How did you find out? Nothing too exciting—took a test on Monday and got a faint positive. Line keeps getting darker with each test.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) I am a communication professor at a small public university in eastern Kentucky. My husband and I have been married almost seven years and welcomed DS in April 2018. I planned both of these to be April babies bc it works so well with my work schedule We have a black lab named Penny. I love to cook, bake, watch trash TV, and spend time with family.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) Feeling good. No symptoms other than mild cramping. I was super lucky to have zero nausea/sickness with my first and hoping to be that lucky again. Will probably call next week and make my first appt. It’s crazy how much more laid back I am this time around-ha! Just trying to enjoy it and soak it in because we are 99.999% sure this is our last.
GTKY Fun fact: Tell us about a superstition you have or used to have!
Not really a superstition, but when I go to the bathroom at someone’s house I have to peek behind the shower curtain to make sure no one is in there before I go-lol!
Introduce yourself: I'm 36yo, DH is 33. We are a blended family with 2 older (bio mine) and one younger (bio his). We've been trying for an "ours" baby when I got the BFP.
Due date? April 19, 2022
How did you find out? My BBT temp spiked, which isn't normal for me, at 8DPO. Got a super faint line on a cheapie in the morning, super faint line on a cheapie in the evening, obvious line on FRER, and obvious like on FRER at 9DPO. Morning of 9DPO, cheapie line got darker.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) We are a very active and eclectic family. My DH and I both have difficult jobs (i.e. military and LEO). We have a bunch of pets: 3 rescue dogs, cat, Green Cheek Conure, beared dragon, leopard gecko, 5 fish, Russian tortoise, gargoyle gecko, ball python, 4 gerbils, and 7 chickens (outside). We like to camp and hike, we have a mountain house and visit whenever we can! We recently decided to stop buying "things" and give the kids 'experiences' and it has been the best decision ever! This is my last pregnancy, so I plan on relishing every moment and doing ALL the things!
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) Cautious. I had a chemical in May and I just want to see those lines progress and get darker! I go in today to have blood drawn and again on Saturday.
GTKY Fun fact: Tell us about a superstition you have or used to have! I would sleep with a bible under my pillow to keep away nightmares. Due to my nightmares, I also am obsessed with real (made by Native Americans) dream catchers.
Introduce yourself: Hi! My name is Michelle. I am nearly 35 y/o and not new to BMB but new to this one. Excited to be here in this time with all of you lovely ladies!
Due date? Currently EDD is 4-5-22 but may be off.
How did you find out?
Have been TTC for a year and a half. TW: We had two early losses already. This was my third letrozole medicated cycle and I had been using ovucore to track my core body temp. Took a test at 9 dpo fully expecting it to be negative- positive. Lines kept getting darker and beta HCG doubled so here we are! Confirmed with first ultrasound yesterday. Could see the tiniest of fluttering of a heartbeat but still so small difficult to get an accurate date. May be 6wks based on CRL.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?)
I am married with two older stepsons (11 and 9) and a daughter (4). I am a veterinarian in south central WA state. We have two cats. I enjoy cooking, reading, music, knitting, wine tasting and overall enjoying time with family.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?)
First appt was yesterday - was anxious, still am, but feeling a bit better now. Have been very fatigued, nauseous particularly in the evenings, sore breasts and had lots of cramping, gas, some mood swings.
GTKY Fun fact: Tell us about a superstition you have or used to have!
I never talk about work being “slow” or quiet at work… if you do, sh*t hits the fan and then everyone blames you. 🤣🤣 I have many other work related superstitions but that’s the biggest that comes to mind.
Introduce yourself: Hi Everyone -Im Monet, admittedly I've been lerking for a few days. Said id wait til ultrasound but here I am a week early.
Due date? Apr 5
How did you find out? FET 7/18. Started doing HPT frm day 3 (it was a test run i promise lol), saw faint line 5dp5dt on cheapie. Started using FRER around day 6, and then every other day. Next up nicely increasing betas on day 10 and 12.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?). Im 34 I work in Healthcare and im on the SMBC journey. My SO of 8yrs passed away unexpectedly (thankfully had embryos frozen 8 yrs ago).
