or I'm just always in the bathroom...
  • @SLSchuerg I wouldn't think so! Sleeps important for baby too!
