@mbradfo2 thanks for the reassurance friend. Thats how I am trying to look at it too. Ive been using my essential oil diffuser blowing right at my face some nights, but not consistently, that's the best I can do for humidity at this point. I saw this great Fridababy humidifier that was a night light and diffuser as well, which I think will be perfect for the babies room (and our room when she is sleeping in our room in the beginning) but I cant bring myself to buy it because it feels like I will be jinxing myself. I cant believe your transfer is coming up so soon! How exciting. Sending you all the good juju girl.

CP 3/8/2019 Saw fertility doctor, AFC 5, labs drawn 3/14/2019 Pregnant 4/18/2019 9 week ultrasound MM , stopped growing at 6 weeks, no HB. D&C 5/2/2019 Return to fertility doctor, labs show AMH 0.27. Diminished Ovarian Reserve 1st of 3 Egg retrievals planned tentatively for July 6/29/2019 started Antagonist Protocol 7/12/2019 First egg retrieval, only retrieved one egg and fell apart immediately, poor quality. 8/7/2019. Second cycle (follicular antagonist) canceled on day 5 of stims when a very large lead follicle grew out of nowhere. 11/8/2019. Second Egg retrieval with Lupron Flare Protocol. 2 eggs retrieved, fertilized with ICSI but no reaction occurred at all. @andreamm31 I felt exactly the same way about baby stuff, even when I was expecting. I bought ONE item for the baby when I was 16 weeks along -- a little pink fleece blankie with owls on it from Target -- and I made sure to put it away in the linen closet so I could hide it away easily. It felt like if I did anymore I would be jinxing everything. It had just been such a long, exhausting journey that I couldn't believe I was actually going to have something GOOD happen to me after all of the years of heartbreak and disappointment.

I didn’t actually buy something till maybe my 9month when I needed something for the hospital which technically my mom bought. have you been doing acupuncture on the regular? I did for my transfer bit didn’t continue through the 2ww.

@mbradfo2@Hopeful_mom I do have a letter board for when i finally do bump pics or baby announcement and for their milestones, a cute owl baby scrapbook I found (my grandmother loved owls, so they are special to me), baby sign language flash cards, and an alphabet book for humanity where each letter is like A for abundance (and then they explain what abundance is) , J for joyful, E for empathy, etc. I just loved that concept of teaching those types of words. That's the extent of it. And yes @Hopeful_mom, I've been going to acupuncture weekly for a long time and will continue throughout my pregnancy. I used to share my office with my acupuncturist. I had a private practice doing energy work and giving Healing Touch and Reiki treatments. I stopped doing treatments with Covid last March and officially closed my practice last June after my D&C because I realized I needed to focus solely on my own healing journey and covid made everything so unpredictable. I'm really glad I did that. But my acupuncturist is a very dear friend of mine as we were partners, so its really easy to continue seeing her and making sure I get the balance I need. I also get Reiki regularly. I'm very energy sensitive. I also do treatments on myself!

@andreamm31 That sounds so nice!! I think such a special part of motherhood is what we bring to the table and what we want to impart to our children.
I pray that sooner rather than later you'll have the opportunity to do that alphabet teaching because I know you'll be an AMAZING mom. All of this -- IF, losses, disappointment - is just a crappy, unfair journey that we're on. It took me 6 years to become a mom -- most people don't even believe that when I tell them, it's so out of the realm of ordinary experience. And I know life isn't fair -- but that doesn't stop me from wishing it was!

I've been feeling like crap all weekend with the hormones and I'll be starting the medrol pack pretty soon which is always fun. I kept myself busy getting some easter basket things for my nieces; I love being the fun aunt! It was actually really healing to me during the first part of my journey to spoil my nieces and buy them little presents every so often and take them to the park/beach. I've been feeling really restless which I know is the anxiety but it's made doing anything a struggle - esp. the CME's I'm trying to get done at the last second. My doctor gave me some ativan to help, but I've been trying to avoid taking it since I know I won't be able to if the transfer works.

Me: Hashimoto Autoimune Disease Homozygous MTHFR Cr677 DOR - AMH .27 High FSH (don't even know how high) 2 iui's to start - BFN IVF 1 -3 made it do day 5! 2 5AA 1 6BB PGS results = all abnormal IVF 2 - stimmed for 19 days. insanity. Had 5 follicles that looked mature but only 2 contained mature eggs the others were empty. Nothing made it to day 5 IVF 3 - added in HGH - 4 mature follicles (had some empties again) 3 made it to day 5/6 for PGS (held for testing with next retrieval IVF 4 - Upped my dosage for the first time - Canceled 11 days into sims - looked like 1 follicle and we were afraid it was empty IVF 5 - Canceled - looked like 1 follicle and we were afraid it was empty IVF 6 - 3 mature, 2 fertalized 1 made it to day 5 and sent for PGS
Sent in IVF round 3 and 6 (4 embryos) for PGS testing and got 2 normal embryos!!! 1Boy and 1Girl. Took a little over a year to get those two embryos so demanded all sorts of test prior to attempting transfer. Did EFT, ERA and NK Cells testing.
FET#1 - Intralipid drips, Prednisone, and did a depot lupron shot before starting the FET protocol Chemical pregnancy FET#2 - PGS normal boy - BFN Natural pregnancy - cycle following the FET2???? Miscarriage at 8 weeks. viability scan had shown an enlarged yolk sac so I had been warned that it was likely not chromosonally normal
DEIVF cycle - picked a donor who is willing to be open! Her cycle resulted in in 4 PGS Normal embryos 1st transfer - chemical pregnancy 2nd transfer - success, May 17 2020 due date!

