Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) I’m a SAHM to 3 kiddos - 2 DD and 1 DS, ages 5, 3, and 1. We have a standard poodle puppy and DH works in software sales. I like to read and hang out with friends from church l
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) nauseous and exhausted 😅
GTKY: Tell us a fun or interesting fact about yourself! We got our puppy the same day I found out I was pregnant this time 😂
Hi everyone, my name is Kim. It's great to meet you!
Due date? I unfortunately don't know my due date yet, but I'm guessing it's around mid-May. I have a dating ultrasound on the 25th. They're really busy so that's the earliest they could fit me in.
How did you find out? I had quite a bit of cramping and my chest was really sore. I started doing the math and realized that I was possibly a couple weeks late.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) We have one DD who is 8. She doesn't know our secret yet and is going to be over the moon when she finds out.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) I am feeling pretty good, just light nausea and super tired!
GTKY: Tell us a fun or interesting fact about yourself! I am an artist. I draw animals/pets in coloured pencils and also like painting landscapes.
@trailkinder my honeymoon was a 3-week road trip from CT to CA and back! My DH and I normally road trip when we travel too. It started due to my insane fear of flying, but we actually really enjoy it now.
Hi all! My name is Carla and I am a first time Mama. Nice to meet you all!
Due date? May 5th
How did you find out? Was feeling a little off before my period and decided to take a test just in case which was positive! We were TTC, but I was taking the month off of tracking because it was stressing me out and that seemed to do the trick!
Tell us about yourself: I am married and we have a dog named Tuna that we rescued from BVI and we love him very very much! I currently work in Hospitality. I love to read, cook and eat! When I am not pregnant, my husband and I love trying out different cocktail bars as well. I also really love Harry Potter and all things theme parks (really just themed entertainment in general)
How are you feeling? Today marks the start of week 11 and as of yesterday I seem to be A LOT less nauseous than I have been, thankfully! Still exhausted most of the time so I am grateful to be working from home. I am an emotional person anyways so so far I cannot see a difference lol. Second US is on 10/22
GTKY: Tell us a fun or interesting fact about yourself! Right after college I moved to South America to live and backpack around for 1.5 years by myself. It was amazing! I met my husband shortly after returning home while I was living in Miami and he was living on Maui. He moved from Maui into my Miami apartment after only 5 months of long distance dating and its been beautiful ever since!
Introduce yourself: hi, I'm Shaina. I have a 3 year old boy and I'm looking forward to meeting my second baby.
Due date? May 28
How did you find out? We'd been trying so first day of my missed period I took a test
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) I stay at home with my son, Jeremiah. My husband, David, is an attorney. I love going to SLAM (sweat like a mother) classes and that's where I've met most of my local mom friends. We don't have any pets but I have a feeling once this next baby gets a little older, we'll be on the lookout to rescue a dog.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) Super nauseous most of the day and so tired. Pregnant with a preschooler is no joke! I'm excited, though, and definitely looking forward to the second trimester!
GTKY: Tell us a fun or interesting fact about yourself! I'm bilingual. I speak Spanish and English and Jeremiah is now in a bilingual preschool so I'm hopping he will also be bilingual.
Hello! My name is Jackie. This is my first pregnancy.
Due date? May 11
How did you find out? Was getting ready for a romantic, wine-heavy trip to Napa Valley with my SO to celebrate my 40th birthday and realized I was late. And then I thought to myself wouldn't it just be my luck and funny (and of course also an amazing miracle/joy too!) if I was pregnant and not be able to drink ;p
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) I'm a busy, professional working at a PR/digital agency, overseeing the communications strategy for a few different brands and retailers. For years I've put my career first, but have always wanted a family and thought maybe it had gotten to late in life for me to experience this amazing miracle. Words can't describe how excited I am to be pregnant. At the same time, I do still struggle with finding a balance with my work and personal life, and thought joining this community might be a nice way to put my personal life first  My partner is very supportive, but also a bit of a nervous nelly, as this is both our first child...so hoping this forum can also be a resource for me to ask some of his burning Qs too.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) Exhausted and emotional (umm am I the only one with weird random crying fits? )
GTKY: Tell us a fun or interesting fact about yourself! I lived the past 16 years of my life in New York City, and just recently moved to Delray Beach Florida for a more relaxed pace/lifestyle, and to take a chance on romance. This past December I had come to Boca Raton Florida to help look after my dad who is a snowbird and was dead set on going to Florida despite the pandemic. Being single and living in a small NYC apartment, I figured a little change of scenery would be nice for me too. Well once I had a taste of the sun and beach, I decided to stay. Since then, I've meet the love of my life, we're moving in together this month, and just found out we are expecting (like I said something I thought might be out of the cards for me).
