Welcome @BourbonBiscuits! I think most of us on here can relate, so sorry for that stress. I also have a couple friends who have a very similar job to you and I know covid is making it super tough! Hang in there! Holiday break can't come soon enough...
Married DW 08.2013; AI 2x; IUI 6x; IUI #7 05.2015; DD born 2.2016 ; Reciprocal IVF FET #1 on 11.18.2020
Due date? 8/10 or 8/14, depending on the calculator.
How did you find out? I’m still in shock from seeing the positive test this morning as I had written this cycle off. I tested periodically through the week because I’ve felt so off but kept getting negatives. Yesterday I realized I was using very expired tests. I bought a pack of tests after I missed my period and it was positive!
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets?Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?): I’m 33 and my DH is 34. We have a 3 year old and two dogs. I love to cook, read (especially memoirs, historical fiction and cookbooks- yes I read them like novels) drink craft beer, and exercise (spinning, running and and yoga mostly). I am also really passionate about travel but with Covid all our travels plans for 2020 and early 2021 we’re cancelled. Hoping to rekindle that passion as soon as it is safe to do so.
First appointment? Any symptoms? My doc said she’d see me around 8 weeks for my initial appt and dating scan. I am likely going to be high risk due to some health issues that developed shortly after my last pregnancy and continued thereafter. Also my last pregnancy I had emergent onset pre-eclampsia so I’m sure I’ll have regular blood pressure tests this go around. As for symptoms, I’ve felt really off all week which I chalked up to stress and lack of sleep after my negative tests. In addition to that I’ve had cramping, some pressure, and horrible bloating- Like could barely fit in my pants today type bloating. I hope that is short lived.😬
I’m really excited to get to know all you ladies during this journey. I am still very close with ladies I met on an online forum with my first pregnancy. We talk almost everyday. Hoping to find and provide the same type of care and support to you all. 💕
@ladyk127 goodness, no wonder you have anxiety about medical appt given what you and your family have gone through. I hope your first appt goes well and is less stressful than you anticipate. Thinking of you!
How did you find out: I was craving cottage cheese. There has only been one other time in my life that I have craved cottage cheese. You guessed it. I was pregnant.
My life: I’m 34 and DH is 36. I have a 13 year old daughter from my first marriage, a 7 year old step daughter, and a 5 year old step son. Apparently I just don’t “do” pregnancy with my peers, given how early I started with motherhood (21) and how big of a gap there was in between. This baby is certainly a surprise. I recently decided on a career change and I’ll be starting my last 3 months of law school in Feb. I’m in finals for fall semester right now. My husband is a civil engineer.
We love rather extreme outdoors adventuring. Husband is a mountain biker/skier/road cyclist/canyoneering guru and I love nothing more than a good solo backpacking trip. I also love traveling generally.
Symptoms: I HAVE had -a few weird cravings -a few twinges in my uterus -sore boobs, though not more than typical
I have not had anything else including being tired, headaches, mood swings, nausea
I contacted my provider, but I have not heard back yet in terms of a first appointment. That’s a very common (non) response because I go to my local VA hospital. This will be my first time using VA for pregnancy, so that could be... interesting.
I cannot wait to get to know you guys! I was a member of another due date club for my daughter and 13 years later we’re all still very close!
POAS. We have been trying for the last few months, so I have been testing. I took a test 10 DPO, and it was negative, so I wasn’t too hopeful. Then, I took one last night on a whim (couldn’t wait until morning ), and here we are!
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets?Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) DH and I are both both 34 and have been married for 10 years. We have a 4 (almost 5) year old girl and a 2 (almost 3) year old boy. Both are January babies. I was somewhat active in the J16 board, and VERY active in the J18 board. My J18 moms and I still talk every single day, so I’m excited to form some new relationships here.
I am a high school teacher, and DH works in law enforcement. We are avid campers, and spent a lot of 2020 traveling around with our trailer and finding rural campsites to break up the tedium of quarantine! I have been back on campus for about 8 weeks now (hybrid teaching), but honestly expect to go back to full distance learning soon! I also love to read, hike, and am a photography enthusiast.
First appointment? Any symptoms? Lots of bloat and gas, mild cramping, sore nips, and I have been SO tired this week. I have needed long naps the last few days and I am NOT a napper! I haven’t made my first appointment yet, but plan on calling on Monday to set it up. I’ll probably get in for an US pretty early since I am considered high risk (I have a carnitine deficiency and have to be closely monitored...LOTS of ultrasounds and NST’s towards the end).