@hopefuljj belatedly, thank you so much for sharing your story. It's so wonderful your donor was willing to be open and that you've had such a positive experience with her! The idea of creating your own baby book and starting early sounds smart -- you can work out the awkward phrases and tough parts while she is just months old
@mbradfo2 I do the live online yoga classes at yogaworks. It is not nearly as effective as going in person but given ~all this~ it is kind of nice to see a real person teaching a live class (even if I keep my zoom camera off myself!)
AFM: I am waiting for day one and the hopeful start of a second round of stims. I am on estrace priming and the RE predicted my period would start five days ago but no sign of it yet. I'm not sure if the estrace has messed with the timing or if all my supplements actually lengthened my follicular phase. (Hoping for the later but no idea if that could be the case!)

@andreamm31 woohoo!! The progression looks great grow baby grow! Sending all good vibes your way!! I totally get your journey now especially with your practice. Trusting the person that is doing it for you is amazing! I find it so hard to relax during acupuncture as my brain is going miles a minute so that's probably part of the problem and the extra expense on top of everything is tough right now! I did it pre and post transfer but didn't continue with it through the week...its very hard now to do that. Maybe i'll have to see what other things I can maybe do at home to help.

Thank you ladies for being in my corner and rooting me on.. its been a rough few days of waiting, as you all know. And of course, I kept testing with FRER and the cheapies and my FRER were not getting darker so I've been spiraling and pretty convinced it failed. I'll share picks in the spoiler with the rest of my update.
So I went to my beta today just super negative and practically already grieving this loss because if my beta doubled, then surely the test would have been darker today, right??? God I hate these stupid tests, they mess with my head so bad. So I just got the call and my beta today is 139 from 62!!! Holy shit!!!!!!! Im in shock. They weren't gonna test me again Friday but I begged and they said I'd have to do it at my doctor's office with my insurance so I will be able to do it Friday then a week and a half till my first ultrasound. So hopefully I continue to get good news. I just can't believe it....but I think cuz I've been so traumatized, it's hard believing something is possibly working. And no more pregnancy tests from here on out!

Diminished Ovarian Reserve 1st of 3 Egg retrievals planned tentatively for July 6/29/2019 started Antagonist Protocol 7/12/2019 First egg retrieval, only retrieved one egg and fell apart immediately, poor quality. 8/7/2019. Second cycle (follicular antagonist) canceled on day 5 of stims when a very large lead follicle grew out of nowhere. 11/8/2019. Moving forward with Donor Egg cycle at Utah Fertility Center and sharing a cycle with ladypOtter (Gina) I met on the Bump who was also supposed to go to Prague but couldn't. 9/26/2020 Donor retrieval of 26 eggs, 24 mature. Split cycle so I have 12 eggs with all 12 fertilizing. 6 PGS normal 3 boys, 3 girls 10/29/2020 Transfer day of girl donor egg embryo. BFP! First HCG 92.9. Then inappropriate rise, plateau and falling. Possibly ectopic pregnancy. ER visit with diagnosis of "pregnancy location unknown". CP 1/19/2021 Embryos shipped from Utah to my local clinic, starting prednisone for anti-histamine protocol. 2/26/2021 FET girl embryo BFP. Betas 62, 139, 386! HB at 6 weeks, then baby stopped growing at 8 week check up with weak HB measuring 6 weeks 4 days. MM at 9 weeks. D&C 4/15/21 7/13/2021 FET boy and girl embryos. First beta 10dp5dt 177, 14dp5dt 1631, 16dp5dt 6809. Pregnant with Identical triplets. At 9 weeks, Baby C no longer had a heart beat. Identical Twin Girls. Pregnancy complicated by TRAP Sequence with baby C an Acardiac fetus still receiving blood flow being pumped to it by other girls. Referred to UCSF at 18 weeks for consultation. No intervention needed at this time 2/18/22 After a failed NST, at 34 weeks 1 day, Charlotte born 4lb 4oz and Lily born 4lbs 10 oz. Our hearts are complete. Baby girls in NICU to grow and learn to eat.
@andreamm31 Yay yay yay!! That was a great rise!! I agree, stay away from the urine tests - I understand the desire to keep testing but they can be slightly off and cause tons of anxiety. I am glad that you are able to get tested again on Friday - you are your greatest advocate and need to do what makes you feel best.