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) I have my moments every day, usually triggered by missing my SO. Over the last week I've been super stressed at work and admittedly not doing the best self care so I've been nervous about negative effects on the embaby but I pray that's not the case. I'm not sure what to say about symptoms. I think most of what I'm experiencing is medication related but hard to tease out. Extreme fatigue came and made a home almost frm day one. And I'm super gassy (though I'm a gassy person at baseline 😁). Oh and headaches, but again had those fairly often at baseline.
GTKY Fun fact: Tell us about a superstition you have or used to have! No superstitions here.
Hi everyone, I'm very cautiously introducing myself here. I've been lurking for the past week and and finally felt ready to join in this morning.
Due date? April 11
How did you find out? MH and I have been trying for over a year, so I've been tracking everything. **TW** I wasn't going to test this month because I had a chemical pregnancy last month and I was not feeling great about going through the heartache again. **end TW** Anyways, at 8 DPO I couldn't stand the smell of MH's egg sandwich and couldn't satisfy my hunger so I thought that was strange. It was so early on that it probably wasn't related, but it led me to test. At 9 DPO I tested on a cheapie in the morning and thought I saw a shadow, then tested on a FRER that night and there was definitely a faint line. Told MH the next morning.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) This will be our first. MH and I are teachers, but I'm taking the year off from teaching and instead finishing up my dissertation and working as a research assistant. We have a super cute cat and dog and spend most of our free time working on our house (it was built in the late 1800s and we gutted the whole thing when we bought it 2 years ago, still working on improvements) and going hiking with our dog. We love to travel, too, though haven't since pre-pandemic aside from a few road trips.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) Very, very cautious. We've been trying for over a year and I had had my first consultation with an RE in early July (my mom also struggled with infertility for 20 years so that's always in the back of my mind). Earlier this week I thought I was having a loss, I had a lot of spotting at 4 weeks and what looked like a lighter positive that morning so assumed I was having another chemical (that's how it started last time). My RE still asked me to come in for a repeat beta the next day (which now I am so thankful for) and I was totally surprised when my HCG had more than doubled and the spotting stopped. I feel like a complete idiot because I posted over on TTGP about having the loss when in fact that wasn't happening (if any TTGP ladies are reading this, I'm so, so sorry . You would think I would know not to jump to conclusions). I've had another repeat beta since and everything looks good but I am still so nervous about everything... and probably will be for a while.
GTKY Fun fact: Tell us about a superstition you have or used to have! I had a hard time with this and then realized part of the reason I waited to post so long on here was because I was feeling superstitious about it! But I'm really excited to get to know all of you. The amount of knowledge I've gained and support I've had over at TTGP is immeasurable and I'm sure it will be the same here!
We are an infertility couple so we know exact dates of when we got pregnant. My first sono is Tuesday.
I have 2 previous kids (both girls) also from IVF. We had remaining embryos so for the past year we have been trying to complete our family. This was our last shot and we have been successful so far.
I’m feeling pretty good, and I can’t complain… yet.
Introduce yourself: Hi everyone! I am clearly in denial 2020 ever happened, because I hopped right into the April ‘21 group before realizing I needed to be in ‘22 . Happy to meet you all. I loved my previous BMB, and we all still keep in touch.
Due date? April 14th - maybe?
How did you find out? My cycles are typically 22-23 days long, and I realized today I was on day 25 (rare). Took a test expecting it to be negative and have been in shock all day after seeing it was positive! We were not trying, but we’re excited all the same.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) My husband and I have been married nearly eight years and both work full time. We have twins who will start Kinder this month. I love reading, musicals, and queso.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) Some bloating but that’s about it. I’m going to call on Monday to get my first appt set-up. I’m AMA this time around, and I definitely prefer that over “geriatric pregnancy”.
GTKY Fun fact: Tell us about a superstition you have or used to have! I believe in jinxes. Saying something is going to happen before it does or saying something has never happened to you, etc. I don’t do it and knock on wood when people do!
Introduce yourself: hey there! I’m Meg! I have 3 kids currently, this is #4. 😲 This is very unexpected, but doesn’t mean we aren’t excited!
Due date? 4/7/22
How did you find out? I woke up to go to work and realized I was a day late. Figured I’d pee on a stick, it would be negative then my period would start later that day. If I had actually thought it may be positive I wouldn’t have taken it before going to work 🤣. Immediately woke up my husband to tell him.