Hi all! Coming over from the i/f board. I had an embryo transfer on Nov. 23 and 2 positive beta tests. Ultrasound scheduled for 12/14 to check the sac.
I think my due date based on the calculator is 8/11.
4w4d pregnant as of today. I have a son who just turned 3; he was born via planned c-section at 39 weeks as he was breach.
I am late 30s and work in the legal field. Luckily I’ve been working from home which helps the nausea, tiredness, and weakness I’m feeling more bearable. The worst is in the afternoons.
I had a m/c at 8 weeks back in March so fingers crossed for better results this time.
I’m looking forward to connecting with all of you!
How did you find out? I have taken several tests. I tested at 9DPO and got what I thought were indent lines and honestly probably are. You could only see the line when you tilt the test the right way. So I tested yesterday. I waited 7 minutes and then walked away when the tests were start white. I came back a few minutes later and one test had a definite line but I wasn’t sure if it showed in the time frame. So I took another test yesterday evening and saw an ever so slightly darker line. I confirmed this morning with an FRER.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets?Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) I am a SAHM of 4 kids ages 6, 5, 3, and 13 months. My oldest is 18 and has left the nest. I homeschool (traditional, not due to COVID) my 6 yo and my 5 yo. My husband is a doctor. We live in a small mountain town. We love vacationing in Hawaii and COVID really put a damper on that this year. I hike a lot with my kids and we spend lots of time at the nearby lakes all year round. We have a cat and a new Jack Russell puppy. We were going to add a Doberman later this spring because I think they are beautiful but after this puppy I’m not sure if DH will agree. We may wait another year.
TW - loss mentioned
I have had a SCH with my last 2 pregnancies. The first one being rather large and ended in an early second tri loss. That loss was pretty traumatic for me and it made the next pregnancy an emotional rollercoaster. The SCH (I had 2 that time) in the second pregnancy we’re much smaller. I’m preparing myself for another pregnancy with a SCH so I will likely be taking it easy to keep one from growing. As of now my anxiety is low but I have felt it creeping up on me.
First appointment? Any symptoms? I haven’t called anyone about an appointment. I plan to use a birthing center this time and I need to decide which one I want to go to.
My symptoms include cramping, heartburn, and minor queasiness.
Edit: I wasn’t finished and I needed to add the TW.
Hi all! I'm a Bump veteran and have been here off and on for 13 years, in fact I am still close with my June 11 group ans remember TB before we has due date boards! My dates are complicated, as I am nursing and have had one cycle and I traditionally carry to 41+, so I am guessing mid August right now.
This is my 7th child, my oldest through foster to adoption is 19 and has flown the nest and killing it at college. My earthside bio kids are almost 12, 9, 7, 4, and almost 2.
I am a former professional photographer, am now an herbalist and midwifery student. My husband is a pastor (though we are currently in transition.) We live in Northern New England in a tiny house, with our pit/lab mix and two kitties.
I am a home birth momma and my own midwife will be on maternity leave any day, so my first appointment won't be until late winter.
My symptoms are quite a bit this time around. I usually am not sick until about 8 weeks but it has started essentially right away this time.

@claireloSC, I thought I recognized your name, but wasn’t totally positive! I felt like I was mostly a lurker back then. It’s good to see a familiar face!
How did you find out? I tested early Friday morning. I was mopey on Thursday thinking I wasn't pregnant because I have absolutely no symptoms. But Friday morning came and no period (I always get my period early in the morning) so I tested and it was positive!
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets?Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) This is my first pregnancy but I do have an adorable fur-baby named Luna. She is the absolute cutest! I'm a college instructor, I teach communication classes. I'm working from home for sure until May as they announced that our Spring semester will be online as well. My husband and I have been together 12 years, married for four and we're both really excited to be taking this next step! I love playing Dungeons and Dragons, hiking, camping, knitting, and listening to true crime podcasts.
First appointment? Any symptoms? I had an appointment with my regular doctor Friday afternoon after I got my positive test. She did a blood draw and gave me a referral over to the hospital we'll be using (my husband is getting his PhD and we are on the student insurance so we have to go through student health before seeing anyone else). My first official pre-natal appointment is scheduled for Jan 15. I do wish it was a bit sooner but the midwife I prefer didn't have any openings until then. I don't currently have any symptoms which makes me a little nervous by my doctor said that's normal.
@dancingnarwhal, welcome! And no symptoms at this stage is TOTALLY normal. I usually don’t get any noticeable symptoms until 6 weeks. It’s only this go around that my symptoms seemed immediate.