Me: Hashimoto Autoimune Disease Homozygous MTHFR Cr677 DOR - AMH .27 High FSH (don't even know how high) 2 iui's to start - BFN IVF 1 -3 made it do day 5! 2 5AA 1 6BB PGS results = all abnormal IVF 2 - stimmed for 19 days. insanity. Had 5 follicles that looked mature but only 2 contained mature eggs the others were empty. Nothing made it to day 5 IVF 3 - added in HGH - 4 mature follicles (had some empties again) 3 made it to day 5/6 for PGS (held for testing with next retrieval IVF 4 - Upped my dosage for the first time - Canceled 11 days into sims - looked like 1 follicle and we were afraid it was empty IVF 5 - Canceled - looked like 1 follicle and we were afraid it was empty IVF 6 - 3 mature, 2 fertalized 1 made it to day 5 and sent for PGS
Sent in IVF round 3 and 6 (4 embryos) for PGS testing and got 2 normal embryos!!! 1Boy and 1Girl. Took a little over a year to get those two embryos so demanded all sorts of test prior to attempting transfer. Did EFT, ERA and NK Cells testing.
FET#1 - Intralipid drips, Prednisone, and did a depot lupron shot before starting the FET protocol Chemical pregnancy FET#2 - PGS normal boy - BFN Natural pregnancy - cycle following the FET2???? Miscarriage at 8 weeks. viability scan had shown an enlarged yolk sac so I had been warned that it was likely not chromosonally normal
DEIVF cycle - picked a donor who is willing to be open! Her cycle resulted in in 4 PGS Normal embryos 1st transfer - chemical pregnancy 2nd transfer - success, May 17 2020 due date!

@andreamm31 - yay!!! omg, I'm so happy to see those numbers in your updates! Don't pee on the sticks at this point - I remember the line darkening for the fist few days after showing up, and then staying the same (or even looking lighter) for a few weeks after that, and I was freaking out about it. It wasn't helpful, it was just creating a whole lot of anxiety that's definitely not needed at this stage. Trust your body and trust the little embaby! You have a lot of people from here sending you all the best vibes and keeping all the fingers and toes crossed for you!

hi ladies - looking for some input on how you all picked which embryos to use. Did you always go with just the best looking and let your dr pick? With coming off a failed natural cycle IF things don't go the way I hope this cycle I think I will have to look into doing a medicated cycle if that's what my body likes better...so do you save one of your better graded embryos for that option. Would love to hear your thoughts on this, thanks!
My embryo choices are 3 pgs normies and grades are 5BA, 5BB and a 6 day 5BA. (My perfect 5AA did not work this past transfer)

@hopeful_mom- personally, if things aren’t looking perfect, I wouldn’t transfer at all. So if you aren’t comfortable risking your best embryo, I would cancel ans try again next month. But that’s just me. I have learned that delays and cancelled cycles suck, but a failed transfer hurts wayyy more.

@andreamm31 woohoo! keeping growing, little one!!! I'm so happy for you!! Now to survive the wait until the ultrasound... Feeling good? Any symptoms yet? I don't remember having many symptoms before my first u/s and my RE didn't ask about it. My 8 - 10 week u/s he would always ask how I was feeling and was so delighted when I said I felt like crap! Are you keeping up the reiki? I'm going to get acupuncture and a massage before my transfer next week and I'll probably do it at least once or twice during the TWW.
Lining check went well; I've never had issues with my lining though, so I wasn't anticipating any problems. 8.3mm and trilaminar -- I've never had lining above a 9 and my doctor says as long as it's over 8 and trilaminar, he's happy with it. Ugh, I've been having horrible hot flashes all day -- which is odd since estrogen prevents hot flashes!

