I got my itty bitty newborn grovias in the mail today from that sale the other day. First official purchases of my cd stash. Yay for teeny tiny fluffy butts!
I play an instrument that requires a lot of abdominal and wind support. Will it become a lot harder to play the farther along I get since pregnancy tends to make you get short of breath easier and the abs get spread apart? (Is this a ridiculous question?)
I'm a singer and teach voice, and already am feeling my lung capacity shrink. It's inevitable, I think.

Why does every other sex reveal thread talk about their son "not being shy," or their daughter, "acting like a lady?" Why are there no threads saying, "Mon son was such a gentleman, he kept his legs closed the entire time, like the modest little man I know he will be," or "Whelp, my little girl was just puttin' it all out there for the world to see! Spread-eagled and opened wide! No shame in her game!"
DD was totally showing us everything at the 20week u/s and to this day she isn't shy. This little guy had is legs closed, like a lady
~Missed MC at 8 weeks. D&C at 12 weeks on 4/17/13~
I'm depressed. After 8 years with the same company my last day of work is tomorrow. I'm angry because I can't believe my company did this. I'm sad because I'm going to miss all my coworkers and I'm already getting emotional thinking about it. I'm scared because money is already tight and I don't know how we are going to make ends meet with me on unemployment. I'm so overwhelmed. i haven't even gotten out of bed today. I can't believe at almost 5 months pregnant I am not going to have a job. Sorry. I just had to say all that out loud.
I am really disappointed that my hospital doesn't take donated cord blood. you would think in Washington, DC there wold be more than ONE hospital that does this.

I'm so sorry to hear you're going through this! (((big hugs))) I've only been at my job for about 3 and 1/2 years and I would be a mess if I had to leave here! I can only imagine how hard it is! I don't have any clever advice just wanted to say I'm sorry Try to take it one day at a time. I'm sure you'll figure it out! Good luck

I am so sorry that you are dealing with this. I hope you are able to find something relatively quickly. HUGS!

Shoooooot, my DD was just lettin' it all hang out at her A/S. And these days when I try to change her diaper, as soon as I take it off she tears off crawling all over the house bare-assed. She's such a little lady!

What instrument do you play?? I played clarinet from age 8 all the way through college and was a music major.
Babies LOVE being naked. Even better when they are toddlers and can run around the house like a maniac. I swear, you get DS naked and it's like crack to him, he does the "Callen 500" up and down the halls and around the house. I LOVE it.
DD still loves it at almost four! We get home and she strips! She also mostly sleeps naked. I'll put pjs on her, but she's almost always naked by morning.

I think kids are doing life right and we are doing it completely wrong!

Agreed. They get this spunky freedom as soon as their clothes come off! So funny to see!

I play oboe! Started when I was 9, was a music performance major in college and am currently in that transition stage of trying to find a job/practicing for auditions/feeling hopeless. Ha.
I just finished baking 345 cupcakes. Now to make four kinds of buttercream & frost them all.
Sigh.. Although, this 'job' should cover the crib I want. I need a margarita, lol.
@aviola329 SUPER giant hugs, yo. If you lived by me, you could come use my washer!!
What do you do for a living? And can I quit my job and join you?
Haha, I work for the electric company!!! Lol. I have a baking business on the side and I have a wedding tomorrow. 345 cupcakes, 3 flavors. I gotta make a two tier cake in the mornig too.
Thanks ladies for all the kind words. I didn't mean to spoil your party and be a debbie downer. I was just having a rough night and I just really needed to get those thoughts out of my head. Tomorrow is going to be a rough one :-( I am feeling much better now. Hubby brought me home Steak and Shake with cheese fries and a mint chocolate chip milkshake after work and my all time favorite "Simpsons" episode was on while a feasted. It is amazing how food (and a hug from my hubs) can make a girl feel better! Again, sorry to bring your thread down and thanks again for all the kind words. I would like to share my milkshake with all of you:
@irisheyez7 so sorry to hear this. Did you get anything from the company? I was laid off after 11 years and was thankfully able to make it 10 months before I found the job I have now. I had the best summer with my kids and found a job I love. Hope you are able to find something you love too! (((Hugs)))
Mom to 10 year old DS and 7 year old DD. Twin girls coming soon!
@girliegirl827 Loads of my friends at work are telling me their birth-pregnancy stories. With the exception of a flute player, no one played in concerts past their 7th month. I don't play a wind instrument, but I have a bending over problem with my instrument. I'm hoping to play until mid-March, but, I'm already thinking that might be wishful thinking. :-) Hope that helps.
ETA @jennypenny1014 I had no idea you were a music major! Cool :-)
I need to find a good deal on a battery powered Thomas & Friends (though not Thomas himself... we already have a very well loved/broken one) on Black Friday. Any ideas? Please tag me if you do, otherwise I might never see the response
(I'm looking for the little handheld ones that fit on the regular tracks, not something big.)

LOL It's cause I totally don't seem like the typical "band nerd", even though I was 1st chair pretty much my whole life (except college I was 2nd chair cause 1st was a senior), in marching band all 4 years of HS (section leader junior & senior years baby!), in choir, 1 of only 6 freshman to make the wind ensemble & had a musical talent scholarship in college, and played all forms of clarinet (including the bass clarinet in orchestra). I was a performance major too! And I never took private lessons until college when it was a required class for my major.
Wow that sounded braggy. "> but I guess I was pretty good at it. I do miss it sometimes, but I don't think I could really go anywhere with it now since I never finished my degree.

I never played in school stuff in high school. Its not like my instrument really fits in band much :-) I would say most of my high school didn't know I played. LOL! Do you still play some for fun?
For fucks sake! I have to walk waaaay too far from the bed to the bathroom. This back pain/shooting down my leg pain/can't put weight on my right foot pain is for the fucking birds. And now I am thirsty and the kitchen is all the way downstairs next to the bathroom. (

No, not really. My clarinet is in its case, up on a shelf in my closet, along with my portfolio of sheet music. I think about it sometimes, but I never actually end up pulling it out. Funny though, cause a couple of years ago I even stopped by a music shop and picked up a few new reeds for it... Like having fresh one would encourage me to play it again...They're still wrapped up tight in their paper bag.