Tell us about yourself: I’m a nurse, mom of 3 (10,7,3) that I homeschool. Husband and I have been together 17 years (high school sweethearts) and we have a Boxer thats 2 yo. 😁 I’ve been on the bump birth boards with all 3 of my older kiddos!
How are you feeling? Feeling ok! Tired. Tired. So tired. First appointment is at 10 weeks: Sept 10.
GTKY Fun fact: Tell us about a superstition you have or used to have! Hmm….this is a hard one. I can’t think of any!
Hello! Name is Laura, 33 years old (34 in less then a week) and about to be a third time mom. Currently have 2 boys aged 5 & 9. Just finished our first round of IVF and had a successful first transfer. Got my first positive at 4days past 5 day frozen embryo transfer. I am due April 20.
My first beta will be on Thursday but have taken an embarrassingly large number of positive pregnancy tests that seem to be progressing nicely. So far I’m tired bloated have heart burn also had my first wierd vivid dream last night.
Fun fact. My sister and I both ended up doing ivf for the first time around the same time and are both due in April- 18 days apart!
My husband and I are really hoping for girl as we already have two boys but our boys are rooting for another boy lol!
As with the others I’ve been cautious about posting b/c of previous loss. Started to get really symptomatic this week though so feeling hopeful, lol. Currently mom of 3 to DS11, DD6, and DS4.
I spent the last six years as a SAHM up until May when I started working part-time at a coffee bar/juicery while my husband figures out what he wants to do when he grows up, LOL. We’ve been a homeschooling family for the past six years as well so it’s been an adjustment, but I’m trying to make the best of it. This baby was definitely a surprise for a number of reasons but I’m glad in a way because I wasn’t actually ready to be “done.”
I hopped on this forum because I’ve been feeling AWFUL— worse than I remember feeling with my others— and wanted to reassure myself that I’m not lazy or crazy haha. I’ve been drop-dead exhausted, boobs are sore, and I have a constant mild nausea that’s mostly just helped by eating... leading to a lot of bloating. Yikes! Also I’ve had a headache on and off. Trying to stay hydrated and keep that at bay, but I suspect it’s partially because I haven’t had any caffeine. It just sounds awful to me now! I am supplementing with progesterone though so I wonder if that’s making my symptoms feel extra strong? Curious to hear feedback from other mamas on this!
Umm otherwise I’m really into childhood education/development, nutrition, gardening, hiking, trying to become more self-sufficient. Generally I enjoy cooking and baking but right now I’m all cooking is fried eggs and toast. 😅 Also enjoy logic puzzles and all things childbirth! I actually took a certification course as a childbirth doula a few years ago and it never took off as a career for me (being on call with a traveling husband and littles isn’t a great combo), but it’s something I have an interest in and a heart for.
How did you find out? Period was late, took 5 tests at home. Perhaps overkill, but some of the lines were very faint.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) My husband and I had a pandemic wedding in 2020 on our original date (just my immediate family and the priest). We just got a beautiful lab/ golden retriever mix who “career changed” out of being a leader dog (and had the positive tests a few weeks later). This is my first pregnancy. I’m an attorney and like to garden and bake in my free time.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) I’m still shocked. We had just decided to stop not trying to get pregnant and it happened very quickly. I know it’s still pretty early but I don’t feel all that different, which is making me feel nervous. The whole thing is overwhelming. But it’s kind of fun to keep it secret for now.
GTKY Fun fact: Tell us about a superstition you have or used to have! I half heartedly throw spilled salt over my shoulder. Habit I guess, but also better safe than sorry.
I have debated posting here (see superstitious note below).
Due date? Based on last period, April 17th
How did you find out? I started suspecting a few days after I got my first apple watch (used fitbit before), when my bpms were super high after cleaning/doing normal chores (130-140). I then had the metallic taste and nausea. All those things happened with my previous pregnancies, but I was in denial and refused to test until my missed period. Monday I took a test in the early evening and it turned BFP almost immediately.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) This would be baby #3, we were actively trying, but not tracking anything. I also have a 4.5 year old and an almost 15 month old, both girls. We also have a 6 year old cockapoo that has infinite patience with the girls. I work in biotech and husband is a middle school coach. We love being outside, gardening, bbqs, hiking. We recently bought our first home, so we have a LONG list of projects..
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) Like many mommas here, I won't believe it's real after I have my 2nd first tri ultrasound.