I love playing Dungeons and Dragons, hiking, camping, knitting, and listening to true crime podcasts.
True crime podcasts are my favorite!! I love Crime Junkie the most. Also, I wish I could knit. I'm sure that's going to be super handy with a baby on board!
How did you find out? I tested on Saturday 10dpo not expecting to see anything. In fact, I didn't see anything, but when I went to throw the test away a little later there was a line! Confirmed with other tests since then. I'm still a day or two from a missed period so I'm trying not to get too excited (I wish the stupid line on my tests would hurry up and get darker!), but at the same time I'm feeling uncharacteristically positive.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets?Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) This is my first pregnancy. H and I are both 34; together for 10 years; married for one. We have two wonderful kittens that we adopted this spring. I work in communications for an international development organization; my husband is an economist. I'm into running, gardening, reading/writing, camping, and--in a pre-COVID world--performing standup comedy and storytelling.
First appointment? Any symptoms? I'm going to call for one today; it looks like they schedule the first around 7 weeks. Virtually no symptoms yet. I'd never have suspected had we not been TTC. I have felt a bit of fatigue/headache-y for the past day, but that could just as likely be the result of my reduced caffeine consumption.
I'm excited to get to you all of you and wishing everyone the best!
@surrenderdorothy Thank you! It's been a traumatizing few years but my husband just got another clean bill of health at almost 4 years remission so we are feeling really positive about that. Hoping my appt goes well too!
@BourbonBiscuits I’m praying for none this time. Although, statistically it would be likely for me to have another one. I’m just hoping if I do have one my provider puts me on progesterone suppositories and I can stay on my couch as much as possible.
@ladyk127 I just went back and ready your intro post - my wife had cancer as well, this baby is her egg. She retrieved embryos before undergoing chemo. Just want to say I know your pain and anxiety! Once you've gone through cancer you're always waiting for the other shoe to drop.

@claireloSC It's so true. I always expect bad news. We've probably gotten more good test results than bad at this point but that feeling hasn't left me yet. I wonder if it ever will honestly. I hope your wife is doing well now!!
Due date? Tentatively 8/6 (I think I ovulated early so I am waiting to see if my dating ultrasound changes this date.)
How did you find out? I took a test at exactly 3 weeks after my last period and was SHOCKED but it explained my symptoms. (Hence why I think I must have ovulated early).
Tell us about yourself? I am 38 and have three kiddos 12, 8, and 6 months. I have a degree in sustainable urban development and used to work in the restorative justice field. My partner is a senior graphic designer for a big company, which has allowed me to switch to homeschooling my kids and staying home since Covid hit.
First appointment? Any symptoms? I got my hcg drawn a week ago and it was 1675 at 4w3d. I have an ultrasound scheduled for 12/22 but am headed into the doctor for a precautionary rhogam shot today. I’m dealing with some spotting and am RH negative. This happened with 2/3 of my kids and everything was fine. It also ended poorly for two other pregnancies. Morning sickness is going strong so I’m holding onto that and just trying to relax. My sniffer is out in full force as well! My sweet partner (who is working from home still) has taken over all poopy diaper duty and has been getting up every night for the baby’s feedings so I can sleep sleep sleep.
@claireloSC That's great. Good for her! Praying for continuous good news. My husband wasn't staged. Leukemia works a little differently. If he hadn't gone to the doctor when he did, he probably wouldn't have survived another two weeks. He had half of the normal blood amount someone should have. His was very aggressive. Typically the survival rate is about 20% but we've almost made it! Hopefully we're all just getting good news from here on out.
@ladyk127 My god, so glad you caught it. So happy for your family! Hoping you keep getting more good news!
I could tell stories for days. My wife's cancer was also pretty insane, most BC patients are way older so that along makes her a high chance for recurrence and then also her tumor was insanely huge, 12cm, and had spread to lymph nodes. She also had surgery and they left some cancer behind so she had to have them redo her surgery. So she's completely flat now, all lymphs gone on one side, ovaries removed (since her cancer is hormone driven) plus high doses of radiation and chemo. If it comes back at least we know we did everything possible and more. But yeah, you're always worrying about every little cough. This insta has a lot of funny young survivor memes that help me feel less alone. Mostly I worry about raising our kids by myself but I've gotten into a mindset of thinking enjoy what we have and if it happens I'll manage eventually and we have to live our lives. I feel a lot better she's made it two years (in another week) because she had some super high chance of recurrence that I try not to think about. Cancer is a big TW. And my mother in law and another family member passed of it (lung and stomach cancer probably, they actually never figured it out) as well and I helped both of them with their care, so I'm unfortunately an expert. Having a baby is the best FU to cancer ever though!