Hi everyone! Sorry for the radio silence, update in spoiler -TW- birth announcement/PPD talk. And apologies, I haven't caught up on everyone's posts but I will!
Thursday 2/25 was my induction date. Came to the hospital, got started on pitocin around 9am, based on progress, nurses were confident we’d have a baby by 5 pm. Except when I started pushing little girl just wouldn’t come out! I had an epidural so my pushing probably wasn’t as productive as it could have been but also baby was in a weird position (her head was sideways and I have a narrow pelvis). Little girl started to get stressed, at which point my OB recommended a c section. We decided that was our best option, although it really scared me -- as I was wheeled into the OR, I just was sobbing and I just told my OB -- please, please make sure my baby makes it. My OB got down into my face and told me, "I know what you've been through, everything is going to be okay, I got this." The nurses had assured me before we went in that my OB was the fastest and best c-section in the West (lol!) so I tried to trust that. But I was sobbing and terrified until the moment that I heard our baby cry and I told my boyfriend to go with the baby and be with her.
It was really hard b/c it just wasn't my vision of my birth story and with a c-section you don't get to do skin to skin immediately. The recovery and pain was also a little bit more intense than I expected and it was hard to do much with our baby girl immediately in the few days following her birth. Add to that that a few days after birth my blood pressure started zooming up and baby girl had jaundice so needed to stay in the nursery for a few days. We ended up staying in the hospital for 5 days to get both under control. As well, my milk wasn't coming in so I started pumping every 3 hours and between that and feeding/changing my LO every few hours and nurses coming in at all hours to give me medication and take my blood pressure, I was getting very little sleep and was absolutely exhausted. My milk (2 weeks later) still hasn't come in which sucks -- it was something I really wanted to do with baby girl but my body just doesn't want to participate and I'm getting bored and tired of pumping. But it makes me sad every time she goes for the boob and there's no return on investment for her. I feel like I have been denied so much on this journey, it's just not fair that there's one more thing that gets denied to me. I'm trying to change my perspective to focus on the fact that I have an adorable and healthy baby girl, but I know this is something I still have to mourn fully.
To add onto that, about 3 days after birth I started experiencing reallllly intense anxiety and mood swings. It was truly terrifying and I had no idea how bad it would be. I had heard about the baby blues but I just didn't know how hard it could be and I felt a little embarrassed that I wasn't over the moon with happiness after my baby girl that I worked so hard for was born. Things have started to improve but that certainly was rough -- the first few days we were home my BP was sky high and I was so jittery I didn't eat for several days. I'm already down 17 lbs from my pregnancy weight -- but it's due all to anxiety and the water weight I was carrying. However, it definitely is getting better, esp as I bond more with LO.
So my friends, here is Miss Millie June, born 2/25, 5 lbs 15 ounces, 19 inches. She is totally adorable, and I don't know if it is epigenetics or what, but she has big palms and extra long fingers, just like mama!
OMG, she is adorbz!!! And green soothies are the best pacifiers! Trick for when she's a little older -- put a couple in her crib (if she takes the pacifier to bed) and that way if it falls out, she won't be scuttling around looking for another one. My daughter switched over to her thumb pretty early on and still sucks her thumb at bedtime...DH keeps on seeing orthodontist bills in his future. A touch of jaundice but not really anything too alarming -- did they do light therapy with her? In some ways, it's good that you stayed in hospital with her for so long -- I hate sending parents with jaundiced babies back to the hospital to get bilis and light therapy; I know they'd much rather be at home nesting and cuddling. I love when OB's show their understanding of how precious these little ones are -- sometimes you can get caught up in the work and forget there's a baby. When I was admitted for pre-eclampsia, the OB on call was someone I didn't really know at all...but when he heard my story and found that this was an IVF baby, he was so kind and told me that he understand how very very precious my baby was to me and that I didn't need to worry - all would be handled. Hopeful_mom - First time I just told them to pick the best looking embryo and let the embryologist use his/her discretion on that. Second time I told them to pick the best looking female embryo. Both times it worked out.
@lucyb1954 I know we already talk outside the bump, but I just want to reiterate how over the moon happy I am for you. And at the same time, sad that you still have struggles after everything you have been through. I think it is amazing you have been so vulnerable sharing with everyone the ups and downs of the postpartum part of your journey and think you are so strong for being able to recognize when things are not quite right. Love you girl and cant wait to hear more about Miss Millie June.

Im curious to see how my nausea will be. My longest pregnancy with the worst nausea, I had sky high HCG levels that rose fast, and we discovered after our D&C that the baby had Down syndrome, so it will be interesting to see if that was the reason my nausea was so bad and hopefully I don't have it quite as bad this time with a healthy pgs tested baby.
@Hopeful_mom I agree with the others, I think that if you don't care about the sex, you can let the embryologist choose the embryo. I asked them to do the best graded female embryo each time because we are hoping for our a girl first.

Diminished Ovarian Reserve 1st of 3 Egg retrievals planned tentatively for July 6/29/2019 started Antagonist Protocol 7/12/2019 First egg retrieval, only retrieved one egg and fell apart immediately, poor quality. 8/7/2019. Second cycle (follicular antagonist) canceled on day 5 of stims when a very large lead follicle grew out of nowhere. 11/8/2019. please don't be so hard on yourself, you're amazing and got your lil girl here safely! I teared up and am so glad you have an amazing OB to get you through this journey. Are you not making any milk at all? Just remember a rest mama and fed baby is best. My milk never showed up the way I had hoped so I gave any drops I could get and supplemented the rest. I tried everything ender the sun and had my moments of feeling so let down...but like you I looked at my healthy baby and had to thank my body for that. The jaundice is scary, I had the baby with me in the incubator and it was the worst part of my stay in the hospital. Pumping is the worst, happy to chat and go over any ideas. Just remember fed is best, which will help you as well, I hope! Wishing you all the happiness in the world. These first few months will be a blur, you got this!!
andreamm31 Like they say every pregnancy is different hopefully you'll find what can help ease your nausea. Mine was mint candy and pretzels, many said ginger but I just couldn't get on board. Some gingerale helped too at times. I want lie as awful as I felt the nausea at least gave me piece things were cooking, it was the moment I didn't have it I then started to worry. When do you go back again?
AFM: Thanks so much for all the advice, I truly went back and forth on it. Going through so many cycles there was just a lot of thought process about it. Happy to report, my lil Bub is nicely tucked away, and I am PASP!

@andreamm31 Yeah, HCG levels can be tied to degree of nausea, but you probably wouldn't get nausea for another week or two I bet -- and it depends on how sensitive you are in general. The major thing the nurses told me that actually helped was eating very regularly even if I wasn't hungry -- I kept saltines on my desk and would eat a couple every hour or so. And since I would get periods during the day where I felt fine nausea-wise, I tried to eat well then -- my big food in pregnancy was pho; I think we went to our local pho place once a week! . Maybe as a result, DD loves any soup and gets super excited if I make soup. I ordered clear broth veggie and tofu soup this week for a dinner appetizer and she stole it!
Transfer next Friday seems to be good to go; I've been getting bad headaches all this week and thought it was the estrogen, then I realized yesterday afternoon that I had forgotten to put out my migraine medicine for the past week! So I took a dose yesterday evening and started feeling much better...back to taking it daily so hopefully the headaches will fade away. Did a little shopping online yesterday for some sundresses as it's starting to get hot and made sure to get empire waist ones just in case XD We were making plans for vacation in early July, probably going to rent a cabin somewhere and relax!
We were driving along the beach yesterday evening and one of the hotel pools was open and body-to-body people without masks drinking at the bar and partying...(spring break is upcoming sooo this was like spring break light, I guess). /sigh