I struggled before having my first rainbow baby **TW** We had 2 late first trimester losses before DD1 (both 10 weeks along, both missed miscarriages), also had a chemical before DD2**TW end**
I feel excited but something inside me wants me to be realistic and stops me from getting too excited. I am taking it day by day. Also haven't called my Ob/Gyn yet, I want to get to week 5 before reaching out to them.
GTKY Fun fact: Tell us about a superstition you have or used to have! I feel like as soon as I tell someone about this pregnancy that I am jinxing it, the more people I tell, the more I worry that something will happen. PGAL brain follows you forever....So far only DH and my old BMB (May 2020) know
******TW******Siggy warning BFP1 04/24/2015 EDD Dec 2015 MMC 10W5d; BFP 2 09/25/2015 EDD June 2016 MMC 9wks; BFP 3 03/22/2016 EDD Dec 6th 2016
@queenklau TOTALLY feel you on the jinxing it thing- that’s why I felt scared to post here too. And it’s also why we haven’t really told anyone except those who may be affected by it immediately (coworkers etc). My husband and I work together.
How did you find out? I've been doing the daily ovulation testing to better our odds so I've been obsessing over it and tested as soon as I thought I could get a positive test
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) I have a 2 1/2 year old son with my husband. We have been together for 10 years and married for 4. I work in Purchasing and he is in school, ex-army. We have 3 dogs; 2 great Danes and one small mutt. I love to read, watch trashy TV and documentaries, and usually down to just hang out with people I like.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) I'm tired and gassy (I'm not a gassy person at all and it's so weird). I'm anxious, dealing with the un-controllable with some control issues is always fun 🙃 First appointment is at 6 weeks so in 2 weeks.
GTKY Fun fact: Tell us about a superstition you have or used to have! I didn't mean to save the first positive pregnancy test from my son but I had it hidden away so my husband wouldn't see it until I told him. But then when I refound it I got it into my head that if I threw it away something bad would happen to the pregnancy. So eventually threw it away after he was safely out and home (yet again looking for something I could control as if it would help, oh lordy)
Due date? I believe April 23ish. My periods still weren’t regular. But H and I only spent 2 days together due to being out of towns so I roughly know when conception happened.
How did you find out? Positive test
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) 2 daughters. 4 and just turned 1. 1 cat. Married to H for 7 years
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) Nervous.
Tw.
We had a loss between our two daughters so I’m a bit hesitant.
GTKY Fun fact: Tell us about a superstition you have or used to have! I used to refuse to say I’m happy. I believed it would ruin it.
Also. I see a few here I recognize! I dont think from either of my bmb but from ttgp and lurking
TTC1: May 2015
Primary IF May 2016; Failed HSG; Scheduled Lap Sept. 2016
Hey! I’m Jess, we’re due April 23 so far of all goes well, I’m only 6 weeks but I’m Extremely anxious over losing the baby but trying to stay positive! I haven’t had my first appointment yet but I will on the 25th and I’m very excited
My partner and I found out when I came home one day and felt dizzy and nauseous and my sister who is very pregnant said “me too” and that was the day I was supposed to have started my period. My partner and I have been trying for a baby and I was super excited but nervous because we’ve only been trying for 2 months. We went to the store bought 5 tests and all five came back positive!
A little bit about me - I’m currently a sophomore in college working at The sonic near my school and I enjoy reading and binge watching Chicago med! We have no other human babies but my partner and I have a very sweet neighborhood special we named Kash who is a little under two years
so far I am very super tired and emotional and have recently started getting nauseous and throwing up which I take is a good sign. Twins run in our family so I’m very nervous but excited about the possibility of twins.
A superstition I believe Is splitting poles brings bad luck, I never let my partner split a pole with me 😂

Welcome! Are you sure you are 6 weeks? A due date of April 23rd would be just under 4 weeks pregnant. And it would be great to change your user name so we can tag you easier and get to know you ☺️
How did you find out? Felt nauseous and light headed and had a test anyways so decided to take it. So far 3 positive tests.