How did you find out? I just knew. Picked up a test when I went to the store… and sure enough!
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) My fiancé and I have 3 girls. Ages 4,3, and 1. Pretty sure we will be having another girl this time as well 😂 We also have a dog and a cat. I am a stay at home mom. I love to read and puzzle. (when I have the chance to)
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) I’m feeling pretty good. Tired, but good.
GTKY: Tell us a fun or interesting fact about yourself! I’m pretty obsessed with Harry Potter.
How did you find out? Found out because we were trying and then I spotted for 3 days and thought my period was starting. (Spoiler alert it wasn't. 🤣)
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? This is our 7th pregnancy but 4th child 3 previous losses. I'm a stay at home mom to 3 girls 7, 4, and 2 + 1 big dog, been married 9 years to my high school sweetheart.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) Had my 1st appointment at 7 weeks 4 days because of my previous loss history the squeezed me in for an early dating scan I have my next on the 2nd. My sense of smell is off the chart this time around and its kicking nausea into high gear I have my fingers crossed it tapers off here soon!!
Happy to be here and I'll do my best to participate so I'm not a stranger. I regret not posting in my Aug 19 board more because I really could have used the friendship once the world shut down. But everyone had bounced to Facebook by then.
GTKY: All of my kiddos have been born in different states 🤣
Introduce yourself: Hi! I’ve been around several weeks but had not introduced yet as I’ve had losses (they are mentioned in my intro as they are a big part of me). Now that I’ve passed 10 weeks I was feeling more confident and wanted to say hi!
Due date? May 21
How did you find out? Home test
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) My husband and I have an 8 year old daughter and a dog that has no clue she’s a dog. We love camping!
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) Im feeling pretty awful most days. While I’m thankful to be where I’m at I’m not a person who glows. At all! I am mid-30s and have had 3 losses so I’ve had several appointments and 3 ultrasounds already. I have a MFM and my regular OB. I go for what would normally be the first visit and ultrasound this Friday.
GTKY: Tell us a fun or interesting fact about yourself!
I read ALL the time and go through several books a week!
How did you find out? Driving to a photography consultation one day and was completely exhausted and my boobs hurt
Tell us about yourself: I'm 27 and married. We have a 3 year old son, we've been trying almost 2 years for this little bean. I'm a photographer and babysitter/nanny
How are you feeling? Tired but more at ease after my second ultrasound today and finding baby's heart beat with the doppler
GTKY:
I did have a due date in June but they pushed it up today so I'm joining the may club
Introduce yourself: Hi All! I'm Ashley. I'm 33 and live in Maine.
Due date? May 24th
How did you find out? At home test. The idea just kept popping into my head and I had a funny "feeling". I had been on the progesterone only birth control pills and was only part way through a pack. Suprise!
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) I am married with two girls, 12 and 8, and work as a labor & delivery and pediatric nurse.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) I'm finally feeling better and more like a functional human being now at just over 11 weeks. Weeks 7-10 were rough! Constant background nausea and just absolutely drained. And bloated!! My previous pregnancies I had waves of not feeling well, but this time around was the most consistently crummy I've felt. Unisom and B6 have been a lifesaver! Emotionally I'm excited, though nervous. This was a suprise for us so will be a big life readjustment. Once the initial shock wore off and the idea of 'ok we can do this again!' took over, my husband and I are really excited for this next chapter. And my girls are just over the moon!!
GTKY: Tell us a fun or interesting fact about yourself! I own a horse farm and have ridden, competed, and trained since I was a tiny tot. We currently have 5 horses here, which is a small reduction in numbers. 3 boarders and 2 of our own. My daughters mare is actually going to have a foal this Spring and we are due at the same time!! 🤦♀️😆. We have quite the zoo here as well with the 5 horses, 3 cats, a dog (who we promised the girls we would breed this winter), 12 chickens, 2 guinea pigs, a hedgehog, and some goldfish. And I wonder sometimes why I'm so tired all the time!!
@ashr223 welcome! There’s quite a few of us here with our youngest around the same age. My daughter is also 8 years old and this baby is also a surprise for us.
How did you find out? decided to start trying after my first pp period, expecting it to take a while like the first time. at 9dpo I just knew I needed to test. faint, but very much there, line!
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) i have a 10 month old daughter and I'm a SAHM. my fiance works evenings. hobbies include yoga and bitching.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) was kinda in denial and felt super guilty for a while until I went to my ultrasound last week at 14 weeks. it made me feel a lot better and I think I know the gender which makes me feel more connected to baby already! fortunately no symptoms except some round ligament pain and fatigue.
edit, forgot to add this. GTKY I've already completed 2 years of nursing school and plan to return and finish my degree after baby gets here!