@claireloSC Two years is a big deal! That was a huge milestone for Colin as well. If AML is going to come back it's most likely to happy in the first two years. Once we got past that I could breath a LITTLE easier... not by much though. Agree about having a baby in spite of it all. They said we would need to do IVF because he would likely be sterile after chemo, so we banked. But I've been pregnant three times since he ended chemo so we finally got rid of what we banked after my daughter was born. That was a good feeling. I have to see a breast specialist at the hospital because of my family history. My great grandmother died of BC, my grandmother had cervical cancer and then colon cancer years later, my mom got uterine cancer a month after my husband was diagnosed so because of all that they think early testing is wise (I'm 33) At least get a baseline! I did the DNA testing, but everything came back okay so that was reassuring. I wish I had better advice for getting through the "what if I end up alone" thing. The only thing I've always reminded myself of was, nothing is promised to anyone. I could walk outside and get hit by a bus and Col would end up alone. That's morbid.. but it's true. It's not promised to anyone. We can't worry about every little thing forever. Sometimes that helped. I am really glad COVID wasn't a thing back in 2016 though, I'll say that.
Hi everyone! First time mom to be over here with all the feels.
Due date? August 15, 2021
How did you find out? I’m an information hoarder by nature so I started testing 8 dpo and got my first positive test on day 9. I’ve been testing daily to track hcg progression with the lines darkening and someone needs to tell me when to stop haha
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets?Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?)
This is my first child, my husband and I are in our late 20’s and have been together for 10 years. We have 2 dogs and 2 cats and my sister also lives with us, which I anticipate will be incredibly helpful the first few months.
My husband and I are pretty chill - I work in leadership at a fast paced start up so most of my time is spent overworking and decompressing from overworking 😂 I definitely want to spend the next 9 months figuring out what will be the new normal. We love board games, movie nights, reading, nights hanging out with our friends.
First appointment? Any symptoms? First appointment is 01/06/2021. Symptom wise I’m having fatigue, runny nose, vivid dreams, some occasional light nausea, and fatigue. So far no morning sickness or sore breasts, which I probably should be grateful for but really am just feeling anxious something isn’t right.
Excited to connect with everyone more and follow along with all of the incredible journeys following a similar timeline to mine 🥰 thanks for reading if you made it this far!
Due date? Probably 8/23 (my mil's birthday) my dates are pretty accurate this time, but they were WAY off with my last two.
How did you find out? I was really nauseous and my PPA disappeared in like a day, so I decided a pregnancy test was warranted. Lol first test was... inconclusive, second test was not.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets?Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) Three kiddos, my oldest boy is 5, my girl is 3, and and younger boy will be 2 next month. I'm a licensed real estate agent but not currently working. I've been pregnant, breastfeeding, or both since getting pregnant with my oldest 6 years ago. I recently started reading again. Other than that, I don't really do anything except homeschool my kindergartener and preschooler. Lol My husband is awesome, he runs his own business and does everything to support our family financially so that I could leave my job and go back to being a SAHM.
First appointment? Any symptoms? Not scheduled yet. I'll probably give it a week before I call to schedule. My nipples are burning! Breastfeeding my youngest is so uncomfortable! Nausea like crazy, and good symptom, my postpartum anxiety just disappeared overnight. So at least theres that. Haha
How did you find out? I’m an information hoarder by nature, so I started POAS 8 DPO and got my first positive on 9 DPO. I’m still testing every few days to track the darker line for hcg level increasing - someone needs to tell me when to stop 😂
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets?Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?)
This is the first pregnancy for my husband and I. We’re in our late 20s and have been together for 10 years. We have 2 dogs and 2 cats. My sister also lives with us, which I anticipate will be super helpful in the beginning months.
I work in leadership at a fast paced start up, so I spend most of my free time working or decompressing from working lol. I am definitely going to need to spend some time preparing for a new normal once baby comes.
My husband and I are pretty chill, we like to read, watch movies, play board games, play video games, and hang out with our friends on evenings and weekends. We’re moderate “outdoors” people in that we love to be outside but don’t do it as often as we’d like!
First appointment? Any symptoms? My first appointment is 01/06/2021 and I’m having a hard time deciding whether to tell family and Christmas or not since it’s still so early. I am leaning toward yes, as we’ll want support either way in these early days, but wish I’d at least get to hear the heartbeat before then.