How am I feeling (symptoms, first appointments etc). I am feeling cautiously optimistic but scared to get too hopeful. This is pregnancy #6 for me but I’ve had 3 MC. So until I see a heart beat I’ll be holding my breath. I’ve already seen my GP and got my first prenatal appointment done. As for symptoms besides random dizziness and cramping after the first day no more nausea.
a little about me- hubby and I have been together for 15 years. My DS is 5 and DD is 3. This pregnancy wasn’t exactly planned but wasn’t prevented as we weren’t tracking but were causally trying. It was a nice change as we struggled to conceive our last two children. My son was born at 33 weeks and my daughter was born with a UCLP so we this pregnancy will be high risk and closely followed. I am a NICU RN. Currently I am on a reading binge and devouring all the juicy fantasy series I can find lol.
Hmm a superstition I believe…. that when it’s a full moon my kids won’t sleep lol.
my due date is I am guess April 1st due to my very first ultrasound.
How did you find out?this is a funny story I think! So I was actually only testing due to wanting to drink the next day since my long time friend was coming down and I wanted to make sure I wasn't pregnant. I have been late before due to having PCOS so I didn't even think it was possible. I was 9 days late on my period so I just thought I was late... I went to Walmart to get test expecting them to be negative just like every other time. I went to the bathroom IN THE WALMART BATHROOM! WELP to my surpise I was really pregnant! The test line was darker than the control line!. Keep in mind I gave up ever getting pregnant due to infertility problems in the past. So that's how I found out 🤣
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) This would be my first baby and I am 23 years old. I work as a nurse in long term care. I am actually going back to college to get my RN degree since I am LPN. My boyfriend is a mechanic. We have only been together for 7 months so tbh we weren't even trying it just happened. We love movie night together and hanging out with our friends and family! I LOVE walks especially at night! We both are super chill people! So that's a lil bit about us!
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?) Mannn how am I feeling I am still shocked over this whole thing. Being pregnant and all... I am nauseous, crampy, and tired!!!! I never thought I could sleep as much as I do! I am starting to get acne... honestly I am kinda scared/nervous... but I know both my boyfriend and I will make amazing parents! GTKY Fun fact: fun fact about me is 1 I am my moms miracle baby and also twins run in my family! But with this pregnancy only 1 baby! Thank the lord!
Hello all! My name is Jessica. For some reason I couldn’t post until just this morning, but I finally got it to work.
Due date? April 16
How did you find out? My period was a couple days late, but I figured there was no way I could be pregnant. Decided to take a pregnancy test at work just to be sure (figured I would get a negative and my period would start right after) and was surprised by the two lines! Called my partner to see if he wanted to eat lunch together and then told him as soon as I got in the car — I couldn’t wait to spill the beans!
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) This is my first! I’ve been with my partner for a little over 2 years. I’m 35 and he is 40. We live in Idaho (hoping to relocate to northern Idaho, but this pregnancy may change that). I work in the Admissions Office for a University, and my partner works for a grocery store and is working on his Masters to move into an HR role.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?)
I am still in shock! I’m excited (I have been waiting for SO LONG for this to happen!) but also very nervous. I have already bought three books and am taking lots of notes! ***TW*** I found out in December 2019 I had an ectopic pregnancy, which was a pretty traumatic experience and ended up having a Fallopian tube removed in February 2020. I’m trying my best not to think about all the scary “what-ifs” of this pregnancy, but it’s hard. ***End TW*** I always feels like I’m on the verge of being nauseous, and I have some slight crampy/stretchy feelings. Haven’t called yet to make an appointment, but will soon.
GTKY Fun fact: Tell us about a superstition you have or used to have!
I guess the fact I haven’t yet made an appointment is a superstition! I’m nervous that this won’t be real or something bad will happen. But I know it’s not true!
Hello everyone, my name is Kathryn. Pretty shocked to be here!
Due date: Est. between April 10 -17, my first appointment isn't until September 10th and July was such a whirlwind I don't remember the dates of my period
How did you find out: I had number of early pregnancy symptoms that also corresponded with my (unofficially) diagnosed endometriosis. I then had a week of mild cramps, but no period. So two days ago when I for sure knew I was late, I took a pregnancy test for the first time in my life and immediately got a positive.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?): I have been married to be husband just over 10 months. This would be my first pregnancy/child. Although I am a fur mom to our adorable cat, Roxie. I am a small city lawyer in the midwest specializing in dysfunctional families (kidding, but it feels like that some days). My husband and I just bought a house, so I have been enjoying our remodel thus far and am now very anxious to get our upstairs finished! We enjoy trivia night (Thursday nights at a local brewery), board games, video games, football and spending time with family and friends.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?): My first appointment isn't until September 10th, so I don't think everything has officially clicked in my brain. I am quite in shock as the pregnancy was unplanned and I completely expected to struggle with getting pregnant. I have very mixed feelings right now as I was not fully prepared, but I am trying to do the things that will get me in a better headspace - such as buying prenatal vitamins, belly cream, research diet changes, drinking more water, etc.