I’m pregnant with our first due May 7th (day before Mother’s Day!)
I’d had sore boobs and I was late so I took a test, I yelled for my husband to come in when I saw the two lines, apparently he thought I’d seen a spider or something so he said “I’ll be there in a minute”, I replied “no, get in here RIGHT NOW!” Lol! So that’s how we found out!
I work front desk at an orthodontic office, and my husband is in year 3 of his doctorate program in psychology. We have an almost 3 year old golden retriever named Maisie (we call her “Crazy Maisie”), and a cat named Luna.
I got pretty lucky with morning sickness and only threw up for about a week and a half, but was nauseous for most of my first trimester. Emotionally, it’s been a bit tougher. I’ve been struggling with perinatal anxiety, when I broke down in my OB’s office and she recommended therapy. Seeing a therapist has made a huge difference!
One fun fact about me is that I’m a twin! Which of course made for a VERY nerve-wracking couple weeks before the first ultrasound. When I saw just one baby on the screen, I breathed a sigh of relief and said “oh, just one baby, I can do one baby!”
Introduce yourself: Hi! I'm from the Detroit area, obviously. We are expecting fraternal twin girls in the spring! Currently 14 wks 5 days.
Due date? May 9, but will deliver in April
How did you find out? We had been trying for about 10 months so just my regular monthly pregnancy test! Found out about it being twins at our first ultrasound- totally freaked out!
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) I am a SAHM with 3 kids already (son, 8yrs, daughters 5 & 2 yrs) so these babies will be #4 & #5! We have been married 10 years and I love to sew. I make baby/toddler clothes.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) I have been way sicker with these babies than I have with any of my others. Also just generally more uncomfortable and painful already. Should be a fun winter.
GTKY: Tell us a fun or interesting fact about yourself!
We lived in South Carolina for 4 years but moved back to our hometown when our son was 5 weeks old. I'm still in touch with a number of my bump friends from his birth month group! Aug 2013.
Married 11.12.11 JB 08.02.13 EC 12.11.15 GE 04.04.19 #4 & #5 due 05.05.22
Introduce yourself: Hello! My name is Sydney, I am 24 and married. I currently live in central MS.
Due date? May 10, 2022
How did you find out? I was on fertility treatments, I was on my second month of letrozole after trying provera for a few months. (I don't cycle on my own so I rarely ovulated independently and my progesterone would drop to fast after conception on my own- took a while for doctors to see what they wanted to do since I am "so young") My progesterone was high on my cd 21 bloodwork, and my doctor suspected possibly successful and she was right! After nearly two years I got a positive test at 3 weeks- which I didn't even know was possible!
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) This is our first baby, we are so excited! I am married, and work as a TA graduating with my teaching license May 2023. I also just recently sold my nail salon, and was a nail technician for 5 years. I ran out of time between my full-time job (which provides insurance and paid leave for baby!) and being a full time student- especially with bean otw it was time to let the salon go! Def bittersweet, but I have loved having my weekends again!
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) Overall- just tired and so, so nauseous. Def wasn't expecting to be so sick!
GTKY: Tell us a fun or interesting fact about yourself! Not very interesting, but I am a professional student. Hence why I eventually changed my major to education so I never REALLY have to leave, lol!
We decided to try to have a baby in June. I had my Nexplanon removed and got pregnant on my first cycle!
I have a son that I placed for adoption three years ago. My husband has a son and a daughter who are in their 20’s. We have a pretty significant age gap but it works. I’m an RBT, I work with children who have autism, but I’m not working currently. My husband and I have 3 dogs that are getting kicked out of their room to make a nursery. They’re my whole world right now and I’m praying they’ll be okay with the downgrade once baby comes.
I’m feeling great! I’m very excited about this pregnancy. I didn’t let myself really experience my first pregnancy because I had chosen early on to place my baby for adoption. The whole time I was reminding myself he wasn’t “mine.” This time, he’s ALL MINE!!! It’s so amazing to let myself feel everything, although I sometimes feel guilty for not enjoying pregnancy last time. I never regret my decision, but sometimes it’s still emotional.
Fun fact: I taught one of my dogs to read! She responds to cue cards that say sit, wave, lay down, bark, and spin.
Hi I’m Steph, this is my second pregnancy this time with twins!!
I found out through blood work for a heart ablation I was supposed to have. I couldn’t because of the drugs they were going to give me to put me under.
My hubby is a trucker for Schneider so we make a very decent amount of money I work from home for a tech firm while I also take care of our 2 year old son.