Symptom wise - fatigue, vivid dreams, a runny nose, headaches. I haven’t really had any morning sickness or sore breasts (yet) and should probably be grateful but am mostly just nervous something may be wrong.
Thanks for reading it you’ve made it this far! Overall I’m excited to be here and follow along on these amazing journeys with other moms on a similar timeline!
My due date is August 10th I took a test 3 days before my missed period and got a faint line. We weren’t really trying but we’re kind of thinking of a third so it’s unexpected but not a complete shock.
I have a 5 year old and 2 year old and a dog with my husband.
My first appointment will be January 16yh so I’ll be about 9.5 weeks. I’ll be going back to the birth center where I had my second. my main symptom for the last few days has been fatigue. I’ve been so tired by Early evening. I’ve also had a little bit of nausea especially if I haven’t eaten for a while. I’m also just very bloated already and my pants are uncomfortable.
August 21- but I’ll be induced at 39 weeks on 8/14
How did you find out? My female dog was being very protective of me and not leaving my side starting around Tuesday/Wednesday. The last time she acted like this was the last time I was pregnant.
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets?Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?)
My H and I have been together/married for 12+ years. We have a DD that is 6, 2 German Shepherds, 6 chickens and will be adding a greenhouse and goats this spring. We’ve been dealing with secondary infertility for almost 5 years. I’ve turned into a little farmer since we moved to our mountain home. I love listening to true crime podcasts.
**TW**
I found out I was pregnant in April and had a MMC the end of May and needed a D&C. I was due 12/22 so the timing of this pregnancy was a surprise.
First appointment? Any symptoms?
I have a call in for my first appointment. I will be seeing a MFM because of a clotting disorder and blood thinners. Last time I was seen at 6 weeks so I’m betting the same this time around. I’ll be insisting on being seen every 2 weeks until I’m past my mmc gestation date.
Due date? August 27th but it will be a RCS so I'll deliver at least 1 week earlier.
How did you find out? We were trying so I tested yesterday and got a faint line. Today's line is nice and dark:)
Tell us about yourself (Other children/pets?Job? Things you like to do? Spouse/partner?) I'm 41. I have an almost 7 year old daughter and an almost 18 month old daughter. We decided to try again before our window closes and here we are:) I'm a high school teacher (still on mat leave from DD2...go back January 4th) and SO is an architect. Hoping I get to stick around for the long haul! I was mostly a lurker here with DD1 in 2013/14, but loved my BMB here with DD2.
TW
I had a chemical in September and 2 later losses between my 2 girls so I'm hoping this one is a fighter and that we caught an egg that isn't too old and moldy...
End TW
First appointment? Any symptoms? I haven't made an appointment yet, but I'm hoping I'll be able to do it by phone. I'll likely call on Monday. Only symptoms are nausea and sore boobs.

Probably 8/23 (my mil's birthday) my dates are pretty accurate this time, but they were WAY off with my last two.
I was really nauseous and my PPA disappeared in like a day, so I decided a pregnancy test was warranted. Lol first test was... inconclusive, second test was not.
Three kiddos, my oldest boy is 5, my girl is 3, and and younger boy will be 2 next month.
Not scheduled yet. I'll probably give it a week before I call to schedule. My nipples are burning! Breastfeeding my youngest is so uncomfortable! Nausea like crazy, and good symptom, my postpartum anxiety just disappeared overnight. So at least theres that. Haha
Due date?

How did you find out?
I’m an information hoarder by nature, so I started POAS 8 DPO and got my first positive on 9 DPO. I’m still testing every few days to track the darker line for hcg level increasing - someone needs to tell me when to stop 😂

I took a test 3 days before my missed period and got a faint line. We weren’t really trying but we’re kind of thinking of a third so it’s unexpected but not a complete shock.
my main symptom for the last few days has been fatigue. I’ve been so tired by Early evening. I’ve also had a little bit of nausea especially if I haven’t eaten for a while. I’m also just very bloated already and my pants are uncomfortable.
I have a call in for my first appointment. I will be seeing a MFM because of a clotting disorder and blood thinners. Last time I was seen at 6 weeks so I’m betting the same this time around. I’ll be insisting on being seen every 2 weeks until I’m past my mmc gestation date.

I had a chemical in September and 2 later losses between my 2 girls so I'm hoping this one is a fighter and that we caught an egg that isn't too old and moldy...

I haven't made an appointment yet, but I'm hoping I'll be able to do it by phone. I'll likely call on Monday. Only symptoms are nausea and sore boobs.
Off to read through all the other intros...