I have not told my husband yet. I am planning a surprise to correspond close to, if not during, our delayed honeymoon later this month. (I just need to get the bartender on my side the next couple weeks at trivia night as to not give it away!)
GTKY Fun fact: Tell us about a superstition you have or used to have!: I think we all as kids held our breath or lifted our feet as we drove by cemeteries or over bridges. Now, I completely believe the full moon does something to peoples mental health/decision making process, because that week is always crazy in my office and the other businesses/agencies I work with.
How did you find out? We had been trying but we skipped this last month. I started a new job. So definitely was not expected. My best friend was visiting, and I jokingly said you came to witness a BFP...and immediately ran to test... 4 days before I was due for AF I tested...and got My BFP . Tested about 20 more times just to be sure that week.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) 39 No children, 2 fur babies we rescued. My partner and I both work from home. We love to travel, check out new parks, dinner with family. Lately we have resorted to a lot of home cooked meals and Netflix . Being extra careful as this is a high risk pregnancy.
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?)
I’m shocked ...happy ...scared..my HCG levels are going up as they should. Had some light spotting Dr. Put me on progesterone starting today. 20th is our first scan. I can't wait. I'm so anxious to just hear the heartbeat. Other than exhaustion and heart burn no other symptoms.
GTKY Fun fact: Tell us about a superstition you have or used to have! If I'm in a car I lift my feet up when crossing a railroad track for good luck. I used to do it as a kid and I guess it stuck.
@morganw320 congrats! First I'd like to say, I aspire to be as relaxed as you. Second of all, I will now start a new tradition of checking behind shower curtains
How did you find out? I took a test a day after my TWW.
Tell us about yourself - Chicago native living in Pasadena with my husband. I work in production.
How are you feeling? I've been mostly tired and hopeful. We've been trying for so long and already experienced a loss. I'm so excited. I'm going allow myself to enjoy every minute.
GTKY Fun fact: Tell us about a superstition you have or used to have - I used to believe if I used a brand new pencil on a test, I was sure to pass.
@joms2526 haha thank you! Rest assured that I was a basket case the first time around I am still nervous this time, but I know what to expect and the timeline of things, which helps my inner control freak. Also you’re welcome for the new shower curtain trick-ha!
How did you find out? I took (multiple) tests a couple days after I was late for my period
Tell us about yourself - I’m 29 and I’m an attorney. New England native who recently moved to rural Midwest because my husband is doing his residency there. This is my first pregnancy! My supervisor just told me to start working from home again a couple days ago because of rising cases and I’m SOO relieved because I won’t have to go through any first trimester issues in an office around other people - especially since I have not told anyone at work.
How are you feeling? The day I found out I was having some cramping but these past couple days I’ve been feeling pretty normal! I am anxiously awaiting the fatigue and nausea though and trying to be productive while I still can haha. I’m also am dying to tell my best friends and family but trying to at least wait until my first appointment which is after Labor Day! I’m feeling so many different emotions ranging from excitement to being terrified
GTKY Fun fact: Tell us about a superstition you have or used to have - I would wear the same clothes during a successful practice exam to my actual exams in law school
@atuffaha Welcome, glad you're here! I am also a 29 year old midwest attorney. Kind of jealous you're working from home, my secretaries have been watching me like a hawk for 6 months now waiting for a baby announcement. Before I knew I was pregnant, I had a sick day with lots of nausea and worked from home. The comment at work was I hope she's pregnant 🤦♀️
Hope to get to know you better over the next few months!!
I’m not actually sure if my due date yet; my cycles are still pretty irregular after my last baby, so it could be anywhere from April 1 to 23rd. Stay tuned for that!