Ha! @Hopeful_mom Caught me! We are actually just waiting for AF to beging my testing cycle for return to center. If all goes smoothly, we could be transferring as soon as late April! Oof, my stomach is in knots though, just hoping and praying we may have another THB waiting for us... 🙏🙏🙏
As for TWW, I tried to take it easy - but not too easy. Still keeping the blood flowing etc, and well as relax and watch some funny movies / shows! Laughter is the best TWW medicine ;) So excited for you!
@lucyb1954 wow lady!!!!! I’m in tears! She’s here!!! Congratulations!!!!!!!!! Listen....I can’t believe how identical our stories are. Like, how bazaar is it that basically every detail matches?!!!! The failed induction, the c-section, the milk forgetting to come to the party....the blood pressure...(although mine was Pre-E and put on a mag drip, yuck)....5 days in the hospital.....it’s wild. I hope you didn’t end up with leaky heart valves!!!!!!! That would just be too weird. first off I need you to know that I do deeply regret spending so much time pumping (NOTHING EVER CAME OUT!! Like maybe drops here and there!). and being miserable over the breast shit. 1 100% understand exactly how you feel but like already mentioned above, fed is best and a happy momma is a happy baby. I am so sorry you are going through this but I PROMISE you, you will NOT CARE in 7 months. It does not matter. Just feed that baby a bottle and stop trying to pump when you feel ready to let it go. I drove myself crazy pumping every 2 hours for weeeeeeeks. I eventually stopped pumping cuz all it did was give me Reynards in my breasts....so I nursed her on either side at every meal for like 10 minutes each (she got sooo little so sometimes she was over a boob in a few minutes) and then bottle fed her for 3 months. When she full on started to refuse my boobs around that time and I realized there weren’t even drops anymore, I cried and then was so relieved it was finally over. And in retrospect I wish I had just given myself grace earlier and just enjoyed my time with her or slept more, lol. I’m gonna DM you tomorrow. I’ve got some FB groups that will help you feel so much better and I’m here if you ever want to talk. Also, the first 4 months suck. They are hard hard hard and you will get through them and she will start to become a little amazing person who isn’t just screaming at you or sleeping, lol. Don’t feel like you need to love these early days. They suck. BUT it gets better. SO much better. It gets amazing. I hope our girls get to meet one day, we can drink wine and watch them play and all the awful disappointing shit will just be in the past.
Me: Hashimoto Autoimune Disease Homozygous MTHFR Cr677 DOR - AMH .27 High FSH (don't even know how high) 2 iui's to start - BFN IVF 1 -3 made it do day 5! 2 5AA 1 6BB PGS results = all abnormal IVF 2 - stimmed for 19 days. insanity. Had 5 follicles that looked mature but only 2 contained mature eggs the others were empty. Nothing made it to day 5 IVF 3 - added in HGH - 4 mature follicles (had some empties again) 3 made it to day 5/6 for PGS (held for testing with next retrieval IVF 4 - Upped my dosage for the first time - Canceled 11 days into sims - looked like 1 follicle and we were afraid it was empty IVF 5 - Canceled - looked like 1 follicle and we were afraid it was empty IVF 6 - 3 mature, 2 fertalized 1 made it to day 5 and sent for PGS
Sent in IVF round 3 and 6 (4 embryos) for PGS testing and got 2 normal embryos!!! 1Boy and 1Girl. Took a little over a year to get those two embryos so demanded all sorts of test prior to attempting transfer. Did EFT, ERA and NK Cells testing.
FET#1 - Intralipid drips, Prednisone, and did a depot lupron shot before starting the FET protocol Chemical pregnancy FET#2 - PGS normal boy - BFN Natural pregnancy - cycle following the FET2???? Miscarriage at 8 weeks. viability scan had shown an enlarged yolk sac so I had been warned that it was likely not chromosonally normal
DEIVF cycle - picked a donor who is willing to be open! Her cycle resulted in in 4 PGS Normal embryos 1st transfer - chemical pregnancy 2nd transfer - success, May 17 2020 due date!

@c-town18 thanks friend. I got some good self care today with acupuncture and reiki and feel much better overall. I had every intention of getting FRER at Target and completely forgot when I was there and got all my other items. I think it was probably a good thing!

I felt exactly the same way about baby stuff, even when I was expecting. I bought ONE item for the baby when I was 16 weeks along -- a little pink fleece blankie with owls on it from Target -- and I made sure to put it away in the linen closet so I could hide it away easily. It felt like if I did anymore I would be jinxing everything. It had just been such a long, exhausting journey that I couldn't believe I was actually going to have something GOOD happen to me after all of the years of heartbreak and disappointment.