Feeling excited and nervous all at the same time. I’m also already in maternity clothes as of this writing since I’m 18 weeks along. First appointment also went well heard the two heart beats which was unbelievable at first lol.
Introduce yourself: I’m Hannah. I’m 24 years old, from Arizona
Due date?: May 18
How did you find out?: My husband and I had been trying for a while for baby #2 and after a miscarriage this past June, we are now expecting a little girl 💕
Tell us about yourself: My husband and I have been together for almost 7 years, married for 2. Together we have a 3 year old son and a German Shepherd. I’m lucky enough to be a SAHM.
How are you feeling?: I’m currently 20 weeks (yay to halfway!) and I have a lot of back pain so far this time around. My morning sickness finally went away at 19 weeks. Emotionally I’m doing good.
GTKY: I paint, even though I’m not very good 😅 I absolutely love Scooby Doo and will sit and watch it with my 3 year old like a little kid.
Hello everyone! I’m Lydia. I’m 37 and I’m expecting my second child (a son). Due date? May 2
How did you find out? It was our first time trying to get pregnant since having our Nov. 2019 daughter. I was curious to know if we had “nailed it” on our first try and started testing as soon as enough time for implantation had occurred. Sure enough, we were pregnant!
Tell us about yourself: I’m currently living in SA, TX while my husband is completing his internal medicine residency. Previously lived in NOLA, where our daughter was born. We have 2 cats and a dog.
How are you feeling? First trimester was rough due to morning sickness nausea (worse than with my first pregnancy though I was able to control it with B6).
Currently suffering from some serious joint pain in my knees since the start of the second trimester or so (didn’t have this first time around). Doctor said to put my feet up often, but it doesn’t help that I chase a toddler around all day, ha. Can it be May already? GTKY: I’m originally from Puerto Rico though I’ve been state-side since 2004. I’m fully bilingual (English-Spanish). Painting, reading, gardening, and drawing are some of my favorite hobbies, but I haven’t had much time for them since our daughter was born in Nov. 2019. I used to teach English composition courses at university level, but I am a SAHM now—a job that’s significantly more rewarding.
@lydiandreu welcome! I was born in San Antonio and am also mostly fluent in Spanish, although I don't use it much anymore so I'm getting rusty. Happy to have you join the group!
@MrsLaLaBug I miss NOLA so much! We moved at the start of the pandemic, so we didn’t get to give a proper goodbye to the city—everything was closed/on lockdown. Happy Mardi Gras season! ⚜️💜💚💛
Hi I'm Casandra and this is my first, I am due May 26. We were trying so I took a pregnancy test. It was the day before our wedding anniversary so I got to tell my husband on our anniversary which made it extra special. I'm an environmental science supervisor and am planning to take 16 months mat leave when babe comes, hubby will take 3 months (in Canada).
I’m Nataliya and I’m having a boy. My due date is May 13, but he’s been measuring a few days earlier, so who knows. I have a 7 year old daughter and this one was a big surprise, especially since I’m in my 40s and was not planning on having any more. But we’re all very excited and can’t wait to meet “baby no name”. It took years and failed fertility treatments for me to conceive my daughter, so I honestly did not think I was physically capable of getting pregnant at this point. So this baby is definitely a miracle and a joy.
I found out at about 8 weeks because I’d been feeling extremely tired and couldn’t make myself get out of bed. I thought I was suffering from depression and even scheduled an appointment with a psychiatrist lol. I was on birth control so being pregnant did not occur to me at first.
I’m a lawyer and started my own practice during the pandemic. I work mostly from home for now, so this is the ideal scenario with having a new baby. I’m very grateful for the flexibility I will have.
This will be the first baby for my husband and I. He has two teenagers already so this will be interesting.
I’m still in the October 2014 bump group that became a Facebook group and I made such wonderful friends there. I’m really looking forward to getting to know everyone and seeing the littles once they arrive. ❤️

How are you feeling?: I’m currently 20 weeks (yay to halfway!) and I have a lot of back pain so far this time around. My morning sickness finally went away at 19 weeks. Emotionally I’m doing good.
GTKY: I paint, even though I’m not very good 😅
I absolutely love Scooby Doo and will sit and watch it with my 3 year old like a little kid.
Due date? May 2
living in SA, TX while my husband is completing his internal medicine residency. Previously lived in NOLA, where our daughter was born. We have 2 cats and a dog.
Happy Mardi Gras season! ⚜️💜💚💛
I found out at about 8 weeks because I’d been feeling extremely tired and couldn’t make myself get out of bed. I thought I was suffering from depression and even scheduled an appointment with a psychiatrist lol. I was on birth control so being pregnant did not occur to me at first.