We had been not trying or tracking much (I mostly pay attention to my fertile signs but not closely). The past few days I’d been feeling under the weather, and when I was pumping/nursing, it was super sensitive. Yesterday at work, it just clicked (the sensitivity was my first real sign last time too), so I grabbed a couple tests on my way home, and they were complete dye stealers (like, I was worried they were defective because the control line was so faint haha).
My husband and I have been married for five years. We have a son who will be three in October, who we struggled to conceive (went through all the tests and a few medicated cycles - I have PCOS). We also have a daughter who is 16 months, born in April 2020. I’m still nursing both of them, but think I’ll try and wean the oldest before this new baby! We live in BC Canada with our dog, we’re in the city now, but have used our maternity leaves to build an off grid tiny house. I work in project management for one of our health authorities, but I’m also a doula. I’m a normal birth and postpartum doula, but also trained in fertility support, which is where my passion really lies.
I’m mostly feeling okay. I have my normal constant mild nausea, and I’m definitely more tired and grumpy. The only thing that really gets me is the sensitivity during nursing/pumping…
No superstitions here.
Oh, and I used to be ‘sailing-mama’ but that was because we lived on a sailboat when we were trying for our first. That seemed a lifetime away, so I changed my username this time around
My name is Melissa. I am 39 and pregnant with our second. I have my fist appt on Monday with my OB but all my tracking apps show a 04/01 due date.
My first was a full surprise since I had an IUD and this second one happen in our second cycle of trying after a chemical pregnancy.
i don’t remember feeling this awful with my first- the round the clock nausea, exhaustion and foot aversions are next level. I am hoping this just means a girl this time and not just because I am of “advanced maternal age” haha.
I never tell a birthday wish in case it makes it not come true
Hi ladies! I’m Maggie and I am joining in early with caution and optimism. I enjoyed the BMB so much with both my babies. So nice to have support from other women going through the same things!
Due date? April 28
How did you find out? My husband decided mid-cycle this month, on our 11th wedding anniversary, that he was ready to try for #3. We only DTD one time in the fertile window, I have been repairing my hormones for months after a bout of over exercising and macro tracking which caused me to stop ovulating, and we are not young, so I wasn’t sure it would even be possible. I had terrible AF cramps on Thursday and assumed I was out. Yesterday I was grocery shopping and I got this feeling like I would punch a nun for a bowl of Honey Nut Cheerios and it hit me like a lightening bolt. I bought a test and it turned + before I put all the groceries away. I really can’t believe it, but it also feels very meant to be that we made our 3rd and last baby on our anniversary.
Tell us about yourself: I am 38, as is my husband. We’ve been together nearly 20 years, married 11. We have a 5 year old girl and 2 year old boy. I recently quit my full time job at a medical communications agency to start my own freelance business and it’s going great so far! I love to garden, cook, eat, and work out.
How are you feeling? Emotionally I am overwhelmed. I wanted this baby very much, but I honestly wasn’t sure if my husband would ever get on board, or if my hormones were healthy enough to make another. Still very early and I’m nervous. For symptoms, my stomach is already getting iffy, I am absolutely burning up, and the exhaustion is real. I have also dropped everything I’ve touched in the last 24 hours. My husband is laughing at me because we have a joke in our house about when I drop things I must be pregnant.
GTKY Fun fact: It’s not exactly a superstition, but I have a pair of hot pink heels that I wear into high pressure situations for luck. I passed my thesis defense and have secured more than one job wearing them 👠
Introduce yourself: hello I’m Nikki. I’m married to an amazing man. I have a 12 year old boy also born in April. This was an unexpected pregnancy. I’m about to turn 44, and have PCOS so we really didn’t think it was going to happen.
Due date? April 4,2022
How did you find out? First time I’ve ever taken a test and had a positive. Took two more and got a blood test to make sure.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? My son was the early of an IUI 13 years ago. My husband and I have known eachother for about 30 years! We have two Boston Terriers Wolvy, and Trout. Job? I manage an independent pet supply store. Best job ever. Things you like to do? We are homebodies. Hubby is my best friend. We like to get out for long drives away from other humans and just enjoy nature. We just enjoy each other’s company!
How are you feeling? I’m so exhausted. I want to go to sleep and have felt this way since this afternoon. Nothing tastes right and I cried over food for the first time in my life yesterday. Boobs hurt, meat tastes gross, already my pants don’t fit… emotionally I’m stressed and worried. My HCG levels are rising but slowly. So that has me concerned. They raised 792 points in 42 hours so that’s not promising. But other than that I totally feel pregnant.