And yes @Hopeful_mom, I've been going to acupuncture weekly for a long time and will continue throughout my pregnancy. I used to share my office with my acupuncturist. I had a private practice doing energy work and giving Healing Touch and Reiki treatments. I stopped doing treatments with Covid last March and officially closed my practice last June after my D&C because I realized I needed to focus solely on my own healing journey and covid made everything so unpredictable. I'm really glad I did that. But my acupuncturist is a very dear friend of mine as we were partners, so its really easy to continue seeing her and making sure I get the balance I need. I also get Reiki regularly. I'm very energy sensitive. I also do treatments on myself!

06/04/2020 After HBs at 7 and 9 weeks, MM at 10 weeks 3 days. D&C, Hemorrhaged out 1 liter of blood from uterine artery rupture during procedure. Spent 1 night in the hospital with a balloon tamponade in my uterus. Baby was mosaic Trisomy 21.
8/2020. Moving forward with Donor Egg cycle at Utah Fertility Center and sharing a cycle with ladypOtter (Gina) I met on the Bump who was also supposed to go to Prague but couldn't.
9/26/2020 Donor retrieval of 26 eggs, 24 mature. Split cycle so I have 12 eggs with all 12 fertilizing. 6 PGS normal 3 boys, 3 girls
10/29/2020 Transfer day of girl donor egg embryo. BFP! First HCG 92.9. Then inappropriate rise, plateau and falling. Possibly ectopic pregnancy. ER visit with diagnosis of "pregnancy location unknown". CP

2/26/2021 FET girl embryo BFP. Betas 62, 139, 386! HB at 6 weeks, then baby stopped growing at 8 week check up with weak HB measuring 6 weeks 4 days. MM at 9 weeks. D&C 4/15/21
7/13/2021 FET boy and girl embryos. First beta 10dp5dt 177, 14dp5dt 1631, 16dp5dt 6809. Pregnant with Identical triplets. At 9 weeks, Baby C no longer had a heart beat. Identical Twin Girls. Pregnancy complicated by TRAP Sequence with baby C an Acardiac fetus still receiving blood flow being pumped to it by other girls. Referred to UCSF at 18 weeks for consultation. No intervention needed at this time
2/18/22 After a failed NST, at 34 weeks 1 day, Charlotte born 4lb 4oz and Lily born 4lbs 10 oz. Our hearts are complete. Baby girls in NICU to grow and learn to eat.
That sounds so nice!! I think such a special part of motherhood is what we bring to the table and what we want to impart to our children.
I pray that sooner rather than later you'll have the opportunity to do that alphabet teaching because I know you'll be an AMAZING mom.

I've been feeling like crap all weekend with the hormones and I'll be starting the medrol pack pretty soon which is always fun. I kept myself busy getting some easter basket things for my nieces; I love being the fun aunt! It was actually really healing to me during the first part of my journey to spoil my nieces and buy them little presents every so often and take them to the park/beach. I've been feeling really restless which I know is the anxiety but it's made doing anything a struggle - esp. the CME's I'm trying to get done at the last second. My doctor gave me some ativan to help, but I've been trying to avoid taking it since I know I won't be able to if the transfer works.

IVF 3 - added in HGH - 4 mature follicles (had some empties again) 3 made it to day 5/6 for PGS (held for testing with next retrieval
IVF 4 - Upped my dosage for the first time - Canceled 11 days into sims - looked like 1 follicle and we were afraid it was empty
IVF 5 - Canceled - looked like 1 follicle and we were afraid it was empty
IVF 6 - 3 mature, 2 fertalized 1 made it to day 5 and sent for PGS
Sent in IVF round 3 and 6 (4 embryos) for PGS testing and got 2 normal embryos!!! 1Boy and 1Girl. Took a little over a year to get those two embryos so demanded all sorts of test prior to attempting transfer. Did EFT, ERA and NK Cells testing.
FET#1 - Intralipid drips, Prednisone, and did a depot lupron shot before starting the FET protocol

Natural pregnancy - cycle following the FET2???? Miscarriage at 8 weeks. viability scan had shown an enlarged yolk sac so I had been warned that it was likely not chromosonally normal
DEIVF cycle - picked a donor who is willing to be open! Her cycle resulted in in 4 PGS Normal embryos
1st transfer - chemical pregnancy
2nd transfer - success, May 17 2020 due date!

@mbradfo2 I do the live online yoga classes at yogaworks. It is not nearly as effective as going in person but given ~all this~ it is kind of nice to see a real person teaching a live class (even if I keep my zoom camera off myself!)
AFM: I am waiting for day one and the hopeful start of a second round of stims. I am on estrace priming and the RE predicted my period would start five days ago but no sign of it yet. I'm not sure if the estrace has messed with the timing or if all my supplements actually lengthened my follicular phase. (Hoping for the later but no idea if that could be the case!)

I totally get your journey now especially with your practice. Trusting the person that is doing it for you is amazing! I find it so hard to relax during acupuncture as my brain is going miles a minute so that's probably part of the problem and the extra expense on top of everything is tough right now! I did it pre and post transfer but didn't continue with it through the week...its very hard now to do that. Maybe i'll have to see what other things I can maybe do at home to help.