I'm Sarah, 32, due 4/13. Stay at home mom. This will be my second child. (Son was born March 2018) Found out with a positive test, 5 days before missed period. We had been trying, so I took a test just to see. Excited to cloth diaper this baby as I did my last and found it was a fun and bonding experience. I was not able to BF my last due to low supply but fingers crossed second time is a charm. Plus I've been having breast soreness so that's encouraging, maybe my boobs will know what to do this time around lol. Not really many symptoms, just the breast tenderness, some cramping, and food cravings. My first appointment isn't until 9/7 and it's so hard to wait! Really just want to see the heart beat on the US. And not really a superstition, but I'm an Aries. My son is an Aries, and now this baby will be an Aries. My poor husband! Lol
Re: Introductions!
Due date? 4-16-22 (my son’s bday, ha!)
How did you find out?
Nothing too exciting—took a test on Monday and got a faint positive. Line keeps getting darker with each test.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets? Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?)
I am a communication professor at a small public university in eastern Kentucky.
Emotionally?)
Feeling good.
@dinomeetsjedi I am also located in Utah!
Due date?

Due date? 4/7/22
How did you find out? I woke up to go to work and realized I was a day late. Figured I’d pee on a stick, it would be negative then my period would start later that day. If I had actually thought it may be positive I wouldn’t have taken it before going to work 🤣. Immediately woke up my husband to tell
him.
@fameonmain2 this is amazing news! I made a new grad thread, please post on it so that we can celebrate with you❤️❤️
My husband and I are really hoping for girl as we already have two boys but our boys are rooting for another boy lol!
Guestimate: April 4
As with the others I’ve been cautious about posting b/c of previous loss. Started to get really symptomatic this week though so feeling hopeful, lol. Currently mom of 3 to DS11, DD6, and DS4.
Emotionally?)
I’m still shocked.
PGAL brain follows you forever....So far only DH and my old BMB (May 2020) know
BFP1 04/24/2015 EDD Dec 2015 MMC 10W5d;
BFP 2 09/25/2015 EDD June 2016 MMC 9wks;
BFP 3 03/22/2016 EDD Dec 6th 2016
I have a 2 1/2 year old son with my husband. We have been together for 10 years and married for 4. I work in Purchasing and he is in school, ex-army.
We have 3 dogs; 2 great Danes and one small mutt. I love to read, watch trashy TV and documentaries, and usually down to just hang out with people I like.
I'm tired and gassy (I'm not a gassy person at all and it's so weird). I'm anxious, dealing with the un-controllable with some control issues is always fun 🙃 First appointment is at 6 weeks so in 2 weeks.
Spouse/partner?)
2 daughters. 4 and just turned 1. 1 cat. Married to H for 7 years
How are you feeling? (First appointment? Any symptoms? Emotionally?)
Nervous.
GTKY Fun fact: Tell us about a superstition you have or used to have!
I used to refuse to say I’m happy. I believed it would ruin it.
My partner and I found out when I came home one day and felt dizzy and nauseous and my sister who is very pregnant said “me too” and that was the day I was supposed to have started my period. My partner and I have been trying for a baby and I was super excited but nervous because we’ve only been trying for 2 months. We went to the store bought 5 tests and all five came back positive!
so far I am very super tired and emotional and have recently started getting nauseous and throwing up which I take is a good sign. Twins run in our family so I’m very nervous but excited about the possibility of twins.
Due date: roughly April 20th.
How did you find out? this is a funny story I think!
Emotionally?)
Mannn how am I feeling I am still shocked over this whole thing. Being pregnant and all... I am nauseous, crampy, and tired!!!! I never thought I could sleep as much as I do! I am starting to get acne... honestly I am kinda scared/nervous... but I know both my boyfriend and I will make amazing parents!
GTKY Fun fact:
fun fact about me is 1 I am my moms miracle baby and also twins run in my family! But with this pregnancy only 1 baby! Thank the lord!
Due date?
***End TW***
I always feels like I’m on the verge of being nauseous, and I have some slight crampy/stretchy feelings.
Welp, my secret is officially out... 🙃

I passed my thesis defense and have secured more than one job wearing them 👠