So I went to my beta today just super negative and practically already grieving this loss because if my beta doubled, then surely the test would have been darker today, right??? God I hate these stupid tests, they mess with my head so bad. So I just got the call and my beta today is 139 from 62!!! Holy shit!!!!!!! Im in shock. They weren't gonna test me again Friday but I begged and they said I'd have to do it at my doctor's office with my insurance so I will be able to do it Friday then a week and a half till my first ultrasound. So hopefully I continue to get good news. I just can't believe it....but I think cuz I've been so traumatized, it's hard believing something is possibly working. And no more pregnancy tests from here on out!

Don't pee on the sticks at this point - I remember the line darkening for the fist few days after showing up, and then staying the same (or even looking lighter) for a few weeks after that, and I was freaking out about it. It wasn't helpful, it was just creating a whole lot of anxiety that's definitely not needed at this stage. Trust your body and trust the little embaby! You have a lot of people from here sending you all the best vibes and keeping all the fingers and toes crossed for you!

@hopeful_mom- personally, if things aren’t looking perfect, I wouldn’t transfer at all. So if you aren’t comfortable risking your best embryo, I would cancel ans try again next month. But that’s just me. I have learned that delays and cancelled cycles suck, but a failed transfer hurts wayyy more.

woohoo! keeping growing, little one!!! I'm so happy for you!! Now to survive the wait until the ultrasound... Feeling good? Any symptoms yet? I don't remember having many symptoms before my first u/s and my RE didn't ask about it. My 8 - 10 week u/s he would always ask how I was feeling and was so delighted when I said I felt like crap! Are you keeping up the reiki? I'm going to get acupuncture and a massage before my transfer next week and I'll probably do it at least once or twice during the TWW.
Lining check went well; I've never had issues with my lining though, so I wasn't anticipating any problems. 8.3mm and trilaminar -- I've never had lining above a 9 and my doctor says as long as it's over 8 and trilaminar, he's happy with it. Ugh, I've been having horrible hot flashes all day -- which is odd since estrogen prevents hot flashes!

It was really hard b/c it just wasn't my vision of my birth story and with a c-section you don't get to do skin to skin immediately. The recovery and pain was also a little bit more intense than I expected and it was hard to do much with our baby girl immediately in the few days following her birth. Add to that that a few days after birth my blood pressure started zooming up and baby girl had jaundice so needed to stay in the nursery for a few days. We ended up staying in the hospital for 5 days to get both under control. As well, my milk wasn't coming in so I started pumping every 3 hours and between that and feeding/changing my LO every few hours and nurses coming in at all hours to give me medication and take my blood pressure, I was getting very little sleep and was absolutely exhausted. My milk (2 weeks later) still hasn't come in which sucks -- it was something I really wanted to do with baby girl but my body just doesn't want to participate and I'm getting bored and tired of pumping. But it makes me sad every time she goes for the boob and there's no return on investment for her. I feel like I have been denied so much on this journey, it's just not fair that there's one more thing that gets denied to me. I'm trying to change my perspective to focus on the fact that I have an adorable and healthy baby girl, but I know this is something I still have to mourn fully.
To add onto that, about 3 days after birth I started experiencing reallllly intense anxiety and mood swings. It was truly terrifying and I had no idea how bad it would be. I had heard about the baby blues but I just didn't know how hard it could be and I felt a little embarrassed that I wasn't over the moon with happiness after my baby girl that I worked so hard for was born. Things have started to improve but that certainly was rough -- the first few days we were home my BP was sky high and I was so jittery I didn't eat for several days. I'm already down 17 lbs from my pregnancy weight -- but it's due all to anxiety and the water weight I was carrying. However, it definitely is getting better, esp as I bond more with LO.
So my friends, here is Miss Millie June, born 2/25, 5 lbs 15 ounces, 19 inches. She is totally adorable, and I don't know if it is epigenetics or what, but she has big palms and extra long fingers, just like mama!
I love when OB's show their understanding of how precious these little ones are -- sometimes you can get caught up in the work and forget there's a baby. When I was admitted for pre-eclampsia, the OB on call was someone I didn't really know at all...but when he heard my story and found that this was an IVF baby, he was so kind and told me that he understand how very very precious my baby was to me and that I didn't need to worry - all would be handled.

Hopeful_mom - First time I just told them to pick the best looking embryo and let the embryologist use his/her discretion on that. Second time I told them to pick the best looking female embryo. Both times it worked out.

I am happy to report I stuck with my post about not testing on my own because I knew it wasn't going to give me any useful information.
@mbradfo2 I am having some cramping and sore boobs and exhaustion, but that's about it. Im curious to see how my nausea will be. My longest pregnancy with the worst nausea, I had sky high HCG levels that rose fast, and we discovered after our D&C that the baby had Down syndrome, so it will be interesting to see if that was the reason my nausea was so bad and hopefully I don't have it quite as bad this time with a healthy pgs tested baby.
@Hopeful_mom I agree with the others, I think that if you don't care about the sex, you can let the embryologist choose the embryo. I asked them to do the best graded female embryo each time because we are hoping for our a girl first.

andreamm31 Like they say every pregnancy is different hopefully you'll find what can help ease your nausea. Mine was mint candy and pretzels, many said ginger but I just couldn't get on board. Some gingerale helped too at times. I want lie as awful as I felt the nausea at least gave me piece things were cooking, it was the moment I didn't have it I then started to worry. When do you go back again?

Yeah, HCG levels can be tied to degree of nausea, but you probably wouldn't get nausea for another week or two I bet -- and it depends on how sensitive you are in general. The major thing the nurses told me that actually helped was eating very regularly even if I wasn't hungry -- I kept saltines on my desk and would eat a couple every hour or so. And since I would get periods during the day where I felt fine nausea-wise, I tried to eat well then -- my big food in pregnancy was pho; I think we went to our local pho place once a week! . Maybe as a result, DD loves any soup and gets super excited if I make soup. I ordered clear broth veggie and tofu soup this week for a dinner appetizer and she stole it!

Transfer next Friday seems to be good to go; I've been getting bad headaches all this week and thought it was the estrogen, then I realized yesterday afternoon that I had forgotten to put out my migraine medicine for the past week! So I took a dose yesterday evening and started feeling much better...back to taking it daily so hopefully the headaches will fade away. Did a little shopping online yesterday for some sundresses as it's starting to get hot and made sure to get empire waist ones just in case XD We were making plans for vacation in early July, probably going to rent a cabin somewhere and relax!
We were driving along the beach yesterday evening and one of the hotel pools was open and body-to-body people without masks drinking at the bar and partying...(spring break is upcoming sooo this was like spring break light, I guess). /sigh
Summer 2015 - no BFP yet, labs normal, referred to RE
Fall 2015 - Summer 2016 - Further testing all normal. 3 IUI's -- BFN. Recommended move to IVF. Planned cycle for fall 2016.
September 2016 - Surprise natural BFP. MMC @ 8 weeks. RE expressed confidence that we just needed the 'right' embryo.
Fall 2016 - Spring 2017 -- Break from TTC
June 2017 - Started IVF; egg retrieval for freeze all cycle. 9 mature eggs retrieved, 5 fertilized. 2 4BB embies on ice.
August 2017 - FET transfer both embies. BFP. Twin pregnancy confirmed by ultrasound. EDD 4/28/18
September 2017 - Twin B stopped developing; Twin A doing perfectly! Graduated from RE @ 10 weeks
March 2018 - Baby Girl born via C/S due to pre-eclampsia -- strong and healthy!

As for TWW, I tried to take it easy - but not too easy. Still keeping the blood flowing etc, and well as relax and watch some funny movies / shows! Laughter is the best TWW medicine ;) So excited for you!
first off I need you to know that I do deeply regret spending so much time pumping (NOTHING EVER CAME OUT!! Like maybe drops here and there!). and being miserable over the breast shit. 1 100% understand exactly how you feel but like already mentioned above, fed is best and a happy momma is a happy baby. I am so sorry you are going through this but I PROMISE you, you will NOT CARE in 7 months. It does not matter. Just feed that baby a bottle and stop trying to pump when you feel ready to let it go. I drove myself crazy pumping every 2 hours for weeeeeeeks. I eventually stopped pumping cuz all it did was give me Reynards in my breasts....so I nursed her on either side at every meal for like 10 minutes each (she got sooo little so sometimes she was over a boob in a few minutes) and then bottle fed her for 3 months. When she full on started to refuse my boobs around that time and I realized there weren’t even drops anymore, I cried and then was so relieved it was finally over. And in retrospect I wish I had just given myself grace earlier and just enjoyed my time with her or slept more, lol. I’m gonna DM you tomorrow. I’ve got some FB groups that will help you feel so much better and I’m here if you ever want to talk. Also, the first 4 months suck. They are hard hard hard and you will get through them and she will start to become a little amazing person who isn’t just screaming at you or sleeping, lol. Don’t feel like you need to love these early days. They suck. BUT it gets better. SO much better. It gets amazing. I hope our girls get to meet one day, we can drink wine and watch them play and all the awful disappointing shit will just be in the past.

2 iui's to start - BFN
IVF 1 -3 made it do day 5! 2 5AA 1 6BB PGS results = all abnormal
IVF 2 - stimmed for 19 days. insanity. Had 5 follicles that looked mature but only 2 contained mature eggs the others were empty. Nothing made it to day 5
IVF 3 - added in HGH - 4 mature follicles (had some empties again) 3 made it to day 5/6 for PGS (held for testing with next retrieval
IVF 4 - Upped my dosage for the first time - Canceled 11 days into sims - looked like 1 follicle and we were afraid it was empty
IVF 5 - Canceled - looked like 1 follicle and we were afraid it was empty
IVF 6 - 3 mature, 2 fertalized 1 made it to day 5 and sent for PGS
Sent in IVF round 3 and 6 (4 embryos) for PGS testing and got 2 normal embryos!!! 1Boy and 1Girl. Took a little over a year to get those two embryos so demanded all sorts of test prior to attempting transfer. Did EFT, ERA and NK Cells testing.
FET#1 - Intralipid drips, Prednisone, and did a depot lupron shot before starting the FET protocol
Chemical pregnancy
FET#2 - PGS normal boy - BFN
Natural pregnancy - cycle following the FET2???? Miscarriage at 8 weeks. viability scan had shown an enlarged yolk sac so I had been warned that it was likely not chromosonally normal
DEIVF cycle - picked a donor who is willing to be open! Her cycle resulted in in 4 PGS Normal embryos
1st transfer - chemical pregnancy
2nd transfer - success, May 17 2020 due date!
